Love the food here! So fresh and seasonal. Only thing frozen is the gelato and the ice cubes. Oh and the mimosas? Made w/freshly squeezed orange juice.

Still our go to place for a nice dinner downtown. It was nice to see the place doing well even on a rainy Sunday night.

With so many options to chose from in the village, Market Table is hands down one of the best. From the food to the drinks, you can’t go wrong with ordering anything on the menu.

Back in Soho and our first brunch off the plane was at Market Table. Clean and bright decor with a fun quinoa salad, mushroom omelette, and Taco 🌮 omelette with black beans.

Phenomenal very special restaurant with excellent service. The atmosphere was cozy and classy. Loved the huge windows and flattering lighting at each table. Fresh, creative dishes with decent options for plant based folks. A giant selection of drinks and wine. I liked how they listed the chefs names on the menu even though I’m not a huge foodie and don’t actually follow any particular chefs.

Fabulous staff, incredible food. You won't regret ordering anything you choose on the menu. Portions are exactly the amount to fill you but not stuff you.

Market Table is a local gem! This is one of those restaurants that we all have in our neighborhoods that we make a habit of going again and again. It's one of those consistent performers where you can take your friends and know that they will be fed well and treated well. This is not a "me too" restaurant that serves "Fried Calamari" or "Clam Chowder". There food is meticulously prepared and well presented using high quality "farm to table" ingredients. I also like the fact that I see the same servers over and over again. The waitstaff is consistent and knowledgeable about the ingredients in all of the dishes and cocktails. The host, Pam, always greets us (and every other customer) with a huge smile of recognition. We love this place and you will to. It's worth noting that Market Table is part of a restaurant group that includes The Clam, Little Owl and the Mary Lane (among others). These are all really good restaurants, but my local favorite is Market Table.

Been here a few times, it’s a great spot for me since I have a sensitive stomach. Plenty of veggie and fish forward dishes. The asparagus particularly was excellent, and the cod I got was cooked well. Portion was decent enough that I could’ve just got a main dish and been satisfied. The wine selection was also decent, and our server was attentive enough without checking in too often. Would definitely come here again, especially for a date night or small group of friends.

Delicious food, very kind service. A good choice for casual (as in "not too upscale, but very well-prepared") meal. Good selection of seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails.

Had an amazing dinner at Market Table last Friday night with my wife. The food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, from appetizers to the mains and dessert. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything was perfectly balanced. The rotating specials will make returning more exciting with always something new to try. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent—attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend this spot for dinner in NYC!

We had a lovely experience at Market Table. The scallops appetizer was nothing short of spectacular, and the zero-proof mulled apple cider was equally delicious. I had the garlic-crusted cod afterwards which was well-prepared, though the portion was on the smaller side. My wife’s squash dish was a bit underwhelming, especially given the restaurant’s otherwise strong impression. The setting is very charming, with large windows overlooking Carmine Street and tasteful Christmas decorations that underlined the cozy, West Village atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. Overall, while not perfect, it was a very pleasant evening and well worth five stars.

As soon as I walked past this place, I sensed that it was going to be great. There was no wait time which is always nice as we ate at an off time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute and cozy and the service was pleasant. The food came out relatively fast and was so fresh and delicious. The prices aren’t too bad for brunch which is always appealing. The menu isn’t too big or small as they have a a good selection to choose from. If you’re looking to get a quick to eat, then this place suits what you’re seeking.

Visited this place on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We were able to make a reservation about an hour ahead on a Wednesday night. Got seated quickly and loved the ambiance. The menu was full of fresh and seasonal ingredients and I had a hard time deciding. Went with the beet salad, scallops, cauliflower, and chicken. Everything was prepared with care and was excellent. I wanted to lick the plate clean is the sauces, they were so delicious. I'd come back again for this experience.

I wish I had taken a better picture to really showcase how excellent my meal was. This place does not disappoint! The staff is friendly but we did have to ask specifically for several things we had originally ordered but never received. They still get 5 stars because the food is great!

We snagged an outdoor table on a Saturday night, although the interior is very charming and romantic. The cocktails were fresh and the food was delicious. We had the beef carpaccio, the salmon, the half chicken, and the special (swordfish). Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was fantastic.

