My go-to for lunch in Midtown. They offer so many different options and most of them are very flavorful and healthy. The salads are made very well. Fresh ingredients and balanced perfectly.

As Australians, we were made to feel very welcome here and thus returned for breakfast every day over the 7 days we were in NYC. Food was fantasic! Try it for yourself it is one of the best!

Cute little place for breakfast. After passing a couple of bagley places with very long lines, this was a great place to stop. Line not very long g and fast, few seats and tables down stairs, but lots more seating up stairs. Everything bagley and croissant sandwiches were fabulous. Highly recommend this place. As good as breakfast was, I'm sure lunch is great too. So glad we stopped here.

This is the best breakfast, lunch and dinner. I eat everything from here. If u want home cooked food with a lil twist then definitely come here. You won’t regret it. I order the waffles with fruit and I luv it so much. The staff are very helpful and I know all their names by heart. They have outside dining now and I luv that they treat u like family. Great food and great people who work there. The food is always fresh. Great place for breakfast and lunch and the place is always super clean. As I work nearby I have become a regular and have tried a bunch of things from their soups, salads, sandwiches to their quinoa bowls and market plates which is more akin to a three-option meal (carb, protein, veggie). Definitely a variety of options with offerings for vegetarians and healthy diets as well. The people are also very attentive and on point and they are just genuinely friendly which is really nice to experience. Their customer service is on point.

Great spot - we had the create your own omelet. Plenty of items to choose from, clean place and friendly staff. We also had a bagel, which was real good. Will certainly be back. (Did not try any coffee - But didn't look like they had specialty coffee)

Good spot for good bagels and all things breakfast and lunch. Some seating downstairs and lots more upstairs. Just head to the back and look for the stairs. Great for groups. Im in this area often and always surprised how long the lines are for bagel shops near here, so come inside and enjoy a nice vibe with good food. I prefer Brooklyn Bagel and NYC Bagel and Coffee better (bigger and chewier), but thesr are hand rolled so that's always a good sign of a good classic NYC Bagel. Google says it's closed on Saturdays, so unless something is really wrong with me I'm enjoying a bagel right now. 😂 I notified the place to let them know I attempted to update the hours but they should also update it. Enjoy!

Awesome food !!!, When the place across the street was so busy :/ , I noticed that this place offers not just bagels but a plenty of other tasty treats , from croissants to sandwiches and pastries . My family and I decided to try it out and was amazed by the service especially the accomodations for my little 4 yr old girl( really picky ) . The crossaint cheese and egg sandwich was flakey and hot with my perfectly crafted house blend hot coffee ( the team helped create a blend based on my profile ) .

The pasta and the quinoa bowls are actually for a reasonable price (cheaper than other options) It’s a big portion and tasty, healthy food. Servers are friendly and customize your food.

It is Christmas today and it is raining. But this place is open and has great pancakes and a delicious croissant full of cream in the inside. Also staff is very kind.

Go to Market crates, instead of Liberty and Best Bagels, just a couple of doors down and so glad we did! There was a little bit of a line inside but it moved pretty quick, unlike the other 2 places with lines out the door in the freezing cold! The service was excellent as they were very welcoming and explaining all the food to us and giving us samples if we wanted to try anything and so helpful! My daughter got a regular bagel with cream cheese. I created an omelette which was vegetarian and got a soup, everything was under $21 with tax! I would highly recommend this place!

Very friendly staff. The oatmeal should not be overlooked. You get three toppings & it is very filling! This is our second time stopping in for a quick bagel & coffee in the morning. If there is a line, it moves very fast thanks to the very hard working & nice staff.

Finally found a great go-to health conscious quick-serve restaurant in New York City. Enjoyed a very healthy lunch of delicious wild salmon served on a bed of brown rice, carrots and broccoli and the most amazing Coconut Chia Pudding ever! Friendly and helpful staff, a massive array of delicious food options, perfectly tailored to your taste buds and health goals. Market Crates is definitely the place to go!

Super cute breakfast shop! Many different bakery items and drinks to choose from. It’s less than $10 for a single person’s order, a drink and food. There’s a large atmosphere with wonderful seating options. There was also a private bathroom upstairs, a single stall that was very clean. And I appreciated the friendliness of the workers, come check it out!! ❤️

The price was reasonable, comparatively. And the food was good. Will consider it a choice for another visit to NYC.

A really nice place for breakfast and a pastry. We had breakfast here as it was close to our hotel then later had a coffee and pastry. The salads look amazing as well. The staff were quick and the food was really good. Its tucked away among other bagel shops but its worth seeking out. The prices are reasonable and there is free WiFi.

