Gracie Mews, you had me at warm rolls. I had walked by this diner dozens of time, always in a hurry, and never gone in. What a mistake. Error remedied today and I was delighted. It is sparkling clean, the service friendly and outstanding, and the food very good. Their menu is extensive and you can have either an entree, like the abundant beef stew by husband had, to a classic BLT, which I had. And the aforementioned warm rolls had nuts and raisins, delicious.

The chilaquiles tastes as amazing as it looks, worth it, worth it, worth it, mouthwatering, and I like that it’s not too salty, dishes SHOULD NOT have that much sodium 🧂 in it coz salsa verde is already salty, so I appreciate the salt reduction and the cook should be mindful of that. Come here & have a wonderful tasty brunch with beautiful presented meals 🌺🩷 I’ll come here again, it’s a place that becomes your regular spot, it has the fancy vibe but still kinda affordable, that’s why you’d keep coming back here!! They got fresh orange 🍊 juice so def recommend that too (like fresh fresh). Order the chilaquiles y’all won’t regret it, I promise ;) you won’t have enough space in your tummy for dessert if ya do tho :p

I come here all the time for all kinds of typical diner fare and great salads for many years. But tonight I decided to try the seafood kebab full dinner ( not something I’d think of a diner for, but their salmon and shrimp on salads is always noteworthily fresh and delicious.so figured I’d try .) It was huge portion and truly better than any seafood restaurant in terms of flavor , freshness and presentation . $30 and came with or salad , veggies and rice ( shrimp , scallops and salmon ). It could have fed 2 people ! Can’t wait to try more dinner entrees here . Service also friendly and efficient always ! Coffee always delicious too . A+ place - so much more than a diner. Outdoor pleasant seating or newly renovated warm feeling inside feeling .

This place is the absolute best! The food is always delicious no matter what you order, it’s clean, service is impeccable and even better the staff is super friendly. Ivan the manager and the rest of the crew are truly wonderful. We wish we lived closer because this place has a huge menu with anything you could possibly crave. Gracie Mews Diner won’t disappoint!

This is by far one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. This diner is well run with amazing food. The only thing that surpasses the quality of the food is the service. I received better service at this diner than I have at some 5 star restaurants this last year. I encourage everyone to have brunch here

Gracie Mews is back at its original location after extensive remodeling and renovations at 1550 1st Avenue New York City ( on the corner of 1st Ave. and. 81st St). They have great food and a nicely stocked bar, the prices are fair for NYC. Our waiter was nice and helpful. The place is spotless and they have a friendly staff. I usually order one of their excellent cheeseburgers but its was early so I had eggs, hash browns and corned beef hash. It was so good! My sister had chilaquiles that she said was quite good and my brother in law tore into his cheeseburger and chips without a morsel left on this plate! So please come try out our beloved neighborhood cafe Gracie Mews!

Gracie Mews Diner is popular among the locals, particularly for weekend brunch. While they do comfort food really well, and the portions are huge, the prices are a bit steep (with a 3.5% service charge). The cranberry chicken club sandwich was $28.66, after the service charge and tax.

Gracie Mews is extremely busy but the service is great. The food is okay. Nothing special. Egg Benedict is passable, pancakes are okay, Cuban is good. You have a pleasent brunch but nothing memorable. The cakes are great. The seven layer and the black forest were good. The suggested $10-20 price range is for meal only. If you add drinks and desert, it adds upto $30-40

More like Gracie meh! They have a huge never ending menu but 4 out of the 5 dishes we ordered were average. We tried the Veggie garden burger, Parmesan truffle fries, Mexican omelet, chicken sandwich. The prices are high for the level of food that they offer. Not impressed, would not go back.

Came here recommended by a friend living in the block. I tried their 9oz burger today. I ordered the “Mr. French” cooked median with fries. The burger was decent. The flavor was very simple with caramelized onions and cheese. If you asked me, the onions weren’t cooked long enough. I’d preferred it to be softer and can barely see the shape of sliced onions. It came with coleslaw and half of a small pickle. They were ordinary, nothing worth mentioning. The slice tomato, lettuce and sliced onions were very fresh. The fries were good as expected. Overall, it was an average diner that someone living in the neighborhood would go to. They do have a nice environment. Everything was clean and the whole space was well lit. The servers were nice. That’s pretty much it.

Local diner with comfort food. Portions are big, though not the most affordable. Food is okay. It has 3.5% service charge and additional 3.5% for credit card payment.

DISMAL service. Waited in line for my table and they consistently seated other people before me. When I politely spike with the hostess she refused to seat me. In the past the waiters take a long time to come to the table. Very rude and the food is just so-so..Super basic food quality and generally rude staff. Not worth it. Go to a better place.

Unsanitary and unsafe! -They poured a melted plastic lid into our coffee mug. -The mug itself had a lipstick mark on it, neither of us were wearing lipstick. My water cup had stains. It looked like our cups were taken from the dirty bin. -My partner ordered the Huevos Rancheros Wrap which is marked with a V on the menu for being vegetarian. Nowhere does it list meat on it. Her wrap arrived with sausage chunks cooked in. -We watched them reset tables without cleaning anything. -Poor response from management after serving us melted plastic coffee. After we noticed the plastic lid in the coffee, we notified the server, who brought the manager over to us. I am absolutely baffled that we received any response other than an apology. He asked us what happened and then immediately cut us off before we could speak, and went on a speech about how long he has worked in the industry, almost implying he didn’t believe us. We do not walk around carrying plastic lids, it’s unbelievable to even imply we would intentionally drink melted plastic coffee. All that was offered to us was “free dessert” and to “wrap our meals to go.” We lost our appetite and do not want to consume anything else from here, including finishing our meals. He then offers us to comp the coffees.. To mess up that badly and then proceed to not apologize, and only offer to comp the coffee, is absolutely nuts.