Had an excellent meal at Market Table. Was a bit apprehensive that I was able to get a prime time table on a Saturday night. However, we opted to order 4 small dishes instead of a main course. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend Market Table.

We were looking for a healthy spot in the West Village and Market table came up. The 3 of us went on a Friday night and made a reservation. The place is cool, very dark and elegant. The food is really good especially the cruchy zucchini and the pork chop. Prices are avarage.

Update 2nd visit: outdoor dining during the pandemic, delicious dinner and they did a good job in the street. Tacos were delicious and well prepared, I had the Po’boy which was also very tasty. Really enjoyed dinner here, terrific food and great service. Pleasant room. Everything was delicious. I’ll be back!

Gnocchi to start was over salted and the gnocchis were mushy. Steak was very good and the black bass was very satisfying especially the greens that came with. 5 stars though for the incredible lime and kiwi dessert special and the terrific service.

Great food. Great service. Warm vibe. On a random search for a brunch spot downtown we happened across this sweet spot on the corner of Carmine and Bedford. From the moment you walk in you feel at home. I had brunch here with two friends and there was something for everyone. There are gluten-free options, which I am always on the lookout for on the menu, and the service was attentive and friendly.

Market Table, located in the West Village of Manhattan, is such a lovely spot for food + cocktails!! :-) First, I want to say that their staff are amazing - my partner & I visited recently for a quick bite & a cocktail, so we sat at the bar. The bartender took incredible care of us, which really elevated our experience!! For food, I highly recommend their Old Bay Fries (a great pre-dinner snack). For drinks, I tried one of their signature cocktails and one of their seasonal offerings - each were really delicious. However, you absolutely MUST try the Angel's Pulse - oh my God. It's so, so delicious! In all, Market Table is a great spot. I'm really looking forward to returning!!

K

Tldr: listen to the servers, their knowledge of the menu is 2nd only to the Cooks. Went to grab lunch with a small group and ordered the Burrata, Baby gem and beat salad, Pumpkin gnocchi, salmon tartare, Blistered Shishito peppers, the off-menu Fish taco, and the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Overall all the dishes were great to share and the sandwich was a great entree for one. But the main stand outs to me are the Pumpkin gnocchi, Blistered Shishito peppers, and the Fish taco which were recommended by the server. The only disappointing thing is that when we tried to get another round of fish tacos we were told they were sold out 😭.

Everything about Market Table was incredible. The food, the service, the cocktails, the atmosphere. Could not have asked for better. Update - just went back to Market Table and it was just as excellent. Manager Ben and server Diego were fantastic, and their spring menu rollout is outstanding. Get the Annapurna cocktail - it changed my life!

Great place for brunch! The breakfast tacos were pretty good, but the real gem is the beet and yogurt salad which was amazing. Another special surprise is the home fries that come with the brunch eggs which were some of the best I've had. Very recommended!

The service and the food were fresh and delicious. We sat outside which was nice but it’s a bit exposed to the public. There was also a table next to us with two kids running around and making toons of noise, which was okay but just a little distracting. Relaxing environment and very fresh food.

Very good and fresh food. I had the fish and it was excellent and cooked to perfection. The peach salad is good to get when in season. I had the crème brûlée and it was just ok as they put it on a crust and there were better choices on the menus. Overall excellent meal and good service.

Service and food were fantastic here. It's mostly seafood based dishes. My handsome companion got the salmon with something risotto and I got the baked cod fish with lump crab meat. The fish was well prepared and not over cooked. The restaurant also has a romantic ambience to it in case you're looking for a date place. Many of the items on their menu seem gluten-free as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Great spot with big windows and awesome people watching. The location is perfect and the service was fast without feeling rushed. The burger was amazing. The bacon was perfectly crispy and the fries were well seasoned and super satisfying. We started with the banana bread which was such a nice way to kick things off. My partner ordered the pancakes with the cheesecake filling and absolutely loved them. Overall a really great meal in a great location. Would definitely come back.

