This is the perfect setting for a girls night out! Our waiter, Jaime, was attentive yet also gave us time to chat and catch up. Not to mention the food was definitely worth what you pay. I will be coming back on my next trip to the city!
What a perfect spot before seeing a broadway show! Loved the atmosphere and the drinks but our impeccable server Dakota was the star and why we will return! In fact, after our show, we came back for post drinks in Dakota’s section again! Such a great spot and will definitely be back again. Ask for Dakota for star treatment!
Noah was warm and welcoming, quickly attended to us and got us our amazing dinner quickly. Had the smash burger and pan fried snapper. Both were great. We walk by here all the time and glad to have come in and try it. Will be back for happy hour. :)
Hi, I came here for a company meeting with my sister and we enjoyed the amazing food and drinks. I want to say our amazing server Noah was incredible. Please ask for him and thank me later. His recommendations are the best and he is just a pleasure. Best, Kelly & Ashley
Miss Nellie’s 🛩️🛶 - I got a smash burger double patty, it was really juicy - plus got warmed banana bread which tasted great - and got chicken and waffles which was really yummy - love how there are different themes inside to match miss nellie - great service and so many decorations inside
David was an excellent server during our dinner. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right without being intrusive. He explained the menu clearly, checked in at the perfect times, and kept our drinks filled. His positive attitude really added to the experience, and he made us feel welcome from start to finish. We come all the way from Wisconsin but if we come back to nyc, we will absolutely be back!!
Our recent Sunday brunch with colleagues proved to be a delightful experience. The aesthetic ambiance was particularly noteworthy, and our server provided attentive and personable service. The culinary offerings were well-received, resulting in complete satisfaction for all attendees. We anticipate returning in the future.
Miss Nellie’s was an absolute gem of a find! I visited on a Saturday night with a friend for a pre-Christmas dinner, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The restaurant was beautifully and tastefully decorated for the holidays, setting the perfect festive atmosphere. The food was phenomenal—everything we tried was a hit! We started with the Irish Espresso Martini, and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I liked it so much that I immediately texted some fellow espresso martini enthusiasts to recommend this spot. For appetizers, we shared the Nashville Chicken Bites and Crabcake Arancini, both of which were delicious. For our main course, we both ordered the Chicken Vodka Parmesan. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and an instant favorite. To end the meal, we split the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was absolutely divine—a must-try for dessert lovers! Beyond the incredible food, the service at Miss Nellie’s was impeccable. Every waiter was so friendly and attentive, making it one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, exceptional service, and a warm, festive ambiance, Miss Nellie’s should be at the top of your list. I can’t wait to return!
5 stars all around. I’ve been coming here fairly often the last year before seeing shows and taking friends for brunch. It’s an amazing place with delicious cocktails and food. Our waiter Jaime tonight was especially spectacular!
Ran to this place after 45 mins of browsing online for a place that was offering oysters past 11pm with girls and I’m soooo glad we did. The atmosphere was super friendly and the interior was so pretty for the holidays, picture perfect! But our waiter, Jaime, definitely made our night and made sure we were taken care of despite us arriving 15 minutes before the kitchen was supposed to close. He even got us dessert after we were told there were none available!
We had a great time! We had a reservation for 4 and they accommodated 5 without a complaint. This is an incredible cocktail bar and the shrimp lemon tortellini was 2 die 4. Jaime was very attentive and you should request him when you come! The fogg and fancy cocktail was great and came with a cool surprise!
The venue is lovely, and the ambiance of the restaurant and bar is welcoming and engaging when wanted. Our Server Noah was thoughtful (provided a non-alcoholic option to our sober companion). He was very attentive and open to providing suggestions with no annoyance at our large party. Entirely professional and a dream to be served by.
Miss Nellie’s is that *perfect* neighborhood spot—warm, welcoming, and packed with charm. The staff treats you like family, the cocktails are dangerously delicious, and the vibe? Pure coziness. Whether it’s brunch with friends or a low-key date night, this place just *gets it.* Also, shoutout to the killer playlist—always setting the mood right.
