Opinions de Arte Cafe New York
Great place for food. We were a table of 5, we were seated right away. Their lunch prix fixe menu was great! 3 courses for $25. Their Ceasar salad and Tuna Tartare was good. Their Carbonara, Pollo Piccara, Pollo Parmigiana, and Burger with Fries were all excellent. Their Margarita Pizza was kid approved! Tiramisu and Vanilla Gelato were excellent as well. Highly recommend this place. It's not loud, you can actually have a conversation and not yell over the music which is so nice. The staff is very attentive and super nice.
We hosted our son's rehearsal dinner at Arte Cafe for 70 guests and the Welcome Party immediately after for 200 and the evening was absolute perfection! The food was incredible, the service could not have been better, and every detail that goes along with an evening like that was executed with precision! The planning process leading up to our event was so smooth, with the team helping us every step of the way and thinking of details that we had not thought of ourselves. We would highly recommend Arte Cafe if looking for a venue for any event!
We had a large group lunch (26 people) at Arte Cafe and it was fantastic. The food was very good and very reasonably priced, and the tiramisu was phenomenal! The managers were super flexible and accommodated our constantly changing number of attendees. Service was great. We especially appreciated the private room they gave us and that they let us order from the normal lunch menu. I highly recommend Arte Cafe, especially for groups.
Picked this location on a whim because it was close to the Beacon and didn’t want to move the car to go eat. Reviews were good and it looked quaint. So glad we went here! Food was amazing, atmosphere was perfect, and the service was impeccable. Drinks were so good too! Highly recommend Cafe Arte to everyone. There were some families there, but primarily couples and larger adult groups. We’ll go back with our teenagers. Thank you for a great dinner Cafe Arte!
We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Arte Cafe, and I can't say enough about how great the experience was. The staff did an incredible job, from planning to setup to service through the event. The food was fantastic, and the decor was very inviting. Our guests shared wonderful feedback. We had about 60 people, and it was incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend Arte for your next event!
My favorite Italian restaurant. All their food is great but my go-to dish is the lasagna- made with THE most delicious ragu I've ever tasted. The staff is professional and kind and they even sang to me on my birthday (which involved lava cake!) I recommend this place to everyone looking for Italian food on the UWS. They also have outdoor seating, so if you have a dog they can enjoy a bite at Arte Cafe too.
I love this place. I had my daughter's Bridal Shower here in the Skylight Room and I couldn't be more satisfied. The food was exquisite, the service was exceptional and they were very accomodating and easy to work with. Everyone said how great everything was. Thank you so much Arte Cafe for making our event special.
We had our wedding at Arte Cafe and it was absolutely perfect. We had the most wonderful picturesque old school New York Italian-American ambiance. The manager Ariel was extremely generous and accommodating. The event coordinator Alexis was attentive, thoughtful, organized and knowledgeable. The general wait staff, bar staff, and kitchen crew were incredibly professional, experienced, and gracious. They made our dreams come true!
What a great spot! Their food was really a hit! I had some Omelette. The perfection of the goat cheese spinach and eggs did a good job. I really loved the atmosphere, they have a good number of seats, a bar and the ambiance really is nice. Can’t say more and everything better in person, but the ambiance really won my heart. A great spot to hang out and enjoy the weather. Servers were really attentive and very accommodating making the visit more pleasant.
Arre is more than food, is an amazing experience. Starting with the decoration; is a beautifully delicate and cozy place to enjoy with family, the variety in the menu, coffee, and their sweets treats. The attention is amazing! Nico, The manager is always thinking about every detail, trying to give you the best service. We are new in the neighborhood and this is our place for breakfast or brunch, but I’m pretty sure that they have many options for dinner and even live music on weekends. It’s a place that you have to visit in Kendall, in my opinion, is a hidden treasure in the Neighborhood.
