Best bagels I’ve had in Manhattan. The everything bagel, even by itself, is the best. Love the rush of a typical nyc bagel spot, and this place doesn’t disappoint. Quickly place your order, grab it and pay when it’s done, and be on your way.
Reasonably priced. Great customer service. Always busy so food moves Have it your way. Large selection breakfast, lunch sandwiches, wraps, and assorted bagels and croissants. Treat yourself to sliced lox and cream cheese. Just as good as Russ and Daughters. Only two tables outside. Closes around 4pm.
I love this place, the coffee the bagels are always fresh, The owner who takes the orders always makes my bagels perfect. The ladies are awesome always have a great smile pleasant & my coffee just right. This little hidden paradise is great for us locals & the area.
Amazing describes the bagels available at this spot. I have them almost everyday for breakfast. Not only will the bagels fill you up (they’re big), there is also a variety of flavors to chose from. I eat one for breakfast and I’m ready for the rest of the day! I can’t resist taking some home. A great environment with great service and friendly workers. It’s my favorite bagel spot!
They are amazing! Ive been coming here. daily for almost 10 years now. Their food is great with lots to choose from pancakes to breakfast sandwiches, burgers, even salads. The atmosphere has always been amazing 10/10 love them!! -little friend
This place is DELICIOUS I was looking for a bagel and didn’t want to wait around for Russ and daughters and I’m SO glad I didn’t! I had an Asiago with tofu scallion CC (I’m lactose intolerant) and the freshest softest lox ever. Such a great find! I’d share a pic of it but I ate it pretty fast 😅
Inexpensive and delicious. There is not a better quick eats spot in NYC. The people who work there are some of the nicest around and are always in a great mood. On top of that, the food is always excellent. If my friends are in town, we go to Heavens! The Turkey Club and custom bagel are my personal favorite. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Good bagels and good service. Limited seating. Good option if you are hungry and need a quick bite. Or if the famous Clinton Bakery can't seat you. Lol
This is my favorite place, please don't put it on Tiktok
We had delicious pastrami bagels here. It's definitely a less atmospheric place than the famous Katz's up the road but the prices are much more reasonable. The servers were really friendly and helpful. They have a large selection of food (breakfast as well as lunch options) and a great range of bagels too (which you can request instead of the bread choices listed for the sandwiches). I can't say this bothered me but the place could use a clean, so don't go there expecting heavenly opulence (except in the bagels, of course!)
This is my go to for a quick, good bagel sandwich for $10 or less. The staff is very nice and I love the whole wheat everything bagel
Heavens is truly a gem! Their lox and onion platter is my personal favorite and an absolute must-try. What stands out even more than their delicious food is their impeccable staff who always make you feel recognized and valued. As I'm relocating for work, I'll genuinely miss their warm hospitality. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out!
Cute neighborhood bagel spot. I got a breakfast bagel sandwich and it was perfection. I will happily go back here again. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.
Surprisingly good coffee. You can see from the mix of patrons that it caters to a pretty diverse crowd. Affordable and good food. Bagels are great. Service is kind and fast.
Updated: 8/8/22 Price increase on their platters. Always speedy service even on busy weekend morning hours. Front counter staff are friendly and efficient. Sandwiches, bagels and platters are my go to orders. Glad that their prices are still reasonable despite price hikes everywhere. Definitely do not be intimidated by their lines. It moves fast.
Wonderful little neighborhood place with great bagel sandwiches and more. Very affordable prices for NYC. If I lived in this neighborhood, I would come here at least once a week. If you are visiting NYC and find yourself in the neighborhood, you absolutely must stop in this cute little gem!
I love this place. My daughter and I go every morning before I take her to school to get our breakfast. The bagels are always fresh and the coffee is very good. Even at its busiest the service here is very fast and accurate. The staff is very friendly. Great prices for great food. The atmosphere is very chill and there are seats available.
The bagels are amazing and the prices are really acceptable as for Manhattan. There is no much space inside but there are plenty of places around where you can sit and enjoy your bagel. Expect long queue but it passes very quickly.
Stumbled across this place roaming LES for breakfast and so glad I did - came back 3 days in a row! The bagels are great, staff super friendly and the price ain't bad either. I wish I lived in NYC as I'd definitely be a local.
