Opinions de Tommy's New York
Me encantó!
The tour of the catacombs was great! Dan was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor
Lee is a very knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed the tour.
Dan was fantastic! We loved the tour through Chinatown, we learnt so much and all of our questions were answered thoroughly and with a great deal of humour! Thank you!
This tour was amazing. Our guide was literally the best guide I have ever had. He was funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
Nick was our tour guide and it was a fantastic event. Learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Highly recommend
We had Dan as our guide. He was great, knowledgeable and interesting. Definitely worth going on this tour.
Dan was a great tour guide, he provided a wealth of information and is a extremely qualified historian.
Have a great time on Catacombs tour. Our tour guide Dan is Awesome.
History is remarkable, and the cathedral and catacombs do not disappoint!
Kyle was an exceptional tour guide. Highly rec this tour with Kyle
Very interesting tour. Tour guide was Dan
Really interesting. Kyle was fab. Recommend
Kyle was an amazing guide!
Nick was an awesome guide!!!
Toured St. Patrick’s basilica cemetery and catacombs by candlelight with Jimmy. He was wonderful, funny and knowledgeable. Beautiful church and rich with New York history.
We had an amazing tour with Ramona! We learned so much about the history of not only the Bowery, but all of New York. Easily one of the best walking tours we have done!
Really fascinating tour of the basilica and cemetery with lots of info on the neighborhood and it’s demographic history, and some notable people resting in the catacombs. Really interesting information, our tour guide Dan was very knowledgeable and excited to share his insight with our group. Really enjoyed this tour! Plus the pizza place he recommended at the end was the perfect place for lunch afterward. Thank you, Dan!
This actually was the biggest surprise and one of our favorite experiences on our week long trip to NYC. Most people know nothing about this tour. It goes under the Basilica of Old St. Patrick's cathedral. You see the catacombs and actually get to enter a crypt with Edison light fixtures. You go into the cathedral and see their one of a kind organ. While it was very interesting I have to say, our tour guide, Leo really was what made it special. He had a passion for the history and stories he was sharing, it was exciting. Take the time and do this tour, then pray you're lucky enough to have Leo be your guide.
Great tour! Our guide, Dan, was amazing! He explained the entire history of the church in detail, even when someone had a question involving deeper into details, he was able to explain! Not too much walking, but a lot of standing. Great tour, especially for an Architecture/Art/History student!
We took the Catacombs by Candlelight tour with tour guide, Mike. Though the catacombs themselves were different than expected, the overall tour was much more and better than anticipated. In addition, Mike was an amazing tour guide. Sadly, I discovered I had no cash for a tip! He deserved it.
Excellent tours of Little Italy and Chinatown by Ramona. She was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of trivia that made us greatly understand the history of the two neighborhoods.
I sampled a great number of different tour operators in NYC and Tommy's was by far the best. I was fortunate enough to have had two 1-1 tours (owing to the low season) with Dan through Chinatown and Little Italy, and his level of knowledge was unrivalled. For those researching which walking tour operator to choose, Tommy's is absolutely the go-to choice.
So awesome! This tour was very informative, giving a lot of history and detail. Brittany was great, offering details to add to the information and seemed to really enjoy the church. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Manhattan!
I went to the Catacombs by Candlelight tour on a school trip. The guide Tommy was really nice and explained everything very well. I would 100% recommend the tour to others and would definitely do it again!
Jim Boyle was my tour guide and as a French tourist we enjoy the tour because he talk very fluently and have a lot of stories to tell ! Best guide in NYC
Tommy was AWESOME! Extremely knowledgeable sharing so much history about the basilica and church. I live blocks away and never knew most of the information he told us! So awesome! Highly recommend!!!
Jimmy Boyle our guide was fantastic. Great stories and history. Very informative engaging. Highly recommend!!
Unbelievable experience! Leo, our tour guide was extremely gifted in his approach to guiding. The amount of history I have learned, is beyond my expectations. Being an Irish Catholic, this was very sentimental to me! Great job Leo!