I booked a private event here for my company and it went really well! Marisa was really helpful in navigating how to make our space work when our group grew in size and in making sure the catering selections were appropriate. And the night of, the entire staff was really welcoming and accommodating. It made the experience really easy and fun for our guests. Plus, it looks so beautiful in there with the holiday decorations.
The service, atmosphere, and entire experience overall at Miss Nellie’s was amazing. The restaurant itself has such an amazing feel inside, and our server, Jaime, was a large part of the reason our experience was so amazing. He was attentive all night, always making sure we were doing okay on our food and drinks, as well as making great conversation and being very personable. The rest of the staff was also right there whenever a water glass was empty or a plate needed to be bussed. Overall amazing experience
I was really impressed by the decor and the overall vibe. It’s such a beautiful and well-thought-out space. The staff was incredibly warm and kind. Special shoutout to our waitress, Sam, who was very helpful and polite. Also, a big thank you to the hostess and manager for greeting us so nicely and even gifting us a lovely chocolate box for our Valentine’s Day dinner. From the ambiance to the food, everything was top-notch. The dishes were flavorful and reasonably priced and the drinks were just as amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing friends for dinner! My only suggestion would be to expand the menu a bit, having a few more food options and more than just three desserts would be great. But other than that, everything was impeccable and totally Instagrammable. Every single detail in that place is worth a picture! One small note: the address on Google and Instagram should be updated to 325 instead of 321 to avoid any confusion. Wishing you all much success and I can’t wait to visit again!
I had a pre-Broadway dinner with some friends. The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and warm. The service was accommodating, and the food was delicious. The Dubai chocolate cake was one of the most delicious cakes I have tasted. A slice of cake was enough to share with three friends, so just be warned.
Miss Nellie’s is exactly the kind of spot you want in New York when you’re craving great food, fun energy, and a place that actually feels thoughtfully put together. From the moment you walk in, the space hits you with warm lighting, gorgeous Christmas decorations, and a festive atmosphere that immediately sets the tone. They go all-in on seasonal décor, and it shows — it feels cozy, elevated, and genuinely joyful without crossing into tacky holiday overload. The food is fantastic across the board. Everything comes out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with attention to detail. It’s the kind of menu where you can order anything and know it’s going to slap. Pair that with a fun and creative drink list, and you’ve got a combo that makes it super easy to lose track of time. Their cocktails are balanced, flavorful, and way better than the usual mid-tier bar offerings you find in the city. A huge standout is their happy hour. The selection is genuinely impressive — not the watered-down, “only two items apply” type of deal a lot of NYC places try to pass off as happy hour. Miss Nellie’s actually gives you options: great drinks, snacks, and solid portions at prices that feel like a steal for Manhattan. Service is very good. The staff keeps things moving, checks in without hovering, and makes sure you’re taken care of even on busy nights. You can tell they’re trained well and actually enjoy working there, which adds a lot to the overall vibe. Overall, Miss Nellie’s is one of those spots that manages to be fun, welcoming, and high-quality all at once. Whether you’re going for happy hour, dinner, drinks with friends, or just want to soak in the holiday atmosphere, it’s absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The menu had a lot of variety. The decorations are fun and interesting and the staff were great, especially our server Jaime. He was knowledgeable about the restaurant and very friendly and fast. Will definitely be back!
We had the best time at Miss Nellie’s in March! We sat at the bar and the service was awesome. Carter, Sasha, and Shain were all lovely. Their dill cocktail was life changing and the espresso martinis were divine! The food was very good. We also really enjoyed the Photo Booth in the restaurant! Overall great atmosphere, food, drinks, and people. Will definitely be a repeat when we’re in NYC!
Miss Nellie’s is a hit! A friend and I had reservations before a show. Our train was delayed and we were running late. We called the restaurant to notify them and they pushed back our reservation time no problem which was so nice! When we got there we got seated quickly. Our food and drinks came so fast! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was also delicious and were great portions for the price! Plus the whole ambiance of the place is so cool! Its dim lighting and eclectic decorations creates such a fun, funky vibe. It is a perfect place to go for dinner before a show!
