My favorite restaurant in NYC. I try coming every week, honestly. My ULTIMATE favorite dish is the Aguachile de Camaron. The steak, enchiladas, oysters, steak tartar and EVERYTHING is to die for.

G
Giovanna Bettoli

great food, great service (attentive but unobtrusive), truly excellent cocktails! the only critique I'd have is the pricing of some dishes (e.g. the guac) but c'est la vie in NYC. really enjoyed the fact that it wasn't loud at all. we got there for early dinner right before 6pm on Friday and it was only a couple of minutes wait to be seated.

We had four small plates: the octopus and steak tartare tostados, the fluke ceviche, and the grilled scallop. Everything was beautifully presented and flavorful. Service and timing were perfect. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

Very good service Amazing tostada de pulpo y camaron!! Absolutely delish, gourmet/high cuisine quality Steak tartare frankly was 3/5. I think it was lacking salt + corn overpowers the délicate taste of tartar I also had a cocktail (chef Cosme martini) - strong. Overall, nice place to drop by for a quick bite!

Walk-in only. All seats are bar style so recommended solely for 2-3 people. Put our names down ~6:55p a Tuesday. They said would be a 1.5 hr wait, but was only 50 mins. It’s always risky going to a $$ place and more when it’s from the same team as a restaurant I don’t appreciate (Casa Enrique), buut WOW. The food was WORTH IT. Worth the wait, worth the uncomfortable setting and seats and lack of space. I’m not even mad about the high prices and EXTREMELY small portions. I put my hand in all the pics to show size comparison jaja lol, you are welcome. All tostadas come with 2, but as we were 3 they offered to make the portion 3 (love flexible, accommodating restaurants). *My favs*: ⭐️toastadas de pulpo y camaron - all the flavors mixed beautifully and magically; ⭐️ ceviche de lobster - I was worried because when you see something in the menu that doesn’t have a price you know you are a tribute to robbery. It was $65 and I think I would be in love if it would be around $40, because it was so perfectly cooked and the sauce was marvelous. The sauce tasted like I could add it to everything and don’t get that ‘too much sauce’ taste ever; lastly, ⭐️ helado de queso con olive oil, honey, y pumpkin seeds. I have always loved cheese ice cream and adding olive oil to ice cream so this was a curated experience. Yes yes yes yes. *Now, my pretty good, but not favs*: 👍mar y tierra, also not the best to split because is tiny so you basically just get a bite, but I liked it. 👍 Pastel de tres leches, it was prettyy good, but the ice cream was so much better. *And, the one and only thing I was not a fan of* 👇and don’t get me wrong, it was acceptable, just I don’t want it again: steak tartare tostada. Each one of us (3 ppl) paid $69.69+tip je je jee

Completely blown away by the food, service, and Mexican hospitality. About two months ago, I mentioned that we really needed a great Mexican restaurant in the village. My wish has been granted and then some. Compliments to chef Cosme - you are a genius! 🙇‍♀️ Follow me on insta for more recommendations: foodiesonamission

The food here is absolutely next level. Not cheap but dishes are well executed. Got the steak special which exceeded expectation. The only complaint with this restaurant is that it is like a shoebox with little wiggle room which makes the experience inconvenient when compared to Casa Enrique which is spacious.

Chef Cosme does it again! Quique Crudo is such a special experience. The flavors of each dish are each unique, decadent, and melt in your mouth. The atmosphere is intimate and elevated. Each dish got better and better as it came out. My favorites were the seared scallops, lobster ceviche, and the steak tartare! We can’t wait to go again!!

The best Mexican food you'll ever eat in your entire life. The chef is polite, engaging and has an amazing menu. The entire staff is so great, if you decide to eat here you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic drinks and seafood. The aguachiles and tostadas were amazing, and the scallops are not to be missed. Dessert (cheese ice cream and tres leches) are a must! The team is so warm and welcoming.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made everything easy from the moment I walked in. I ordered the tuna crudo with guava, and it was spectacular. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. I also tried the tostada de pulpo y camarón, the aguachile negro de callos de hacha, and the ceviche de pescado. All of them were excellent, super fresh and full of flavor. The tuna crudo was actually a special, so it might not be on the menu all the time, but it’s definitely worth getting if it is. Overall, great food and great service. I’d definitely come back. I don’t think they take reservations, but we arrived around 4:30 PM on a Saturday (they open at 5:00 PM) and were able to get in right away. That said, it filled up quickly after opening, so I’d recommend getting there a bit early.

