Best hot chocolate I have ever had. A perfect stop in cold weather.
A cozy neighborhood spot with great coffee and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pastries are delicious and the service is always excellent. Special shoutout to Zizi, Teodora, and Holly for being so kind and friendly — they really make the place feel like home.

my friend and I stopped by this cafe on a rainy day and it was the perfect cozy spot to relax in. We got coffees and both the sfogiatelle and bombaloni with Nutella and they did not disappoint! Our server Enzo was also so friendly, helpful, quick and added to our wonderful time here :) thanks again!!
Delicious hot chocolate served here. One of the best in the city. Rosa was our waitress and the service was excellent.
I had a fantastic experience here. The hot chocolate with panna was great!! My husband ordered bombolini and caffe latte and also liked them. The place is gorgeous and we had a nice date today. People are also nice and attentive. Will definitely come back again. We went on friday at 6pm. It was crowded but we only waited 5 mins for a table, maybe because it’s winter. In summer I’ve seen this place full.
This review is about sustainability! Thank you for providing such a cozy café experience, without single use trash and plastics. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean and fish, and over 95% of the plastic that we produce does not actually get recycled, even with the best of intentions. It makes me happy to find and support local businesses that are mindful of the New York City ecosystem, and our broader global one. I also find a for-here, reusable mug mix, dining in that much more welcoming and enjoyable. So thank you again for the wonderful service, delicious biscotti and cappuccino, and the trash-free experience. You are setting a great example for neighboring cafés and restaurants to hopefully follow suit!
La Bomboniera is such a cozy café! The cappuccino was creamy, smooth, and perfectly made. A warm, inviting spot to enjoy great coffee.

One of the best hot chocolates I have ever tasted!! The place has such an incredible atmosphere, I never wanted to leave. The staff was also so sweet and accomodating when i was worried about my allergies. Me and my friends loved everything about that place, I can’t wait to go back!
Love this place and will be back very soon! One of the best pastries I’ve ever eaten (torta de la nonna), maybe the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had and a perfectly crafted cappuccino.
This place really has it all great vibe, good service, awesome coffee and desserts, plus a bar. I took the staff’s recommendation and tried the Lemon Zest cake, but next time I’m definitely ordering the chocolate cake I saw at the next table.
The bomboloni was PERFECT. Latte and tea were great. Definitely will come back to try more pastries. The atmosphere is so cool.
This is my new favorite spot on the upper east side!!! It’s such a cozy spot for a coffee, pastry and nice chat with friends. They are very busy but they always seat people very quick. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely recomment!
I love this place! Surprisingly, we got a table in no time, given how busy this place was. Both the panini & sweets are really good! The coffee is flavorful & well done as well! It’s has the European charm, a mix o Italian menu and French vibes. A bit pricey, but given the excellent service and the overall atmosphere and quality, it is definitely worth it! 💯 recommended!
Stopped here for a cappuccino to go (good!); bombolone (delicious!) and a sfogliatelle (seemed a little stale). Inside looks cute but a bit too loud; they also have seating outside
Good coffee and baked goods spot. There are a few seats outside, but most of them are inside, including table and counter seating. The panini is average, but the nutella bomboloni and caffee fredo were pretty good.
Great food and drink! The cioccolata calda con panna is wonderful, especially around the holidays. The place is cozy and cute, but can be uncomfortable when crowded. The service needs some work. We pretty much had our food and pastries thrown at us. It wasn’t even really that busy. The waitress was rude, frankly. I hate to call this out, as anyone can have a bad day, but it’s important that people leave happy with their dining experience and I wasn’t happy with the service I received. I would definitely come back, because the food is great, but I hope the service is better next time.
