We went to Lazy Dog Newark having with 10 people as a company’s dinner. My colleague ordered lots of appetizers as starters. I did not remember each appetizer name but all of them were so delicious (also, I missed taking photos). I ordered All-American Burger which was included 2 beef patties, cheese, onion, and tomato. The taste of the burger was so great. I was so lucky because our server was so kind and friendly, easy to ask anything. I felt so happy. Hope my company’s manager would put on lots of tips for this super kind server.
Thank you, Lazy Dog, for running a fundraiser for Muttville this week! I came with my 2 senior pups, and we enjoyed everything! We got seated right away on the lovely covered patio. Service was great, food came right away for us. The dogs enjoyed their food! I had asked ahead of time for a couple of "puppy bowls" to go for the dogs at home, and they had those ready for me at the time I was ready to leave! Many thanks, we had a great time!
classic american bar and grill. staff was kind i was in a bit of a hurry so didn’t relax as long as i wanted to. i had the fried chicken dinner which i didn’t love, maybe the texture of the chicken, but well presented and good enough. the sides were good. i read my book and rushed off to the theater.
Food was good ambiance was nice. But what most impressed me was the service. Especially the bartender Bryan Jimenez. He guided me through the menu and recommended an appetizer that you cannot resist. Shout out Bryan for the amazing service upstanding recommendation.
I came here when it first opened and thought the food was mediocre. I'm glad I came back though, it was significantly better. Service is good and I like the theme. There's an outdoor patio but I'm more of a sit inside kind of person.
The portion size was rather small, suitable for a snack but not a full meal. Perhaps I had an unfortunate experience, and I'll try a different dish next time in hopes of better portion control. This particular dish could have benefited from a 25% to 30% increase in quantity. The service was friendly and attentive. My coworker's missed dish was provided complimentary, a thoughtful gesture. Despite the usual 20-seat capacity, the staff quickly arranged additional seating to accommodate our party of 25. On a Tuesday afternoon, the restaurant was calm and relatively empty, though there were still other diners present. I would recommend this establishment for groups with diverse dietary needs, as the menu offers something for everyone. Korean Ribeye Bibimbap
Luis was awesome. He was welcoming and friendly. Made us laugh the entire time. Very genuine. The food was so good. Their candy bacon was delicious. We will be back.
Came after work for happy hour with some coworkers, Nelly was great she recommended the feta dip ( delicious) and even double checked they had a pot pie left for one of us!
Took a while to get in on a weeknight, that is a good sign that this place delivers to please. I was very happy with the food and the staff seemed light, but we had amazing service. Cold beer kept coming and check-ins to ensure we were good. I ate light as I wanted a few drinks for a late dinner.
Awesome service, great interior, good food. A little pricey but it is California so expect to pay a little more than usual. I would go here again for sure. Their banana pudding slaps!
Pretty new here at Newark, this chain built this huge restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seatings. Service staff was very friendly, attaintive. Food was surpringly better than my experience at the Cupertino location. Chicken wing appetizer was crispy outside and juicy inside. The burger was very flavorful. Fish taco was fresh. Overall, a great place to have a pleasant meals with family and friends!
I would not have waited this long to try this place if i knew it was so good. Their huckleberry mule was the highlight of the night it was delicious ( try with extra shot 😉). The chipotle chicken quesadilla was super crispy and cheesy. I got the fried chicken dinner and the chicken was nice and tender from the inside and crispy from the outside. Keep in mind that the crust outside the chicken is a little sweet so if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like to mix savory and sweet it’s not for you. For the All American Burger, the meat patties were juicy and tender with a whole lot of cheese 🤤. Service was excellent, our waiter kept checking on us while we were eating. Im definitely going back to try other menu items.
