We live in Miami, we came with a recommendation but the restaurant was way better than we expected. Isacco is a great guy Ps: If you go ask Isaac for his years in the Spanish Army

Amazing food and highly recommend it. A bit dark inside but the atmosphere is top notch, I highly recommend the homemade sangria. These are by far the best sangria I've had in a long time. The white is my favorite but the red is a bit more mellow if you dont have a sweet tooth for white wine.

Had the best night enjoying the wonderful food and getting to know the owner! So much charm and character throughout the establishment. Cannot wait to come back!

Amazing service and great food! They took my group in last minute with no reservations and were very accommodating. Yeah it’s not a “gourmet” or “luxury” Italian place by my usual standard, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. My party sat in their “garden room” in the back and had the whole patio to ourselves at around 5PM on a Friday night - WILD! Main meals were around $20-$35 and portions were generous/more than enough! The owner, Isaac, was the star of the night. He made sure we were happy with our meals, gave us each a free bottle of wine to take home, and told us all about his days of Elvis impersonation. I’m not sure why people are giving this place bad reviews, he may not be from Italy but they sure know how to cook like they are! Will 100% be coming back here on my next trip to the city.

I wish I could rate the service 10 stars. But, alas, I cannot. Stunning customer service, the manager came to our table and personally sang to each of us. Amazing food and even better staff.

What a Fantastics place!!!! What a awesome food!!!! What a surprise!!!! Thanksgiving night, we went out to find a place to dinner…. Tratoria de Isaac called our attention. Great and cozy neighbourhood little restaurant with perfect wine selection service and flavorful food. The house red dry wine we tried was simply amaizing. The palette and aftertase of wine left me curious about what type of barrels where used for that wine fermentation. Glad we picked that place for late dinner.

Absolutely fantastic. Isacco is a wonderful host and attended to our every need enthusiastically and with charm. Excellent music selection featuring Mario Lanza - warmed my heart as an opera singer. The pastas are very well priced and far exceeded most of the pastas I’ve had here in the city. Cannot recommend Casa Di Isacco highly enough if you love great, honest Italian food and a classic “redsauce joint” vibe

We had friends in from out of town and we noticed the beautiful grapevine in the front. We went in to find the owner singing and entertaining everyone. We had a fantastic meal, including the best octopus ever! Between the food, wine, atmosphere and entertainment, it is now a must whenever we will have friends in town!

As an Italian restaurant lover, I felt in love with the ambience of the restaurant. The food was delicious. I tried the sangria and I could say it is the best sangria I have ever tried. Wandered into Casa di Isaaco tonight after taking in a show on Broadway and it was a damn delight in every possible way. Isaac, the owner, was a fun, kind, gregarious character and the food was simple but perfect. The flavors were immaculately balanced, the staff was kind and helpful, the prices were very reasonable, and they just so happen to have the best marinara I’ve ever tasted in my life. Just good, simple, authentic and perfectly executed Italian fare. I’m definitely going back next time I’m in Manhattan.

The food is fabulous here! We had a sizzling platter of shrimp tapas with garlic that was perfectly cooked and also the broccoli rabe rounded everything out perfectly. Main dishes were shrimp and calamari with linguini and the fusilli. Everything was cooked el dente with wonderful flavors, I will definitely be coming back! Owner is a great singer, such great ambience!

Wow words cannot capture the experience I had at Casa di Isacco. I was by myself on a work trip and seriously debated eating at my hotel but decided to venture out. From the moment I sat down, Isaac and his staff made me feel incredibly welcome and brought the most absolutely delicious dish after dish. The veal picatta was the best of my life and the atmosphere is the closest to Italy I’ve seen since I left the country. Isaac sang several times throughout the meal and poured champagne throughout the meal for the restaurant. If you’re looking for an amazing experience and incredible food and drink, look no further.

Unbelievably good. Pasta was amazing! Tomato sauce was amazing! Seafood was so fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was great and had a very personal touch. First time ever being here but it felt like we (and every other customer in the place) were friends and personal guests of Mr. Isaac Elvis. Incredibly good food and memorable experience for my wife and I as we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. Thank you!!!

I am loving this restaurant, we love the pasta to start with and ended up ordering another pasta cause it’s just way too yummy. Issac is the best host, he’s so friendly he sang with us and made us feel so welcomed. It was a 10 out of 10 for the food the atmosphere and everything in here! Please do come and experience it yourself!

