Opinions de LOVE Korean BBQ New York
Love the place! We didn’t get a reservation but got seated right away with four people in our party (came Thursday night). We ordered the BBQ set for 2-3 people and it was enough for the 4 of us. Everything was tasty and the waiter even offered to grill. Large tables and plenty of space for all the mini side dishes that came with our food. Nice music and ambience.
The portions were big, very filling and worth the price. The scallion pancakes were beautifully flaky, perfectly thin, and large enough to share with friends. The bibimbaps were filling and larger than those of other Korean bbq places that I’ve been. The tables were long so I would definitely recommend this place for big groups looking for a place to eat. Would definitely be coming back!!
Their most expensive Army Stew that feeds 3-4, forgot what it's called is a banger. Been a bit since I was here but had tofu, bacon, spam, onions, beans, instant noodles and I'm sure other stuff. If you're going in with 3-4 people for this, I'd recommend ordering a side of noodles. It's also not that spicy as a person who can't tolerate spicy that well, this is an awesome share with my friends who do like spicy. If you're a spicy fanatic, I'm sure you could ask them to make it more spicy but knowing that this sits a comfortable spiciness level for me is chill -- Update as of 2/12/23: Yeah it's still great!
We visited New York the week before Christmas in 2025 and happened across this restaurant. The food was probably the best we ate during our trip to New York and the experience was top-notch.
Great food After hearing some friends talk about this place, I had to give it a try. I was with 3 other friends so I knew we could really eat. We started out with a few appetizers and I immediately knew I was in for a treat. The scallops with uni was very light and refreshing, and surprising, the yookhwe was light and refreshing as well. For the main course, we got the Love special which was had pretty much all of the different cuts of beef bbq. The quality of food was incredible and the service was just perfect. We finished with eggs drizzled with truffle oil and some stews. I wanted to try the nengmyun but just had no more room. Can't wait til the next time.
About a week ago my husband Harold and I went to K-town. We got hungry and decided to go to this restaurant. We really liked the food and the staff were exceedingly nice. My husband loves frogs and loved the frog we saw outside the store. The food was quite spicy but luckily we both like spicy food. If you don't like spicy things you shouldn't go here. The music was a bit loud but with how good the rest of the experience was Harold and I didn't mind. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes meat or spicy foods.
Out and about in NYC and we stopped here for dinner. We sat fast because we chose to sit outside instead of waiting about 20 minutes for inside. I ordered the vegetable bibimbap bowl and my hubby had beef on a hot plate. I forgot to take a pic of his food, but it was yummy. You get a lot of food, specially the bowl. Overall good, will try to come back specially to try the actual bbq that they cook tabletop for you. The ambiance was fun, great DJ playing awesome music!!
LOVE Korean BBQ sizzles with succulent beef and crispy pork dumplings. It is not surprising that they rank over 4.7 stars on most platforms. We literally ate every morsel - not a doggy bag for us. The service was wonderful and useful with menu choices. Homebrews are only $7 and blended drinks are very affordable. If you are from the county of Los Angeles and have been to KBB, you will certainly be satisfied here. Last but not least, a restaurant with an outdoor atmosphere that makes sense. After all, it was heat bulbs that kept us warm. Let's not forget that the overall presentation was excellent. I'll be back in no time.
LOVE Korean BBQ was spectacular! I dined with my 2 cousins last Sunday, in the early afternoon & we only waited 20m. The table and seating were clean (they also have an upstairs) & the food options are plentiful. The 3 of us chose the LOVE Beef Set...which came with everything: white steamed rice, cold Chinese eggplant, kimchi, salad with a ginger-soy dressing, jalapeño onions & a cold macaroni salad. We also ordered the cheese corn on the side. Veggies are grilled with the meat (mushrooms, garlic, onion, zucchini, sweet potato) & the cuts of meat were delicious! The bulgogi was sweet & had lots of onions. I would recommend coming VERY hungry, as the options often reflect party-size. While it is pricey, it is worth the cost to have premier cut meats (next time I will try the Pork set). The service was phenomenal! Staff were all very attentive & accommodating Meat quality and veggie options: 4.8/5 Sauce options: 3.5/5 Sides: 4.5/5 appetizer choices: 4.5/5 Alcoholic options: 4/5 **They also have a DJ & strobe lights in the ceiling. (Noticed the "club-like" atmosphere driving by weeks ago at night.) I will return at night to enjoy the restaurant when it's popping! Definitely my fave Korean BBQ when I want premium quality meat with fun crashing into me while I dine. Overall rating: 4.7/5 ENJOY, EVERYONE!!