I took this tour today with a couple of friends and it was fantastic. Tommy is an incredible tour guide. Full of fascinating historical information. So much more than we Expected.
Did the Catacombs tour with Lee who was very knowledgeable and had some great stories to share
I'm giving this 5 stars because Dan made it worth it!! I highly recommend and if possible, request Dan as your guide! If yoy do, tell him the girl from Ohio who hasn't seen any movies says hi! And give him a big tip for me!
Fabulous Bowery tour by Ramonen. Extensive knowledge of the area and great enthusiasm for the history. Highly recommend this tour. You would never know the significance of the street and buildings by just taking a stroll yourself
What a wonderful tour! We really enjoyed learning early NYC history. Especially the ins and outs of the famous Bowery Street from Romona. This tour spans a rather short walking distance, but covers an expansive number of years in history. Definitely helped us understand NYC early history better!
Ramona was great. She shared a lot of history in famous landmarks in Little Italy. Helped me appreciate this neighborhood’s history and the great places to eat or buy local.
Ramona gave us a tour of Little Italy. We found her to be very pleasant and extremely informative. Really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended!
We toured Little Italy with Ramona and enjoyed it immensely! Ramona knows the history of the neighborhood and shared it with us in a way that is fun and interesting. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for some history of the area. Well done, Ramona and thank you so much!!
Tommy Boyle provided an engaging and informative Catacombs tour. Hope you get him !
We have taken walking tours in Europe and Great Britain and the US. This may have been the most interesting for us as Catholics. Seriously, guide Leslie was so knowledgeable and generous (very recent hip surgery so a chair was carried for me!!!). Tour owner operator Tommy was engaging and exuberant. All staff were accommodating. We went back the next day with a couple questions and bought more souvenirs. Excellent!
Today I attended a Chinatown tour and the host was Ramona. She was really amazing with deep historical knowledge of the subject . We made a lot of stops and she explained the details of each region tirelessly and passionately. And with humor, too. She really is an amazing host and you will be lucky if she ever happens to host a tour for you also. Great job Ramona 👏👏 👏
Today we did the Bowery tour with guide Ramona. She shared a lot of lively stories about the history of this oldest street in New York. We highly recommend this tour!
My wife and I did the Original St Patrics tour of the Catacombs and the church and aurrounds. If you want a detailed history of the Catholic church in New York and how it was influenced by immigration from different countries over the last 200plus years and the threats from the NY gang scene and how the church continued and continues to evolve to meet the needs of the parishioners, then I recommend this tour. It's excellent. Tommy ran the tour. You will walk away wanting to learn more. This is history the way it's meant to be presented and preserved. Thankyou Tommy.
The check in is easy.. The tour guide Dan, was very informative. He brought humor and continously invited questions. The tour is 90 minutes but you are not in the actual Catacombs that long. That's alright though because you have plenty of time to actually look at what is available to walk through. You go in the Church; but remember this is an active church so it's important to remain quiet and respectful. No videos are allowed but they tell you that any type of pictures are acceptable. Also if you did not get to see the Church sanctuary to your fullest satisfaction or if you want to participate they allow you to reenter after the tour has ended. It is not at the St Patrick's near Rockerfeller. It is in the original St Patrick that is listed as "The Basilica of St Patrick's Old Cathedral". I would recommend this to anyone that has a strong Catholic heritage, loves history, loves Church architecture, or is looking for a little something different than just shopping. The only thing that could be a drawback is if you have small children then they are probably not going to enjoy it.... however there were no children on the tour we went to so I cannot say for certain that would be an issue.
Our Tour Guide was Ramona and she was simple the best. She knows literally everything about China Town and Little Italy (and surely about whole NYC as well). Thank you, Ramona, for this experience!
We really enjoyed our tour through Chinatown - Ramona, our tour guide, was a star! She knows so many details and makes sure everyone can follow.