Truly authentic Italian cuisine! Definitely not a tourist trap, friends. (And I say this with twelve years in management positions within the Hospitality Industry; three of which were spent working at two different Italian-focused restaurants.) My guests and I stumbled into Trattoria Casa Di Isacco on a whim while exploring the Hell's Kitchen area. We managed to get there right as lunch was ending and, none other than Isacco himself greeted us with such excitement and enthusiasm. His charisma and hospitality set the tone for a warm, wonderful lunch. I ordered the stuffed artichoke and I literally gasped in awe after the first bite. It was incredible and so very flavorful. My guests ordered the chorizo, the calamari, and a bottle of Chianti. It is also worth noting the INCREDIBLE wine selection of Trattoria Casa Di Isacco. I mean hundreds upon hundreds of bottles line the walls, from 750ml bottles, to magnums, and beyond. This place is a wine-lover's dream! And, believe it or not, the wine is reasonably priced, too. Our bottle of Chianti was $35.00 and paired perfectly with each of our selections. The character and authenticity of this place is can't-miss, friends. I assure you. While we organically stumbled into this establishment, we will CERTAINLY be returning. And a big "thank you" to Isacco for the kindness, the momentum, and the delicious bottle of wine!

We had the best time here. My suggestion to everyone is the Ravioli Lobster. It’s one of the best Italian food I’ve tried. Give it a chance and check it out. Isaac is such a great host.

Thought it’s a tourist spot because of the location. Always loved the roses at the front but never eaten there until tonight. The food was actually pretty good. Homemade style and absolutely delicious, dessert was outstanding. (ordered the Flan). Owner and stuff were very friendly and entertaining. Even gave us a free bottle of wine when we leave! Highly recommend. They are trying very hard at this difficult time. There is a nice half outdoor garden in the back. What a nice surprise. Would definitely go back.

This place was absolutely delicious. I haven't had a Chicken Francese like that in a very long time , if not ever. Probably the best Ive ever had. Unfortunately , we did not have any of our cameras on to take photos , but my husband got the veal parmesan , which he is very picky about , but loved because it was a very thin slice cooked perfectly. My daughter had the carbonara which she finished. We ate all of our food so we did not have room for dessert just a sambuca and espresso. We got Isaac's wine and we will absolutely come back again. The dining room is small but cozy. Exactly want you want to feel when you are NYC. I feel like we got the entire experience from Issac even starting from the 1st interaction when I asked what he recommends and he said everything was good. The sauce is something I will miss! See ya next time Isaac!

Been coming here for 15 years!! Isaac opened this restaurant 35 Years ago and he’s an Elvis lover so you will see all things Elvis in the restaurant including his side burns :) he can be eccentric but fun & don’t get discouraged by the decor, it’s fun and quirky. Christmas decorations up all year round. There were times when people have stayed past closing time and Isaac puts the music up and we all end up singing haha. Food is fantastic, home made pasta and wine, and he has the best sangria I’ve ever tasted! Been to 62 countries and I’m a trained chef from the French culinary institute and I know a good sauce when I try it! I love the Amatricana. I tell him to make it with bucatini for me. I bring friends and family, when they’re in town & they love everything they eat including the garlic shrimps as an appetizer. Everything is great!!! Italian food at its best! Don’t hesitate to eat here!! He speaks fluent Spanish too. He moved here over 35 years ago from Europe.

Had to get for after traveling from Georgia. This location is right around the corner from the hotel we are staying in. My wife was famished and we had passed by this restaurant on our way to the hotel. I decided we needed to try it, so off we went. I had the Chicken Parmesan, and my wife had the Chicken Romana. Everything came out quickly and smelled wonderful. Flavors were perfect. The dessert was also wonderful. I had the Orange Sorbet, and my wife had the Flan. I would highly recommend this location!

We had dinner here tonight and it was delicious! The owner took great care of us and spent time talking to us about his history in Vegas and his family roots. Food was great. I had the linguine and clams and my friend had the chicken Parmesan thumbs up to both of them. We weren’t planning on having dessert however I heard the tartufo is the best and I can tell you it definitely is. I ate the whole thing! My friend enjoyed the cannoli as well. I’m glad that I stumbled across this restaurant that happened to be around the corner from our hotel. We may even go back before we leave this week..

I came to New York City by myself for work and I had the most enjoyable evening at Casa de Isacco! The second I sat down he, said, red or white. I said, red and the host, Isaac brought the most beautiful glass of chilled red wine! The bread and dipping sauce that came out first was an inch thick, beautifully toasted and oh my goodness! Then probably the freshest Caesar salad I've had in a long time and I don't even know what the name of the pasta was .. he asked what I was in the mood for and I told him something light.. He brought angel hair with shrimp, arugula and basil... perfect! Without asking he brought me a glass of champagne for dessert. I think I fell in love 😁

Fantastic experience. Atmosphere was perfect, but can't be properly described apart from Isacco, the gregarious proprietor. He made a great eating experience over the top by just being himself. And the food. Holy cow. I've not had a meal like that in many years. The Pears Nonna was quite the treat. If you're anywhere close, visit Casa Di Isacco. You will be glad you did.

