Very good to Friedtofu pho and excellent service
Amazing Vietnamese food place. The food was terrific and very authentic. I will definitely come back again.
Great PHO, Great food in general. Prices are now a little bit higher than those showed in the photos.
Sometimes it’s worth visiting a restaurant without reading the comments before - and Mama Pho is totally worth it. Fantastic food moderate waiting times - try it!
Very good soup and spring rolls. Decent quality with friendly price. Definitely coming often
This place is a true gem. Super tasty. Unassuming decor and ambiance, but you’re going to go there for delicious banh mi and really flavorful pho.. the soup is ultra flavorful, love it.
I need to satisfy a Pho craving which visiting Mew York. Mama happened to be the closest. It was proof that appearances can be deceptive. It’s a five with incredible food. The chicken pho was very flavorful with both white and dark meat chicken. The service was prompt and friendly.
Amazing Food. Best costumer service Food food in this Neighborhood
Tenje is the best! Great service and delicious food
A friend and I are staying in the area and decided that pho sounded great, so we popped over for a bite. Honestly, the pho was delicious and the staff were friendly. I felt the portion I received was huge and left feeling full and happy. If I'm ever back in the city I definitely will be returning.
Very good service and delicious soup. Recommend
This place has very good pho. The one star reviews are simply nonsense. If you order tofu bánh mì, don’t go to a Vietnamese restaurant.
Had the chicken pho it was excellent!
Very decent place to get Pho! Great customer service!
Cozy, delicious food and great staff ✨ Had their dumpling soup during a rainy day and it hit the spot !
First time trying PHO ! Mama pho did not disappoint I love it here the staff are very friendly and accommodating! I’ll deff be back again
They do a great Job!
Very kind servers and delicious food!
Great food, big and generous portion sizes Really nice costumer service
One of the best food I have had ever.
First time trying Pho & it was wonderful, food & drinks were amazing. I definitely can’t wait to come back to Mama Pho!!
I ordered the "vegetarian pho" via Postmates after passing this place thousands of times and it was SO GOOD. The beef broth is insane - so flavorful and well seasoned - and the ingredients were all perfect from the fresh bean sprouts to the mint & cilantro. My one piece of criticism would be that the fried tofu tasted a bit fishy, and the vegetable spring rolls were a bit overdone, but the pho was so good that I don't care.
Yummy always a regular here ordering and coming over all the time!
Thai iced tea is incredible. My roomates come here every day to get it because it's that good
This is the best place to have soup with the best service . I really like this place definitely will come back .
Nice place and the chicken pho soup is delicious in winter.
Not alot of seating but seriously the soup is so flavorful
Mamapho was really delicious! The staff were super friendly and the taro mango bubble tea was so good easily my favorite. Will definitely be back.
This place is a hidden gem. The food is absolutely incredible every time and the staff are great. 10/10
I love this place! I dine in and do take out regularly and it never disappoints! Love the dumpling pho!
It's a little hole in the wall on 2nd avenue but the food is amazing. We tried their vegetarian summer rolls, vegetarian banh mi, and the noodle salad. All were flavorful and delicious. Although it was too hot for Pho, the tofu banh mi came with a bowl of vegetarian broth and I can't now wait for a cold day to have the pho.
Excellent and very reasonably priced pho and banh mi. Highly recc this place.
Cool music. Get the Pho with dumplings.😋 I also like their Thai tea.🧋
Amazing food and great service! Definitely coming back.
This place was awesome! Big fan of this pho place!! Loved it!!!
Very yummy food and nice male server.
Incredible. We got most of the things on their menu and everything was 10/10. Bahn mi was the best I’ve ever had. Super fast and efficient service too
I love going to this place when I get hungryl. The food was tasty, the customer service was great, and the environment was very peaceful. I would recommend it to everyone…
Tried the Vietnamese pho and loved it. Broth was flavorful, noodles were perfect. Perfect for the cold weather.