We read reviews and made a reservation for 5 after seeing a play in the west village. The restaurant was cozy, has an atmosphere, and a relaxed feel where people don't talk over the next table. We started with the foccacia and olive oil. 2 large pieces, crusty outside, warm fluffy inside. We inhaled this. I had a Ginger island non-alcoholic drink. Very nice. Pineapple and Ginger beer mix well. For dinner, normally I go for steak, I heard about their chicken. Highly, highly recommend this dish. The manager later told me this dish is what they're known for over 18 years, and it's the one item that never changes on the menu. They did a boneless half chicken that was roasted and finished on a hot pan. Result was juicy with a crisp skin, light seasoned with just enough salt and pepper. The veg was roasted baby bok choy and sweet potatoes with black garlic. My date had halibut. Nothing left on either plate when we finished. Excellent discovery and highly enjoyed.

I had such a great experience at Market Table! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was as beautiful as it was delicious. I started with a cocktail called Call Me By Your Name, made with Neversink gin, Lillet Blanc, peach, lemon, and jasmine florets. It was light, floral, and perfectly balanced — a refreshing drink that set the tone for the meal. For food, the Gulf Shrimp Tacos were a standout — juicy shrimp with creamy coleslaw, avocado crema, and just the right kick from the Holland chili. The Buttermilk Pancakes with cheesecake filling and blueberry compote were pure comfort — rich, fluffy, and indulgent in the best way. I also tried the Market Breakfast, which came with two eggs, sausage links, home fries, a little salad, and a flaky buttermilk biscuit. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked just right. Overall, Market Table nails both flavor and presentation. It’s the kind of place that works for brunch with friends or a relaxed solo meal. I’ll definitely be back!

Put simply: wow! We had an amazing dinner at Market Table. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, from the Brooklyn burrata and the cucumber gazpacho to the seared cauliflower and halibut. Fresh, well executed dishes in a stylish West Village setting We stumbled upon Market Table for dinner, drawn in by its modern, minimalistic decor. The ambiance is inviting and understated, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food was fresh and beautifully presented, with solid flavors, though nothing particularly unique or standout overall. The beet tart like starter was the highlight of the meal and is definitely worth trying if you’re a fan of beets. Service was quick and efficient, and while prices are on the higher side, it’s to be expected in the West Village. A good spot for a clean, seasonal meal in a stylish setting.

Market Table was delicious! We enjoyed the beet tartare, cucumber gazpacho, and focaccia to start. For mains we ordered the chicken and the Atlantic cod, both were wonderful! We had dinner to celebrate 2025 Mother’s Day . Great food, warm atmosphere and attentive staff. We had 4 small vegetable dishes as starters ( forgot to take photos ). This is truly one of the most charming, feel-good restaurants in the village. The beet salad was fantastic, and our entrées—half roasted chicken and pork tenderloin—were flavorful, with the chicken especially moist and delicious. While the orange chiffon cake wasn’t quite what we expected and was a bit on the dry side, a scoop of ice cream helped balance it out. Overall, a lovely experience with great food and ambiance!

A very special restaurant in the West Village with extremely delicious food. I've eaten many branzinos but this has to be one of the best I've ever eaten. Asparagus soup was perfect. Salmon was delicious. Coffee was good too. I would have preferred a larger selection of tea. Great experience in a great location. They have outdoor seating; we chose to sit inside. Bathrooms were clean and on the main floor. Service was good too. Water was the right temperature. I recommend.

Delicious food and a fun environment - came here with a large group during restaurant week and was not dissatisfied. The main entree with lamb stood out the most to me since it’s truly unique. The brunch was pretty good but up to my expectations which was high from the beautiful dish photos on Googlemaps. The crab Benedict was fine but not very crab forward. The potatoes and fries were good. The cocktails was too. The service felt rushed at first (the kind where they try to take your plates from you when you barely have finished) but then was better. The restaurant and ambiance are nice.

Had lunch here with a friend working in the area, it's a decent enough option for a healthy-ish meal with a lot of fresh fish options on the menu. I ordered the cod sandwich with fries. I liked the cod which was fresh and crunchy, and the slaw on top was well done. Unfortunately the brioche bun was dry and flaky instead of soft and fluffy, so I ended up not eating most of it. The french fries were excellent, and my friend and I ended up finishing it.