My hotel (Henn Na Hotel across the street) did not offer breakfast, but the Market Crate took care of that. Great offer, delicious croissants, bagels, coffee, juices, etc. It became a loved morning routine for me and my family. Friendly and always helpful staff. Highly recommended. 👍🏻

TL;DR - Fine choice of breakfast spots to start your day w/the healthy options and soft ambiance from a welcoming staff. 1st things first...the lighting! That's right, the lighting. The interior design of this place is clearly intentional. Opening at 6am to guests that absolutely don't want florescent 7000K or higher cold 🥶 white lights burning their eye sockets dry, they went with the natural spectrum of Edison bulbs in the main dining area and similar over the line. Low Wattage White bulbs in the right places like over the menu and in the dark corner of the store. Advertising local greens on top of colorful "Toss-ins" and Organic coffee (which turned out delicious and reasonably priced for my plate) I was very pleased. 5/5 would recommend

Extraordinarily lovely restaurant! Went out to breakfast with some friends, there were tons of bakery, bagels, and sandwich options to choose from. There was a huge upstairs seating area, a squeaky clean bathroom and joyful jazzy music. And to top it all off, the staff were extremely pleasant and enthusiastic. The perfect breakfast spot.

We only managed to try three bagel places in NYC but this was by far the best. Fresh bread and delicious cream cheese. Good coffee as well! I was very interested in the other breakfasts like oatmeal. They also offer salad and warm lunch alternatives. Seating area is fulfilling. Friendly staff! The price is good!

The staff are all so helpful and nice! It’s a great place for a quick lunch. I usually get their goat cheese and herb quiche. But I also love their Brussel sprouts! And excellent salad bar. They also have a few pastries. The custard filled almond croissant is insane! Highly recommend🥐

First visit here, and just by luck because restaurant we sought was closed, provides us a memorable meal experience. All at very reasonable prices, and all with very healthy lifestyle food choices . In our photos you can see all the menu choices. We ordered two different omelettes, cappuccino, regular coffee, a cappuccino muffin, and whole toast. Remarkable how good both coffees were. Just for having baby spinach and baby arugula for us to include with any food makes us love this cafe. We'll be back here as often as we can. We could live just with salad bar's offerings and the coffees. The great selection of baked good is worth the visit here.

I come here for my morning coffee and muffin. Everyone that works here is extremely nice and helpful, and I usually exit the doors smiling. I don't know what it is about the cups and lids, though, because more often than not my coffee starts dripping through a gap between the cup and cap and I start spilling cafe con leche on the street, into the lobby of my work, and the elevator. I do my best to place my muffin below to try and soak it up, but I'd rather not worry about it in the first place. This has been the main reason I pick one place over another, because even if I leave smiling it is quickly wiped away by the performance of their cups and lids. TLDR: nice staff and tasty muffins, bad coffee cup lids. Edit: I still believe that the problem lies solely with the choice of coffee cup lids by Graphic Packaging, but I have never had an issue when provided with the 'peel' lids. The 'pucker' or 'traveler' lids are garbage - way too flimsy. Since I got a 'peel' lid today, all went fine and I changed the review from 3 to 4.

Fresh and healthy choices for breakfast and lunch. Although I was not too keen on the cleanliness of the staff. More specifically I noticed on 2 occassions...staff members cleaning table, counter, then preparing/handling food using same cloves.

Had a cheese and egg bagel and an avocado toast. The quality was good, the food just missed the 'spark' for me. But solid option overall.

It's very clean and has good variety of food whether you're vegan or not it's a wonderful place to eat, with charging port stations just behind your seating which is very convenient. Breakfast sandwiches so good! Had California sandwich and lox bagel. The location is excellent right around the hotels and stuff. Food was fresh. Bagel lox is 5 star. It took me a sec to wrap my brain around the flavors of the California. Almost reminded me of sushi(?), idk still very good and would dine here again. Thanks!

The staff here is friendly and service is quick. The coffee was pretty good as well. But I came for a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and bacon. The roll was only decent, the egg was scrambled not fried, and the bacon was too long and big. The bacon came out of the sandwich in chunks instead of with each bite. If it wasn't for the clean store and friendly staff this place wouldn't have been worth it. It might have good food outside of the egg sandwiches.

Newly opened just for one day. Nice and friendly spot for breakfast and quick drinks. Great deal this week : 3 usd for breakfast and 6 usd for lunch.

We stopped in and grabbed some of the pastries near the door. The staff was super friendly, and all the food looked great. Unfortunately, the red velvet cake was near flavorless and had an odd gummy consistency for the frosting. The caramel cake was little better with an odd taste, like unpleasant tap water, coming through. They were the only things we had, so I couldn't speak to anything else on the menu. Other reviewers seemed to enjoy the bagels. Perhaps we should've gone that route as well.

Disappointing. The bagel with eggs I had was cold and eggs undercooked. The coffee is terrible. I asked for an americano and they gave me a coffee with muddy texture with sediments. I had to throw away the bagel because it did not even smell fresh.