I love the nice design and is really comfortable chairs. The food was amazing and the lobster rolls with chips were very delicious a must try. Then I have the crab balls which it was good. The star of the show was the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese it is definitely a must try. It's cheesy and it has an Italian flavor which made it so much delicious. Definitely one of the best mac and cheese I have ever tried. The staff was really nice and welcoming. Thank you
I feel incredibly honored to have been part of the opening night celebration! The cocktails we had were absolutely fantastic, offering a delightful twist on tropical rum cocktails with the Caribbean Cowboy, and a perfect choice for old-fashioned drink lovers with the Foggy and Fancies. The restaurant's spacious layout and varied ambiance in different rooms added to the wonderful experience. The friendly staff ensured that everyone had a great time, making it such a delightful addition to the neighborhood! I can't wait to visit again and experience more of what this amazing place has to offer!
Miss Nellie’s is such a uniquely curated space that provides a very visually stimulating dining experience. The service was too good, the support staff for checked in and took care of us more than we could ever ask for. Our server was Noah and he was perfect. Also, if you’re considering getting the French dip, get it. I wish their menu was a tiny bit larger, but I’ll be back regardless.
Dinner at miss nellies was a surprise hit! We didn't know anything about it when we made reservations but were so pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, atmosphere., food and excellent service. Our waiter David was very attentive and the whole staff was very pleasant. He brought a delicious dessert with a candle for my granddaughter's birthday. Also, the restaurant and restroom were handicapped accessible which is always a concern for me since I use a mobility scooter. I would surely come back
This was one of my favorite experiences in nyc. The food, service and ambiance was top tier. I was so pleased with it all! Caelynn was our waitress and she was amazing, definitely made our experience 10/10. She was so kind, quick to serve, and a lovely woman to chat with! She was the best server we had on our trip!
AMAZING! I’m so happy I found this place! This was my husband and I’s first time here and it definitely won’t be our last!! When we booked the reservation on OpenTable, we put in the notes section that we were going to be celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived and the host sat us at our table, he handed us a letter and personally wished us a happy anniversary. Upon opening the letter it was a handwritten note wishing us a happy anniversary! This was so thoughtful and we knew from that moment that we were going to be taken care of! Our awesome server, David, even brought us over 2 glasses of complimentary prosecco to help us celebrate! What an amazing gesture!! We shared the Andouille Croquettes and the Hot Mozzarella Stixx for our appetizers and both were perfect! For our entree’s we got the Steak Frites and the Double Smashburger. We both cleaned our plates! For dessert we shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding Sundae, and let me just say I didn’t think we were going to like it as much as we did but the whole thing was gone within 3 minutes! Seriously such an amazing restaurant experience! We cannot wait to come back soon! They also have a cute photo booth inside the restaurant that is such a cute touch for a little keepsake. Thank you David and Miss Nellie’s for a perfect night!! ❤️
Came with my husband for a quick bite and a drink after the show and We ended up having such a great time . Drinks were exceptional , I couldn’t decide what to get , Bartender suggested a cocktail called ‘Traveling light ‘ that instantly fall in love with. Sasha was warm, extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves what she does.always nice to be around that kind of energy . We will definitely be back next time we are in New York !
I was excited to check out a new addition to the Broadway district. I have a soft spot for places with newly remodeled spaces, and this one didn't disappoint. The restaurant is steeped in history, with stunning details behind every themed corner. It was already beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, creating a festive atmosphere. The attentive and lovely staff added to the experience. We sampled several items from the menu. The oysters were fresh and paired with a variety of condiments, while the shrimp cocktail was also fresh and appetizing. The avocado bites and crab cake arancini leaned toward the fried side. I enjoyed the arancini and its flavorful sauce, but the avocado bites weren't to my liking due to a hint of sourness. The smashburger with a double patty was tender and delicious. We also ordered the house-cut fries, which were well-seasoned but unfortunately arrived cold instead of sizzling hot. The cocktails were excellent and rounded out the meal nicely.