20-year local finally taking the time to explore all the history of home. I thought this tour was an excellent way to learn about the origins of five points, the old St. Pats, the all-original organ, and more. Photos are projected in the catacombs which adds to the experience of learning about those interred there. This is not a spooky tour, because as we learned, this is an active sanctuary and cemetery, but atmospheric none the less.
You'll love the History, Cultural yet Fun tour of the Catacombs! Our tour guide Kyle was definitely funny and made the tour so interesting!
Lee was a great guide, we learned so much more than just the history of St Patrick’s. Highly recommend. Tommy was also really helpful
Did a tour with Tommy’s at the Catacombs. So knowledgeable. Really enjoyed it. Will recommend to all. Thomas made it so special with all his knowledge

Toured with Jimmy on Friday night and it was awesome! He has such a great sense of humor, did a great job of incorporating all the places we were all from into the tour (wales, queens, Brooklyn, etc) and overall made it a great experience. We did the tour through the Go City pass and it was worth every penny!! Very interesting history, and the cafe on an are very cool to see in the dark. Highly recommend!
Gangs of New York & Pirates Tour My friend Jen and I had the great pleasure of having a private tour with Ramona on a very cold winter day in NY. What a treat! I highly recommend Tommy's New York tours and if you can request Ramona you will NOT be disappointed. Her knowledge and detailed account of historical characters and location were deep. Her enjoyment of sharing history infected both me and my friend and we could barely keep up with questions and answers because each answered question caused us to want to learn more details. Cold? What cold?...over 2 hours of NY history with Ramona fueled us for the rest of the night. Next time we're doing Tommy's Little Italy tour with Ramona and we can't wait.
Ramona was a great and passionate tour guide. Even though I was alone, she gave me a private tour of Little italy. No question was to much and she could answer every one of them.
Our guide Ramona was spectacular, both brilliant and entertaining! Not only does she clearly have deep well of knowledge about the history of NYC neighborhoods, it was also apparent that city history is actually a personal passion of hers. I’ve been on several other walking tours (in various cities), and sometimes it feels like the guide is more of an actor than a real history buff. But on this tour we really got the impression that Ramona is a genuine nerd (in the best possible way) about NYC, the lore, the wild characters, the architecture, the culture, and the evolution of the city. (Afterward, we all commented to each other that it was awesome to see someone really “in their element” like this.) Super fun, answered all of our random questions with great side-stories, and made us feel like we were getting the inside scoop.
Our tour through the Catacombs by Candlelight with Lee was incredible. Lee explained a lot and made the tour extremely interesting. This tour is an awesome way to learn about this Churches history as well as some history about the surrounding area. Highly recommend Lee!
We took the Little Italy tour and loved every minute of it! Ramona, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and gave us so much great information as we made stops throughout Little Italy. The experience was impeccable and is the best way to get an in-depth knowledge of Little Italy while having fun.
My friends and I attended the St. Patrick's Basilica (Old Cathedral) Tour on Saturday, 11/1/2025. Leo, our tour guide, was friendly and knowledgeable about the Basilica, the surrounding neighborhood and the history of NYC. The Catacombs Tour by candlelight was amazing. I learned so much about the history of the Basilica and neighborhood! Cardinal Dolan was at the Basilica on Saturday to conduct the mass for the installation of the Basilica's new Pastor, Fr. Daniel Ray! It was such an honor to be able to attend the Mass and see Cardinal Dolan and to celebrate Fr. Daniel. The tour was what we expected and more! Leo was great and while I am sure he does these tours so frequently, he never made it seem mundane or routine! Thank you Tommy's New York and thank you Leo for a wonderful day in NYC. We are all looking forward to our next tour!
We did two guided walks with Tommy'S New York, Chinatown and the Bowery, and with Ramona we had a great and funny guide with a lot of knowledge and information about the quarters of the City. Totally recommend able!!!!
Ramona was very knowledgeable and passionate about the tour in Bowery and why preserving culture and history is so important and needs to be kept going into the future.

Was an informative and fun tour. Our guide was a bit much at times and come off a bit condensing at times. Still was very happy to attend in our travels.