I love LOVE. The FOOD, THE DRINKS, the music, and the staff are all LOVELY. The location was easy to find, and the food was worth the price. The only downside was I ordered a shrimp dish, which came salty, and I would say it was on me because I should have asked how for the description before ordering.
This place is fantastic! The food is tasty and delicious. But what made the experience amazing was the kindness and generosity of the staff: we were hungry and wanted a soup and a meal, the waiter kindly told us it would be too much food, he was right! But wait it gets better! my daughter ordered noodles but did not eat them because she ate the BBQ, a gentleman asked if we did not like it, we said we did like it, however my daughter did not eat much. He kindly took the plate and told us they would not charge. The overall experience was great, and yes we ❤ LOVE Korean BBQ.
I had dinner here with a few friends. They were from out of town and wanted Korean BBQ. I had never been to Love before so that made it perfect, new for both them and for myself too. I give the place four stars for the restaurant, food, the service and the experience. The last star I gave it because of the DJ, the music was great diverse and non-stop the whole time we were there. Now for the food, we decided on the Love platter which was enough food for our group with the help of our server Seonggoo L. Everything was really fast they gave us each individual serving dishes with different sauces. They turn on the burners in the middle of the table and immediately started cooking our food. It was delicious, different meats pair with different soups 🍲 and vegetables. We also ordered an appetizer but it was not necessary. I will provide pictures of their current menu for your convenience and to plan ahead. In my opinion, for new guests coming here to Love Korean BBQ it could be overwhelming not knowing what to choose from the menu. If you choose to visit Love Korean BBQ after reading my review, I thank you and I hope you have fun and enjoy it.
This is probably my second time coming to LOVE, and wow this tops even the first time (which was amazing). I was talking to my friend before we ordered and the wait staff overheard us talking about my birthday, and started the meal with 2 shots of premium umami soju! They were all so amazing as we ate and continued to drink through the meal. They allowed us to share the cake we brought in and it was overall very nice.
What a great experience we had. The food was fantastic! Everything was full of flavor, we loved every fish ordered . It was 9 of us and the bill was very affordable. Definitely recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back again.
My first Korean cuisine experience and I was so glad it was here. I love Korean dramas, so was really surreal tasting all the food I had gotten familiar with, especially kimchi! It's not a Korean drama if the mum hasn't prepared and stocked her child's fridge with kimchi. I and my friends were not brave enough to prepare the food ourselves so we had a waiter help us out and he was great and grilling to our specifications. There were so many sides as typical and it was fun trying them all out. Love the ambience of the place, had the ground floor and basement floor, didn't feel choked at all, and the dj was really good! Definitely a great way to spend Friday night in NY.
Was in the city and wanted to try this place. The atmosphere was cool, the staff welcomed us nicely. We sat down within 10 minutes, and I'm glad we did because the line got much longer just after we arrived. We were served and the food was great!🥢🍜....really liked the way they cook food right at the table!
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Love Korean BBQ in Korea Town, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. Located just a 10-minute walk from MSG, it was a convenient location for me. I decided to try the Beef Set A, which offered a great variety of steaks and ribs. The quality of the meat was outstanding, and it was cooked to perfection right at our table. Each bite was flavorful and tender, leaving me wanting more. Aside from the delicious barbecue, we also ordered the pork dumplings, and they were absolutely superb. The dumplings were filled with flavorful and juicy pork, and they had the perfect balance of flavors. It was definitely a highlight of the meal. The restaurant itself had a small and quaint atmosphere, but it added to the overall charm. The vibe was great, and the music played in the background created a lively and enjoyable ambiance. Overall, Love Korean BBQ in Korea Town is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. The variety of meats, the superb pork dumplings, and the great vibe make it a standout restaurant in the area. I highly recommend giving it a try.
We visited this place after touring the Empire State Building. The atmosphere was welcoming. The staffs were so helpful with this particular staff helping with names and recommendations of food. The staff did save us from ordering way too much than we will able to consume 😀 The food were all delicious and we had to bring two full servings home as we couldn’t even touch them before we were both full. I recommend this place and food is very affordable
I went to Love Korean BBQ today. The waiter was extremely friendly and very helpful. He explained everything very clearly and helped us to get what we want. I haven't asked his name but we highly appreciate your service. For the food, the beef galbi was awesome. Beef was juicy and delicious. We really enjoyed the side dishes too. The truffle steam egg was very soft and tasty. We definitely go there again soon.
This was our first time eating Korean barbecue. We did the 2 PM to 5 PM menu arriving around 4 o’clock. By 430 the place was packed. They have a special menu between two and five. They make you feel very welcome and educate you in the process. They do all the cooking for you, but you get to pick your meats. All the food was fantastic. You can season to taste. The lady that prepared our food at the table was wonderful. From start to finish it was a great experience.