I was very confused by the time I left this place. They have a great menu, some great options and some people who work there preparing the food who I believe really like their jobs. However, the cashier was another thing all together. She pretended to not understand that she was overcharging me for certain items and refuse to listen to my explanation. Thankfully, there was a manager nearby, who understood what I was saying. Even he had a difficult time explaining how to make the correction to her. I paid my bill, and I had one last surprise. No one mentioned that there will be a surcharge for using a credit card. I had the cash and if I had known about the surcharge, I would have used the cash. Between the misunderstanding and the flies and the nats, it was rough.

Food and service good but work time is wrong. I stopped by at 6:15pm and the door was already locked, if you plan stop around 6:30/6:45pm you won’t buy a food.

DON'T LET THE OWNER SERVE YOU!! AS HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING!! The employees are the only reason people should buy from here. The only reason the business is sucesssful it's because the employees friendly AND KNOW WHAT THEY'RE. I WILL NEVER RETURN AND WOULD RATHER GO THE COFFEE SHOP ACROSS THE STREET!! AT LEAST THE OWNER THERE KNOW HOW TO MAKE POT OF COFFEE.

I don't recommend this place to any one. The food quality is so bad, plus is it too expensive compared to other places.

There was a piece of glass in my girlfriends salad! This is unacceptable! All they gave her was a refund for the food purchased! This is a major health and safety violation and this place should be shut down! Imagine if she didn't find it and ate it? imagine the injury she could have suffered? imagine if a toddler or child ate that piece of glass! This place should be shut down immediately and should receive an F Grade from the Health Inspection department! We are considering taking them to court!

There is no allergen info available on the website so I emailed and received this response: "we don’t have  a specific allergen menu ,but  you can just let us know what do you want and will make it ." (All punctuation and grammatical errors are theirs.) They have no idea what they are doing so avoid if you have any dietary restrictions!

One of the worst coffees I have ever had. It was boiling hot and tasted like almond milk, despite ordering regular milk. They seemed annoyed when I questioned this and uninterested to resolve. I had a few sips and had to throw it away.

The food was good, but I will never come to this place again! Roxanna was extremely rude, my mom needed toilet paper for the bathroom and she told me to use the cardboard because they were going to close soon and she wasn’t going to stop cleaning to grab toilet paper. I am disgusted by her suggestion to use the card board. The taller , gray haired man thought the situation was funny.

Today I stood in line and saw how an adult cashier, who seemed to be Mexican or Spanish, stirred a cold drink with her finger. Then she wiped her hand on her pants. And before that, she took money with these hands. She wore gloves, but that only protected her. Initially, she was not at all friendly, she didn’t even say hello back or smile. Not with me, not with others. This is of course not a problem, but what she did is very bad! I hope she doesn’t make preparations for salads; it’s scary to eat when you see such unscrupulous people working with food. If we don't all take care of each other together, we will get another pandemic. Administration please pay attention to this. How can this be allowed?? I saw a lot of cameras there. Check your people, after all, we bring you our money and trust you with our health. Thanks.

I was waiting in line for a bagel and the worker decided that the girl behind me took priority over me and preceded to ignore me and take her order even when she said I was here first. My friend said bagels were mediocre.

I contacted the manager before posting this, but as he has not got back to me I will have to warn the masses. As you'll see in the photo, I purchased the Bistro Salad which was advertised for $10.49. When I got to the checkout, the lady at the counter charged me $12.99 and a credit card fee which I noticed on a display near the cash register. I understand the card surcharge, everywhere seems to be doing it these days, but I couldn't understand how my total came to $14.63 when the salad was $10.49. The lady informed me that there are new prices and she apologized. I didn't want to get into it over $2.50, but to be honest I feel ripped off. For one, advertising it as $10.49 is wrong and quite frankly, it is false advertising. She should have charged me what it was marked as.

Not coming back. The place felt kinda dirty, and the manager was straight-up aggressive with the staff. Really uncomfortable to watch.

I visited this place today Saturday the  7 of Mach and I had a very disappointing experience at this deli because of the cashier’s attitude. She seems to be an African American woman working the register was extremely rude when speaking to customers. Instead of greeting people politely or showing basic courtesy, she spoke in a harsh and impatient tone. It felt like she was annoyed that customers were even there. Customer service is a big part of any food business, and unfortunately this cashier made the environment uncomfortable. A simple smile or polite response would make a big difference, but that was completely missing. The only positive part of my visit was the young Mexican guy who prepares the hotcakes, pasta and sandwiches. He was excellent, very kind, and clearly cares about providing good service. People seemed genuinely happy with him and the way he treats customers. Sadly, even with someone like him doing such a great job, the attitude of cashiers like this really ruins the experience. Because of that, I will probably never return to this place.
