My friend and I went here because he went there before and really enjoyed it... I had the surf and turf which was an 8 oz Lobster tail and a 8 oz filet mignon... It was definitely five stars... each one was cooked perfectly unto itself I really don't have anything negative to say about it... Yeah, that good. The host was incredibly friendly I thought he knew my friend... We went on a Thursday night... it was very busy and very crowded and even though there was traffic and my friend was late they had no problem accommodating us...

Excellent steakhouse perfectly located on the east side. We came for dinner on Saturday after it was suggested by the concierge. We had an absolutely delicious meal. And we spoiled by their amazing staff. Great cocktails too! The baked clams were so good we ordered 2 orders. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, one of the best cuts we had in New York City during our trip for sure if not the best. The lobster Mac and cheese also delicious!!! Will definitely be back!! Thank you for a great evening.

Best-meal-ever! Wonderful restaurant with the most amazing cuts of beef cooked to perfection. Waiters very professional and create a great atmosphere. Family were treated very well by all. Also good dealing with nut allergy. It’s not the cheapest but you pay for what you get and you will not be disappointed.
Absolutely incredible EVERYTHING! We accidentally made our reservation at their sister's restaurant then showed up to this location and they accommodated us with zero issues! (Even on a Saturday night, at Christmas!) Top notch service. DELICIOUS food. 10/10 recommend!

Margarite and I went to Rocco’s Steakhouse in Midtown NYC — a place we’ve visited many times and recommended to plenty of friends. Every time we walk in, we’re reminded why it stands out. Vinny greeted and seated us, and the moment we stepped in he gave us that familiar, genuine warmth. He seemed truly happy to see us and even gave the impression he remembered us from prior visits — that small touch that makes you feel like more than just another table. Even though Rossini wasn’t our waiter this time, he still stopped by to talk with us. He told us about coming here from Montenegro 40 years ago, spending 34 years at one restaurant, and now being with Rocco’s for the last 7. His pride in his work, his stories, and the way he engages guests is something rare. I’m used to going to restaurants where a young, anxious server rushes through the order, drops the plates, and hands you the check hoping you skip dessert. Rocco’s is the complete opposite. The conversation with Rossini was enlightening and engaging, and the entire interaction felt like we were spending time with old friends. That’s what keeps bringing us back — the food is incredible, but it’s the people who make Rocco’s truly exceptional.
One of the better steaks I have had in NY. Rocco is your quintessential steakhouse deserving a spot with some of the top steakhouses in the city. The staff, especially Vinny, had great energy and made us feel welcomed. Other than the steak being cooked perfectly, I wanted to give a special mention to the lettuce wedge salad. Our server, Edin, truly elevated the evening from great to unforgettable. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and had a fantastic rapport that made us feel like valued guests. Walk into old world hospitality. Unbelievably grateful service and food. Large cocktails, mouth watering steaks served sizzling, the largest bake potato you ever saw, and organic creamed spinach. A truly wonderful experience. And as my guest stated, this is the BEST steak he has ever eaten. This is a must try in NYC.

This is the restaurant perfect for large group business dinners or a large group birthday celebration. The lights are not too dim, warm and cozy. Our guests were arriving later than the reservation time and the manager Henry our waiter Daniel came to assure we dont need to rush. Start your appetizers with a shared seafood platter, the crab cake and onion soup was our favorite. We ordered 4 different kind of steaks, go with the ribeye and porterhouse. The wine list was also excellent, you can find different price ranges from 60 -1000 a bottle. Our nice was made so special because of the wonderful staff, thank you again
Utter perfection after hunting for the best steak in New York for the past week. The grand finale and curtain call had to be Rocco’s Steakhouse which, in a funny chance, I recommended to my friends but inadvertently went to an established chain in great disappointment. Upon hard sell from my friend, I had to make a 90 minutes trip back to the city to try the slice of 45-day dry-aged ribeye soaked in beef tallow and butter, and oh boy was I in for a surprise. The crust, man, the crust was perfection. The steak was well-seasoned, tender, crunchy and it was every man’s steak heaven and I bathed in the light in all its glory. Hail thee, angels of meat, for thy have found the best steak in NYC. 5 stars and nothing less.
Rocco Steakhouse is a NYC staple. Great atmosphere, top notch professional service, and excellent steaks. We ordered the NY Strip, Surf n Turf and various sides, all excellent, and the sides are very large. Dessert is also on the house, a nice touch. A great restaurant for a special occasion or just a nice night out. The front bar is also a fun spot to enjoy an excellent martini.
Went here many times and will always recommend getting the porter house for two. The steak is the best steak I've ever had and the service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend celebrating a birthday here as they also serve this amazing chocolate and cheese cake dessert with fruits and whipped cream.
Rocco Steakhouse was one of the best places I dined while in New York. The entire experience was amazing. We were served by an amazing waiter. The time it took for the food to get to the table was negligible compared to other places. We got steak with mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms as sides. Desert, carrot cake was on the house. Waited 50+ minutes to be seated after arriving on time for a 7:30 pm reservation, along with 25-30 people who were also forced to wait despite being on time. Conveniently, we were all forced to wait next to their stand alone bar, which charges $25 at minimum for a single mixed drink. Staff was rude and I listed to the hostess tell 3 people who inquired about their table that they “were next”. They in fact, were not next. After finally being seated, the table service was awful. We were seated in a back corner of the restaurant. The waiters were constantly removing items from our table for other tables without saying a single word. The food was decent, but not nearly worth the hassle. The manager did give us a “complementary” dessert, which tasted like a store bought chocolate cake. Unless you enjoy poor service and mediocre food in retrospect, avoid this place like the plague.