We were recommended this place by a local, and boy was it awesome. Upon arrival greeted and immediately seated. We got a basket of bread w olive oil and vinegar the bread was eh. However everything else we ate was amazing 🤩. We got the Squid ink pasta. It had a thin red sauce with mixed seafood. Every piece was fresh soft and perfectly cooked. The dish did have a hint of spiciness to it. We also got the Carbonara. Best carbonara I've ever had. It was salty with a thick heavy creamy sauce. It had giant chunks of pancetta? Compared to the squid ink pasta the carbonara was a much bigger portion. The salad we got was great very refreshing with very fresh greens. The salad dressing was good too. While the food was amazing the service was my least favorite part of the meal. Servers felt very rushed but did check on us frequently. Weirdly enough they wouldn't let me keep menus, they kept taking them. One thing we really didn't like was the mandatory 20% gratuity. We have no clue about the parking as we walked there as this is NYC after all. Bathrooms were clean although awkwardly located at the very end of the restaurant. But going all the way back there gave me a chance to check out the beautiful location and different dining areas including a gorgeous dining patio.
Made my wedding day beautiful 😍. Me and my husband were on a budget and this was more than perfect for it. It was warm and cozy, the food is good and perfect after a long cold stressful day. It was nice of them letting us use the speaker for me and my husband dancing to the family and friends. It's a pleasure having my wedding dinner here, thank you so much Arte Cafe💖🥰
Lovely place. Lots of regulars there and they all get along with the staff. Made the atmosphere feel cozy. The staff are also all really sweet and attentive. I had ordered the meatballs and they were excellent :) oh they also have a large clear jar by the entrance with individually packaged almond biscuits, I think they’re called Almond Cantucci, but yeah you can grab some to go. Such a nice touch.
Cute local neighborhood spot with standout service! Killer happy hour as well with a lot of options. The food was good as well (oysters were super fresh, tuna tartare was really good too and a generous portion. Pizza not to our liking but a different style)
A local, cozy Italian restaurant that’s been around for some time. It’s a hit-or-miss kind of place though. I’ve had very different experiences over the years. The last time I visited was for the lunch prix fixe and sat at the bar. The portions are good size and the food was pretty bland. The bartender was pretty friendly and laid back. Worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood.
Cute neighborhood Italian place. Unfortunately nothing was spectacular and the pizza tasted like frozen pizza. It was cute experience but probably won't be back since there's a lot more better options around the neighborhood. I believe they have reasonable prefix lunch menu for weekdays, so might not be back for a quick lunch, but I would not order pizza.
Terribly overbooked restaurant. Service was slow and inattentive. We had a couple parts of our order missed altogether ("our kitchen is running behind"). Incredibly, maybe 15 minutes after finishing our entrees, the waiter had the gall to ask us to leave as another group needed our table (about 90 minutes after being seated because, again, the service was terrible and slow). Ruined what was supposed to be a special meal with my family. I emailed management after the meal to express our concerns and, to no surprise, did not receive a response...there are plenty of good Italian restaurants in the UWS area that respect their customers and are more deserving of your business.
My partner and I booked the pre-fixe Thanksgiving dinner expecting to dine in the main restaurant, especially since he had been before and raved about the food and atmosphere. Instead, we were taken OUTSIDE IN THE WINTER to a completely different location and space that resembled an overflow bar or temporary dining room, bright overhead lighting, no ambiance, and a noticeable fresh paint smell that was hard to ignore. I'm not kidding when I say I'm from Wisconsin and I've seen nicer dive bars. We asked multiple times to be seated in the actual dining room we made the reservation for, but were told it wasn’t possible even though we SAW an open table. Unfortunately, the food in this setup tasted NOTHING like what the restaurant is known for. Everything felt lower quality, rushed, and NOT worth the price of the pre-fixe. Service was also disappointing. Our server was curt, and as we gave the bad tip (14% still), she WALKED AWAY and never said thank you, so then we asked for a pen, to which she gave it, didn't say a word, and walked away (insane). She had black long hair in a braid, didn't get her name, she said maybe 4 words the whole time. And I used to work at a 5 star restaurant, I KNOW how service is SUPPOSED to be. Overall the entire staff was unfriendly, which added to an already frustrating experience. We would have left but its was Thanksgiving and nothing in the radius had dinner spots left. Ruined our entire night. This was not the Thanksgiving dinner or environment we booked or expected, and it didn’t reflect the standard of the main restaurant at all. We will never be returning, and suggest you don't either (don't waste your money, there so way too many great restaurants in this city to waste your money here).