Isacc, this man was an amazing host to his restaurant. The food was perfect both times we ate there this week. The house wine was delicious, the vodka sauce was the best I have ever had. I came in before the dinner crowd, so enjoyed the restaurant to myself, only shared by with another gentleman. The food was delicious. I had the veal and it was cooked to perfection. I had tiramisu to go and was pleasantly surprised that it was packaged as if I had it dining in. A little disappointed with the wine, there was a lot of sedimentation on the bottom of the glass which wasn’t realized until I almost got there. I wish there was a wine list offered. People, don’t make the assumptions. It appears that I experience most folks have, an automatic 20% gratuity. I suppose once I paid with my metal American Express platinum card, he felt a little guilty and provided me with a parting bottle of wine.

The food was quite okay but could have been much better. Really nice atmosphere but the manager gotten drunk with the guests from one table.

Small, dark and cozy Italian restaurant on 9th Ave. in Hells Kitchen. Food was good and wished the portions were a little bigger. We both had the chicken marsala and enjoyed it. My wife had wine and I had room temperature water with dinner. No sodas available, just wine and water… They add fees for tip and for credit card usage…

J
Juliana Cristina Pardini

We liked the food! But there’s a catch — be careful! The drink prices were not listed on the menu. I found the food prices reasonable for New York, but paying $16 for each glass of house wine and $16 for a sparkling water that costs $3 at the market was a shock. We were unpleasantly surprised. This was extremely disrespectful. Consider this a warning!

v
vivienne atkinson

We walked in, not realising it was Elvis themed and we sat down at a huge table for 6 as a family of four. We received some nice bread to start but our experience slowly went downhill. The host was attentive but slightly scary… I wasn’t sure what to think! An overwhelming Elvis theme was very apparent once inside. The food was overall quite nice but the drinks prices were very high. We were also met with some weird Elvis singing and a bottle of wine with the host dressed up as Elvis on the front. Weird but decent. Not our cup of tea but would be great for an Elvis fan.

E

Very small restaurant with great ambiance. The food was ok, nothing special and especially not real Italian. Red flag was that the Carbonara is not made Italian style but rather with Alfredo sause (I appreciated the honesty). The calamari were very thin and therefore chewy. We also ordered a sorbet, which we did send back. It was served in an orange which was prefrozen altogether. It was a great presentation but terrible. The waiter took it off the bill. Great service, but if you are looking for authentic Italian, this is not the place.

If you wanna see the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, this is the place to go. The owner was our server, rude, disrespectful, impatient...don't waste your tastebuds on this place. We would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone, and would NEVER come back, far too many good Italian restaurants in New York. We were nothing but kind and pleasant towards him. As a 1st generation Italian/American I was so disappointed. 👎👎👎👎

Honestly, the food was subpar. With those prices I was expecting the food to be fresh and tasty. I personally wouldn’t come back. The was not authentic. Although, I will say the meatballs were good! Overall it’s a no for me and I’d honestly rather go to Olive Garden . And the outdoor seating was mad cramped🥴

!!!TOURIST TRAP!!! As visitors from Australia, we decided to walk 9th avenue and get a meal, we chose this cute restaurant for a simple Italian meal. We got sparkling water, chicken masala and my partner got the seafood linguine "special". We then ordered desert, with two limoncello's. As the menu showed $23 for a main we assumed everything else would be similar in price. When the bill came it was $226!! The special was $100, limoncello $25 EACH!!! Isaac Elvis was eccentric but harmless i guess. Not sure if he charges locals like this but he will get no repeat business. Just read this back and have been too nice, these clowns ruined our evening, i should have called them on the bullshit at the time but we just paid and left....

Not a place I'd recommend.. the service was good but .. I ordered the eggplant parm ...and after the first bite there was this weird after taste ....my friend asked me what's wrong and I told him I couldn't figure out a taste I was getting. After having a second bite ...it hit me... you know that smell you get from the chemical in a morgue. Well the food tasted like that with a weird after taste. I said it to my friend and he said omg you are right it does have that after taste of a morgue chemical smell and he had gotten a chicken parm . We barely touched the food..but I didn't want to seem to complain so we just paid the bill and left and went to a different restaurant. Soo in all I probably wouldn't recommend this place

gonna have to agree with everyone else saying this is a tourist trap. The prices are much different than it says on google. the inside is very nice. lasagna was $22 lasagna was actually pretty good but ice cold in the middle and EXTREMELY small had to send it back to kitchen. then when they brought a new one back they brought an even smaller one. it was about the size of the bottom of the cup. two teas was $16. the tirimusi was $15 it had a great presentation but honestly wasn't good at all.

