You can’t visit the Buffalo area without stopping at an Anchor Bar, renown for creating the original Buffalo Chicken wings. These crispy, delicious wings disappeared off the plate faster than I could photograph. The pizza was surprisingly tasty and delicious. Service was impeccable.
Nice bar with delicious buffalo chicken wings. Also enjoyed a tasty peanut butter cup alcoholic shake. Lots of tvs around the bar to catch sports and the Olympics. Great service!
The staff and our wait staff were excellent and extremely friendly. Treated my wife very well (which helps me too). Food was ok/average. We had the wings since they are known as creating the Buffalo wings. Unfortunately, had better wings at other places. Atmosphere is excellent and place is very clean. Loved it here. Food is my only negative. The staff and atmosphere was wonderful.
Ended up going to this resturant after Nigara activities tired and very hungry. The taste of the sauce was so damm amazing - chose the chilli garlic honey sauce and buffalo rub. The taste, aroma of the sauce and hot wings was extremely delicious 🤤. Must try this famous place for Buffalo wings when in Buffalo.
service and food were great! within a couple minutes of sitting down, we put in our order. our server was fantastic with correcting an issue with our 50 wing order (1 flavor was incorrect) and delay with our kids pizza order. we got the original, honey, and habenero ranch. stick w/the original as it’s perfectly sauces, not too spicy or vinegar-y.
Had to visit here on our Niagara Falls trip! We love chicken wings and these ones were really great!! They were crispy, which is how we like them. We tried multiple flavors, all delicious. My favorite was garlic parm and the original mild. 😍 They were able to easily sit our party of 11. The prices were a bit pricey but we expected that in a tourist area.
Best wings I've ever had. Friendly waitress and quick refills and quick food. Always has a sports game and a friendly atmosphere.

Excellent service & great food/drinks!! As a celiac it was such a treat having fried food in a dedicated fryer!! Exceptional service from Crystal & Lynnsi!
The wings were outstanding the original medium flavor along with the blue cheese sauce for dipping definitely return for the wings!

The martinis and honey bourbon bbq wings were awesome. The lemon pepper wings and Roast Beef on Weck were VERY salty. And I usually love lemon pepper wings. The weck roll was covered in salt and seeds. Service was friendly :)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 I recently visited Anchor Bar in Niagara Falls and overall, it was a really satisfying experience. This legendary spot, known as the birthplace of Buffalo wings, did not disappoint. I ordered their classic wing platter with a side of celery and blue cheese dip. The wings were flavorful and perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of Buffalo heat—not overpowering, but definitely packing personality. Portion sizes were generous, which is always a plus. The interior has a warm, casual vibe—cozy booths and some historic photos lining the walls that pay homage to the bar’s legacy. It’s not a huge place, but I got seated quickly and service was friendly and attentive. I also sampled the fries, which were hot and seasoned nicely. Service-wise, a couple of minor hiccups: my order took a bit longer than expected (around 20 minutes), and the side of coleslaw was a bit soggy. It didn’t ruin the experience, but I’d love a little more consistency. Prices were reasonable for the portions and quality—some things (like specialty sauces) were a bit on the pricey side, but understandable given the location and iconic status. Overall, Anchor Bar is a solid stop for wing lovers or anyone interested in a slice of Buffalo food history. I’d give it another visit—just hoping for faster turnaround and crispier sides next time.

Service was very slow, and I was 1 of 2 tables. A beer & wings ran me nearly $50. Poor service & high prices! This is a tourist trap. Take your money elsewhere.

