Awesome pork chops and lunch specials
Our favorite Chinese restaurant in SCV. We literally go 2-3 times a month for past 4 months since we've discovered them. The food is really tasty, employees are really nice and prices are very affordable! Cant ask for more than that. Also introduced this place to my friends and they love it. Keep up the great work!
Service was friendly and helpful, food was so delicious! And the portions were very generous. We took home enough for lunch the next day. We will be back if we ever find ourselves in the area again!
This place is amazing! My family has been coming here since the early 2000s. Same management running the restaurant and the food never disappoints. We don’t live in so-cal anymore, but when we come down, we make sure to take a trip here.
We got a to go order that was done quickly. Food was amazing and priced perfect. Highly recommend.
We were looking for a place that cooked and served good ole traditional chinese food and we found it! We are from Moorpark and Bakersfield Ca. The flavor of food was great, the facility was nice and service from Kim our waitress and her associate was outstanding. Kim always and I mean always checked on us, cleared dirty dishes etc. Kim and her associate greeted us and others with a smile and friendly personality wanting you to return and make this restaurant a "regular" place of where you want to eat and take others and tell a friend! Thank you Kim for making our experiencing an awesome one! We will see you again. Escobars & Mitchells
Tasty food and good service.
Been searching for good hot and sour soup for the longest ever since I've moved to California. Surprisingly SoCal has so many Chinese restaurants around the SGV area, but I haven't found a place that serves what I'm used to. My daughter had a school event in the area so we stopped by before heading home. Wow best Chinese food by far. Loved their hot and sour soup and the beef snowpeas with brown sauce! Might have to make the drive back up to try out their other dishes when we have time.
I've always wondered why the SCV doesn't rave more about Chinese cuisine, I feel like Chinese cuisine should be celebrated more instead of all the generic chains all over the place. I ordered the orange chicken, beef and broccoli and I enjoyed it. Service was good, although I came at an early time. I'm sure the staff would be able to accommodate in there case of a rush. Food was good, surely. Better than Panda Express, or other chain foods. Give this place a shot, it's worth it.
One of my very favorite restaurants! Our family used to go there at least once a week, starting back when the lunch specials were $4.55. I still think of it fondly even though we have moved out of state. I miss going there very much. It was a regular thing for our family! We got to know a lot of people there. The staff was always super friendly
went here as I was desperate for Chinese food while I was home. Usually, I don't have high hopes for Asian food anywhere outside of San Gabriel Valley but this surprisingly hit the spot. Super yummy, not too salty, and I didn't feel gross and greasy after I ate it. Really good portions for such a great price. The staff are always so kind and helpful as well. I'll definitely be coming back.
Yuuuup, this is the closest ill get to my dad's cooking for americanized chinese food. The lunch price has to be one of the craziest (compliment) prices I have ever seen. My god, it's a decent amount of food for like 10-13 bucks. I tried like half of the lunch specials and they're all good in their own ways. I love the kung pao chicken and tofu dishes. Tofu dishes tend to be hard to get the flavor profile right so this reaaaaally passes. The only con here would be somewhat slow services which makes sense when it's somewhat packed (as I used to work in a chinese restaurant too). Honestly, for the price, I would give this place a chance.
Lived in this town for almost 20 years and this is one of the best restaurants in the area, everything is delicious! Seriously cant go wrong here! Staff is fast and great customer service and relations. Everyone who eats here, has to come back cuz it's so damn good. This is me and my wife's favorite Chinese spot 10/10
First time at this restaurant. After going to the post office, I noticed the restaurant and I thought I’d check it out. Great lunch menu choices. Very reasonably priced and delicious. I was told it would take 10 minutes, and I wasn’t even there that long. Excellent! I will be back.!
