Came here because I knew this was the restaurant that belonged to Lady Gaga’s parents. It’s a small and cute place with fun decor and super super friendly staff the food was great as well and the banana bread pudding dessert was to die for. Absolutely recommend.

Great spaghetti w vodka sauce and shrimp! Paired with an edge of glory (great song btw) cocktail, it made for a great meal. I liked the gaga memorabilia spread out through the restaurant and her songs playing from time to time.

I came with friends on cabaret night and we had a great time. Good food, VERY generous portions, strong drinks, and Lady Gaga's music--what more could you want?

I had dinner at Joanne’s before seeing a Broadway show and it was magnificent! My server, Amir, was so friendly and provided me with their recommendations from the menu. I ordered an ‘Edge of Glory’ cocktail that was brilliant, and the gnocchi which was incredible. The atmosphere was lovely and I adored the Gaga memorabilia within the restaurant. Overall, an amazing restaurant - a must try if you’re ever in New York!

Love this place! I was in NYC for a conference and wandered in looking for Italian food. I sat at the bar and enjoyed an incredible lasagna dinner and a tasty gelato dessert. The bar tender was amazing and treated me like family. She was so great making me feel welcome and comfortable that I came back a second time with friends. This place is amazing!!! Highly recommend going on a Wednesday!!

We booked a reservation for 5:00 PM on a Friday and arrived to find plenty of open tables. That said, if you’re planning a later dinner, a reservation is definitely recommended. The service was warm and welcoming from the start. Menus are presented on a tablet, which was a nice modern touch. We ordered the meat lasagna with a creamy vodka sauce—absolutely delicious with bold, standout flavors. The Asiago Gnocchi was also very tasty, and the Artichoke Lemon Chicken was well-prepared and flavorful. The dessert options all looked tempting, but we went with the cheesecake. It was creamy and rich, and the raspberry sauce added the perfect finishing touch. As a fun side note, we spotted Lady Gaga’s father dining there, though he declined a photo with my friend visiting from Japan.

The place its small & used to be a bar her mother and father managed before, now this day its used as Restaurant + bar 🍸 + drag shows entertainment @ night or other shows but really enjoy the food.

The vibe is adorable. The restaurant clean and intimate. Food is outstanding. Came out hot, flavorful, and large portions. Our server was amazing and so helpful and friendly. We were a family of 5 staying at the Sohotel and took the subway here. Super easy and only a short walk from station to restaurant. We arrived an hour early and they were able to accommodate us. We highly recommend you not pass up Joannes’s. What we ordered: Burrata Salad, Chicken Parmesan, Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi with Vodka Sauce, Pappardelle with White Truffle Alfredo Sauce (my daughters dish but my favorite), and Seafood Pappardelle in a Garlic White Wine Sauce ( they were out of the Risotto). We felt extremely safe on subway and neighborhood.

If you know me, you know I’m a Lady Gaga fan—so this spot was already getting 5 stars off the rip (just keeping it real). Came here with the fam—about 12 of us deep—and we had a great time. Shoutout to Anna, our host, who handled the whole crew like a pro. Service was smooth, food and drinks came out quick, and the vibes were on point. I played it safe with the spaghetti and meatballs—wasn’t mind-blowing, but it did the job. Next time, I’ll definitely explore the menu a bit more. Overall, solid spot with great energy. Would totally come back (and get something else). The Cosmo drink is exceptional. Get that!

I had a fantastic 4-star visit to Joanne Trattoria, where the atmosphere was the absolute highlight at 5 stars. The food and service were also very high-quality, both earning 4 stars. It is a wonderful spot where every element comes together for a great experience.

Visited the restaurant yesterday, it was the right decision!! The food was great. We were a party of 7 and they accommodated us very well by giving us private space! Our guests really enjoyed! We ordered Eggplant parm, Pasta Alka vodka, bruschetta, gnocchi with pesto, pasta Alfredo, vegetable pizza, and a side of mashed potatoes!! I loved the parm!!! I will be returning for that. My guest loved all the food! The kid’s fav was pizza and pasta alla vodka sauce!! We were too hungry to take pics!

Huge Gaga fan since the very beginning with The Fame, hence the visit to Joanne Trattoria. TLDR: If you want to experience a fun vibe with Gaga memorabilia and Gaga music, go! It’s worth the experience for a one time visit. However, particular dishes leave room to be desired. PROS: We made a reservation for 9:00 PM on a Thursday, and the place was about 1/2 full, which is to be expected for the time of dining. The server was quick, kind, and attentive and we were served quickly. Drinks: The Garden of Eden cocktail was really nice, and somewhat similar to a cosmo. Approx $24. We also had the house Chianti, which was nice. Food: The fried squash blossoms were really good, and came with a marina sauce which tasted great! I had the shrimp scampi over linguine and it tasted wonderful! The pasta was perfectly al dente and the shrimp was well cooked and seasoned. Cons: The Joanne Spaghetti with Meatballs AND sausage was a miss. The meatballs and sausage themselves were really great! However, the sauce was REALLY sweet, lacking flavor, and the noodles were pre cut up? And also very overcooked. It tasted similar to spaghetti from a can, which was so odd given the rest of the food was great. However, 2/3 people ordered this dish, which soured the overall experience. Just stay way from this dish if you dine here. If you’re hoping to see Gaga by chance, don’t even think it will happen. The waiter told us that last time she came it became kind of a mess, and it’s unlikely to happen again.

We came to Joanne Trattoria for the vibe rather than the food—and it absolutely delivered on that front. As a Mother Monster fan, this place feels like a mini shrine: walls filled with memorabilia, from personal family photos to tour posters-but the highlight for us was The Duke 🏈 :the official Super Bowl 51 from Gaga’s unforgettable halftime show. The food was decent, but it was really the ambiance, history, and connection to Gaga that made the visit special.❤️

Went here with my wife ,sister and friend. At first the place looked interesting and friendly. Once we sat down the servers were on point with taking orders and bringing out the food. The food was mediocre and not worth going there for shrimp parm. Also ordered pizza which looked amazing but tasted okay. But i think they forgot to pay there gas bill. the weather outside was 6 degrees which was warmer then the establishment. It was freezing inside and made it uncomfortable to eat and enjoy. I would not recommend this place. Maybe in the summer when its warmer but for now stay away!

Great for groups, because they don't rush you and they have huge tables. They're also very convenient to Lincoln Center, so they're good before a show. After multiple dinners, the food is mediocre at best. Avoid the pesto which is way too watery and overly acidic. The meatballs are fine (and hard to mess up). It is legit difficult to actually order though. There never seem to be enough staff. So, if you're going before a show give yourself a lot of buffer. Oh, and the iPad menus suck and are always out of battery.

Joanne's used to be my go-to spot, but things have changed drastically. They've replaced traditional menus with tablets and hiked up their prices to ridiculous levels. I remember when I could enjoy a reasonably priced pasta dish, but now a simple calamari appetizer, for example, costs a whopping $35! There was also no music playing for Valentine’s Day. It was a complete silence in the restaurant. That was very weird. On Valentine's Day, I ordered a sangria pitcher and was shocked to find it filled with just blueberries—no other fruits! When I asked about it, the waiter seemed clueless. It's not just about the money; it's about the quality and experience matching the price tag. Unfortunately, my recent bill exceeded $200, and I left feeling disappointed. Even my beloved tiramisu was a letdown this time—soggy and downright disgusting, nothing like before. Joanne's really needs to step up their game and get back to what made them great
