We hosted our engagement party at Sunday's Well, and it was absolutely seamless from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the service was top-notch. Everything—from the food and drinks to the overall vibe—was perfect, making it an unforgettable night for us and our guests. The team made the entire planning process stress-free, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. We would 100% host an event here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic spot in NYC. Thank you, Sunday's Well, for making our special night even more special!

All of Sunday is Happy hour. Nice ambience with ample indoor and outdoor seating, great food, music that isn't too loud allowing you to hear one another, and according to my friends good cocktails. The fish tacos and their fries with the in- house sauce were really good. The wine and cocktail collection has about 8-10 options each (mostly $12-$14). Draft also has 10 options ($5-$8). Food prices are decent for the amount of food you get.

Such a lovely spot & hidden gem! Fantastic happy hour. Backyard patio is very pleasant & loved the bulb lights. Only got the fries but they were SO GOOD!

We hosted a surprise engagement party in the back room private bar and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. The food and drinks were fantastic and the service was excellent. The manager Jess was great and made sure everything went smoothly and the bartender Richie was very impressive servicing 40 people on his own. Thanks again to Greg and the team as they made our night truly special.

Came for happy hour at 5:30 on a Tuesday evening. The place was on the quiet side (but definitely not empty). Two of us easily got a table. Service was attentive and not overbearing. Happy hour was excellent ($10 for a couple wine options—including an orange wine!). By the time we left an hour later, the place was starting to fill up. Highly recommend for an early happy hour drink (until 7pm!).

First time here but had a great time! The place has a cozy atmosphere and the service was very friendly and attentive. Our bartender Shaine made the best pickle martini for me! I never had to wait long to order between drinks at all. My husband really enjoyed his tomato and burrata salad. 10/10 would recommend, and we will certainly be back!

Great place for happy hour! They don’t have a ton of vegan options but the server was really helpful and pointed out that the hummus, fries and the veggie blt (omit mayo) are vegan! The blt is made with tempeh! You can also sub the burger patty for an impossible burger, I believe. I got the fries and hummus because I was just snacking for happy hour before dinner. The hummus wasn’t super hummus-y. Definitely heavy on the green goddess, but the fries were fab - so crispy! Just don’t get/eat the aioli the fries come with tho! Drinks were great - I got a bourbon drink that was a great price on the happy hour and it was delicious! Sorry, forgot to take a picture 🫠 Overall, decent experience for drinks/snacks but they could really have vegan mayo to make the blt fully vegan. Service was great though. We were a pretty big group and our server was very sweet, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive! It was busy on a Friday night for happy hour, so def recommend a reservation!

Nice bar with a spacious patio in the back. Went there for happy hour with work colleagues. French fries were ok as well as the fried cauliflower. The B-side cocktail had an odd aftertaste which I would not recommend.

Had the paper plane cocktail and the crispy fish tacos. Pretty standard, but I have a bias for fish tacos, so standard fish tacos are 4 ⭐ by default in my book. Minor knock is that the slaw, mayo, and relish together were a little strong and kind of overwhelmed the fish. Why is it so dark? I get it, but I also don't get it 🤣 low light has its merits, but this was super dark 😄 (the camera make the photos/videos look brighter than the lighting in reality)

I went to Sundays Well for their Monday Funday. All the specialty drinks are $10 all day and the burger, caesar salad and hush puppies are also $10. Everything else on the menu is reasonable priced if you aren't feeling those options. The vibe is nice. The back courtyard is really cool. The service was excellent. The drinks were yummy. The food for most part was delicious with good portions. The burger was excellent with those caramelized onions. The mac and cheese with spinach and bacon was drool worthy. Fries were perfect. The hush puppies were good but not as sweet as I thought they would be and a little burnt. The hot popcorn chicken was the only thing I didn't like. It had absolutely no flavor. I was confused because everything else was so flavorful. I'm hoping it was just a one off. Overall I will definitely becoming back here.

Really cute spot! I went with some work friends for happy hour and Jaida the server was so sweet! The food and drinks were really yummy - will definitely come back again. I do want to note though that we were sat at a long table and without even really asking, the host sat another group like a foot away from us at the same table. Just a little weird.

Nice bar, great location. My daughter had reserved space for her 30th birthday celebration and we got the exclusive use of the back bar area, all she had to do is guarantee a certain amount of money to be consumed by the party participants (everyone pays their own tab, sales are combined for this purpose) The barkeep that was assigned was just awesome! For the party goers he was really the face of the bar and he delivered. Very polite, very quick (he got to concentr only on our orders) really friendly ... Just what everyone would want staffing a bar. Food was decent, we did order some stuff and it was good, they also let us bring in birthday cake. There is an outside sitting area behind the space we used and I was afraid that traffic back-and-forth might impact the party, but it was really a non-issue. Would go again, can definitely recommend.

Menu clearly indicates that happy hour is ALL day Sunday, but waitstaff says it starts after 3pm. Also asked the quantity that the chicken and waffles bring, and was told "there's no set quantity." Does that mean they serve random amounts of chicken and waffles per order while charging everyone same price? The chicken and waffles itself looks and tastes good, but for $20 I would have expected at least 50% more at the same quality. Seems like the pricing of this place goes mostly towards paying the rent for its vibe. Waitstaff is kind, but not too sharp. At the very least I was allowed to order happy hour for myself even though my guest didnt, which is rare at these places. We were seated underneath a vent, and when it turned on some strange debris vibrated from the vents onto our food and we had to get the food to go. Worth rolling the dice I guess? Not sure if I'd ever come here again unless its in the area.

The Palomas were excellent — easily the highlight. Unfortunately, service and food quality fell short. After accidentally knocking over a drink, we realized we had no utensils or napkins and struggled to get our server’s attention as she focused mainly on a larger party. I eventually had to go inside to ask for help. The waitress brought a rag but set it down, and walked away without offering to assist in cleaning up. When the food arrived (thanks to a very helpful runner), the burger ordered medium was well-done, and the Shakshuka eggs were severely undercooked. Our server was understanding and took the Shakshuka off the bill, and even discounted the burger despite us agreeing to just share that instead but overall the experience was disappointing. I understand staff can sometimes be stretched thin, but given how many great spots are nearby, we’ll likely stick to more reliable options in the future.