I had such a great experience at Miss Nellie’s! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was super cozy, but what really made it special was our server, Jaime. He was so attentive, friendly, and on top of everything the whole time. You can tell he really cares about making sure guests are happy. Jamie was honestly the greatest – I’ll definitely be coming back!
If you’re visiting Miss Nellie’s, do yourself a favor and hope you land in Jaime’s section because he is truly next-level exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Jaime made us feel like honored guests rather than just another table. His warmth is genuine, his timing is impeccable, and his attention to detail is something you rarely see anymore. BTW… you have to get the tortellini with shrimp (he recommended it jaja)!!!
We came here after a Broadway show and sat at the bar. The atmosphere and decor were great, the food was delicious, and the drinks were wonderful. But the highlight was our bartender, Sasha. She was amazing -warm, engaging, and made the whole experience even better. The musical was wonderful, the restaurant was wonderful, and Sasha was wonderful. Thank you - we’ll definitely be back!
A recommendation from a friend led us to Miss Nellie's. We came in for a quick bite and ended up enjoying some of the excellent cocktails also. The Lobster and Caviar rolls, Smashburger, and Mozzarella sticks were all fabulous Our server, David, is a superstar - his service timing was spot on and he is intent on seeing his customers have a great experience. We enjoyed our evening so much, we popped in the next night for a wind down beverage after a show. We were greeted warmly by David who remembered us - such a nice feeling. We have found our new local when in Midtown. Thank you to all at Miss Nellie's - see you soon PS the music was great both nights 😀
Definitely an excellent surprise! I was walking around with my partner without choosing anything online, hopping from place to place, until we found this beautiful bar. The hosts were super friendly, and the appetizers I ordered were perfect! Even the fries, which are something simple, were spot‑on. Our server, David, was very attentive and kept checking in to see if we needed anything, which I really appreciated. The beer was perfect, and the atmosphere is amazing. And the biggest surprise was discovering that the bar has a reference to Nellie Bly. Loved it! Totally worth it!
Rarely you can find a restaurant with everything all good around. The deco was stunning. Very attentive service and the food was superb. We had the ribeye Benny, turkey sandwich, and a small size pancake. Everything was great, but the pancake was awesome. It was super fluffy and the butter itself was a perfect match.
Went to Ms. Nellie's for the 1st time and I al already planning when I can go back! The vibe here is so cool, classy, trendy and appropriate for any occasion. The Doublesmashburger was exceptional and my cocktail (w egg white in it) was the best I ever had! Had a Green tea vodka & peach shot and that was delicious too! Most of all the service was exceptional which is something I always appreciate. Thank you to all of Ms. Nellie's team. I really can't wait to go back. If you're in the area GO!
Had a great experience today. The food was good and our server Noah was great, super sweet and attentive🤍. Had the hot mozzarella sticks for appetizers and the smashed burger with the gluten free bread. The espresso Martini was really good as well. The bread was amazing and overall happy with everything. Will definitely be visiting again.
Caelinn was amazing! she was very attentive and super sweet. she genuinely made our experience 1000x better. Would definitely come back! My table and I had the Gossip Column and Tropical Tantrum… AMAZING! For food we shared mediterranean appetizers, meatballs and lemon ricotta… all so good would definitely get again especially the lemon ricotta!
The food and drinks are excellent. The atmosphere, though a little on the dark, mysterious side, is quite invigorating: fun music, trendy, eclectic decor. The staff, though, puts this place over the top. My second trip to Miss Nellie's was even better than the first, which was a high bar to begin with. They make it feel like visiting an old friend. If you're celebrating - birthday, anniversary, life - this is the place to go.
Wow. What a beautiful ambiance. I have been a professional bartender for 3 years and the cocktails here are clearly formulated and practiced, extremely delicious and balanced. The French dip was incredible and flavorful! But the most important part of our night was Noah, what an absolute pleasure. So polite and kind with great menu knowledge and recommendations. As an “out of towner” I would tell anyone coming into the city that Miss Nellie’s is the place to go.
