Excellent Service at Teng Dragon A Major Improvement! I started coming to Teng Dragon after having a bad experience with the restaurant across the street, Good Taste. The delivery person there was always angry and seemed to make his job harder by using a regular bike instead of an e-bike. He would take out his frustration on customers who didn’t come down immediately when he called, yet when he was late, it was never an issue. His behavior made me wonder about his home life, as he seemed to carry his anger beyond just work. I understand that Chinese culture values discipline and hard work, but his attitude went beyond strictness—it felt personal. At times, I even got the sense that he was jealous of me simply for being friendly with his wife and engaging in conversation while learning the language. When he tried to argue and justify his poor work ethic, especially in handling deliveries, I knew it was time for a change. That’s when I switched to Teng Dragon, and the difference has been night and day. Here, I’m treated fairly, the service is reliable, and the staff is always professional. I highly recommend Teng Dragon over Good Taste for anyone looking for great food and respectful service! Why This Matters: A Powerful Example Imagine this: You’ve had a long day at work, and all you want is a hot meal delivered to your door. You place an order, expecting a smooth experience, but instead, the delivery person arrives in a foul mood. He aggressively calls you to come downstairs immediately, and when you take a minute longer than he likes, he lashes out, complaining as if you’ve done something wrong. Now, flip the scenario. Suppose the roles are reversed he’s late with your food. But when you express frustration, he shrugs it off, showing zero accountability. This imbalance in treatment isn’t just unprofessional it’s a red flag. It reflects a deeper issue: a lack of respect for customers and an inability to handle the pressures of the job properly now imagine us doing that in his country wouldn’t go well obviously. In contrast, when you switch to a restaurant like Teng Dragon, the experience is entirely different. The staff treats you with respect, values your time, and ensures your order arrives promptly and professionally. You don’t have to deal with hostility or one-sided expectations. Instead, you get what you paid for good food and good service. This scenario highlights why choosing where you spend your money matters. Supporting businesses that value their customers creates a better experience for everyone, while refusing to tolerate poor service holds businesses accountable. Respect should always go both ways, and no one should have to deal with unnecessary hostility when all they want is a meal we all have bad days we can’t take it out on eachother.
This is my favorite chinese takeout, not just for me personally but also my parents enjoy the food. We always order our usual, the pork fried rice tastes amazing and the chicken lo mein is always on point. I tend to order online, transaction is quick and simple and delivery takes up to 30 minutes or so. I get my order as I've placed, sometimes I've had missing items and when I called them up they were helpful and immediately send in the missing item. It's understandable that sometimes they forget but what I do like is that they are willing to fix the issue. I've been ordering from here for a couple of months, have not had a major issue with them. I will continue to support them.
Food is great I love it here this the best Chinese spot inna block ,,…you guys usually fast quick always hook it up already know my address but today you guys took super long and my food came cold imma come in and get a Bev For FREE 😉thank you I’ll keep coming back ……
Glad I decided to try this place regardless of the reviews and rating because it was fresh, fast, and delicious. Dumplings were really good. I have found my new local chinese spot.
I go to this place at least once a week. The food is always delicious and the wait time is so short. General tsos chicken is so fire. I will forever come back 🥹
Their food was so so good. There’s a lot of good but not great restaurants around where I live and I was blown away by this place. Their dumplings were thick but not gummy and the noodles were just awesome. I’d order here everyday if I wasn’t trying to order less takeout.
Food is great I recommend

Got 2 orders here one was chicken wings with pork fried rice and the other Spare Ribs with pork fried rice. The rice was good had a lot of soft pork pieces and lots of onions and sprouts which I requested. The chicken wings taste like many of NYC Chinese restaurants so were tasty! The ribs were surprisingly soft and also tasty. The lady that takes your order was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and decent for a takeout spot.

The wait wasn’t long, decent prices, I have a cold but my mixed egg drop soup wasn’t right, the eggs here has dark spots on some, why?

