This place delivers an experience worth repeating as often as possible. The employees showed remarkable friendliness. theBoil caught my interest right away. Each meal provides excellent taste with fresh ingredients. After recently changing addresses, finding this restaurant was wonderful.

The food here was amazing packed with flavor and worth the drinks. Drinks were also super good and came in cute mason jars. To top it off Carmen was one of the best servers I had definitely 10/10. She was super friendly and inviting. Really made us feel welcomed. I will definitely come back here especially if she’s my waitress. 🎉🎉🎉

The seafood here is very good. They do it just right. Most seafood boil places over cook the seafood and the corn( you can tell by the pic below the corn is not over done). TheBoil did not. Everything was done perfectly and it tastes delicious 😋. Service was good. This place deserves a 5 star rating.

OMG!!! This is the best seafood boil ever! I even asked my BFF to eat here again before my flight. The seafood was huge and tasty! I love the sauce; it has the perfect taste I was looking for. I LOVE the boil! ❤️ I just had their live crawfish and it is to die for! Highly recommend doing a dry rub. It was so JUICY! You have to pair it with a nice crisp lager! ☺️ The music was on point and staff are friendly.

True true true quality seafood!! Excellent bar as well. Make sure to add the noodles to your bag of goodness! Let it soak the sauce up. Ate faster than. I could snap pics! Excellent outdoor seating. 👌 Well worth the visit and money! Attentive staff made everything seamless~

For people that like to drive to the city, there is plenty of street metered parking and free parking after 7pm and the best thing is very easy to get a parking spot. Now back to the restaurant. This place is awesome. I was only able to take few pics of the starter food before my hands got dirty. BUt i let me tell you the crab legs, shrimp and clams are delicious!!

First, I’m going to this location. We had the Queen’s combo with shrimp. It was very delicious, very flavorful. Our only critique was that we ordered the garlic bread and received hamburger buns with garlic and butter on it. We had to send it back because it didn’t taste like garlic bread and we also weren’t expecting it to be hamburger buns. Also, ordered the oysters, we thought that they would be on the Monday special, however, because it was a holiday they were a regular price. However, they’re very accommodating about it and they took it off of our tab. We also had the lemonade, which was also delicious! And a classic margarita.

The Boil is literally one of our group's go to spots! The food's great, the atmosphere and the service is quick and efficient.

I don’t like “sea food” or any kind of crab, lobster or food i have to fight to eat. i’m not into that. I can’t speak on the boils but the appetizers that i got were good to me. The BBQ shrimp was just ok i wouldnt get again. The catfish sliders were good. I enjoyed that. I don’t like how a sprite isn’t free refills that’s crazy. It’s 2025. We shouldn’t be getting less for what we pay for. That’s Absurd. The waitress was also lame. I asked her opinion on the other sliders and she would not give me her opinion. Are you ok? Either way i’m happy with my food. Ill come again in the distant future

Best value and flavor: headless shrimp(more fresh). Snow crab and dungeness crab are merely fine. If you love spicy order at fire(pretty spicy//numb tongue) or spicy(mild level spicy). Fried calamaris good. Oyster is okay happy hour price a dozen for $15.

Went during closing time so in all fairness not the best time BUT the food was a bit oily which isn’t my cup of tea . The appetizers were tasty and well per portioned along with healthy size refreshments. The drinks on the other hands were awful tasted like pre mix which I certainly don’t expect when paying average NYC cocktail price or at a restaurant for that matter . The place is casual , family’s friendly and only major inconvenience is CASH ONLY. My distaste in service wasn’t primarily our waitress she was quite patient and kind . Very welcoming and attentive which always goes along way no matter where you visit . They began cleaning using harsh chemicals that disrupted my stomach and head while eating so that disruption and the gentleman came to the table offering are drinks to go and claimed since Covid they could but we were welcome to stay well upon turning off the lights we didn’t feel that was the case so we departed out of consideration granted we didn’t parlay our meal whatsoever by it was just the scenario that took course without the time of arrival being 9:38pm. Overall it was ok , the garlic bread was presented quite underwhelming as it was garlic spread on what appeared to be hamburger buns ($5) and the additional that would typically be apart of the boil from experience were averaged at 7$ + which I view pricy at that quality . I wouldn’t return but I wouldn’t bash them, decent food food location.