Was looking for a cool spot to grab a bite within walking distance to the NY Penn station. We decided that Korean BBQ would be a good choice. So glad that we picked LOVE Korean BBQ. It was delicious & such a cool table side experience. The Bulgogi was perfectly seasoned. My friend ordered the prime rib bbq, which was prepared table side and served perfectly medium well accompanied by various side dishes including salad, broccoli, potato salad, fish cakes and tofu. Each dish had so much flavor. We also had to order Korean fried chicken wings. They were crispy, hot and incredibly tasty. We loved LOVE Korean BBQ!
Great kbbq experience here! The meat was super fresh and came beautifully presented. I really liked their potato salad side dish. We got their love special set for two people and split it between three people, and it was a good amount of food. Service was excellent. We had to stand in line for twenty minutes or so.
We had friends from out of town and they found this Gem. Unique environment and is quite family friendly. We had a party of 10. Staff was young but very experienced and ready and willing to be of service. Reservations for large groups are recommended for your group. Food was fresh and delicious, the chefs are on point for your preferred doness. Just Go and Enjoy.
Love BBQ is one of best Korean BBQ experience we ever had in Manhattan. We went on a Thursday evening and they had a live DJ!! Apparently they have a DJ from Thursday to Sunday. It is the perfect spot to enjoy some delicious Korean BBQ and drinks. After 6PM there is a lot of parking on the streets as well. Aside from the great music and easy parking, the food was phenomenal. We got the Special Love Set, which is perfect for a group of 4-5 people, as it offers three types of stew, a variety of prime beef cuts, steamed egg, steamed little neck clams, and an assortment of sides. When we first got seated and ordered our food, we got a variety of banchan. You can tell if your Korean BBQ is going to be great when the banchan quality is incredible. Our drinks came next. We got some Soju, honestly my favorite drink. It’s so sweet like candy. We also tried some rice wine beer by Màkku, it looked so milky we were not expecting that. The drink was fizzy with rice wine flavors. We also got their Love Potion slushie! It’s a combo of margarita, frose, and a pina colada. This drink was sooo strong. If you wanna pre game or get lit, we recommend it. The Special Love Set’s variety of prime meat was such a great value considering the portion size and quality. We got to try the prime ribeye, prime brisket, bulgogi, hanger steak, top blade steak, and LA galbi. The meat was so flavorful, tender, and juicy. Our cuts were not too fat and not too lean, each bite was perfect. If you do not know how to cook your own meats, this is perfect. The staff help you prepare everything, just tell them how you like the meat cooked. In between the meats, we had some steamed little neck clams, we were so happy with how fresh the clams were, usually we don’t get seafood at a spot that specializes in meat, but the clams were super fresh. The steamed egg was extremely puffy. I mean we never seen it puff out so much. They used a lot of egg for their steamed egg. The three stews that came with the Special love set. Kimchi stew, seafood tofu stew, and soy bean stew were all spicy and homey. We ate it with our rice, it felt so warm to drink some hot soup while having our Korean BBQ. We love how these stews have great health benefits too. Overall we loved the special love set and think it’s an amazing deal to share between 4-5 people. The music was poppin and the food was incredible.
I came on a Tuesday with my daughter and her boyfriend. Hostess was friendly, service was attentive and the food was so good. We had a great time. The music was diverse and just made the experience that much better. Some may complain it's pricey but for the amount of food you get,, it's well worth it. I definitely recommend and will go back.
First time eating at a Korean BBQ. This restaurant was my best choice. I consider it a staple in Korea Town. It has the best vibe. The food was amazing. The texture, the flavors. The location is great, right on Fifth Ave. With an awesome view of the Empire State buiding. Their dumplings are the best I ever had! The skewards, very tender, spicy and seasoned. The pork belly!!! They have awesome sauces to accompany their delicious plates. Staff was very friendly and professional. I will definitely return to taste the rest of their menu 😋
Wow !!! What a place. I went there for my birthday, it was my first time at a Korean restaurant and what a great experience it was! We have ordered beef BBQ for 2 it cost 99$ + spicy Ramen and French fries( +30$ in total). We received many side dishes and 3 different types of beef, it was all cooked in front of us, the way we asked for(medium well). It was so delicious, everything was fresh and tasty. The meat, the side dishes and the reman. High quality meat 10/10. I really enjoyed and will definitely go back. The only thing that I didn't like was the server's attitude. She was very unpleasant even though we where kind and polite. She didn't explain us anything and over all she was rude and even ignored us once. It seemed like she didn't want to be there and it could have been a perfect experience if she wouldn't be so impatience and unkind. Other workers were extremely nice and respectful.