-Breakfast Burger [grilled beef patty, smoked bacon, sunny side up egg, hash brown, cheddar - which i removed, and bark and bite sauce, fries] ($16.25) -Hair of the Dog Bloody Mary [vodka, tomato juice, black pepper, fresh lime + horseradish, garnished with olives, pickled green beans + celery] ($5) always been to lazy dog for dinner or happy hour and was pleasantly surprised when my friends and i decided to grab brunch here bc wow it was bomb!! id say that their brunch food and drink menus are super attracting as they have mimosas flights/bloody mary - both my personal favorite. and the breakfast burger was really yummy - at first i was hesitant that it might be too heavy but to my delight it was actually perfect paired with the alcohol and i really enjoyed what was inside. so if you're looking for a bomb brunch spot then lazy dog would be a pretty good option
I love Lazy Dog, great service and nice menu. Open every day until midnight, they have a very nice selection of beers and their drink menu is also pretty good, I definitely enjoy their margaritas. The food is always good, I am tasting many dishes, I pick up almost every night when I'm not dining in. They do have a brunch menu on the weekends if you're tempted, you must absolutely try their breakfast burritos with a cocktail. Their service is always good, I know Allen is one of their best servers for sure, he goes above and beyond for everyone.
We had a party of 19 for my sister's 50th bday. I would have given the place two starts as my dinner was delayed over 30 minutes. By the time I got my dinner everyone was done. The reason for five starts was because the staffs were excellend and very friendly. The managers came to our table and apologized. He even removed all our appetizers from our bill. What an amazing service without even asking. The management is doing something right at Lazy dog. I will definitely come again as they own up to their mistakes.
Located next to the Newpark Mall, Lazy Dog provides a great ambiance. It feels like a cozy cabin, especially during a cold day. There's a large indoor seating area as well as a covered patio, where you can bring along your canine companion. The overall look is great if you enjoy large fireplaces, open beam ceilings, and woodwork. On the patio they have a large firepit that can sit 12 people, and plenty more seating is available inside and out. The leather bound menu had a variety of foods to choose from, including seasonal items they only offer at specific times of year. They offer pizza, sandwiches, fish, steak, chicken, soups salads, various cocktails, and much more. They serve a weekend brunch until 2pm, and a daily lunch menu until 4pm. The menu also offers some lovely artwork (by Rebecca Simms) that fits well with the restaurants theme. There is plenty of staff going about to assist folks, which is good because they get very busy. During my brunch trip on the weekend we arrived around 12:45 and there were large groups arriving, with most of the inside seating taken up. As there were only 2 of us we were seated quickly, waiting only 15 minutes. They cook all their food from scratch in their kitchen, which means you may have a slightly longer wait for your food, but you'll know it's fresh. I tried the Dirty Dog (bacon wrapped hot dog topped with a pile of potato chips and coleslaw), and while it's not something I'm likely to order again it was by no means bad. My wife had the Shrimp Tacos and a Cucumber Thyme Lemonade which she really enjoyed. We also had the Donut Holes as an appetizer, which are served with a Hazelnut/Nutella sauce, and they were amazing. The dough was fresh and had a crunchy exterior while the inside was still soft and steaming warm when you bit into them. Overall a great place to eat, with a fantastic sit down experience, so long as you don't mind a slightly extended wait. There's also a selection of gift items inside (beanies, candles, socks, mugs) and they offer a beer club as well.
One of the best experiences I had of my life one of the managers gave us a free Appetizer for our first time being there, the waitress was Awesome
Everything here was amazing. We went here on New Years Day for a late afternoon lunch. The service was top-notch. The burgers were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for our dog to feel safe and relaxed in.
I would like to share my appreciation for Kayla, the manager at Lazy Dog. We truly appreciated her help today. She was extremely supportive and understanding when our DoorDash order was left behind by the dasher, and we ended up receiving the wrong order. Kayla stepped in right away and handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. She was incredibly sweet, patient, and genuinely cared about making things right for us. Her level of customer service went above and beyond our expectations. We hope that Lazy Dog management recognizes the outstanding work she does. Kayla absolutely deserves a tip, a bonus, or even a raise for the way she represents the company. This is exactly what great customer service should look like. Thank you, Kayla, for turning a frustrating situation into a positive experience.