Hands down one of the best new restaurants I’ve been to in NYC. The aguachile, tostadas, and scallops were all so flavorful without being too heavy. Make sure not to skip dessert - the pecan and cajeta ice cream was a standout.

Gotta say this was the best restaurant I've been to in NYC. Not the biggest place but did not go for the place went for the food and did not disappoint! Drinks and food were amazing and the chef and his crew nothing less than professional and attentive! Definitely recommend trying this place out. 👌 Will definitely be back!

The Tres Leches cake is a MUST GET!! So moist, creamy, and delicious. The restaurant is small, all counter seating, but has a lively atmosphere. The menu also has many gems. Their take on surf and turf comes with a big juicy scallop, chorizo, fried crispy potatoes, cashews and 2 creamy sauces- amazing. Their guac and chips is also very tasty!

We can't stop thinking about the food, especially the enchiladas with the green sauce. We went to NYC for a weekend of food and drinks. We got in on the noon train and actually had a 2pm reservation for omakase. We had planned on stopping by at Quique Crudo around 5:30pm to put on name on the list and hopefully get a seat closer to 7pm as we had such a late lunch. To our surprise, we got prime seats at the bar! We gladly accepted the seats and thought we'd try a few cocktails and 2 small plates. We ordered the shrimp aguachile and scallop dish and a few cocktails. Then we added one more plate, the enchilada with the dreamy green sauce! Service was friendly and attentive and sitting at the bar we got front row views of the ballet of chefs creating art! The dishes were as beautiful and they were delicious. We will definitely go back when we go up to NYC.

this place is so good! it’s small but they try to pack in the seating efficiently and no reservations which i really like. no wait at 9ish on a weekday for 2 people. food is outstanding esp at the price point it’s offered. chef is putting out great dishes. hope to come back. the razor clams were the best i’ve ever had

We come for first time and Quique Crudo. The food was delicious. We tried the Nantucket bay scallops with sour soup- the memela with bone marrow- the lobster ceviche- Mar y tierra.the Chef Cosme & team super attentive and knowledgeable. We have at bless time

S

Quique Crudo delivers truly outstanding raw dishes. We tried the razor clams, lobster ceviche, scallop ceviche (a special of the day), and steak tartare, and every plate highlighted just how incredibly fresh the ingredients are. The sauces were sophisticated, bright, and clean, elevating the seafood without overpowering it. You can really tell the focus here is precision and quality. The only downside is the space itself. It's very small and can feel quite packed, especially during busy hours. That said, the food more than makes up for it, and it’s absolutely worth a visit if you appreciate fresh, thoughtfully prepared seafood. Highly recommend for date nights!!!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had, truly unforgettable. It’s hard to believe such incredible quality could come out of such a small kitchen/bar. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and exciting, but the standouts for me were the Mar y Tierra, the razor clams (a rare and wonderful find), and the bone marrow dish, (ask about the bone marrow shot) absolute highlights. Even the Caesar salad was a delightful surprise, far beyond what you’d expect. For dessert, the cheese ice cream completely stole the show, unique, creative, and delicious. If you find yourself in the Village and have a love for seafood, Quique is an absolute must try. A special place that clearly pours heart and passion into every plate.

The space was small and compact, but the food quality was a total surprise—in the best way. I honestly didn’t expect Mexican food to feel this high-end, especially with such fresh, high-quality seafood. Everything tasted incredibly clean and well balanced, way beyond my expectations. What really stood out was the staff. They explained each dish clearly and gave great recommendations, and you could tell they really knew what they were talking about. Their professional but friendly attitude made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of those places that leaves a strong impression after you leave.

The food was delicious, and the ambiance and music created a fun, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to serve while keeping the space clean. We truly enjoyed every dish(I loved the anchovies in the salad!) and the pineapple margaritas were absolutely delightful.

A delicious culinary experience that puts a high-end twist on Mexican classics! All the seafood was so fresh, the drinks were fantastic, and the desserts were surprising (especially the cheese ice cream which is a MUST TRY). Thank you Jamie for making my friends’ and my first time here memorable 🙏 We are sure to come back.

Was super excited to check out this place as a aguachile fanatic. Quique crudo did such an incredible job, beautifully plated and most importantly tasted phenomenal! Chef Cosme and the wonderful staff made us feel at home. Can’t wait to come back and try out more stuff on their menu.