Me and my girlfriend ordered the love chef’s combo and we enjoyed everything. The meat was presented so nicely and there was a DJ playing nice music. Our experience got even better when our server Jason grilled the meat for us. It was even more impressive when i found out he was grilling meat for multiple tables at once! If you are in the area and are craving kbbq please come give this place a try.
Korean BBQ is always a fun date night choice — experiential dining while trying new and delicious meat cooked right in front of you. Amazing service and great combo options. 3 nights a week they have a DJ to set the mood right, really feels like a BBQ lounge! Highly recommend going with the LOVE CHEF’s combo, so you get a chance to sample a little bit of everything, several meats including prime ribeye and brisket along with a side as well (get the cheese steamed egg)
This was a bucket list experience that was filled to the max. It is impossible to eat the amount of food they serve you, but it tastes so good. Our chef/waitress/hostess was the real star. She was an expert with the BBQ while pacing the meal and keeping our party entertained. The support staff was very attentive. It was expensive. It was an experience. It was totally worth it. Vegetarians need not apply.
Authentic Korean BBQ, Pity that due to the Covid we missed some of the pleasure of the Korean tradition with self roasting the meats. Even so, the meats were excellent, the dishes are served generously and delicious. the service is very professional and you can trust them with dishes recommendations. We will definitely come again. We came again and it was good as in the first time.
I had a good time with my Friends. Drinks and DJ were good, food was good too. We got Beef combo and pork shoulder and few more dishes. Waiter was very courteous and very attentive. Good place for a group of friends to hangout and have food. One of my friend order something in Veg and she was happy with it too.
We decided to come here for my dad’s birthday after hearing many good things, and I can say that LOVE BBQ lived up to our expectations. This was one of the best dining experiences for Kbbq that we had in the city. The servers were extremely nice and attentive, they also cooked the meat to perfection. We ordered the wagyu sampler and the marinated combo as well as kimchi pancake, chicken bibimbap, and seafood ddukbokki. The combos come with a side and we chose the cheese steamed egg and kimchi pork stew. We absolutely loved everything! The ddukbokki was cooked to perfection, with a perfect texture. The steamed egg with cheese was an amazing mixture and the truffle oil didn’t come off as too strong, complementing the egg very nicely. The egg was also just extremely soft and bouncy, probably the best steamed egg I’ve had! The combos were amazing as well, but I would recommend not ordering the wagyu sampler. The boneless rib and boneless short rib were phenomenal and out of this world, but in comparison the Denver steak and NY strip fell short of expectations. I feel like you would get more value out of ordering another combo or just ordering the amazing cuts a la carte. Not to say that the NY strip and Denver steak were bad, everything else was just THAT GOOD! The marinated combo was extremely amazing and definitely worth trying. I highly recommend checking out LOVE BBQ, it stands out even among the amazing Kbbq spots in Ktown.
I loved it here!!! Currently, outdoor dining is what we’re dealing with and they’re really on top of things. We were a group of 7 and we were accommodated really well. The food was great and the servers were friendly and efficient. Went on a Saturday around 4pm and though it was busy, you were served quickly. My favorite of everything was honestly the live DJ, I’d return just for the vibe and ambience :)
My fav restaurant in New York!! The beef tartare is amazing all things combined super good! I even go to this restaurant for the beef tartare twice one week! All dishes are not bad Also the starter! So nice. Their staff service Also really good. Energetic and asked ur opinion about their service Or the food! Anyway i super recommend this restaurant!!!!
Came to Love in K Town and immediately knew it was going to be a good night ✨ The inside has that classic neon K Town glow. Dim lighting, bright signs, packed tables, grills sizzling everywhere. It was lively, loud in the best way, and felt super inviting. The kind of place where you sit down and accidentally stay for hours. Before the grill even got going, we ordered some apps. The corn cheese was hands down my favorite. Sweet, bubbly, cheesy, slightly crispy on top. I genuinely could have eaten the whole thing by myself and been happy 🧀 The bulgogi kimchi fries had great flavor and texture, I just wish they gave a little more meat on top. Still a fun shareable plate. The steamed egg was fluffy and comforting and the japchae added that perfect sweet and savory balance. But the real reason you are here is the Chef’s Combo 🥩 Ribeye, brisket, pork belly, marinated short rib. Once that hit the table, we locked in. You can taste the quality immediately. Everything was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I also love that they help cook it for you so you can just relax and enjoy the experience. The marinated short rib was easily the best cut. And my friend’s reaction said everything. Drinks were strong and so good 🍸 The lychee martini and espresso martini were great, but the matcha cocktail with Malibu was my favorite. It brought me straight back to my fun college days in the best way. Overall, this is such a fun group spot in K Town. Come hungry, bring your friends, and plan to stay a while!!