The drinks and our server were definitely the highlight of this meal!! For drinks we got the Caribbean Cowboy, the Appletini, and the Silent Film Star. The mozz sticks were amazing and my husband loved his roast chicken. I had the ravioli and it was good just a little too oily for me. I wish I could remember our server’s name because she was great. We will definitely come back!
Everything was amazing! Food was flavorful, drinks were delicious, and service was top tier. Jaime was our server and did a great job - he was very knowledgeable of the menu items and made great suggestions!
Went to Miss Nellie’s to celebrate my birthday with my fiancé and ended up coming back for a 2nd time the next night! Food & drinks, vibes, and service were all spectacular! Vintage/victorian decor covers every corner making it a romantic/luxourious atmosphere. Perfect for date night, girls night, etc. Our servers both times, Sasha F and Noah A, were amazing! 😊🫶
Love the interior decoration. It is so unique and exquisite. Great for special occasions, date nights and friends gatherings. We enjoyed all the food we ordered . Spaghetti was delicious so was the brisket burger. The Brussel sprout was tasty. Barata and beats appetizer was refreshing and delicious. Cocktails were carefully crafted and tasted delightful. Service was attentive, staff were very friendly. Pricing was reasonable given the area the restaurant is in. Definitely a fun place to check out. Do recommend.
This place is amazing. I had the best brunch of my life here. The food was so amazing it genuinely left me speechless. The vibe in there was so cool, so much to look out and the photo booth is a great touch. The staff was also so sweet especially the bartenders. I highly recommend the eggs ranchero
Fell across Nellies. Went in for cocktails - ‘Above the Clouds’ was super cute. Our server David W was so helpful in helping us to source a place for drinks after our later dinner reservation. Such a nice atmosphere and decor is cool! Would recommend!
Came during December and the atmosphere was amazing. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Elegant and cozy, with great classic Christmas music setting the mood. Of all the restaurants we visited during our time in the city this was by far our favorite hands done. Food was great, service was great. Highly recommend, a hidden gem.
Miss Nellie’s in New York is an absolute gem! The Mediterranean platter was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor—every bite felt like a trip across the Mediterranean. The chicken parm meatballs were out of this world: tender, cheesy, and perfectly sauced, easily one of the best bites I’ve had in the city. On top of the food, the service made the experience unforgettable. Our server, Noah, went above and beyond—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu. He made us feel completely taken care of and added a warm, personal touch to the night. I can’t recommend Miss Nellie’s enough—delicious food, amazing atmosphere, and top-notch service. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Such a great vibe in here! Food is consistently delicious, drinks are creative and good and they don't bang you over the head with prices. The wait staff is over the top attentive! Less than two blocks from Times Square, it has become my go to for before or after theater spot. The French Dip is AMAZING!
Miss Nellie’s is a must! Such a hidden gem in the city, easily the best experience on our trip. We ordered The Mediterranean platter which was a great portion, and chicken parm meatballs were incredible. Huge shoutout to our server Noah— absolute slay. Also found out that there are several restaurants across the city by the same owners. Wish we had time to visit them all! Will recommend this to all our friends. One thing I recommend is bring a sweater, was a bit chilly.
Such a great spot — randomly walked by from seeing a show with a friend and it looked super cute. Absolute great vibes, superb food (the steak frites were great) and Cecile out server was phenomenal. Definitely come here if you’re looking for something more chill and quiet after seeing a show.
From when we first walked in the service was amazing. All staff were super sweet. Our server David, our food runner (i think he said his name was Cory), and the bartender (didn’t get his name but he was from Dublin) were attentive and the conversations with them was great. The food was delicious (especially the eggplant chips). I 10/10 would recommend and be back.
Went here before seeing Beetlejuice on broadway (shoutout Trisha Paytas). The food was perfect and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance of this place is so unique and fun with a Photo Booth that made my night. A little expensive, but nothing unusual for its location near Times Square. Fun drinks and great atmosphere!!