Memorable dishes, no leftovers, and a great experience. Every plate landed clean. The fruit-based sauces were light, bright, and highlighted the seafood well. Service was quick and dishes appeared the moment our space was cleared. From our seats, we watched the kitchen craft the next set of dishes. Solid experience and well worth the visit.

What a fantastic meal. A modern take of Mexican seafood tapas. Every bite is an explosion of flavors. The seafood are very fresh and the sauce is the best, I can just eat the sauce by itself The whole lobster is a bit pricy but definitely my favorite of them all. The size of the lobster is not small and the sauce pair so well with the lobster. There was the soft shell crab in the special, it was worth a $36, and we ordered a second one because it was so good. Seared scallop is huge size and perfectly cooked and still juicy. Razor clam is chopped to small pieces all very clean. The space is very tight, the seats by he wall is a bit tough to sit and eat. Recommend to wait for the bar seat. The table cleared out around 9pm on the weeknight I went. The service is top notch, all the staffs are friendly and attentive. The price tag is high but it’s worth every penny

Lobster, scallop, and chicken were amazing. The flavor are gentle but amazing, very understated yet nice. Arrive at the latest by 4:50 as they only do walk-in opening at 5pm, we were a party of 5 and got lucky by being 3rd in line. There are maybe only 20-25 seats available in the restaurants. Some courses are more expected and similar elsewhere, and I would say the cocktails are also quite expected. But for sure would still recommend visiting for an incredibly fun and enjoyable dinner near SoHo and West Village. PS. They do specials every night too. When I went there was the Bone Marrow and it smelled and looked so good!!

Easily one of the better meals in recent memory. The bone marrow special is still on our mind. Seafood was fresh and the scallop dish was one of the best we've ever had. what an incredible experience at quique! love the intimate atmosphere, even if it makes getting in on a weekend evening in under 2 hours nearly impossible. leave your name long before you want to eat go live your life and come back for a spectacular meal. we leaned into a couple of the specials—scallop crudo with mango and 6oz strip steak with potatoes, salsa verde and queso fresco—and both were exceptional. from the regular menu we had the guac which came with really yummy tortilla chips, razor clam aguachile, fresh and citrusy with just a hint of creaminess from an avocado, and the caesar salad with boquerones and tons of grated parm. oh! and the cocktails were delicious. they are mostly classics or twists on a classic… we tried 4 of them and there were no misses. the cherry on top were angie, the hostess, and our server, nicole, who were just as hospitable as you want folks to be in an extremely popular, buzzy and busy resto. everything about quique is warm, welcoming and delicious!

Absolutely divine meal from start to finish. The flavour was insane for each dish and had the perfect amount of balance! The green salsa they use is also actually crack it’s so delicious. Quique Crudo is a true gem. Despite its small size, the experience is outstanding. The cocktails are excellent—creative, distinctive, and very well executed. The aguachiles are truly special, with each ingredient clearly standing out. The tostadas are even more impressive knowing the tortillas are handmade in-house. The dishes are small and designed for sharing, making it easy (and fun) to try many different flavors. The staff has that uniquely warm Mexican and Latin American charm—welcoming, genuine, and friendly, like old friends. I will definitely return on my next visit to NYC.

Not sure why this place doesn’t take reservations. I thought it would be hard to get a spot but actually quite empty on a Friday evening. Every dish was decent enough but all crudo tastes the same. It was the mole and fried soft shell crab that were superior. Crudo is very expensive for how much food you get.

Alright so came in on a Saturday night. Originally the wait was in hour and ended up being over 2 hours long. The place is extremely small so I can understand a long wait but to wait an additional hour + was not cool. Finally once seated the food did not disappoint. The lobster ceviche alone is worth checking out this place. Would definitely go back but wouldn’t wait 2 hours again.

good food! the space is a bit tight so hard to focus on your guest when people are constantly going back and forth behind you. the food was delicious and filling! the scallop were my favourite!

A compact, stark and efficient Mexican eatery/ small bar/ seafood counter. The severe color scheme of black and white decor is screaming for some bright color relief, which came first up with my pineapple cocktail and the multicolor tostada appetizer. The staff is friendly, attentive, trustworthy and volunteers their take on the food and their favorites dishes. Not a place to hang out for too long and there is a constant flow of customers looking for a place to sit at the small counter.