I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant and taking part in the Korean BBQ experience and I was left speechless! Our server, Kevin, was phenomenal! He was very attentive and made sure all of our meats were cooked to perfection. We watched him handle numerous tables with ease! He is clearly a master at his craft and we can not wait to return. 10/10!
I had a great dining experience! I ordered the beef and pork belly, along with kimchi pancakes and kimchi soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, and the texture of each dish was spot on. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the kimchi dishes had the perfect balance of spice and tang. Great service too – the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the Pork Large Set for 3 people at Love Korean BBQ, and it was absolutely amazing! Every bite was full of flavor, and the quality of the meat was top-notch. We especially loved the japchae (glass noodles) — perfectly seasoned and full of texture. The steamed cheese egg was another standout — soft, fluffy, and deliciously cheesy. It made the whole experience even more comforting. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Came here celebrating Mother’s Day and the food and service here were pretty great! I enjoyed the look and theme restaurant, very cool and everything was cooked in front of us on a grill at our table! The staff were all very friendly too. Plus my mother got a free glass of wine! The menu is a bit expensive however so expect a pretty big bill if you plan on bringing a couple of friends or family members. The portions of food vs price were a little disappointing too honestly. Wished they gave us move for the price we spent on a single meat course… ($200-$300 if I remember correctly.) Also, it can get pretty crowded with high volumes of people so it’s really noisy and hard to get the waiters attention sometimes. Other than that, LOVE Korean BBQ is a unique experience for NYC meat lovers to try out if you have the cash lol. I definitely recommend it!
Went to Love Korean BBQ for a Saturday lunch date with my sister. The food and service was impeccable. We had the bulgogi kimchi fries, brisket, pork belly, and pork jowl and of course washed it down with Soju and Kloud. We were served a nice assortment of Banchan. We enjoyed our meal and were not rushed out. We really enjoyed the ambiance and music. Will definitely be back. Update: Returned for a second time to have lunch with my daughter and was very impressed with the lunch and happy hour menu. We opted for the Chef’s Combo, steamed egg, dumplings, and cold refreshing noodles. Everything was amazing! The meat just melts in your mouth. The Marinated Galbi and Ribeye were out favorites. The Banchan was very tasty as well including macaroni salad, green lettuce with sesame ginger dressing, sesame broccoli and carrots, dumplings, fish cakes, and of course, kimchi. We finished all of our banchan and had seconds. Love BBQ is definitely one of my new favorites in KTown!
@nylovebbq is a great place to hangout and catchup with friends! They are open until late everyday and there's even a dj sometimes! ft: -prime beef set B - tenderloin, top blade, skirt steak, marinated short rib (galbi): wow, all the cuts of beef were insanely tender and super flavorful. we especially enjoyed the galbi. this combo was the perfect amount for 2 people. -kimchi stew side -cheese steamed egg: I LOVED THIS. wow!!! the egg is so insanely fluffy and literally melts in your mouth. Perfectly salted and great as an appetizer. -seafood pancake: crispy, delicious, amazing. one of my favorite foods growing up. i could eat so many of these -lychee martini -just peachy
I stumbled upon LOVE Korean BBQ by chance and decided to try it because I was really hungry and saw their all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue sign. The service was excellent—I waited only about 5-10 minutes for a table, and the staff was very attentive, especially the server who helped explain the menu. The premium-quality meat and variety of side dishes were impressive, and the restaurant was clean without the heavy smoke smell found in many other BBQ places. If I visit New York City again, I will definitely come back!
Let’s get romantic on a Valentine’s evening with LOVE Korean Barbeque. If you’re bringing someone on a date, this is the perfect spot with lots of hearts and love decorations. Three days out of the week, you can also enjoy live DJ music. We ordered Love Shots and special Valentine’s cocktails for that extra romance. Enjoy some fresh wagyu and prime cuts of meat grilling in front of your eyes. Have some appetizers while you wait for the meats to cook. Everything tastes perfect along with special Korean side dishes which we refilled a few times. Their friendly staffs keeps the side dishes topped up while grilling our food. If you can’t decide on the menu, there an all you can eat option too. Get romantic with class without breaking the bank. Make a reservation as this place gets packed very quickly even though they open late.