I love this breakfast spot. They are always fresh and can accommodate any request you have without the attitude. They love doing what they do and are happy to fulfill your desires. I love it. There are some breakfast spots that get upset when u order different things or the way that you order through the phone, but they always come through and make it happen the right way. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and happy everytime I place an order. You guys rock...
COME HERE INSTEAD OF KATZ'S! Like I said, if you're in the area and want some bagels or breakfast food, 100% come here. Lots of people visiting and even some other locals I know will choose Katz's for bagels in the area or even as a specific place to go to, and if you want specifically to go to Katz's, that's up to you. But I would choose this place 100 times over. At Katz's you'll find block-long lines around the clock, super crowded interiors, and high prices. I would instead recommend going to this classic NYC bagel spot, like one you might see in some romcom. Looking past the basicness, it is actually a hidden gem. Although it has limited seating, it isn't often extremely crowed, so it can be a nice sit-down spot for a bit. The food is incredible, with warm, crispy, fresh out of the oven bagels with flavorful and textureful lox, not to mention the ASTONISHINGLY affordable prices for Manhattan. I would personally getting a everything (or any flavor of your choice) toasted with classic cream cheese and lox. I loved the sit down experience in the window seats, but you can take it to a park or other outdoor spot to eat and it's guaranteed to warm you up on a chilly winter day or fill you up and make you happy on a peppy summer day. This spot should absolutely be on your NYC bucket list, especially if you're staying in or on an outing in the area.
Overall: AMAZING BAGEL SPOT. Variety: large variety of bagels, spreads, protein options, breakfast platters, and coffee/tea. Cannot recommend this place enough. Please come for your breakfast bagel fix!! Price: $, BEST price in the lower east side Service: staff are all friendly and will even get to know your faces and names !!
there was a moment in The Wire when Marlo Stansfield says: “price of the brick going up” and similarly every calorie of gluttony sadly has gone up in NYC since 2019. thankfully, Heaven’s Hot Bagel’s quality hasn’t suffered and the price increases have been moderate. the unpretentious breakfast and lunch spot serves up comforting eats from morning to afternoon for those with cash or card. Heaven’s Hot Bagel is just one of those gems in NYC that is good vibes and good food. stopped by and grabbed a bacon, egg, & cheese and it was what every breakfast sandwich should be filled with—crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled, and melty cheese in a warm soft roll. the service is friendly—tip them, accordingly. you’re welcome
I know it sounds cheesy, but the people that run this business are truly genuine people and their food and products are made with love. Whatever they do, please support this business because they are part of the last few genuine store owners in the lower east side also shout out to the barista,I’m really bad with names, but she is so pleasant, sweet and filled with joy and happiness
Great quality, wonderful service, best value bagels in the area by far 🫶
My favorite bagels in New York City. Staff is so kind
Great spot for a quick and delicious breakfast on the go! This place makes you feel like it's been slinging bagels for 100 years, though they set up shop in 2010. I had the Nova Lox on a cheddar bagel and a large hot latte. The cashier, barista, and cooks were all super sweet and attentive. My bagel was warm, soft inside, crunchy on the outside. And it was STACKED. Wrapped and cut in half, so it's still easy to hold and eat. Relatively affordable, $18. Had planned to go to Clinton's, but the wait was too long. I'm happy to have wandered in here instead!!!!
Best breakfast place we had during our stay in NY. And with very affordable prices.
Delicious! Breakfast wrap and Turkey, Bacon Club. Ms. Monica is friendly and kind. Remembered my name on consecutive visits.
So me being the picky eater that I am I’ve come to the conclusion that whenever I drive by a store that has double parked sanitation, FDNY,school safety, EMS & highway patrol consistently parked outside that’s where the locals eat and that’s definitely a place to try out. And Heaven’s bagels won’t disappoint, with a small army of people working behind the counter, some to take orders others to prepare your food, and just shy of you walking out the door you will pay a different person altogether . A+ no possible cross contamination (food & money). Super friendly staff, clean environment tasty food, large selection. Despite the long lines you should be out the door food in hand in under five minutes.