Dog friendly 😀 Perfect dinner outdoor seating even had a pup menu items and water they serve in disposable dishes. The food was great. I expected typical Denny's type food since it was pet friendly. Pleased to say it was not and well worth it and everything was great. I tried bison meatloaf which was nice. Everyone enjoyed the meals across from the fire pit. In the rain and it was still comfortable.Inside no pets are allowed so cool for people who prefer no dogs. All dog were behaving no barking, or running around. Much needed space for dog mommies who don't also want fast food while out with you pup. My teen recommends the s'mores brownie sundae in his words it tastes like "Happiness"😁
Went with family. Great vibes of the place and we got a great server as well. Food: Fish Taco was simply delicious! Lettuce chicken wraps not so much. Crispy wings were decent enough. Triple chocolate mousse was also delicious as expected. Will try more of the fish dishes that they have later on. Apparently, their salmon is quite famous.
We went, snd go often for happy hour. Hapoy hour wine around 4$, great deal on mixed drinks, and beer. Lots to choose from with food specials. They have an excellent burger $7 or 8, fantastic asian lettuce wraps, lots to choose from. Great happy hour. Service is was good, outside area was great. Portable heaters, and a nice setting. Inside is a little chilly for me, but I get cold easily.
The service was amazing! Devin and Chase delivered the most amazing customer service. The food was exquisite and speedy. The tomato soup was the best part of my meal. I left being happy with the whole dinning experience.
Great ambience, good hygiene and the food was just super. I loved the goat cheese with black pepper jelly. all the items we ordered were prepared well and super tasty. Only thing where the place fell short of was the portion size for the bowl. Quantity of rice was very less. Otherwise everything was superb. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and would visit it again.
Great service. Friendly waitress Briana and waiter Brad. Dog friendly as long as your dog is on a leash and not aggressive. Great variety of food and all taste good and large portions so the price you pay for is worth it. Nice Ambience. Fireside is a plus. Dog menu and outside area if you bring your friendly dog is a plus.
Honestly best chicken quesadilla I have had in a very long time. The tortilla was perfectly crispy and I believe had fried cheese on the outside of the shell. The sweet potato tots paired perfectly with my IPA. Another perk of the place it had a super nice patio and wifi so I was able to sit outside, have a beer and get some work done. Totally worth checking out.
I’m a fun to this restaurant because my dogs can have a little treat with me. I’ve visited the restaurant several times, I this is the restaurant I’ve visited the most since I moved to this area. We always have a good time and the food is good. Prices are very affordable and the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, specially around the fire pit during winter months and if you’re fun of football 🏈 they definitely have a screen for you to watch the game. Blessings.
We took our girls volleyball team to Lazy Dog for a team bonding dinner and couldn't have been happier with our visit! The staff was attentive and kind, even with the chaos of a large party. All the girls loved their food. I would definitely recommend Lazy Dog Newark!
It was busy but the wait wasn't bad. My bison burger was really good! The lemon pepper tater tots were really tasty! Service was Excellent!
We keep going back top this place, because the food, service and atmosphere are just perfect. Plus, the menu is so various, that each time we go there, there is something different to try. 100% definitely recommend!
Niea and I tested the waters, she exhibited excellent manners and was delighted with the complimentary treats we received during our visit. Thank you Jason & Kacey Ridgeside K9 NorCal. @lazydog in Newark thank you to our server Malia and the manager Sergio. I found my Happy Place in the Bay Area
Sofia was an amazing server! Very attentive to our table and made sure we had everything we needed. She made amazing food and drink suggestions. Will definitely be coming back!
Our waiter Sofia was absolutely amazing! Excellent service! Friendly and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Truly a 5-star experience!”
Been here a couple times with my wife now & food was GREAT. But the bartender Deven is what made our review 5 STARS! Drinks were delicious and service was top tier. Thank you Deven will, definitely be a new go to spot.
First time for some in my group but Second time here for me ! Sergio gave us a warm welcome and made our lunch time experience enjoyable. Portions were plentiful and tasty. The Cuban Sandwich had all the right touches ! Pot roast was tender and filling. Crispy rice appetizer was a great start !! And I had everyone try the Huckleberry lemonade !! Korean dish disappeared in a flash. Everybody had a great time, atmosphere was cool and fresh. Seating comfortably spacious ! Recommended !!!