The anchor bar is where wings that we know of was founded I will just say that the service was excellent the wings were good but for the price point at $20 for 10 pieces all the wings that are served should be of the highest quality mine wasn't, therefore that's where the three rating comes for the wings the level of detail when you pay$2 per half half of a wing they should all the excellent and be worthy worth of eating the beef on wick what's average the service was good. I tried other buffalo wings in the area and was more satisfied by wings at the other establishments.
We stopped by the Anchor Bar while visiting Niagara Falls and had a solid overall experience. Drinks were good, beer was ice cold (which always matters), and the real standout was the bartender. She was serving both the bar and restaurant tables and absolutely rocked it — friendly, efficient, and on top of everything. That kind of hustle deserves recognition. She was easy to talk to and welcoming to locals and visitors. The wings were okay. Good, but not life-changing. If you’re going for the history and the “original Buffalo wing” experience, it’s worth trying — just manage expectations. The pizza actually surprised us. It definitely filled us up, which is what we were hoping for. Just don’t go in expecting New York City-style pizza and you’ll enjoy it for what it is — solid, satisfying bar pizza. It’s softer crust and fluffy - flavorful and the small was too much to finish for us after wings - not a complaint though!! Overall: a fun, casual stop with strong service, cold beer, and filling comfort food.
I was so excited about trying the wings at the famous Anchor Bar. I ordered the original because I wanted the closest thing to what made this place famous. Honestly, if I was one of the characters in the old story, I wouldn't have tried the wings again, and they'd probably have not ever become known for wings. This original recipe can't be the original. They were soggy, and the sauce had zero spice. If you're on the search for good wings, this is not the place. Your money would be better spent at Bar-Bill North. On the positive side, our server was really friendly and helpful.
The wings were cooked from being frozen so they were somewhat soggy instead of slightly crispy on the outside. The sauce was weak in the "traditional" Franks medium heat way I typically get them. The…

The HVAC system was persistently dripping on a table near us. There was also a sour smell when walking into the restaurant. The wait staff were nice, but not always attentive. Their dry rub Buffalo wings were overly salty and not a great flavor in general. Prices were also a bit higher than expected. Other Anchor Bar locations are significantly better than this one.
I went there with my husband and ordered a strawberry and pecan salad. To my surprise, the strawberries were all bad, and one piece even had mold on it. I complained, and the manager removed the item from our bill, but it was really frustrating that a place would serve food in that condition. If this is happening, it’s likely not the first time. The drinks also tasted like they were made with very cheap ingredients. I would never go back , everything felt low quality for the price they charge.
Awesome service. Free parking if you dine in. The quality of the food was nice but we found the wings to be on the dry side, not that they didn’t have sauce, they did have nice quantity of sauce, and we got the dip sauce, but inside when you bit the wings is dry. The drinks were tasty, and the fries were the highlight of the food. A bit too expensive for the type of food. $177 with tip for 4 people. 2 alcoholic drinks, one sweet tea and water

Absolutely disgusting meal. chicken was overcooked, dried out, and the pasta tasted like nothing but Velveeta cheese was spread all over it. Foul.

The management was rude and abismal. Visited this place on a charter bus tour with older family during June. We got to-go box’s from a staff member to get breakfast at their “Anne’s Loft” for my disabled grandparents in their hotel room because they have trouble walking. A different staff member told their manger that I was doing this (I guess assumed I was stealing but didn’t ask me). The manager storms up there and starts shouting at me in front of my whole tour group telling me I wasn’t supposed to be there. Didn’t ask me if I was with a tour group or anything, and insulting me the whole time.Talked to another in my group later and they said she was definitely attacking me. Embarrassing. I tell her I was there for my disabled grandparents, she gets white in the face, doesn’t apologize and walks away. Then sends a staff to tell me I can’t sit and eat my breakfast because of the to-go boxes (making no sense). Then later while having dinner, I ask to buy a shirt at the anchor bar hostess stand. This took about 3+ hours to do because the manager decided that walking around the restaurant talking to other customers was more important than helping me get a shirt for my family which takes five minutes. He completely forgot about me. I stood there for hours not able to find anyone else at the stand after watching him walk in and out of the back twice, making me miss my dinner. Finally after getting my shirt and getting back to my table I noticed that my order was wrong and had to ask for them to remake it to-go as the restaurant was getting ready to close. Both management was very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. The lady had dark hair, glasses and was short. The man was tall, lanky and bald with glasses. I’m hesitant to go to New York again because of how these people treated me so disrespectfully.
This place is a typical tourist trap restaurant in a hotel. The bartender looked us over for about 15 minutes before taking drink order. About 10 minutes after she received our order the manager noticed we were sitting for a while with nothing in front of us. Thankfully he did fulfill our order but when i mentioned we had been sitting a while he seemed to be annoyed that i had mentioned it rather than correcting the bartender who overlooked us. On another hand, at no fault to the staff, the food quality was VERY low. The burger i got was definitely a frozen patty that was one of the worst i have had in a while. Moving on to the facilities, the bar seemed to be nice enough with easily visible TV's to watch the game. The bathrooms on the other hand, Awful! very dirty and the trashcan was literally overflowing onto the floor in a pile, i honestly couldn't believe anyone would let it get to that point (will include photo to believe it!) Again, this place is more for convenience than quality.