Loved it❤️! Not often is your entree served by the chef themselves but that's exactly what happened! Our waiter provided excellent service as well! Very informative of the menu. The food no doubt prepared fresh daily... Excellent rolls... Vegetables were crispy fresh! I had the Szechuan shrimp with white rice.... Magnifico!!!! Bon appetit!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Delicious food! Had the spicy chicken soup, chicken broccoli with brown sauce, and the steamed rice. Soup was delicious with just the right amount of spicy ness to it. Good chunks of chicken and tasty mushrooms. The chicken broccoli plate had a good ration of chicken to broccoli. Broccoli was cooked to a good texture. The waitress/hostess was friendly and kind. Definitely a great choice for takeout!
A TRUE HIDDEN GEM*** Excellent friendly greeting and service the moment you step in from all the staff members. Was very busy but luckily could still accommodate our party of 11 without a long delay. I let my elders do the ordering and everything we ordered came out HOT with FRESH ingredients. The aroma and combination of those bursting delicious flavors makes my mouth watery thinking about my delightful dinner I enjoyed 7 hours ago since now that I'm hungry again. PERSONALLY the only thing that sucks about this restaurant is that I live 2 hours away. Thank you Mandarin Wong We'll be back.
So delicious! We had steamed potstickers, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken and curry with rice. The dinner special is such a great deal and the staff are all very friendly. Would definitely visit again, a real diamond in the rough
Listen, I'm a foodie, and if there's one thing foodies know, it's good Chinese food... And Mandarin Wong is THE place to go for that in Santa Clarita!!! The food is AMAZING and the friendly service is always a nice feeling at a restaurant. Not to mention they have your food ready QUICK whether you eat in or take it to go. So go eat there the next time you want some great food at great prices!
This was my first time here and it was bomb!!! The service was great and the food was most delicious! The flavors are bold and authentic. Come here for the small town feel where all the people that walk in know someone there by name. If you feel like authentic Chinese food come here and take a trip!
Great authentic Chinese food. Love getting food here. Support local businesses.

Our first time here. There were some reviews that were mixed about service but pretty consistent in praising the food. The food was very good, portions were generous, didn't take too long but the place wasn't full. Waitress was delightful. Great smile, pleasant, helpful and thoughtful - sadly a rarity these days. Will definitely come back!!!
Food was great and portion was robust.. The service provided by Sonia was absolutely perfect, thanks!
This place is by far the best fo the best triple s tier chinese food I’ve ever had in California. A huge portion for $20 dinner special and perfect flavors of the food. Didn’t expect this but left a huge impression. I would say tho, they should let the server know that she shouldn’t be on phone even though she’s not serving at the moment. Everything else was beyond my expectation and it was great. No complains.

Lunch menu specials are great! Table seating area to the left of emmediate entry, should be made available to customers. Especially those who don't prefer booths.
This was a little hidden gem. I went during dinner time and they had great dinner special options. It came with little appetizers and I upgraded to fried rice with orange chicken. The portions were also great honestly I feel like 1 dinner special would feed two people. I hate half and took the rest home I was stuffed.
This was an amazing find. It's a small place, nothing fancy but the food was quite good. The service was good from the seating to the check. The prices seemed very reasonable. This was my first time at this restaurant, I'll diffently be back.
Tap and pay: "No, not yet" I'm hopeful they will implement it soon, if enough people ask, maybe sooner rather than later. I've been getting the sweet and sour pork for the past few years, it's always good, very consistently. I've also had their beef and broccoli, which was also good. Seating inside the restaurant is limited, I'd call ahead if you have a party over 6 people. Also, they don't do delivery. The only reason for the loss of one star is that the service can be good, but can also be bad, there is a lack of consistently in this area.