Took the family to have dinner here due to my daughter having a dog. We called and they told us it is a pet friendly Restaurant with a covered patio. They even have a dog menu! Totally satisfy with the food service and environment. We shall return. Prices were moderate.
Been here numerous times & always loved the food. This is long pending review for this restaurant. Went here with my friend on Friday night. We had warm welcome by the staff. We ordered Margarita and Cucumber Thyme Lemonade. Lemonade was very very refreshing. I simply loved it because it wasn't very sweet and infusion of flavors were great! We also ordered Sweet Potatoes Tots and they were delicious 😋 Had Fettuccine Alfredo and that was lip-smacking. I must admit that it has different presentation and taste than other places. Definitely visit again soon! Thank you for everything!
Friendly staff and, luckily no wait on Saturday—we were seated right away. Since it was a first visit for someone in our group, they even brought a complimentary appetizer. Drinks were great—definitely try the margarita pitchers! We also ordered Brussels sprouts appetizer, it was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and offered great vegetarian suggestions. We’d happily come back soon.
Lovely experience especially as a dog owner. I just got a 8 month old puppy and haven’t taken her to restaurants much and they were so accommodating. They had a doggy menu (beef or chicken rice bowls) and gave her a water bowl all for $5! She loved it. For us 2 legged folks, we went during happy hour and sat outside. Recommend: calamari and the bacon wrapped hot dog. Don’t recommend the Cajun fries it was too salty. Overall will definitely be back with the fur baby :)
Atmosphere is cute, very Texas style. Food was an absolute disappointment. Got the Cajun fries, heavy handed with the seasoning & has a bitter taste, the Alfredo pasta was DRY and no flavor, the $17 Cesar salad would have been better from a pizza place or something. Even the pink lemonade had no flavor. It didn’t even taste like regular lemonade, just a weird water. BUT the crispy rice tuna things were delicious 10/10. This was a waste of $80. Service was weird, food was cold even though they just brought it out. I had to ask for the basic utensils & the server brought everything one by one, going back & forth from the back kitchen because he couldn’t remember what I asked. Literally just napkins, straw, and ranch. But we all can be forgetful sometimes. My mistake was picking up to-go. Update: I added stars all around because I went back & dined in this time. Outside has a fire place with an open roof with low ambient lighting, very cute. Drinks were delicious & STRONG. We got the Bison burger (7/10) & Bison meatloaf (10/10!) Marilou & Kayla - the managers have a great team & really made sure my complaints were heard & addressed.
Had the absolute best experience! Went there for valentine's day and our server Nelly was incredibly friendly and super easy to talk to. She helped make our first time dining there memorable, and the food was amazing too. Will definitely go back soon.
I had best experience in this location. services are outstanding, my husband and I had their happy hour. Meat ball is $7, quesadillas is $11, bud light $3. Very affordable, great vibes, wonderful service. Definitely come back again
I've written a review before on Lazy Dog on Yelp, but felt compelled to leave a review here after a recent experience. My family and I have always loved this place and appreciated the quality of food and proximity of it's location to our home. Over the weekend we had the pleasure of being served by Chase, a funny and warm server. He gave us great menu recommendations (as there were changes in the appetizers and a different steak / butter we hadn't tried). But overall he was just very personable, hilarious, and raised the customer service experience there. We've had great servers in the past, all of whom had provided little generous tidbits here and there or had very positive personalities. Chase was just super memorable and someone I wanted to highlight.
I was pleasantly surprised about this fabulous restaurant. EVERYTHING is made from scratch with all natural ingredients. The menu is way more nutritious and healthier than I anticipated. Chase the lead Chef sent a few complimentary items to our table that were incredible. I didn't know cauliflower could taste so good. Their menu supports vegetarian and vegans and flexetarians (I will eat anything) like me! Sam provided great service. Oh and many people think it's a hot dog place because of the name. There's NO HOTDOGS on the menu, and that's a good thing! I will be back next time I am in the area.