David was beyond amazing! His trainee Leah was sweet and attentive! David’s food suggestions were on point and he exemplifies service with a smile! I cannot say enough about the food, service and atmosphere! Will definitely be back! Thank you David for making our dinner extra special!
I've been to Miss Nellie's twice now and had a great experience both times. The decor is fantastic, especially around the holidays. There is a more intimate front bar area (seems like it would be great for a holiday party) and a larger bar and seating area in the back. The drink menu is fun and I enjoyed the food as well, especially the mini lobster rolls!
This place is so cute! I had seen it on Instagram during my last NYC trip but the reviews were mixed and we weren’t staying within walking distance so we ended up going somewhere else. However, on our recent weekend trip this was nearby and my husband and I thought it looked cool so we decided to try it—and I’m so happy we did! While the decor was totally up my alley and I loved the aesthetic, the food was good as well! We enjoyed the fluffy bee pollen pancakes and the smash burgers (we could’ve probably just shared one since we didn’t finish them). Our drinks were also just as tasty as they were aesthetically pleasing. The staff was also warm, welcoming, and helpful — from our hostess, to our servers, and even the table runner who brought me more ketchup. I would definitely come back or recommend this spot to anyone on the fence!
Me and my partner are traveling from out of town and saw this location on media platforms. The food was fantastic. The spicy chicken appetizer was delicious. That was my boyfriend’s favorite part. We both got the chicken parm meatballs which were so good. We got dessert and drinks as well 10/10. The highlight of the night was our server Noah. Noah was fantastic! So attentive and friendly. We are definitely coming back here when we travel in the future.
What an amazing experience all around. We were celebrating an early birthday before attending a show. Once we walked in we were greeted by every staff member that we saw and I was given a cute hand written birthday card. The drinks, the food and of course the service were all top notch. Cailinn our waitress was so nice and made us feel right at home. I got the French dip sandwich which was excellent. They also gave us a birthday desert on the house, which made my night. I would highly recommend this restaurant! You will not be disappointed.
My wife and I had an incredible meal at Miss Nellie’s — easily one of the best dining experiences in NYC. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the chic, yet cozy ambiance that set the stage for a memorable evening. We started with the Caviar Lobster Rolls, three mini rolls filled with perfectly cooked lobster, topped with caviar and a hint of lemon. Paired with crisp house chips, this dish was a perfect balance of indulgence and freshness. The Lemon Ricotta Tortellini was a highlight — the lemon ricotta cream paired beautifully with fresno and piquillo peppers, garlic, and white wine. It was rich, bright, and utterly comforting. The Pan-Fried Snapper stole the show. The snapper was perfectly crispy and tender, and the broccolini, roasted peppers, and olive salsa complemented it beautifully. The cocktails were equally exceptional. The Filthy One, made with olive oil fat-washed Bombay gin and blue cheese olives, was a bold, unforgettable take on a classic martini. But Fogg & Fancies was the real showstopper — a bourbon-based cocktail presented inside a stack of books that released a cloud of smoke when opened, adding a dramatic flair to the already delicious drink. Every dish, every drink, and every detail was crafted with care, making this a top-tier dining experience. The service was impeccable, and the overall vibe of Miss Nellie’s made it a night to remember. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal in NYC.
Stopped into Miss Nellie’s for brunch before a show this weekend, and I’m so glad that I did. This was such a cute spot, particularly for a history buff like myself. I sat at the bar and tried a few of their specialty martinis, all of which were SO tasty! The bartender was very helpful and making recommendations. I ended up going with the BEC for food, and I was not disappointed. Everything was delicious, and the service was spectacular. This is definitely a treat!
Miss Nellie’s has fully transformed the space—every inch redecorated, leaving no trace of the former Peachy Keen. The vibe is cheeky Victorian with tons of visual details to take in. I went for brunch, and the menu features typical NYC brunch fare. Portions are generous, and I really enjoyed the strawberry mocktail. It’s a promising spot with a fun atmosphere, but not sure if they will survive NYC’s competitive dining landscape.