Do not go here unless you like rude staff and expensive service. Three of us ordered dinner. Received mouldy bread as an appetizer was told there was no issue with bread when I brought it to there attention. Charged 15 dollars for a 33oz bottle of water. Ordered chicken parmesan. Very small portions for 20 dollars each plus 20% gratuity added on the bill. No wonder because they wouldn't receive any at all otherwise. So disappointed. Better go to the pizza shop on the corner lovely staff and service.

I had one of the most uncomfortable and disrespectful experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I asked a simple question about whether the dishes were large and if they had soups. Instead of answering politely, the owner sarcastically asked if I didn’t know how to read the menu. His tone was extremely condescending from the beginning. He then kept insisting that if I wanted to “learn how to order in a restaurant,” I needed to listen to him. I told him several times that his attitude was making me uncomfortable, yet he continued speaking to me in a patronizing way, as if I were a child. As a woman, being spoken to in such a dismissive and belittling manner by the owner of a restaurant was incredibly upsetting. No customer deserves to be treated this way. Because of this hostile and unprofessional behavior, I cannot recommend this place.

⭐ 1 Star Very disappointing experience especially on my mother’s birthday. We have visited this restaurant about four times already. My mother loves this place, and we even drive all the way from Pennsylvania just to bring her here. Today was her birthday, and all she wanted was to sit, relax, and enjoy a sangria. Unfortunately, the owner was extremely rude to us. He told us that next time we come, we should “let him know” ahead of time if we are only having sangria and no food, so he can decide whether to say yes or no. We had no idea we needed to call for that. We were shocked at how disrespectful that sounded. We came as a family to celebrate a special day, and instead of feeling welcomed, we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Regardless of whether a customer orders a full meal or just a drink, a customer is still a customer and deserves to be treated with respect. Very disappointed. If we had known we would be treated this way, we would not have chosen this place for my mother’s birthday.

AVOID THIS PLACE We were originally heading to our usual Italian spot for good homemade tiramisu, but a street promoter convinced us to try this restaurant, promising the best Italian desserts in NYC. From the start, the older manager/waiter was rude and unwelcoming. He didn’t greet us and led us through the kitchen to a patio area that smelled strongly of food and burned butter. We only wanted dessert, which clearly annoyed him. I had to repeat my order several times (pistachio dessert, tiramisu, and a decaf espresso). The tiramisu was mediocre with soggy ladyfingers, and the pistachio dessert was tiny and disappointing. Too much mint and unnecessary garnishes didn’t help. The only pleasant person was the busser, who was kind and attentive. Our coffee came late—after we finished dessert—and the decaf request was clearly ignored, leaving me jittery the rest of the night. The final shock was the bill. We expected to pay maybe $30-40, but the total came to $65! $10 for a single espresso? $20 for a tiny, subpar dessert? Are you serious? Even the fanciest restaurants in Manhattan charge $6–$7 for espresso, not $10. I can only imagine what people pay for main courses. This place is overpriced, unwelcoming, and not worth it. Save your money and skip it.

Honestly, I’ve never given a 1 star. The food was great, and the inside is gorgeous. We walked in a little after 11pm for a night cap and a nice dessert, as they had so many options. We informed them of this and they gladly accepted us and sat us down in an empty dining room. (They closed at midnight so we had given ourselves plenty of time for dessert). We ordered a tiramisu, tap water and a sangria but were told that we HAD to open one of the bottles of water on the table. The server insisted. Once our initial server took our order, he was visibly upset and went to get another server to help us. He proceeded to sit down in the dining room to have a beer. I found this to be a little odd. The drinks and food came out shortly after we ordered, and they were great! Super tasty! The food and drinks are a 5/5. It wasn’t until the end of our night until the experience turned a little sour. When the bill arrived, the tiramisu and drink were reasonably priced. $12 for the drink and $20 for the tiramisu. However, they claimed the still water bottle was a $15 charge. After paying and thanking them, I said that I found the prices to be fair and that the meal was great but that I didn’t expect a bottle of water that was insistently opened on me to cost $15. Our original server, who was still drinking his beer in the dining room, raised his voice to then say “well next time you should eat something”. I found this to be a little disrespectful, especially after a $50 bill a tip. Our second server was super nice, and again the food and drink were great! I guess avoid getting water, or this place in general, if you aren’t having a full meal.