Came here for a quick bite, and was very pleased by the service and food. Highly recommend coming. Everything was clean and came quickly. Can’t go wrong with a lazy dog visit. You are in good hands if your server is Nelly!
We had a fantastic experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, thanks to Sophia at the bar. She was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us excellent feedback on the wine selection, helping us choose both a great white and red. The Three Thieves white wine she recommended was perfect. Sophia also nailed the food suggestions — we ordered the Kung Pao chicken and wok-fried rice, and both were delicious. To top it off, she encouraged us to try dessert, and the warm cookies with a scoop of ice cream were absolutely worth it. Amazing service, great recommendations, and a genuinely welcoming attitude. We can’t wait to come back — thank you, Sophia, for such a wonderful experience!
This Review is long overdue!!! Sergio Herrera was a phenomenal manager and made our wrong right!!! We experienced a delay with our food , which then came out cold . We asked to speak to Him and he was so pleasantly kind and made sure to comp some of our food and asked if we wanted to wait for another hot meal. Thank you for the best customer service we definitely will be back
LD is one of our favorite places to go to where we know we will have the best food, drinks, and especially service!! Over the years we’ve been so impressed with the variety of dishes they create and how extremely shareable they are. The drinks are well crafted and delicious, especially the house craft Huckleberry Haze IPA (pls leave some for me;). I especially want to highlight the star to our experience each time at the Newark location is the staff. The staff is so attentive and their smiles never waiver even at the busiest hours. They are well versed in the menu and can make great suggestions if you feel overwhelmed by the vast selections (pls try the feta hot honey cheese dip). We’ve opted for this quite a few times and recommendations have never failed us. Lastly, I want to give a great thank you to the general manager Marilu. She leads with so much kindness and genuine care for both her patrons and staff that we always feel so at home and well taken care of. Thank you LD Newark team!
All of the appetizers were really good. The potato chips and tatot tots had a very distinct flavor. The sweet and spicy shrimp was also really good. But more than anything our server Ashley was amazing. Customer service was her top priority and she made sure everyone in our large group was taken care of. Expert!
Edit: Had to update the star count. I had to push it to 5 stars. I had that trout dip and had an out of body experience. That has dip has skyrocketed to my #1 spot on starters. Chefs kiss, not sure what mad scientist came up with that, but dang it is a WIN. My waitress Malia was a superstar ✨️ on all fronts. Very pleasant, helpful, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Which for me goes a long way, considering how indecisive I can be from time to time on food. The chicken and biscuits has its own charm also. A dish were the biscuit isn't the star of the show. Its a team player that melds well with the group. Lets start off with this place was busy during the brunch time on Saturday. The young lady that placed me at the table 2/5 My waitress definitely was 8/5. She was kind, informative, and very attentive. All while dealing with a large party of 40+ ppl. The food 3/5 Cooked well, just very light on the seasoning. The fried devil eggs 6/5 loved them. Overall not a bad spot. Food to price ratio is ok.
A wonderful atmosphere for groups, families and small parties. This particular restaurant also hosts your dog! There is a separate and comfortable area of the restaurant that offer a meal to purchase from the menu for your pet as well. On this day there were quite a few furbabies with their owners and all seem to be having an enjoyable time. I was there with a group of friends. Our order for drinks were taken expeditiously by our hostess. A few minutes later, our order for lunch was taken. Lunch arrived to our table under 15 minutes, very impressive as everyone's meals were at a good and enjoyable temperature and nicely presented. All meals were consumed with appreciation and very little leftover. Our time was not rushed, it was not too crowded and we were able to delight in more conversation. The check came and we requested separate checks but was not easily done at this time. She was able to separate our drink tab from our food tab. We all had pleasant time at the Lazy Dog restaurant.
1st time here, waiting for 13mins its friday night and bz night for them, assisted by Christian(GM I didn't know) took my order, and the server apologized to me for have me waited while he assisted the table next to me and didn't saw me. That is a nice gesture admitting his short comings. Order this and very well made and worth the wait. The another good part was the card machine will be brought to u, so u are safe in cards hacking. Thank u all from the staff and GM.