I contacted Market Table ahead of time about my dietary restrictions and received a kind phone call assuring me it wouldn’t be a problem. While they were able to make some accommodations, my brunch options were very limited (only the market breakfast fit my needs as gluten and dairy free). The rest of my party loved their dishes, especially the buttermilk pancakes and griddled banana bread. I imagine dinner might offer more flexibility, but for brunch the options were narrow.

l
lesmallcheese

The shrimp tacos were lovely! The hazelnut butter chicken was really, really well cooked. Delightful. A nice side match was the cauliflower with yogurt. And the pumpkin bread pudding was a little denser than I like it, but delicious flavors. I had been many years ago, but now with this 2nd visit - you're still a good dinner option, Market Table! Service was also great outside, nice & friendly - & all good food recommendations.

Delicious drinks. Great brunch options and friendly service. Buratta appetizer was great. I prefer my buratta room temp but could overlook that because when paired with the grapes and toasted nuts it was amazing. Biscuits were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Bacon crisped to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. Second visit did not disappoint. Drinks, food and service were great. The breakfast taco was a great option. Corn tortilla tasted homemade and was really flavorful. .

Outstanding food, very well done menu with simple and delicious options. the produce looks and tastes like someone just picked up from the garden and the prices are perfectly fit for the product offered. the service was fast, attentive and lovely. perfect spot for a summer brunch located in a lovely neighborhood. noise level was a little above average.

Great farm-to-table restaurant. Everything I ordered was delicious, including the s'mores dessert. Some plates seemed to lean more on creative and less on taste, such as the tomato dish which wasn't a hit with my friend. Staff were very accommodating as we originally had an outdoor table but because of the weather they made space for us inside.

First time at Market Table and I enjoyed the food. I ordered my burger medium and the flavor was their. The bun could have been toasted more, so not to be soggy as you continue to eat it. Fries were very good. My girl only enjoyed the biscuit and the salad from her breakfast. I tasted the biscuit and it was good and I'm not a biscuit eater really. She also felt a lack attentiveness to our table, however it seemed to be not to just us from her observation. They were busy on a early Sunday mid-day. She also felt we shouldn't have to ask for condiments. However our server was pleasant and the atmosphere was cool.

This was our second visit to this restaurant, returning after a year with high expectations. We had been told that the menu had undergone changes, but in reality, it remained virtually identical to our previous visit. Not necessarily a bad thing—unless you were hoping for something new. We started with the Brooklyn Burrata and the carpaccio. Both appetizers were outstanding: incredibly fresh, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was spot-on, and the accompanying sauces added a creative and well-executed twist. It was a strong start that set the bar high. For our main courses, we ordered the crispy chicken and the roasted halibut. The chicken dish was overall a hit—crispy skin, tender and juicy meat—but it fell short on seasoning. A touch more salt would have elevated it from good to exceptional. The halibut came with an artful presentation, nestled among vibrant peas, but unfortunately, the flavor didn’t match the visuals. It was a bit bland and underwhelming despite its polished appearance. We also ordered a bottle of Ca’ Furlan Prosecco, which was fine—light and refreshing—but after a quick lookup, we discovered it retails for about $10. Being charged $56 for it left a bit of a sour taste. A 2–3x markup is standard in restaurants, but a 5x increase feels excessive and borderline exploitative. Service, on the other hand, was excellent. Attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the night. All in all, a mixed experience: high marks for presentation and appetizers, but the mains and drink pricing could use some fine-tuning. Would we return? Possibly—but we’d go in with managed expectations and maybe skip the wine list.

Reserved a table here for Saturday brunch. Patio outside was full and no one sitting inside at noon. The natural lighting is great here. Menu is interesting and prices are reasonable. (great value for money) Service is delightful.

I really liked this spot a lot for brunch. The food looked beautiful and was tasty. They take reservations and have both indoor and outdoor seating. We had the market plate, the Turkish eggs, and the banana bread to share.

I went to this restaurant for some lunch and a couple of cocktails. When I arrived, I had to circle the block a few times to find parking. I found parking about 10 minutes away. I walked into a cute restaurant. I was sat by the manager and Luis was my server, and he was good. I ordered from the lunch menu, the pumpkin gnocchi, and the Nashville chicken sandwich. For my cocktails, I got the espresso martini, which was really good, and the lemon drop martini, which was ok. The food came out, and I enjoyed the gnocchi. It was different as far as flavor but good. The Nashville chicken sandwich was good, just a little sticky. I definitely had a good experience!

