Great, friendly service! Cozy atmosphere. HUGE portions!!! The french fries are delicious & the fried fish is divine. The grilled salmon salad was perfect & a lot more filling than you’d expect. Irish coffee was hot & strong!

Ro is amazing 100/10 and the chicken ceasar salad is our all time favorite, we come every year and she treats us like family! She will be so missed when she retires as she is the entire spirit of the pub!!! We love you Ro ❤️

Stumbled in on a lazy Sunday afternoon and was greeted delightfully by a bartender who introduced herself as “Ro” with a lovely Irish accent. Had a few pints of Guinesss with a corned beef sandwich which hit the spot. Ro was awesome and a great conversationalist! Will be back. Highly recommend for a low key, but lovely NYC bar experience!

Great place, good food and drinks (20oz vs 16!). I had the curry, tasted home made, and everything was just a real local feel. Doesn't matter where you are from, they will show you old school hospitality, from the bouncer to the bartender to the service. I'll be back, happily between 10-1 for the live music, or anytime!

BEST GUINNESS POUR IN NYC HANDS DOWN Believe me we searched. You know you’ve reached the right place for a pint when the Irish accents outnumber the rest. We were in the area for about a week and stopped for a pint of Guinness wherever it presented itself. Many decent pints in the city. This one is the clear winner. Lucky to have Scallywags around the corner from our hotel and able to repeat often throughout our stay. Comfortable pub feel, impeccably clean lines, sparkling, cold glasses and welcoming bartenders who take care in handing out a proper pour and making you feel, honestly, at home. (Ro and Cathryn are absolute assets!) $10 *imperial* pints all day. None of the 16oz glasses being handed out for more elsewhere. Stop by. Your expectations will be exceeded.

Best bar in New York City. Fair drinks prices, strong pours, and every dish is amazing. I’ve been coming here for 6 years on work trips and I’ve never had a bad experience. The live music after 10pm is always top notch as well.

This was a great little place. It was pretty busy when we walked in but we were seated at the bar immediately. (By the very cheerful owner, we later found out)The bartender, Catherine, was wonderful. Friendly, great service, quick witted and made a killer drink. We stayed for 3 more and had some nachos while we visited. They were very good. Next time we visit the city, I'm going back to this place. We had a great time with very reasonable. prices.

What truly sets Scally Wags apart is their commitment to quality and authenticity. Each dish is prepared with care, using fresh ingredients that elevate the dining experience. The drink selection is equally impressive, featuring a wide range of Irish whiskeys and perfectly poured pints of Guinness. We were both excited to see that they had Harp on draft. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal with friends or a cozy date night, Scally Wags New York delivers an unforgettable dining experience. The blend of great food, excellent service, and charming ambiance makes it a standout spot in the city. We watched the Euro cup and there were two different TVs on both sides where everyone could watch. This place is highly recommended! Make sure you go see Cathy as she is a wonderful, caring person that took such great care of us!!

I am one that absolutely love irish pubs and this place is truly exceptional. My server/bartender Catherine was friendly and in spite of being busy was very attentive. My food came out fast and everything tasted great. The burger I ordered was cooked to my liking and the fries had the perfect amount of salt on them. The establishment is very clean. They have a pretty decent menu with reasonable prices. Since I work closeby I will definitely stop by again in the future.

I've been living a few blocks away from this place for 7 years but never stopped in until this weekend. Wonderful atmosphere, incredible service by the absolute friendliest staff, and the owner even stopped by to check in on us! We got 2 full Irish breakfasts and a pint of Guinness. The food was delicious, and the Guinness was poured perfectly. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because the eggs we ordered with the full Irish breakfasts did not have any yolks in them at all. Each breakfast was supposed to come with 2 eggs, and we ordered them over-easy and sunny-side up, but there were only egg whites for all four eggs. I assume it was just a fluke or the egg shortage has gotten worse. But would like to return!

Nice Irish bar with a good atmosphere and very friendly/attentive staff. Has good quality live music too. However, prices are on the expensive side; ~$40 including tax/tip for 3 pints feels like a lot, even considering the location (the same round at the closest bar is only $30) especially when all of the drinks were flat. Decent place to pop into but won't necessarily be visiting again.

Food and drinks were good. The Sweet potato fries were excellent! Nice spot to hangout for a quick get together. Service could have been better as I had some issues with the waitress that didn't like ketchup being self served. Location maybe a bit small and cramped for some though. The place does have multiple Tvs for sports entertainment.

We came here because we were craving chicken wings, and I have to say the food did not disappoint. The wings were flavorful and cooked well, and the drinks were also good. From a food standpoint, we left satisfied. Unfortunately, the service completely changed the experience for us. Our server repeatedly forgot parts of our order, and when the food finally came out, he called out the items in a tone that felt more like taking school attendance than serving guests. He seemed distracted, unfocused, and in a constant rush — pressuring us to order quickly and eat quickly. At one point, he touched tables and cups that were still in use, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were also automatically charged gratuity, and less than two minutes after we paid, we were asked to leave. It felt rushed and impersonal. We tried to split the checked at the end but the server said it was not possible unless it was really necessary which we found odd. Very disappointing. It’s disappointing because the food and drinks were good, but the service was honestly the worst I’ve experienced in the city. Specially when we were just happened to be celebrating two birthdays. I hope management addresses this, because the kitchen is doing a good job — the front-of-house experience just doesn’t match it very disappointing and the service that I don’t recommend it at all.
