The service was great, Sue was great, the people were amazing, and the food is just WOW! I ordered the salmon and as soon as I took a bite out of it, the skin was crunchy to perfection, and the taste was absolutely scrumptious! Thank you to my friend for bringing me here ☺️♥️
We were invited by our dear friends to attend a art opening reception at Pangaea, which was fabulously good. The appetizers were coming everywhere and one after another sooo good and tasty! We did sit down after and had dinner, I ordered Spagetti Bolognese, because it's one of my favorite dishes ( whish I cook regularly since she 14...). It was delicious! My husband had the House Specials Egg Plant in Japanese style, anyway he loved it...The menu is very diverse and good. The owner, Staff is wonderful, a very unique place. Ooh, also order this fabulously smoky Margarita!
I had a great time and saw a wonderful show. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Just felt the need to share my fantastic time at Pangea. I absolutely loved the cabaret style setting in the back of the restaurant. I felt like I stepped back in time, to a 1920 stylish speakeasy. So well done and put together. Add to this was the incredible talent of Brian Alejandro and his tales from Las Vegas. I am not quite sure which I loved more his last Vegas stories or his wonderful singing. I will just say both were equally enjoyable. I Also really appreciated the attentive staff which only made the wonderful cuisine even more tasty. Bravo, Pangea, I will be back.
Always constantly great. The food, the service, and the hosts. I love this place! Now that Pangea has regular cabaret nights, it makes it even more fun to come with your friends or out of town visitors. You will be talking about the evening for months to come because it always holds surprises and unexpected moments. The drinks are big and the price is small. Well worth a repeat visit.
A perfect place for food and a beautiful show. The art in the back room is always stunning. A class act of a place!
I have been coming to Pangea 25 years now. I know the owners, Arnaldo and Stephen over 30 years now. They are amazing, warm and the service is out of this world. When I come to Pangea its like going to family for dinner because you know its going to be a great evening with outstanding food and good company. The decor with the beautiful art work surrounding the restaurant makes the feel of the room, intimate and inviting. My favorite appetizer is goat cheese and beet salad, seared Salmon for dinner is one of my favorite. The menu changes with the season which is a great touch. my favorite dessert used to be tiramisu but haven't had it for a while since it has not been on the menu and hoping to see it again soon. Everything about Pangea is wonderful along with the special events that they support. New Years eve is a wonderful treat at Pangea. If you have never spent it here, you should try it. These guys have been in the restaurant business over 30 years and know how to do it right. If I lived in the East Village i would go broke eating out every day at Pangea. Since I live on the Upper West Side, its a nice treat to come to the East Village Neighborhood for a nice evening out for dinner , brunch or for a get together with friends for drinks and appetizer. The price is right, so ease on down to the East Village and enjoy eats at Pangea, you will enjoy it.
On most of our trips to New York we find ourselves spending one night at Pangea for dinner & a show. They have a very intimate back room behind the restaurant. The tables are tight but that's OK because everyone there has come to enjoy the evening. Come early so that you can enjoy dinner before the show. The menu is small. The items are fairly basic. But the kitchen turns out perfectly enjoyable plates. We dined on a salmon burger & roast salmon. The shows start punctually & even at the back you are very close to the stage.Sight lines are great. The sound system is well set up. And to be honest, we have enjoyed every show at Pangea. That includes Flotilla Debarge, Raven O & Joey Arias. Service is congenial & accommodating. What's not to like: dinner, an enjoyable show with people who treat you nice ?
Pangea is our favorite place to go to enjoy a delicious meal while enjoying fabulous performances. The care and attention we receive from the staff feels like we’re visiting family. Highlights on the menu are the lemon risotto balls and the salmon avocado burger…but I know that anything the chef prepares will be yummy.
This place is a neighborhood gem and it has never disappointed me. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is reliably delicious. It has a wonderful kind of Moroccan flair. I often take out-of-towners to this place for a unique New York City experience, and they always love it, too. Recommended: the Roasted Cauliflower appetizer, the Moroccan Chicken, and the Flourless Chocolate Cake, which has a wonderfully soft, pudding-like consistency.
My fiance and I stopped in this cute little bar for some drinks before heading out for a birthday party! The sangria was delicious! We ordered a green tea shot and he made extra so we got more than we bargained for, which is no complain!!! They were super nice , they had a cabaret show going on in the back, we may be back to check out. People came in and ordered food and it looked delicious! The ambiance and decor of the place was so quaint and cute!
Met a friend for dinner. Food was delicious. (Risotto was perfect and the flourless chocolate cake with the perfect dab of a salty white cream was amazing.) Service was impeccable. Atmosphere was very nice.