Wow workers in mamapho is great specially the guy named as deepak karki. He is amazing. Thank you
The food was amazing! The service top-tier. Get the pork dumplings!!! Our only regret was not getting more pork dumplings.
I like the food and very impressive service , staff are very good and responsive , definitely will come back .
I didnt expect the chicken pho to be so good the chicken is so flavorful I think its my new fave
I tried the chicken sandwich and the vegetable pho while visiting New York to see my friends, and both were really good. The chicken sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and filling, and the vegetable pho was comforting with a rich broth and well-cooked veggies. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Great spot to grab a satisfying meal. definitely worth stopping by when you’re in the area. Thanks !!!
I do not understand why the reviews are less than 4!!!!! Wow! Was at the embassy and you know how that is. Finally done and was starving. We walked past this spot and it caught the attention of my sisters. They love pho. I never had it. But wow it was delicious and so was their banh mi tofu. Crunchy. Tasty. The bread was perfect. The shrimp pho was huge and filled your soul. Everything was fresh and delicious 🤤 Would definitely return!
Delicious food, large portions. Very nice Service. I’ve been coming here every time. I’m in the area for about six months. Love the place.
We loved the Pho Brisket and the Banh Mi with Beef was on a whole different level we enjoyed it so much. The service was great and the food came really fast as well. The toilet was clean and the overall experience was just very pleasant.
Only came cause I was too hungover to go farther from my house but holy shit it’s so good. How are the reviews so low???? Some of the best authentic pho in nyc. Huge portions lots of soup and meat. Soup is very flavorful and rich. I think their branding conflicts what they actually serve, live nearby and haven’t come because I assumed it would be the panda expesss of pho but it’s actually amazing
Love the staff! Love the location! Love the food. They’re great. My goto whenever I feel sick, their pho cures my sickness away!
Amazing food and experience. The soup was the most flavorful I’ve ever had—best Vietnamese restaurant. Kalpana was very nice, kind, and helpful, with excellent customer service. Definitely coming back!
Small and cute nook of a restaurant with great food and service. Dishes were brought out quickly and the waitress was patient with us taking a long time to figure out our order. Only note is seating pretty limited if you come during peak hour.
I really like this place. The sandwiches are awesome! Tasty and the price is right. On a cold day the soups will warm your soul. It can get busy and not the best for very large groups.
Great new addition to the neighborhood! Solid choice for the pho (beef) and the summer rolls. Vermicelli bowls are good, but not amazing. It seems like they don’t have direct online ordering besides a third party and the phone listed on Google is not connected. We’re doing walk-ins for pickup.
A tiny little place with a big heart. Delicious Shrimp Summer Rolls and Beef Phō. 8 small two person tables (can be pushed together) and a four person table. Mostly carry out. Dined in.
Delish broth for the pho, amazing flavours. I had the brisket pho, although the meat was a little chewy for brisket I think. Great service!
I didn’t know what to expect with the mixed reviews before coming here.. The decor was well done for the space they have and the design felt well thought out. I ordered the mama pho which came in a big bowl. The flavor was there for everything and the broth was complex and interesting in a great way. The reason it’s not a full 5 stars is I felt for the size of the bowl, the noodle amount was lacking some. For the amount I paid, in midtown, and for what I got, I would consider coming back.
I had the mama pho, 4/5. It seemed a little too salty! Ingredients were decent. My biggest issue is that it's $30. I don't think it worth the price. I would only go if it was convenient. Otherwise the nearest pho place I'd go if I was in midtown East is Nom Nam on 34rd.
It's actually better than the average of reviews might suggest. The pho is pretty decent and tasty with some characteristics I had never found before: the bean sprouts were already cooked (which I enjoyed much more) and the meat is generous (I had pieces of meat until the end of my pho). What I didn't enjoy was the ambience: looks like a fast food place with poor decor and no originality. I don't agree with the notion of having pho as a fast food. Also, their boba tea is mediocre at best.