With so many generic Chinese Food restaurants all over town...all over every town really, we found Mandarin Wong, albeit in a mostly non-descript atmosphere, to be among the better options in terms of the actual food! They had plenty for vegetarians including "Lemon Tofu" which we hadn't had any kind of version of since before we were vegetarians. It tasted just like we remembered, albeit with tofu instead of chicken or beef. We also had veggie egg rolls (good), and Fried Rice as an upgrade to the rice that came with the food we ordered. (It's a basic fried rice with no vegetables in it but it tasted good.) My wife was happy with her "Buddha's Feast" which came with a generous amount of tofu and vegetables, and the egg flower soup she ordered was swimming with a generous amount of eggs and tasted good too. We appreciate a place that has many vegetarian options and thought, among the vast array of Chinese Food options nearby or anywhere, Mandarin Wong is a good go-to for basic Chinese food offerings that we would happily try again.
This place was pretty good! We ordered beef and broccoli, Mongolian beef, chicken lo mein and potstickers. It was fresh and flavorful. Not the most amazing Chinese food I’ve had but it was a good local spot. We’ll be going back. Due to Covid, they were only doing carry out.

We spent a lot of money here, but we have been eating the left overs for days. The hot and sour soup needed a little vinegar. Everything else was very good.
Food was ok they gave me more then expected. But taste pretty good.

Egg drop soup was phenomenal!!! Happy family was great! Lo mein was alright. Dumplings were too thick on the dough and sour. Like it had too much ginger. I would definitely try it again.
So, the food is great. Unfortunately it does not sit well with my stomach afterwards. NOT food poisoning, but definitely not something that should happen. It consistently happened the last three times I got food from them. I suspect they over recycle their cooking oil.
Today, Sunday August 11th we decided to try this restaurant out (it has been a couple years since we came) And seriously the service is a joke! But let's start off with the food, the food was decent. Can't complain, but the waitress there was horrible. I don't know if she was new or what but in our party of four we had a baby (10 months old), she spilled water and we did not get extra napkins and the waitress did not offer assistance, (mind you the restaurant was not busy) , secondly, she would stand there with the plates and either hand them to my partner or place them (HOT) right in front of the baby, we had to constantly try many times to get her attention and she would walk off , do something else, and finally come to us. We had to get up and find napkins because this female was of no assistance, definitley needs better service but other than that the food is good. I would leave it to your discretion to eat here.

The egg flower soup was ok. Not old Chinatown good but ok. The crispy noodles was stale. The tang chow rice was also ok. The service however was very good. The people were very nice .
The meal was generally enjoyable, and the “three delights”were excellent. However, the orange chicken had a different taste that was not enjoyed. When this was mentioned to the waitress, her response was dismissive and indifferent, then she asked what was disliked in a confrontational tone. The feedback was not acknowledged, or elevated to management and we felt unwelcome. We understand personal preferences vary, but the disrespectful service was unacceptable and resulted in us never returning.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and things were good but after today I will not be going back. Ordered combination fried rice that did not seem to be fresh not it's components. Hesitancy in getting take out sauces , was asked to pay for an additional very small container of sauce. The last 2 times I visited this restaurant the food was fresh and I did not have to pay for sauce.
I decided to visit this restaurant and I really wanted it to be awesome. I placed my order over the phone, then ran two errands and I was thinking I’d be getting cold food by the time I returned, but the food still hadn’t been made by the time I showed up to pick it up. I estimate it was about a 30-45 minute wait for only orange chicken and rice. Also, when I placed the order, the guy taking the order paused and let out an audible sigh when I asked for the price for the food. It was very strange. The food was pretty good, but the chicken was slightly over cooked. The sauce and flavoring was delicious though. The service was also incredibly disorganized when I was in the restaurant waiting for my food and it felt like the people who should be getting the food were ignoring everyone waiting. It seemed like no one wanted to help each other out. Like they had their task that they were supposed to do and didn’t work as a team to help give a great customer experience. The cashier seemed like he had too many tasks to do which may just be poor management and delegation. Overall, this is a decent option if you're in a pinch, but there are definitely better restaurants out there. To summarize: decent food, horrible service.