Best bagel shop on the Lower East Side! The team truly puts so much care into their work and it shows.
We stop in whenever we're in NYC. Fabulous, fresh food, and the best staff! Make sure to check it out; you won't regret it
The service is Amazing !! The food and drinks are Everything. The past 2 years I’ve been going there and now I’m a regular to where it’s a daily stop. Such Great customer service from everyone they’re always smiling the barista’s learn your drinks and names upon arrival and the food is healthy fresh and delicious. Very rare combination. Mari, Nicole and the chef I think he’s from Chile’ I don’t remember everyone’s names I’m always greeted with a smile and I highly recommend this place. Not to mention the music they play while waiting is feel good vibes. Stop by and you’ll become a regular there too
Really good bagel spot. They have all types of breakfast from bagels to pancakes to burritos. The fresh squeezed orange juice was good but get there early because they run out quick. The line moved pretty fast. They get really busy in short spells but worth the wait. There are two/three indoor tables with chairs to sit at.
Great bagel and sandwich place on E. Houston. Friendly, quick service, and delicious bagels.
I love this place. Their food is delicious. The staff that work here are always making sure your taken care of .
You wouldn’t think this place has delicious food (beyond your typical bagel spot) but it does. Stopped in here when I couldn’t get a table at Clinton Street Baking Company and man was I blown away. Idk what’s better, the food or the prices! I got two big delicious buttermilk pancakes, homefries, and scrambled eggs for just under $10. All fresh! The workers were also very nice and efficient. Not much seating but my friend and I were blessed to snag a little table. 10/10 would recommend.
This is our neighborhood spot so we come about every weekend. I think Heavens is way better than Russ & Daughters and all the other high volume spots. Heavens is well priced with generous portion sizes. Lots of menu options beyond bagels. They're super quick as well so if you ever see a line just know that it moves fast! All the employees are nice as well.
If you’re reading this- either the line at Clinton St Bakery was long or you just randomly walked by. Either way: this is way better than Clinton Street Bakery 10000 times and the prices are definitely much more affordable! (Over 50 percent less for better food !!!!) so no, you didn’t make a mistake. This is fate. This is destiny. This is where you need to be. Thank me later. :)
Best bagel place in the Lower East Side, no question!! Not only are the bagels the perfect ratio of chewy + crunchy, the cream cheese is delish and there’s a great selection overall. This place is typically packed on the weekends but maybe takes 5-10 mins! Love all the workers here, highly recommend!
What a a delicious classic LES gem! The staff are friendly, the prices are appropriate, and the food is… incredible! Make sure to go!!
In the mornings, I visit this place at least three times a week! It offers a wide array of delectable and affordably priced breakfast and lunch options. The entire staff consistently demonstrates patient hospitality and graciousness.
So happy to have found this gem. We grabbed breakfast here everyday on our long weekend trip to NYC. Prices are unbelievably reasonable. Food is delicious and prepared with care. If you are in SOHO/LES please check it out. No frills but all quality and the service is pleasant and impeccable. We hope to return.
This is an incredible breakfast/bagel spot. My husband and I were on vacation in NYC and we hit up Heaven's Hot Bagels almost every single day. The prices are very affordable, and the food is so good. We got different types of bagels every day, and each one was delicious. They also have fresh orange juice that was to die for. I absolutely recommend coming here for breakfast or lunch, they have other types of sandwiches that aren't just bagels too. The employees are super friendly and quick with your orders. You will not be disappointed if you stop by here.
Got their signature nova lox on a sesame bagel ($12.95) and it was fantastic ! And the lady up front was amazing! It was my first time ordering from here and she was so friendly ☺️ When you come in, go to the far counter to order your food and then you pay once the front lady calls your order! They’re all really efficient and I will definitely be coming back <3
This place truly is heaven. I am resisting the irresponsible urge to pay for a flight and hotel in NYC just to go here for breakfast. My egg sandwich on a bagel was phenomenal, the iced coffee was perfect, the service quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Many regulars seem to come in, which created a nice atmosphere and camaraderie between waitstaff and customers. I enjoyed being called "my friend" when my order was taken. That was nice.