Do not come here for happy hour oysters! The oysters were small, tasted not super fresh, and in general were not great. I really liked their happy hour margarita though. Fried calamari was also pretty good. I also tried the mussels seafood boil, lobster roll, and soft shell crab basket on another occasion, thought everything was ok but nothing exceptional. Note that they are cash only.

I love the decor and the staff is very friendly and helpful. What I didn't like at all its that they don't accept any kind of cards it a Cash only! Are you for real in this time of age? The prices are affordable and the food it's great. They also charge an automatic 20% tip of a party of 4. I went with my 3 children and my 5 years old son who didn't have anything to eat at the restaurant but a glass of fruit punch and a side of order of corn that I had for myself. I even brought his own food and I charged 20% automatically. My waitress was very helpful and friendly. She even help us on how to eat snow crabs. Just make sure to Bring enough cash!

I recently visited The Boil - 17 Waverly Pl on Friday 02/27/2026 at 8:00 PM for a reservation and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at the bar before we were seated. We arrived a few minutes early and were directed to wait at the bar. The bartender was making drinks, but despite us being the only people there, she didn’t acknowledge us for about 10 minutes. Not even a quick “I’ll be right with you.” Just completely ignored. When she finally came over, her attitude was immediately rude and unwelcoming. I asked for a drink that I thought was listed on the menu (I used a slightly different name), and instead of clarifying politely, she instantly screwed up her face, walked away, grabbed a menu, and literally threw it down in front of me on the bar. She then turned her back without saying a word. It was shocking and incredibly unprofessional. We ended up sitting there another 15 minutes waiting for our table, and she never once came back to take our drink order. She was wearing an AirPod the entire time and clearly had no interest in engaging with guests. The lack of basic people skills was honestly astounding. We’re not confrontational people, so we didn’t say anything in the moment, but it definitely left a bad impression. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff at the restaurant were very kind and welcoming, and the food was great. However, one person’s horrible attitude can easily ruin the start of someone’s experience. Management should seriously address this. A bartender sets the tone for the entire visit — and this one completely missed the mark.

Cool place for the most part. I'm happy they let you know and have it posted that is a cash only place, and that 20% will be added to the bill, so there no need to tip.(there's an ATM on site) There was a 15 min wait for a table, I felt like the small tables where to closed together nice place a bit dark for my liking. Saff was polite over all. We didn't like our food, but unlike my date, I chose not to continue eating and told the waiter I was unhappy with my meal. She offered me other choices, but I was over it,and my great Aunt 92 told me never to send anything back to the kitchen, so I never do. I feel like in any establishment, you have one time to make a great impression, and that's not what I experience with the food. It looks flavorful, but looks were deceiving in this case. I told the owner who was walking around and he informed me that he doesn't normally take things off, and I said even after I didn't eat it, he said yes cause I came by and asked how everything was. I haven't even started eating when he asked only my date and she doesn't like to complain so she didn't and just took it home. I, on the other hand didn't and it was removed from the bill. I am happy it was cause I was unhappy with the meal preparation, so why would I pay for something I didn't like nor eat. I found it on Google and don't see myself returning or recommending.i guess it's a hit or miss, but most definitely a miss for me . But I did enjoy the zucchini fries they were the best.

We have been to this place many times and usually enjoy eating here, especially the crabs, which is why this experience was shocking and extremely disappointing. We ordered a dungeness crab and shrimps. The crab shell looked dull, and the meat was black and gray and clearly did not look fresh. What is hard to understand is how someone in the kitchen saw the condition it was in and still thought it was acceptable to serve. What made the situation even more concerning was that the waitress did not seem shocked, which naturally makes one wonder how often this happens. She brought out another crab, and the difference was immediately obvious: the replacement crab had a bright red shell, white meat, and no smell at all. The contrast made it clear that the first crab should never have been served in the first place. If we did not know what crab is supposed to look like, we probably would have eaten it and could have gotten seriously sick. When customers are paying the prices charged here, the least they should expect is fresh food that is safe to eat. Serving something in that condition is careless, unacceptable, and disrespectful to customers, especially when it could affect someone’s health.

DO NOT go to this place if you’re expecting professionalism, good service or accommodations. I made a reservation for two people and a third one ended up being able to come. The restaurant is big and there are all kinds of different table sizes, but it was “completely and absolutely impossible” to fit us in. We just had to leave.