I had high hopes for this place! Reviews that I read seemed to be very positive, especially about the food. My experience was not good. First, the place was dirty, bathrooms looked like a truck-stop and my overall impression was YUCK! I should have turned around and walked out however, I ordered online and didn’t want the place to be left holding the bag of my food! Drove back to my hotel, hoping reviews about the FOOD were going to be correct. Not the case!! Nothing about what I ordered was “good.” Mildly edible and in some cases just tossed in the trash. I hate to be so negative about an independent business but, come on!!! Food prices are high, the least you could do as put out really tasty, fresh food and finally . . . Clean the place up!!!
So, I went in with my family to have an evening dinner. I've been here before, and the food is always great. My experience this time was less than welcoming. One server, and she was the just all over the place. Taking our orders took a while. We had our 11 month old with us and as HOT plates came in she thought it be great to set them now near or around the baby I had to personally grab some from her and place them more to the center of our table. Trying to even get her attention was a chore, and I even got up myself to grab some napkins and utensils. The food was great, but I can't lie there, but service needs help. Almost felt I should've stepped in and started serving other patrons that started coming in. Other than that, next time, we will order Togo. FYI order a head of time they do take a min.

The reviews gave this restaurant a very good review so we went to try it out. It wasn’t very good. The kung pao chicken didn’t taste like kung pao chicken, it was too dry, the sesame chicken was over cooked and hard. The Mongolian beef was also over cooked and the flavor was off. The honey walnut shrimp was the worse I’ve tasted…it was too sour. The sizzling rice soup was ok but a bit salty. The pan fried crispy noodle was bland and chewy. Was pretty disappointed.
I am honestly shocked this place is still in business after what my family went through. They walked in expecting a normal meal and ended up dealing with one of the rudest waiters they have ever encountered. When they politely sent back a dish they did not like, instead of fixing the situation, the waiter got loud, defensive, and acted like my family had committed some crime by not wanting disgusting food. According to my family, the waiter even threatened to call the police if they did not pay for food they never touched. Imagine trying to have a family meal and being threatened over a plate of nasty food. It is ridiculous and embarrassing for any restaurant to allow that kind of behavior from their staff. My family also noticed that other tables were treated completely normally, while they got eye rolls, sarcastic comments, and an overall nasty attitude from the waiter. They left feeling judged and uncomfortable, like they were being singled out for no reason at all. Whether it was personal bias or just terrible customer service, the whole thing was gross and unacceptable. Restaurants are supposed to make people feel welcome, not attacked and disrespected. And to make it even worse, the food itself was absolutely awful. Even if the service had been decent, the food still would have been a disappointment. The dishes my family actually tried were bland, greasy, and looked like they came from a microwave instead of a real kitchen. Nothing had flavor, nothing tasted fresh, and everything was overpriced. So not only did my family get treated horribly, they were forced to pay for food that tasted terrible and food they did not even eat. My family walked out upset, uncomfortable, and still hungry, which is the complete opposite of what a restaurant is supposed to offer. If this is how the staff behaves when someone sends a plate back, the management clearly does not care about customer service or basic hospitality. The entire experience made it obvious that this place values power-tripping employees more than satisfied customers. Based on my family’s experience, this restaurant is a complete joke. The service is rude, the food is disgusting, and the overall energy is terrible. There are plenty of places that actually care about their customers and do not embarrass themselves like this. Save your time, your money, and your dignity and eat literally anywhere else.
I was severely disappointed with my recent visit. The orange chicken tasted bad and very bland, soggy, and lacking any real flavor. On top of that, the service was poor. We weren't served water in cups; instead, we had to get up and pour it ourselves. This made us feel unwelcome and ignored. Overall, the food and service were both below expectations, and I won't be returning. To make matters worse, the waiter was rude and dismissive when I voiced my concerns, which made the entire meal even more unpleasant.
I ordered food today and was enjoying it at home. Maybe on the second bite, a hair came out! It's disgusting. Bad luck that I had this experience.
the LA County Department of Public Health should be paying you guys a visit soon, thanks for terrible display of customer service 😇 If I was the owner I would start making sure everything was up to code 🙏