Good heavens this place is one of my favorites. The fresh squeezed OJ is a must try. I went with my favorite, the bacon egg and cheese with ketchup on an everything bagel. I need to come back and try some of the sandwiches. I have a friend who raves about the breakfast burrito. The entire menu looks great and they have plenty of options. They also have a huge selection of to go cereal if you’re feeling young and spontaneous.
This is the first bagel place I’ve tried in NYC, and I’d absolutely visit again. I got the nova lox on a jalapeno cheddar bagel, and it was delicious! Crisp crust, chewy center, plus a generous schmear of cream cheese. Enough to split into two meals, but I couldn’t resist eating it all in one sitting 🤤. The breakfast burrito was also a great deal for the price. I went around noon and their bagel options were surprisingly limited, so I’d try to stop by earlier next time. Also, note that it’s cash only for orders under $10!
Awesome bagel shop with lots of additional options. Egg platters, fries, coffee, the works! The staff is always friendly and efficient, and plenty of seating if your quick bite becomes a longer one. Ambiance is pretty much that of a budget bagel place, but it gets the job done. Awesome hash browns, too. Sometimes it gets a little bit crowded and service will slow a bit, but never awful. Highly recommend the greek omelet platter!!
Simple and straightforward location… amazing bagels… a gem
There have about four tables inside so you can sit down to eat. We recommend the burrito!
I was given a recommendation by a local to come here for their bagel sandwich. While the sandwich was pretty good I wouldn’t say it’s the best bagel ever… The bagel was more like a light crispy roll. The texture was good but not a bagel. Tell a New Yorker it’s a bagel and they will definitely say otherwise. We ordered the veggie bagel sandwich which came loaded with fresh avocado and micro greens. The cafe itself was cute and newer.
Food is decent but ordering truly is an ordeal. From the moment you step in there is a sense of chaos and you’ll have to try to discern where the line even starts and where people are just waiting for their orders. After you order you’re not given a number or any way to associate yourself with your order, and you’ll simply have to listen to the (frankly, very rude) cashier who shouts out individual orders. You can imagine how many bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches are ordered during peak hour in a place like this. The bagel itself is good. Nothing spectacular and certainly not sufficiently exceptional to make one willing to subject oneself to the hassle of ordering from such a poorly run place.
Read great reviews so had to give it a try. Was so unimpressed with the food. Everything was below avg. I think all of the 5-star reviews are because of the cheap pricing. Bagels did not taste fresh. If you want good pricing, come here.
Really wanted to try this place so walked 30 minutes to get here in the pouring rain around noon, just to find it closed despite Google Maps saying it should be open until 2PM. There was no notice or hours posted to explain why it was closed, and several other people showed up disappointed while I tried to find somewhere else to eat. I encourage the owners to either update their hours or post a notice explaining why they’re unexpectedly closed in the future.
I’ve been going to them since they open . I used to be a regular but sometimes I don’t have the time to make a pit spot for there good coffee. Today I went after 3 months since I had some time . And I was appalled about the services I got. I understand it was busy but the fact the lady who was serving coffee let two ladies skip me seem to be like she knew them as a friend. Even the guy who’s seem to be the owner looked at her I hope he caught what she did. I will never go to heavens bagel again.
After buying $25 of food to eat in, I asked for a bathroom. SORRY! NO BATHROOM. Nor could they tell me where to find one. What kind of restaurant does not offer a bathroom to paying customers. I told them they should put a sign outside earning people. Absolutely horrible experience.
The bagel was hardly toasted and the cream cheese wasn’t smeared on. Went on a Monday morning, so they weren’t busy. Go to Russ and Daughters a few blocks down.
I’m not sure if it’s the time I went but I ordered a bacon egg and cheese and it was horrible. The eggs was cold and the meat was extremely hard I didn’t enjoy it at all it seemed so rush I wish I had a better experience. Highly disappointed!!!!!!!😔
I am baffled how this place has such good reviews. Went in for a bagel with cream cheese and the bagel tasted dry and old. The coffee was awful. I ordered an ice latte and it basically looked like lightly colored milk. They don’t ground the coffee for espresso but use prepackaged coffee bags which wasn’t good at all.