The marinated galbi is AMAZING, and they have the best corn cheese I’ve ever tasted!! Came for a late lunch on a weekday and we were seated right away, service was fast and wonderful, and they had really cheap frozen margaritas! (It was VERY strong) The galbi is so yummy it’s unmatched. On weekends this place gets very crowded, so you know it must be good!!
Exquisite. There are very few places that hit on all cylinders for me - LOVE doesn't hit them... it CRUSHES them!!! Overall ambiance is cool, relaxed and refreshing - great for a meal out with the family, business meeting; or romantic night out. The staff and service are impeccable. If you've got the bonus of having Alex work with you... you are WINNING!!! The meats used are not cheap - you can see and taste the difference... perfect marbled cuts of wagyu that literally melt in your mouth. The Chicken Wings are a HUGE WIN - Crispy and full of flavor. They somehow made Shrimp... taste like Lobster - I was in awe!!! Every bite of every dish was consistent and flavorful - YOU MUST try the Pork Chop (you can ONLY get this flavor here), Strip Steak, Rib... Kim Chi Rice... just order it all - Seriously. Everything was just perfect. Very Highly Recommended. Don't walk there... RUN. #WINNING
We planned to go to a smaller all you can eat bbq spot in Koreatown but we heard the music and liked the decor so we decided to try Love. Unlike other spots there wasn't a wait. We were greeted and asked for vaccine cards/IDs which we provided & waited to be seated. The hostess told us to stand to the side or outside if we needed time to get our vaccine cards which was weird because we literally just showed the other greeter. There was some confusion so we walked out & came back less than 10 mins later because we wanted to make sure this place should get our money with all the other options nearby. We returned simply because we were hungry and there was no wait. The greeter & hostess asked for our cards again & this time with a little attitude which we didn't like. Other than the two women at the door service was great. The food came out quickly, the staff were attentive & cleaned up our space as we ate. They also cooked our beef which was disappointing, I thought we would be able to do so. The space is cute, vibe is energetic with a live DJ playing top 40s, hip hop & reggae. What we ordered: Bulgogi Kimchi Fries- 5/5 - Very flavorful & so good! A decent amount of beef, I would return just for fries lol Scallion Pancake 2/5 - It was very oily & soft. I could not taste the scallions. I prefer them to be crispy. Marinated chicken 4/5 - unfortunately you can’t cook it table side. The restaurant prepares their chicken outside on a grill and serve. It was pretty tasty & it was a decent portion. Prime Short Rib Marinated Galbi - 4/5 flavorful and tender. It was a little chewy but good. Noodz Forever - 5/5 So good! Glass noodles with beef.l & veggies. A nice portion & great amount of beef. Overall, a little more expensive then other spots in Ktown but I had a good time. Cool vibe, great music & I left stuffffed. =)
If you eat a Lot, this is your place! We ordered a meal for 1-2 ppl. And as you can see between salad, sides and meat that's a lot of food and everything taste really good! Great music and good staff. A good variety of meat. They have a lot of meals for 2-4 ppl. CHECK your receipt before you pay because they charge Gratuity 18%, so be aware about this. Also if you're going with friends and you already have a reservation, all the party have to arrive at the same time so they can give you the table.
They were able to get our group of 8 seated quickly. The bulgogi over rice I ordered came out hot but tasted more sugary than anything. Overall would recommend for large groups looking for a place that accommodates
We didn’t order the bbq, but regular dishes. One of them kimchi soup, which was delicious. Also fried dumplings, which were ok. As well as spicy pork and octopus with noodles, which was questionable. I didn’t see much pork, but mostly octopus which was simply chewy. Do not understand why with small plates we receive macaroni with corn and mayo, it’s not really Korean. Didn’t see some of the must have Korean dishes that usually are offered at Korean bbq. Prices were really high, overpriced. I’m the background there’s a dj playing Latino music. I quite liked the atmosphere. Didn’t see any Koreans there though, which indicates it’s kind of a tourist trap :)
Good Korean BBQ spot, but a bit overpriced. Came here late Sunday for dinner—no wait for a table for 2 and we got seated downstairs. They are good with checking your vax card with proper ID! We got the Combo Beef Set B for $99 (serves 2)— Prime Boneless Rib, Top Blade and Prime Short Rib. We also ordered the Beef Brisket ($40) in addition. Rice is included in the combo and there are complimentary banchan (sides) that were good. The meats were okay—all meat dishes were plenty enough for 2 people. The Prime Short Rib was the favorite, well flavored while the others were not seasoned. Service was okay—the staff cooked our food for us. Loud music is played in the restaurant (I believe there was a live DJ) so it’s a bit hard to hear one another.