Absolutely delightful experience, the staff is pretty warm at the reception. There was no to pretty decent wait time actually. The drinks were quick to come out and were made to perfection especially then blueberry cocktails. There are many veggie only options with tofu such as Wok rice/ noodles or Thai Noodles. Even the enchiladas was super yummy! All in all a great place to dine in with super atmosphere!
Wonderful dining experience! Love the ambiance, cool and dark inside. Lovely sunlight filtered (dog friendly) patio! We opted to dine on the patio. Our server was personable and efficient! We shared an order of brussel sprouts - highly recommend! I had the Thai salad which I would definitely order again, and the tomato soup, very tasty! Mr. Wonderful had the burger and fries, there were no leftovers. We tried their craft cocktails as well - a chili mango margarita - yum! Mr. Wonderful had their classic margarita.
My family and I had an amazing experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant this past Sunday afternoon. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the manager in charge, who made us feel right at home. The environment is inviting, lively, and perfect for a relaxed afternoon out. The food is amazing and truly authentic — you can tell they make everything from scratch! It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such a welcoming atmosphere, but Lazy Dog truly hit the mark! This has quickly become our favorite restaurant, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service, delicious food, and a friendly vibe!
Some food items are really tasty, others are just plain. Staff can be hit or miss too. One time we got a girl that didn’t wanna be there and another a guy who was helpful and fun. They need more deals and specials. Watermelon margarita is fire! Bathrooms are clean and we also never have to wait to be seated.
3/2/26 Monday we ordered chicken lettuce wrap, house garlicky bread, sweet spicy sambal, walnut chicken salad sandwich. All taste very good. 2/8/26 Sunday went around 9:15pm n front desk lady said closing early for super bowl game, only bar area open. So disappointing 1/25/23 Wednesday Happy hour 3-6pm. Food was very good. Waffle-cut parmesan chips, sweet potato tots, chicken lettuce wraps, queso dip, Chipotle chicken quesdilla from happy hour menu and fried chicken sandwich with fries from regular menu. 12/20/22 Tuesday bought $50 GC with $10 promo 6/7/22 Tuesday went to get happy hour menu items for togo but lady said only for dine in n it was busy around 4:25pm. Also she said $44 for 3 menu items Chipotle chicken quesdilla, chicken lettuce wrap n Cajun fries. I immediately cancel the order. Looks very nice from inside.
Great local spot. Fun to try new things but I always come back to the pot pie!! My server Nelly was also amazing! She made my day! Thanks!
Ordered the build your own lunch which was actually quite large and well worth the cost. My wedge salad was a little dry, and it could use more dressing. But the lettuce was very crisp. The salad was cold or at what dressing there was was delicious. And the bacon was tasty. My half club sandwich was also a little on the dry side. It seemed that there was no condiment on it at all. A very nice heaping helping of meat, but on the dry side. I upgraded to tater tots, which were perfectly crispy, just this side of burnt. Delicious. A $6 soda is already expensive, but adding $1.50 per refill seems like pretty gauging. The Apple Cider Cole Slaw was a bit heavy on the cider side for me, but I don't like tart at all. The service was exceptional. I'm not a fan of restaurants allowing dogs--even on called Lazy Dog--as I don't need your pet's wayward fur in my food, and while it seems to be au courant and nearly ubiquitous in California to take your dog everywhere, it lessens the dining experience.
Overall excellence. Chipotle Cheese Quesadillas was deliciously crispy with just the right amount of chicken/cheese combination. Thai noodles not overly sweet and was tasty. Cuban sandwich taste exactly like the menu reads. Overall great place with many choices. Service was constant fast and food was received hot🔥 . One of our favorite to go spots.... seasonal watermelon 🍉 too easy to drink down.