Came here on a recent Monday shortly after they began offering reservations!! My res was for 5pm and I was seated promptly. I ordered the razor clams, the lobster ceviche and the ceviche de pescado. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS - among the very best ceviches and crudos in the city IMO. What is less appealing to me is how rushed the experience feels. This is not a place to come for a leisurely meal with friends (or even solo). It's a very cramped spot with only counter seating so be prepared to be in and out in around an hour. That said, I am hooked and I will be back to try out more of the menu because it is so delicious.

There’s been a lot of hype about this spot so we came with very high expectations. The service at Quique Crudo is the real standout—friendly, attentive, and genuinely professional from start to finish. The food is solid and enjoyable, though it doesn’t quite hit the mark of being truly memorable. Unfortunately, the overall vibe and interior design leave something to be desired; it feels claustrophobic and a bit underwhelming, which kinda takes away from the dining experience. Overall a nice little spot, but we were not blown away.

When I got my check I was blind sided by the price of the steak special considering everything on the menu was a small plate priced $20-30. The steak was $160, which is pricier than a specialty steakhouse—I would have appreciated a heads up!

The seafood at this restaurant is very delicious, but the way they cook the meat(chicken, pork) is terrible. They taste sweet! OMG. None of us liked it and we only took one bite. The space is quite cramped, and there is a strong smell of oil in the air. The music is very loud and they serve food slow. $100 per person

Quique Crudo is the hottest kid on the block. Literally. Strolling down this stretch of Bedford St on a Friday evening, I saw staff from neighboring, nearly empty restaurants staring forlornly and longingly at the never-ending crowd in front of Quique. It was....awkward. And Quique knows just how to style itself. They take no reservations--you have to walk in, sign up and pray to Dios that you'll get contacted before your stomach eats itself in the next two hours. Is the food worth the wait? Some of it is. Our Tostada de Pulpo y Camaron was our best dish, full of fresh seafood pieces, a cocktail sauce that for once wasn't too sweet or tart, and perfectly prepared accompaniments. The Ceviche de Pescado was a well-done classic that felt like a bite of summer. The beautiful Aguachile Verde de Navajas was Instagrammable loveliness, but the clams were too chewy for my liking and the marinade was lackluster. The special of Soft Shell Crab had a great smokey sauce, but the portions were a bit small for the price. Our biggest disappointment was the much-touted Mar y Tierra: not enough scallop and too much cashew filler instead of hash potato and chipotle. Expect Manhattan prices as well. Though the menu is mostly small plates for sharing, most dishes are $25+. Sigh. I probably could've forgiven my quibbles with the food if we hadn't been packed like sardines. Quique Crudo is the classic NYC conundrum of too many people packed into too small a space (and probably too high rent). We had the last two seats at the bar next to the restroom, and no more than 5 minutes went by without me being jostled by one of the staff entering and exiting the kitchen (despite trying to sit as far from the corner as possible). It was a good thing it was a warm night because there would have been no walking room if people were still waring their winter coats. In a nutshell: The restaurant ambience is a fire hazard waiting to happen. I'm guessing most people forgive the claustrophobia because they love the food, but since it was hit or miss for me, I just couldn't. Won't be back unless they move to a bigger space.

Placed our name on a waitlist and went to a local bar until they called us to let us know the table was ready. When we got back, the table was in fact not ready - we then waited for almost an hour outside in the cold to be seated. The food was uninspired and disappointing to say the least. Each dish had potential but didn’t quite hit the mark in terms of flavors and textures.

Uninspiring and over hyped. Had high hopes given the accolades of praise, alas, a very one note experience. Most of the dishes were overpoweringly spicy from the pepper and too acidic (beyond what is expected typically of ceviche). I would say the seafood is very fresh, just very little depth and interest. In the end, 4 out of the 6 dishes we had tasted pretty much the same. Best part of the evening were the cocktails and dessert. No reservation and the space is uncomfortably tight.

One of the worst restaurants I've been to, it's laughable. I don't think half the price of this is worth it. Food came with a lot of mayonnaise and simple sauces on it (texture was not complex at all) – looks okay in the photos but in reality they serve plated food items that taste worse than McDonald's burgers. For example, the tartare was served loaded with a very cheap-tasting sauce that you couldn't even taste the flavor of the beef, and also included 2 store bought crackers. Ridiculous. Would say it's not worth it, service is careless (mistakenly brought on many different items), and it's an extremely claustrophobic space. It's funny how they think they are able to charge such high prices for such bad food!