The pho broth is really satisfying. I was really impressed by the noodle type they used - very traditional Vietnamese rice noodles that’s not soggy or soak up all the broth. Just a simple, clean, hearty bowl of pho. Rare rib eye was also very tender. Vietnamese ice coffee was just ok but will definitely keep coming back 😊
Came on a Friday afternoon, no wait. Cute spot, not too far from Grand Central. Really small, nice staff, food was great. I got the flank pho and spring rolls. I wanted veggie, but they only had pork, which was fine. Came out pretty quickly. I think next time I go I'm going to ensure to just order the spring rolls by itself. And then the pho, because these came out at the same time, I like to have it separately because I love my food piping hot. But it was good.
The service was great and waitress was so sweet. HOWEVER- food was very mediocre. If you like fresh, authentic Vietnamese food, not the place. Also music put us into a strange, cloudy trance😂
I arrived at 8:45 on Sunday and was told that I could only order takeout even the the hours posted said they were open until 930. have eaten here many times in the past and have loved the food and service. This time I was very disappointed. As the only person in my party I was intending on eating a meal and being gone before the restaurant was closed. The staff was not accommodating. I might not eat here again.
We stopped in because it was close and we were hungry, not typical for us to go without reading reviews. Boy was that a mistake. Thick sliced meat, very sweet southern broth, sweet meatball, veggies were not fresh. Probably one of the worst bowls of Pho I have ever had. My vietnamese family told us it was an abomination of their culture. Took the waiter 15 minutes to give us menus and then had to repeat our order multiple times. Came back to table twice. I typically don't say anything about service as I don't really care about it, but this was a serious outlier for me.
Other steak Banh Mi Sandwich today It was absolutely the worst Banh Mi sandwich I had. The steak used was the cheapest thick cut with tons of fat and ligaments… very unappetizing… ended up tossing be sandwich. Gets 2 stars for bubble tea and timely delivery. Avoid steak and Banh mi sandwich
Regret coming to this place. Very bad. Not authentic. $23 for a noodle soup. But the soup is so greasy, meat is like a piece of wood, taste is not like pho. The service even worse. The guy has a cold face from beginning to end. The place is super small and has no table to sit. Will never come again. Worst pho in town. Waste my time and money!
Bought a noodle soup to take out. When opening it at the office turns out it's only cabbage and cucumber... covered in tons of peanuts although I had specifically said no nuts (bad allergy). Had to throw it all away. Never going back. 14 dollars wasted...
Waited to enter the store to place an order. Store which was supposed to open at 11am, didn't open until 11:15, while the employees sat and ate their meal, in full view of the customers waiting outside to enter. When they did eventually open the doors, the employees alleged that there was no bread to make sandwiches, and would not have any for 4 hours. 45 minutes later fellow employees were able to order sandwiches. If you can't open and fully provide your menu at 11 am as listed, simply change your hours. This restaurant gets an F for service.
I totally agree with one of the other reviews! Last time the sandwich was good, today I went in and ordered the same sandwich - the tofu was stale and the guy took 20 minutes to make the sandwich. He was also incredibly rude. This place has gone totally down hill. Please restore it to what it was in terms of freshness, speed and service , else shut it down!
2nd time here and will not return. 1st experience was amazing. I had a tofu sandwich and it was fresh. Simply delicious. I returned today craving same sandwich and experience. There was only 1 worker doing both the register and cooking. Tofu was stale, and only 3 cube pieces per sandwich half, bread was extra hard and toasted. They also charged me 11.50 + tax for this terrible sandwich. Worker seemed overwhelmed, didn't smile and restaurant needed cleaning up. Completely opposite experience from my first visit. What a shame.
Not my first time here but very disappointed this time, especially the service. I ordered takeout on September 27th at lunchtime. The only female servers was extremely rude from the moment I arrived. She gave me the wrong food, and instead of apologizing, she said it was only a “two or three dollar difference.” Again without any apologies!!!!! On top of that, the soup in my order was also cold when I received it. While the other staff I’ve interacted with here have always been nice, this experience with her was very frustrating and left me disappointed in the restaurant.