Food was good and the $10 pasta special was nice
Penne Bolognese was savory and flavorful. Salmon burger was outstanding. Service was good, atmosphere was very pleasant. Pricing was typical, not outrageous. We were in the cabaret room where the entertainment was fun.
This is a nice, intimate setting with a cozy vibe. I was there for a jazz concert by the amazing David Raleigh. While I didn't order any food, I did have 2 of their amazing signature drinks that had me kinda tipsy, lol.🍹 Gotta say, I've been thinking about it ever since! . . I ❤NY
Fun place to go, enjoy a delicious meal and a show. Outdoor & indoor seating. Coby and a team of entertainers put on a wonderful show. The songs and musical 🎼 🎶 talents made for a fun evening.

Unfortunately was not impressed at all with the restaurant. I had high expectations for $25 appetizers but the serving size was underwhelming... You certainly don't get the value for what you pay for. I asked for a medium steak but it ended up being tough and chewy. I had it sent back but to my surprise, there was no replacement and I wasn't told about it. The waiter just took it back and voided the line item, and I sat there for 20 mins waiting for nothing. The service was also incredibly sparse. The place was empty on a weeknight and the waiter didn't stop by in between serving the meal to check up on us. It was also hard to get a hold of any waiter. You would think there would be more attention if we were the only table here. I'm starting to understand now why this shop is empty tonight.

Went to Pangea to listen to Alexis Cole (who was fabulous). But the service was non-existent--it took 30 minutes before we could even ask for water. Then they didn't have half of the entrees on the menu (which the waiter didn't know, so kept on returning to ask us to change our order). I asked specifically not to overcook the chicken breast in my chicken milanese, but it came out like cardboard it was so dry. Finally, the waiter (mistakenly?) added a $12 charge to our bill for tap water. You think that was bad, the people on either side of never even got their entrees!
The owner/manager, Michael Ault is a disgrace. I told him about the food (the bolognese) & Risotto being too salty for us & he didn't care at all. Then they remade it but they didn't it was no different, pathetic. And the shrimp cocktail they must have gotten at Keyfood. It's really sad when you go somewhere & expect to be treated well & they disregard you & your concerns. Well, they don't ever have to worry about me coming back or telling anyone to come here. Pangea, you should be ashamed of yourselves treating people the way they do. I'm done.
Went in with my partner on a Saturday night after hearing about a 2 for 1 drink deal by referral from a venue across the street. The food was OK, not the worst but the eggplant could've used more time to cook, portions were small, and the food was nothing too flavorful or creative. However, at the end of the meal we were charged full price for both drinks despite the waiter saying we could go ahead with the 2 for 1 deal. Apparently, the deal was supposed to apply to only one person buying drinks but of course we weren't told that despite everything being on the same bill. On top of that we were charged separately for the appetizer and entree we ordered despite being given the prix fixe menu. The fact that the dishes and drinks cost so much more than expected and weren't prix fixe made the small portions and low quality stand out even more. On top of that, the service was slow as hell. The one positive thing I can say regarding this place is that the atmosphere was nice and there were comfortable couches with pillows for diners.
My friends and I sat down at a table and a server came up to us and turned on a small light above our table. He left and we turned it off and I believe the manager came up to us and started yelling about us turning the light off. He was screaming at us “say it, say it” to have us say we wanted to turn the light off. He continued screaming when we weren’t responding because we were in genuine shock. He then yelled at us to leave. This was absurd behavior I understand it may have been rude to turn off a light that was a part of our table without asking the staff, but that was an outrageous response. He continued yelling at us out the door. This was aggressive and a little uncalled for in my opinion. I have never experienced anything close to this in my life- how is this allowed?