Visiting from out of town and decided to stop in. Wish I had my dog with me as the seating outside looked pretty decent. As it is when I travel, I eat at the bar. I ordered mainly appetizers, lettuce wears, bacon candy, and a stir fry chicken dish. Food was excellent and the time from order to eat was spot on. Atmosphere was bright and hopping and the restrooms were very clean. The only thing that keeps me from giving a full five stars was the service at the bar. Was only approached once, to take my order then not followed up on at all. A new employee arrived to her shift and not once looked at me, smiled, or even asked if I needed another beverage. She seemed very disconnected and I found that odd, especially when working the bar. But you never know what people are going through in their personal lives. Anyway, I would return as the food was good for this type of venue.
I had a couple beers, my doggie had their chicken and rice and veggie dish and loved it! Bianca, our server was great. I’m going back soon and asking for her, as she made it very welcoming. The patio fireplace is a hit!!
I came here for a big group dinner and had a pretty good time! We sat outside in their patio area, and it was super spacious with a beautiful firepit. The service here was very quick (considering our big group size) and very polite. When they found out that it was my friend's first time in the US, they gave her complimentary chips and a coupon for an appetizer next time. We ordered a variety of appetizers, from their crispy rice tuna to brussel sprouts to candied bacon to firecracker shrimp. The favorites of the table were their crispy rice tuna and candied bacon. The entrees were alright, nothing crazy but reliable and good food. Not bad for big group parties.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a fun, laid-back vibe. The service is always friendly and attentive. But the real star of the show is the food - creative, delicious, and generously portioned. From their signature burgers to their seasonal specials, everything on the menu is a winner.
We visited the place today first time and they have pretty big.menu. Food was good looking but taste was average. Service was good and waitress cared about party having good experience. I recommend the Ahi Tuna salad and umami fries. Beer sampler was not all that great. In all, I can't say if I recommend the place but people should try if they want to explore someplace different from their favorite list.
The reason I gave the service a 2 was at the bar there were 3 people behind the bar a girl with red hair that had the attitude of i dont want to be here she did not once check on our group of 5 people then we closed out the first tab my buddy paid with a 100 bill the guy came up with the card reader are you serious the he taked the 100 and has to leave the bar to find the red haired girl to break it then he finally gets his chage which too like 8 minutes then my other buddy says to the girl can I get another beer her expression was like really like were bothering her I said let's all do another round and I will put it on my card there was another blonde girl that was getting trained by miss personality then this big Guy came into the well area he was the only one that asked how every thing was and he was the only one that put all the glasses in the washer the 3 other workers just stood in the corner and talked to each other . Looks like Bar Rescue needs to come in and fix some personel issues we had apretty large party for food and those servers were great one order took a long time and the manager came up to him and offered a salad or soup fir the inconvenience so the food area is spot on but the Bar the service was a 2
The food was not bad. I ordered the salmon plate, and it was fine. I really like their beers. I recommend trying the Huckleberry beer—it’s one of my favorites! 😍😍 The only thing they could improve is hiring someone who can speak and understand English better. The waiter who helped us could barely communicate in English. The lady at the door was really gentle and she was able to accommodate our last minute reservation.
Lazy Dog has a friendly atmosphere, nice selection of food and drinks. Been to many location plenty of times. Outdoor doggy friendly dining. We got our drinks and burgers but then our waitress disappeared for almost 2 hours. Other waitress and hostess kept on denying to order for us "oh sorry, let me find your waitress, I cannot order for her!" I guess she took off for the day or ended her shift without informing anyone. Another waitress finally took over and we had our 2nd round of beers then we left. I understand staff do not split the tips but if Lazy Dog wants to make more money something's gotta be done. Could have easily had 5 rounds with more additional finger food.
This review is based on the meal I had, which consisted of the Boneless Wings. They are like Tyson Frozen nuggets. Maybe that's a bit of a stretch but these are not quality boneless wings. They also barely had sauce and lacked flavor. The breading was also like a breadcrumb/panko like crust that just wasn't good. If these are fresh breaded chicken chunks, you couldn't tell. Wish I had stuck with bone-in. The fries and onion rings were good, average.