To be honest the food here was actually quite good, as well as the drinks. The service was great, people were courteous and kind. To be honest I truly have no complaints except for how expensive the menu is. The food is exceptional, but to be honest Food Gallery just across the street has awesome choices for less (you can't get KBBQ like this at Food Gallery though!). That said, if you are going out for a special occasion, date (maybe not first date cause music is loud), girls night out, etc. this spot is absolutely worth the spoiling. Food is truly great, staff is kind, and the music is an absolute vibe and a half. It's a great way to start your night out vibes. Personally I had the Japchae and I was in heavennnnn.
Delicious. Great staff! Overall, a wonderful experience! I sat at the bar and was served by the fantastic and very professional Sébastien and Joyce. Their recommendations were spot on and they truly made me feel welcome. I couldn't ask for better ambassadors for this establishment. They were awesome! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! I can't wait to return!
The food was better then I have had at other similar type restaurants. The service was also very good. However, while I understand that NY has hgheer prices, the all you can eat with a small group of people was ~$130 with tax and automatic gratuity, which is just crazy.
Good Korean BBQ spot. The meat were good quality, the lemonade was amazing which makes me think the cocktails will probably be too. We order the $99 for two and sides and meal were good not sure I will say they are worth the price. The only part of the experience I did not enjoy is that the staff cooked the meat for us. That defeats the purpose of the bbq. Having someone standing over you an entire meal isn’t great. I asked if we could cook it and we’re told no. The other staff said we can but it is hard. I wish we were asked if we wanted to it ourselves. The atmosphere is great! There is a RU present and it isn’t so loud. The staff are also kind but since it wasn’t a busy there was a surplus of them and we interacted with a few that helped at different times.
Due to covid-19 we had to sit outside but they have made great preparations for outdoor dining. It was comfortable and clean. They even have music playing in the background as you enjoy the outdoor ambiance. I would rate this place a five star but I found the food to be a bit expensive and overpriced for the quality and quantity. The hanger steak was the best option.
Me, any of my colleagues love Korean BBQ in general. This restaurant was not on my radar. We found this restaurant on our way and wanted to try and make some comparisons. We, 3 of us, all agree that we liked the food but still prefer the other one. Yoon Harewoondae Galbi when it comes to the lunch special. I felt all of food, main BBQ, and Bandhan, the side dishes very salty.
I've been curious about the restaurant for a while and I'm happy I got to experience it with my friend. The Djs play great music, the waiters & waitresses are super nice and attentive. They have multiple levels where you can be seated. I was placed in the bottom floor and sat at a two person booth. Most of the food was very good. I'd come again and bring more of my friends.
Good meat quality, skimpy side dishes, unable to connect with server (will explain more). Below average dinning experience. Left unsatisfied for the price paid. Made reservation for party of 4 on a Friday night for our team dinner after convention. Easy to find street level restaurant in K-town. Young male server who smiled and nodded when we asked for side dish refill (only once) and extra order of pork jowl, after we had finished the initial combo order and wanted more. Nothing came and he kind of avoided our table (?). We had to ask another server to get our add-ons. Then they gave only kimchi and 3 broccoli instead of refill of the sides. Unfortunately can’t recommend given there are plenty of other options nearby. (We ate in K-town 3 out of the 4 nights during our stay)
I was expecting a lot from this place, let say about the good part, a lot of sit no need to wait too long to be sit it, very cool place with Good DJ and disco light, temperature is cool and you won’t feel smoke and hot. Food is good And I like the size dishes but could be better. It is a nice place to hang out with friends. The bad part, the sit was kind of sticky that I was wearing short dresses, it was not that comfortable, we were two people, so we just order the Beef set B which is $99, came with side dishes and 1 seafood hot pot soup. When the beef set came, the waiter was putting everything in for BBQ, I was telling the waiter, please don’t put everything in all at once, the food will get cold after you cooked but unfortunately the waiter didn’t listen, this is the way they do it, then he didnt come back to service us, I was waiting to see what to do, ending up the beef over cooked and he turned off the fire that we didn’t know, the vegetables on the side still very dry and not cook, we ate half of it that felt like why tasting like that, something not right, so other waiter came over I started questioning isn’t it the way new to eat those vegetables uncooked, of coz he started telling me this and that, then I said to him, look at the table next to us, the waiter cooked differently and u can see it that it was cooked on their table but not my table, he apologized and he said he will give me better service next time when if I return. And he gave us two free lemonades. Overall I will say that is more Korean BBQ just next to it or a block a way that price might be the same. I hope this restaurant can keep it up.
A unique kbbq spot with a dj blasting music downstairs. The decor is nice and has a good ambiance but the music is very loud so not really great for conversations. The food is presented very nicely but sadly, taste is lacking. The side dishes might have been better than the meat. The meat was okay but definitely not on par with quality kbbq you can find in ktown. The army stew had a lot of ingredients but not the best tasting one either. The staff is very nice.