Jaime was a great server! Very kind and attentive to service. Loved the food, especially the spicy broccolini. My steak was cooked perfectly. The best part was the cozy and beautiful ambiance. Although my friends drink order got mixed up, they fixed it and I even got a free drink as well. Would absolutely come here again!
The smash burger is incredible and you are able to replace the fries with the truffle parm fries, which you will want to inhale before even stopping to take a photo. Service of the waitstaff was great and personable, but the reception took some time to figure something out on their end and while they were apologetic, it did cut into the available time we had before a show. I would recommend someone book a little more than an hour before a show to account for potential snags so that you can still enjoy all your food. We got the shishito peppers first which had a perfect char, highly recommend! Then it did take a while for the burger and fries to come out, and the section was pretty crowded so we were getting anxious about the timing. Finally, I did ask about the status of the order and the very kind gentleman (really wish I had gotten their name, sorry!!) was super understanding. He even helped prepare the check in advance because he knew it was a bit of a rushed situation. Overall, as a guest, I would be better with timing now that I know how busy it can get and how certain dishes take time for perfection, but I also do recommend that if the front reception has a situation to address then at least one other person is available to still address the patrons and get them situated. Very much giving benefit of the doubt here and would be ecstatic to come back to eat that burger again!
We thought that atmosphere was really nice and the service was friendly. It has a unique interior and the bathroom is quite pretty. The food was tasty but overpriced for the portion size. We asked for an alternative replacement for the french fries for the spicy chicken sandwich, the server said we can replace with a salad, but it turns out that we were charged an extra $3 for it. That was definitely not worth it and I would not have agreed to that. The drinks sounded exciting but was lacking in flavor and kick.
First impression was wow. Very nice decor and lovely atmosphere. It has a speakeasy vibe. Servers are attentive. Food is ok. I thought some are a bit salty like the eggplant chips and the calamari. I expected the lobster rolls to have more actual chunks of lobster for what you’re paying for. The mayo was overpowering. They have unusual cocktails but since they have a full bar, I’m sure they can make the classics.
The atmosphere and service in this restaurant is the reason I’d come back! Our waitress Sam was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The art and decorations here are unbelievably stunning. The food was pretty good, but aside from the Lemon Ricotta Tortellini, it was fairly average in my family’s opinion. My mom and sister ordered drinks and my sister loved her espresso martini. We also got the Mediterranean Dips app and I liked the pita and hummus. The chicken parm meatballs were pretty good and my mom ordered the smashburger and said it was average. If you plan on coming here for a meal, I recommend getting a cocktail and the Lemon Ricotta Tortellini. I typically hate citrus, but this meal was a mild lemony flavor that was so good. Our waitress gave us complimentary shots at the end of our meal and was so kind to give me a non-alcoholic option since she didn’t think I drank (which is accurate).
Came here for brunch as a walk-in. Had the Mc Nellie's B.E.C.- bacon, egg, hash brown, and cheese with sauce on a toasted English muffin - absolutely delicious! The combination was perfectly balanced and the sauce gave it an amazing flavor. The ambiance is unique and charming, a cozy spot that feels both casual and special. The service was great, everyone was friendly and attentive. Definitely want to come back and try dinner next time!
MIss Nellies is a fun victorian decorated restaurant with carpets on the ceilings and several different rooms for seating. I think it is usually pretty busy and lively and hard to get a reservation if you try close to your desired date but easy if you do it a little in advance. Overall this restaurant was a fun spot with some good food options. We went for brunch so can’t comment on lunch or dinner some regulars were speaking with said it was very good. Unfortunately they have batched cocktails which is a negative for me. The dirty martini looked nice when served but was quite small for the price and not a favorite for my taste. It may have been the gin they used, but it was rather bland. The chopped salad was good but think the name is misleading. It is simply a mixed green salad. There was nothing chopped at all. Tasty but not what was expected based on the name. Smash burger was the best bite. Cooked well but still juicy and melt in your mouth delicious. Fries were extremely well cooked very crispy and the right amount of salt. We split the burger between two people and it was a great portion. We ended with a short stack of bee pollen pancakes, again one order split between two people and it was a perfect dessert. We ordered it with everything on the side, butter and syrup which I highly recommend because then you can taste each component and decide what you want on them. They are served very hot, a real plus, and have crunch on the outside but were light and fluffy inside. A really very good pancake. Overall enjoyed the food at this restaurant
Came here for the anniversary event which included a free drink. Full bar, huge space with a room that also included a bar by the entrance. Very mature looking. The bartender Sarcha was nice and polite. I had the Negroni which was ok but I can tell it's me of a gentleman's drink. I order the spicy boneless chicken bites which was good but not spicy. I loved the cute envelope that is given with the bill and the uniforms are different. It was a good experience and I works definitely go again and recommended for after work.