Fantastic tour guide! Amazing history. Enjoyed the tour tremendously. Wanted a little more dark and spooky.
Tour was great, but finding where it started was not.
Informative
Tour super interessante con una prospettiva singolare sulla storia della comunità cattolica a New York, in particolare per quanto riguarda Little Italy. Guida competente, molto brava e dall'inglese facilmente comprensibile.
Ramona took us on the Bowery walking tour - she was excellent. She knew all the history and had a great sense of humor.
Was a very fun and informative tour that goes into a lot of NYC history! The catacombs are about 1/3 of the tour, they spent a lot of time on the history of the neighborhood, time period and history of the church itself loved it! They did however spend a large amount of time talking about and showing you the pipe organ inside the church, they don't mention anything besides the catacombs in the description of the tour I read beforehand, frankly 20min talking about the pipe organ was not something I was interested in and kind of seemed like they were filling time... The guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable.
Dan was my tour guide. Our tour was the little Italy area in Manhattan. Learned lots from this tour. Dan was our tour guide. He was very personable and had a good balance of humour & information. My only dislike is little Italy doesn't really exist anymore. A lot of the tour is of what little Italy once was and the current area has been gentrified to a large degree. This area is also heavily Asian now so I'd imagine the Chinatown tour would be a popular choice. Either way enjoyed the tour.
Ramona was knowledgeable and fun on our tour of Chinatown. Lots of fun historical quips and great recommendations for food/drink.
Pretty cool trip but it's a one and done for me and not something I'd do again. The history lesson was nice and seeing the tombs was cool. You also get to go behind the scenes in the church and well, which was pretty neat as well.

The catacombs are recently painted drywall and the Candlelight is just battery operated mini candles. The guides were great though.
The chinatown tour was pretty boring. Less talk and more walk and showing around would be better.
Tour was OK once started constant interruptions at the begining for nearly half an hour had me close to walking away, messing with earpieces like some comedy secret service show also distracting
PROS: During our visit to this tour, Kyle was our animator. He was simply perfect. He shared with us a lot of interesting facts and informations about the history of the church and catacomb. He was very sympatic and had a good sense of humour. He did his job at 110%. He truly is an excellent guide. CONS: - With the way the tour was presented to us in the New York Pass app, we were under the impression that we were going to see some authentic catacombs. While in reality, the whole place have been modernised in 2015 with concrete brick walls painted in white like a school etablishment, ceramic floor, electric lights and an overall modern-ish finish. No more authentic dirt ground or rock walls. Everything that would have been interesting to see was all hidden behind some questionable renovation. VERY DISAPOINTING. If we had knew that in advance we would have never been to this tour. We went there mostly for the catacombs. We wanted to see something real from history. Not some fake 2015 construction thing. - In the New York Pass App it is written that the tour was going to last only one hour, while in fact the duration was 2 hours. We didn't really wanted to spend that much time in only one attraction that day and it kind of messed up our schedule. This bad information should be corrected.
My god i wish i was as enthusiastic as the guide who by the way did a great job...but i was expecting bones, an old church, 400 years old catacombs.... sadly it was fully renovated recently and probably looks like a school corridor... i had 24 hours in new york and i really felt like this was an unecessary tour.... i dont recommend... if you think this will be like the paris catacombs like i thought it would be dont go...
Doing 3.2km walking in 35 degree over two hours was a big ask. Our tour guide was Robert. He was a big flop. No personality. Walked way too fast . Our tour started with say 12 and ended with 2. I had heard great things about this tour but our one was a big flop. We have done other tours in the heat and the guide had us hanging on every word so we stuck around . But this was an absolute waste of our time
In the Catacomb tour, I had an horrible experience. An disrespectful and violent man do not let us enter to the church. He wrongfully claim that my wife jacket is a custom and took pictures of her without permission. A woman that work for the tour was kind and give us a refund. Unfortunately the redund do not compensate the aggression of the man against my wife