Whenever I order food from here, it’s rare I’ve been disappointed. BUT over the years, the owner has changed how orders over the phone are made. Now an outside company takes the orders over the phone and you can tell some of these reps don’t understand English completely or simply don’t understand what you want to order. It’s also happened a couple of times where they say I have to spend $15 or more over the phone for debit card transactions but then the workers at the actual location simply say that they have to add on a tax charge for using the card so in reality it’s only $1 and change added on to whatever your order’s fee is. I think the owner has to really explain to this phone company the rules and regulations and also just go back to the actual staff at the location taking the calls. I remember before this whole phone company took over the orders for this spot, ordering on the phone was way better and easier because the staff already knows what the people in this neighborhood like. Now if I ask a simple request such as adding a sauce to my chicken, the phone company reps tell me I have to do that myself…which can come off rude, considering if I’m paying for my food and request a simple extra step, just charge me for the effort of wanting my food cooked a certain way…. My family personally knows the owner - I haven’t seen him in a loooong time but if I do anytime soon I would love to tell him as a customer, I think these new changes just aren’t working. Overall the food is usually cooked very well compared to other spots and has a lot of flavor. This place gets packed and super busy on certain days too. Sometimes ordering earlier is better in terms of delivery timing and also avoiding your food having spills, since later hours is when everyone is ordering - especially on weekends.

I have ordered from here a few times. Each time its mediocre. Today I ordered house special low mein and there was a long hair in it. I did tell the restaurant so they can hopefully be more mindful of how the prepare their food. I won’t be ordering anymore.

This place over charges if you use your debit card and don't even inform you.
I would place a zero on service, I ordered two hours before closing and they never brung my order. I fell asleep and they were closed in the am I called and was told they were busy and forgot no accommodation nothing customer service is bad and I order from here at least twice a week.
Very very bad service, fried rice doesn't have any taste like it's Chinese,it was a woman prepared it + they have a sign on the window that says that they charge $3.50 when purchase made with credit cards, in which it's .Illegal according to NY STATE law section 518 generay business says no business should. Food there taste terrible, they need to hire a good cook. Won't go there anymore.
Terrible food, awful service. Even the complimentary crispy noodles were stale and inedible. I have had food from here before, and while in the past it has been mediocre at best, it has now gone to something I would return (if that was an option), or throw in the garbage. Absolutely disgusting.
Strange experience yesterday afternoon. I was told there was a minimum of $15 I had to spend to be able to purchase food with my debit card. They told me to use the atm I said no because there are fees and they laughed and had an attitude. I saw there was a Grubhub sign so instead of spending $15 when I wanted a small order I did Grubhub pickup. Then they proceeded again with an attitude about it. There customer service skills are incredibly poor. Even before ordering there I saw them giving a group of kids a hard time. I will not be returning. I don’t understand why they would treat their customers like this.
If you’ve had a long day .Or simply don’t want to cook lunch/ dinner and you want to order something delicious or to your liking , it’s best you “don’t”order here !! Or go in person to have your order taking care of because no matter what time of the day if you call for a delivery it’s a issue Ive giving them more then one chance because things happen but they don’t care and they do not accommodate their customers unless your in their face . I’d honestly never order from her now or again
Worst service ever , If I had a choice , it would be something less than 1 star I ordered food from this place, when I got to my work location, I found that my order was wrong. I called, they said that the manager will have to call me back. I had to make 3 phone calls, the issue was not resolved, the only answer was ,my boss usually handles this and will give you a call . I left for the day, the only answer I received is the manager will give me a call!!!!Mind you, this is a small Chinese food store/ restaurant if that’s how they want to call it. My food was not replaced, No one came to pickup or give me my money back. Stayed that day without lunch waiting for the manager call!!! I consider this as the worst service ever, I will never recommend anyone to buy food from them, because if you get your order missed up, good luck getting it fix

This place is totally a hit or miss; depends on who’s in the kitchen the day you order. I’ve had both good and bad meals, mostly bad. This is the spot you order from when you’re starving, have no time and nothing else is open. Good luck.