The hostess was very friendly and sweet. The restaurant is gorgeous and so unique. They didn’t have enough servers and we were ignored for most of our meal. We tried five dishes. The potato skin appetizer was dry and needed more zing. The pancakes were dry, not warm, and served with a small tablespoon of syrup with an up charge for any more than the small ramekin. The ribeye Benedict was okay (the steak was stringy) and the French fries were great. The chicken parm was good enough but nothing spectacular. The daily special of the huevos Rancheros with steak and guacamole was the only dish that was truly excellent.
I really wanted to like this restaurant more. The service was great. The ambiance was fantastic. But when my $28 Fish n Chips order arrived, I knew I wouldn’t be coming back anytime soon, which is a shame since I live in the neighborhood. What did I get for nearly $30? Four pieces of chicken nugget-sized pieces of overcooked fish on a bed of fast food-level French fries. In London, one of the most expensive cities in the world, you’d get a huge portion of fried cod 5x the size for the same cost. Disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding however, was fantastic. I may come back just for that and order at the bar.
I wanted to love this place and was so excited to come here. The photos of the interior vibe looked amazing as did the food. And I will say both of those delivered. We ordered a short stack of the bee pollen pancakes to share and it was delicious albeit VERY sweet and I am a sweets lover. My friend took a few bites and had to tap out because it was just too sweet for her. She ordered the tuna crispy rice and I ordered the shaved brussel salad with chicken. Service is where things fell short. Our server was kind, but either due to her forgetting or the kitchen blundering the order, our food was brought out and my salad was missing chicken. When the runner came over with the food I asked where the chicken was and said I ordered chicken. He first told me no which sort of took me aback and then he said he would find our server. Even then I wasn’t too worried or even disappointed, I know things happen. Our server came to the table and apologized and assured us that the chicken would be out in three minutes. The chicken took over ten minutes, probably just shy of fifteen. I didn’t want my friend’s meal to get cold so I encouraged her to eat and she was done eating by the time my chicken had arrived. I also was hungry so I began eating the salad without any protein and was halfway done with it when the chicken finally arrived. On top of it, the eight dollar chicken portion was so incredibly small. At that point I was hungry and frustrated and wanted to get on with our day. The food was good but I’m not sure its good enough to return even for a cool interior if the service is lacking.
3 stars because our the interior is nice. Menu is small and pricey. We got the chicken parm meatballs and the French dip sandwich. Both were bleh. French dip sandwich was close to $30 and it lacked flavor, did not taste like anything. Meatballs were also okay but nothing impressive. Margarita was good. Paid like $117 total
Disappointed. On annual trip to NYC (couple days before Christmas). Saw positive reviews and was excited to try Miss Nellie's for lunch. Service left a lot to be desired. I watched the server work the room while almost ignoring our table although we were seated prior to a couple other tables. I'm gonna give grace and say that he mad a poor decision and served tables based on their location not when they were seated. However, the area we were in is truly small so it is doubtful that it wasn't clear how folks were seated. Once seated no one greeted or spoke to us for what seemed like 7-8 minutes. The server literally come over and said "you ready to order". We ordered lemonades with the meals...I watched the server walked by our table 8-10 times bringing out lemonade 10 minutes later. Food came out. Server checked on our satisfaction with the meal when we were about done and ready for the bill. I had a better experience at Carnegie Diner...which shouldn't even be in the same conversation.