I really enjoyed this restaurant the 1st time I came, but when I went back after about 9 months it was not pleasant. After waiting over an hour the host yelled at me stating its not her fault and that there is nothing she could do about the wait. I responded by telling her that I was going off what I was told and that I just need to know how much more time since the wait was already double the time. She acted like she wanted to fight me. This company should train their front staff to be polite and respectful at all times. A guest should never be yelled at no matter what the situation is. She was very rude and unprofessional. Furthermore, I ordered 3 of the same entrees from my previous visit and it wasn't as good/flavorful. The waitress was sweet but my experience was ruined by the way I was treated by the host. I will not be returning to this restaurant, not due to the food but due to the mistreatment.
The online order times take longer than they estimate. It quoted me 10 minutes and took over 30 minutes which sucks if you’re starving. Their curb side pick up auto texts your order is ready when it’s not. I replied back using their text system and no one came out. I called and they stated they would bring it out when it’s ready. Since they never came out, I went inside to check. They told me their text system auto replies it’s ready when it’s not and that their text when you’re here function doesn’t work. On top of that, I asked for extra napkins and utensils…. I did not get napkins or utensils. This made eating my brownie Sunday impossible to eat from a hotel room and I ended up throwing it away 😩 Seriously disappointed in their lack of service - it’s definitely gone down hill!
I went to Lazy Dog first time after reserving the table.Sadly the moment we went at ambience to click few pictures they changed our table without informing us, although it wasn’t full so I will take back my 1.5 stars for that. Regarding the food , we’ll we started from appetizers and I wouldn’t lie they tasted yumm but the quality was too less as the ones shown in their pictures.Drinks were good and pineapple mojito was a hit!! Being a vegetarian there wasn’t much options for me to order food, in the end the food wasn’t that great as their appetizers were and our server was also not great !! He dint visit us to celebrate after serving the food! Well I don’t think I will go again!
Extremely pet friendly. But okay with food because it’s not really great in terms of sourcing. I felt the food lacked quality for human beings at least. Had a great time sitting outside for a wholesome full of conversation dinner with friends. Good gathering spaces for larger groups as well. Also, very little vegetarian options. Drinks are good
Pros: Great if you want to bring a dog or have a large party. Their hours are great as well Cons: Food is below average. Price for said food is above average. Wait times are sometimes an issue. The ugly. We received $10 gift cards since they took a very long time to receive our food. They just gave us the cards, we didn't ask for anything. That was originally a nice gesture until none of the cards actually worked.
Ordered a Chicken Pot pie for 4pm pickup. Received text that they were running early and my order was ready at 3:51pm. Drive over there as it was across the street from where I was staying. Arrived at 3:58 and responded to text that I was there and in stall #1. They texted back that a server would bring my order to me. I waited until almost 4:15 then we t inside and picked up my order myself. There were 2 managers talking at the counter and I told them I was there to get my order that they had texted was ready at 3:51. The male manager turned around and got the order and handed it to me no apology or anything. So my order sat out for over 20 minutes getting cold. I got back to my hotel and had to heat the meal in the microwave because it was now lukewarm at best. This is totally unacceptable!
I was visiting from out of state and my son recommended this place. At first it was okay and the people who greeted us were very pleasant. After waiting for over 2 hours for all of our food to come out we we very frustrated. The manager advised that they only had 1 cook and this is why they were so far behind. They should advise people that it may be up to 2 hours so they can decide if they want to hang out and have a few drinks or leave. In my case I was exhausted from my flight and just wanted to eat and go to bed so I would have come back another day. Also when we would tell our waitress we needed anything including the check, she would say, "I will be right back with that" and then disappear for 20 minutes doing who knows what because no one was getting much service. Her constant lying about coming back just made things worse. The manager gave us free dessert but with that long of a wait the more appropriate response would have been to give us the whole meal for free for the inconvenience. I am sure they have better days but when we went we had a terrible time. Again simply advising people of the possible wait times could have avoided all of this.
We ordered food for dinner. They delivered partial order. And the solution to this is they just refund the money. That doesn’t solve the problem, we had to arrange food at last moment at night. This has happened 2 times.