Service, stablishment and atmosphere are GREAT!, food it's ok, I had the burger and there was nothing special about it. Very good prices. Will definitely come back for another dish.

great staff. but subpar fries. The drinks are nice, and the best thing to try is their steak skewers, but sliders are just meh.

Over priced for batch cocktails instead of made to order and service was slow. Food is decent but nothing memorable.

We got a table outside which wasn’t very neatly set up. The service was quite slow, probably because we were outside. The steak plate was good. The vegetarian main dish was tiny, not worth it. Overall had an ok-ish experience. Won’t come back. Maybe it would have been way different if we were seated inside, but well.

Went on Valentine’s Day . Made reservation and was seated 45 minutes late . Dinner felt rushed by the wait staff. Food was good except for the surf and turf . Lobster was overdone and a very small portion . Wanted to love it there but no reason to go back - lots of great options in the neighborhood .

I am really sorry to give this place three stars but I might even give 1 if it's not for the service and atmosphere. It's an elegant place with attentive employees but the food! I really didn't like a thing I ate. Maybe a little Spinach Polenta. I like that they don't have a large menu so it's easy to choose but everything we ordered was too salty. We ordered Crispy spinach polenta, and foccacia ( what kind of foccacia is that? That very thick bread with some seasoning on top!), and also ordered herb and garlic grill chicken cutlet which was again so salty. It come with to sides crispy mushroom and quinoa salad. Which I didn't like too. Again I am very very sorry to make this review but I was so disappointed. Other than that its a nice place to hang out and have a drink.

Perhaps the “new American” and “farm-to-table” concepts are tired. Perhaps the chef and owners have become complacent. Perhaps the “B” team was working the brunch shift (likely). Whatever the case, Market Table is not what it once was. And our brunch was sorely disappointing. There was a time when MT offered fresh, inventive, quality food that was simple but sophisticated, and delightfully delicious. No longer. In our brunch today, the biscuit was tough (clearly the dough was over-worked). The quiche had too much crust for the amount of egg. Most surprising: despite the fact that my dining companion asked for hard-poached for the Turkish eggs, the eggs were delivered practically raw and tasteless, accompanied by a chokingly-dry slice of toasted focaccia. Wait staff didn’t check in after our food was delivered. When we caught the attention of a server to inform them about the eggs, there was no apology, no rapid-fire service recovery. The dish was whisked away and our plates and silverware were all removed before I even had a chance to tell the busser that we were still awaiting the corrected dish! When the waiter finally did stop by—after our friends had finished their meal and the table was cleared, he acknowledged that he never told the kitchen to hard-poach the eggs. Still, no apology, no service recovery. In the hospitality business, that’s a no-no. I can’t tell if Market Table is worse that what it used to be, or if other restaurants have simply surpassed them. Either way, there are better choices nearby.

Wine is good but the portion sizes are comically small especially for the price. The portion sizes are like tapas style. I got the salmon tartare which was really flavorful but it was so small. Also got the market breakfast and it wasn’t as flavorful. The biscuits were pretty sad - no flavor, hard/stale, and flat. Other than the wine, I don’t think the place is worth the price

I came here for more than 20 times since 2022 but was disappointed with the Valentine’s Day dining experiences. The restaurant was overbooked for valentine’s—although we RSVPed for 8:30pm, we waited until 9:10 to be properly seated. More people were waiting before and after us(two 7:45 couples got in at 8:45/9ish). Two waitresses continuously asked whether we were ready to order drinks and we had to tell them repeatedly that we needed more time. The “4 course pre fix” menu was more of a scam: the first course Bignè di Patate was just one small piece and was unflavored. Second course we got burrata and hiramasa which in dinner menu was $50 in total, they were good. Third we got surf n turf for 2—lobster was overcooked and string beans in steak were undercooked. Then we got lemon tart and lava cake for desserts, which in dinner menu was $30 in total. So now we have $80 in total, which means the rest: small unflavored Bignè di Patate, steak, and lobster cost $170 in total—I’m guessing $20 for the two beignets and $150 for the surf n turf—which is crazy. Anyway, not a good experience and huge disappointment. Mike you can do better than this.
