Opinions de Rosa’s Pizza New York
Busy place but service moved very quickly. Pizza was AMAZING!!! And I chose to add Mike's Hot Honey
First off: hats off to the reviewer who is incensed that the pizza crust has char on the bottom. You have successfully surprised me when I thought that I was beyond being surprised by the intelligence of the average human. I came here for one thing and one thing only. NY garlic knots. Somehow, a thing so simple yet so impossible for any other city to figure out. Maybe, just like the mythical NY bagel, it's the city water that is the secret ingredient. My diet switches from normal American trash diet to 92% garlic knots whenever I step foot in Manhattan. I've eaten a lot of knots. The knots here are SO good. They're perfect. Super soft and springy dough. Vampirically repulsive amounts of garlic. Tiny bits of parsley to get your serving of vegetables. Big container of watery mariana sauce that I never use and guiltily throw away but always forget to turn down when I'm at the cashier. Delicious. I miss them already. Please never change.
Really neat spot right in Penn station. It was the only Pizza place I could find open in the morning in midtown. Fortunately I got a slice of cheese pizza for $5 and it was huge. - like slightly bigger than Costco pizza. It’s really thin crust, but tasty all over. They heat it up for you, so it tastes pretty fresh. I loved it and suggest you stop by here if you’re at Penn Station and want some pizza.
This place gets a pass. It’s not my favorite pizza place by any stretch, But growing up I came here countless times (if I wasn’t running for a train) I always hoped we would have 15 mins before the lirr left so I could get a slice and was always pissed when we missed it (not much is worth an hour wait at 11pm when you work in the morning 😂). It still holds up as great pizza and still prefer it over most of the pizza on LI itself!
The people working for this pizza restaurant are very friendly. As I got off the amtrak train in early morning as 2:30 am. I want to eat and drink sth and use the bathroom as well. The store is clean and the employees are very friendly. They are trying to provide good service to any walk-in. It is located on No. 425 33 st 7 avenues The manager Mina is so nice he is smiling at people all the time . Hopefully, they can have more and more businesses as they deserve that. I am a person following the words of truthfulness. Compassionate and tolerance. I trust good deeds deserve return. Best wishes to Mr. MINA ( STORE MANAGER) FROM Jing a walk-in client with appreciated heart and practices the principles of sincere. Kindness and endurance.
Visited New York City for the first time ever and went into the pizza shop with my family around 10:30pm after walking around all day and after getting soaked from the rain. The best pizza I have ever had in my life!!! So flavorful, greasy and cheesy. Their customer service was also really good! We traveled all the way across the country without knowing we would all have the best pizza ever. It was so good we had to go back a second time before we left. Will definitely be going back in the future!! 💯💯
This has become one of my favorite Pizzaria's in the Midtown Area. I tried alot of them and I enjoy the pizza and rolls here the most. The Chicken and Pepperoni Rolls are $7.75. the special slices vary from $4 to $4.75. I like the Buffalo Chicken Slice but my new fave has become Chicken Parmesan Slice. The Silcian is one of my faves also. They have a Red Silcian but the White one is the go to. The 1st Floor seating is usually crowded but they have a 2nd floor with a Big AC that cools down the 2nd floor. So the 2nd floor is the go to spot for me and it's usually empty since everyone sits downstairs. There is a Bathroom downstairs and one upstairs as well. Definitely worth the visit if your in the Area. They also serve Beer.
I love that Rose’s is open so late. The pizza is usually pretty fresh because they are always busy. I’d stick with the popular choices to be safe. Some menu items look like they have been sitting around for a while. You will be surprised at how good a plain slice of cheese ($4.10) pizza tastes. You really don’t need any of the fancy stuff. Great place to go when waiting for a train at Penn Station.
I love this place as I’ve been coming here for years. I remember it as far back as when it was where Duane Reade is now. The girls that sold beer used to know me by name. After they close for construction, it’s changed. And of course it has but what pissed me off is this. When you pay for your beer with a card, it takes a long time for the tip screen to come on. I only realize that when I went to pay and it was asking for a tip when I didn’t swipe my card yet. Anyway, I clicked skipped and waited for the screen to clear to pay. I like to give my tip in cash so that’s what I did. After I swiped my card, I wanted to wait for the tip screen to come on and the lady that sells the beer said, “don’t worry, you can go.” But the tip screen hadn’t come on yet and there was someone right behind me. Knowing this, I stepped to the side and waited. After a good 30-45 secs, the tip screen for MY CARD came on. I asked the guy to press skip for me and left. Here’s my thing, people can either be pressing it without realizing that they didn’t swipe yet or the people that sell the beer can be pressing it themselves. I’m not trying to say they are doing it, but it’s a possibility. I don’t trust people to press skip for me, so please fix it. Also, please tip the ladies serving the beer. I have nothing against them, but she should at least let people know to wait until the tip screen comes in. Might get her a bigger tip, I know I would have.
🍕🚉🍕 This place definitely earns its claim to fame as a highly regarded Penn Station pizzeria. The food is fresh and warm, but honestly, so are plenty of other spots nearby. What really sets this place apart is its commuter-friendly setup and prideful service. They make it easy for you to grab a slice on the go, and that personal touch alone is worth a stop.
This wonderful location is right by Madison square garden and is open past 3:00 a.m. the guys working there are really friendly and the pizzas are quite good. I would recommend asking them to heat your pizza a little longer than they normally do just so that the cheese, which is piled fairly thickly, completely melts. They also have soda on draft and I tried four different styles of pizza and they were all delicious. There are constantly people coming into this restaurant day and night so it has to be good, right? Trust me. It's not the best pie in New York City but it is definitely a good pizza.
Not too shabby. Above average pizza for $3.50 regular slice & $4.50 topping slice, tax extra. I prefer the authentic pizza spots where you pay what you see on the menu, tax inclusive. 3% surcharge for credit cards. $9.50 for 20 oz Allagash white on tap. Drinking beer out of a plastic cup just ruins the vibe. The plus is this is right across from Penn Station LIRR. Better to wait here than standing underground…
Came in for 2 slices. A neopolitan and square Sicilian. Neo was ok sauce very sweet. Square had raw dough. Brought it back asking for replacement. Cashier who id self as manager was argumentative with me. I requested refund instead. He gave me my money back. Won't go back.
I went in the bathroom was disgusting. And the guys at the front were extremely rude they were very arrogant and disrespectful. I ordered some pizza to go and the guy at the front was very rude he literally threw the pizza at me and then spoke his language to the guy at the register who was also very rude. I will never come again or recommend anyone to to go here. They are disgusting humans and dont deserve our business
Ordered a pepperoni grandma, and 3 plain slices, 6.50 each, total was 27.39. They told us our "plain slice" was a vodka slice and its 6.50, wasnt trying to cause a scene or nothing but never going back, they over charged me intentionally and i dont appreciate that because when I asked to clarify they double downed. 0 vodka sauce to be found, still waiting. I dont know if it was cause i was an immigrant but never going back, there's better places to get pizza in the city anyway.