Dined here last June 19th afternoon post a lot of shopping. It was a really hot day too so was looking for a good place to eat, enjoy and cool off. We've mostly been going to Yoon Haeundae but this was closer so thought we'd try it. The hostess wasn't friendly and that's a fact. In fact she was just rude. We asked to be seated inside but she kept saying it will take forever to wait so either we dine outside or not. We thought okay, better than nothing I guess. So we agreed to be seated to the first outdoor table beside the restaurant. A friendly waitress gave us cold water and upon ordering, we found out that the actual barbecue packages we wanted can only be served inside and that she would check if we can move instead and she was able to find us a spot. When the hostess somehow found out we're actually coming inside, she asked us to immediately give up the table and stay in the heat outside for 15-20 mins just because. Despite more than 50% available tables outside. You can really tell how nice she is by now. :) Once we survived the hellish attitude and heat outside, everything was just peachy inside. Our servers were nice and friendly and attentive. Food was also really good, we enjoyed the Love Beef set and while they almost forgot and handed it in the end, the soup was pretty good. They also had this frozen Pina Colada which was the perfect relief on a hot day. Hopefully if we do ever come back, we encounter hostesses who actually like people and their jobs to bother and greet at least a hi or hello before trying to drive away customers (and revenue).
I know NYC is usually known for high prices but this was a little too high for me. I’ve tried lots of KBBQ places and I thought for what I got and ate vs what I paid was a little too much. In the photo is everything I got and the bill was close to $400 USD between 3 people and it was also not AYCE. Did not think the flavouring was out of the ordinary and was extremely high quality either.
We came as a party of seven and did the buffet at a little over $100 per person. I’m a NYC local who’s done plenty of $50–$100 AYCE spots, so I brought my visiting family here after seeing the great reviews and expected a solid experience. Unfortunately, it fell short and I felt embarrassed because no one in my group really enjoyed it. Service was the first letdown. We asked one server for a salad and, after almost 15 minutes with nothing, had to ask another. The salad finally arrived when most of the food on the table was already gone, which killed the mood. Overall pacing was slow. Food quality missed the mark too. The pork belly was overwhelmingly fatty and greasy. The grill burned quickly, so the meat picked up a bitter, burnt taste after just a short time. In the end we stuck to the shrimp, which was the only thing that tasted consistently good. For the triple-digit price point, it didn’t feel worth it. I hope they improve the service timing, maintain the grills better, and balance the pork cuts. The one highlight was the shrimp, which was fresh and enjoyable. (For context, I’ve never given any restaurant a 1-star on Google before, but this time I genuinely felt I had to.)
meat was good, but nothing too memorable. presentation of food was nice. cheese steamed egg was okay, but not a big fan. staff wasn't too attentive, had to ask staff for more sauce. hostesses were nice, they offered to keep our luggage at the front. overall a decent place, but pricey for what it is
I came here alone for Korean BBQ, not realizing the portion sizes were so big. The waitress who took my order saw that I was eating alone but still didn’t warn me, and insisted I order way too much food. Later, another server kindly asked if I really meant to order two portions, but the third waitress quickly spoke to him in Korean to insist it was correct — even though it clearly wasn’t. It felt like she just wanted to push the order instead of helping the customer by Korean instead of English .Another server then came over to ask if I was waiting for someone else, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and seem to be unwelcome for solo dinner. Very disappointing service and lack of ethics —the onions are also not fresh and I ended up feeling extremely bloated and uncomfortable after forcing myself to eat what I could. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience in New York at first view — poor service and no care for the customer at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone eating alone.
I had an awful experience at this restaurant. The prices are outrageously high for the tiny portions they serve. What really made it worse was when we asked to take home our leftover sides. Instead of offering fresh sides, the server insisted that we pack the used ones ourselves. This level of service was so disappointing that we didn’t even bother eating in the restaurant. I strongly advise avoiding this place—it’s not worth your time or money.
Right from the beginning the server gave me anxiety. $100 per person all you can eat; server explained we couldn’t take our leftovers and NOT to waste the food; any left overs will be thrown away. It made no sense to me. This place is a complete scam. Customers should be able to take their “paid” leftovers home. I’d never return. Don’t waste your time.
Meat quality was excellent. Service was awful. I have never been insulted by a waiter before for an allergy. And then brought an allergen and being told it is normal to do so in korea. Being told to give a tip when they don't even fill the water and we have to ask multiple times to even get water or service is not up to par. Avoid.
