If you're not paying attention you could easily drive by Salisas. So make sure you don't. The food is fantastic and is accompanied by amazing service! Sal and Lisa truly show they care about everyone who walks through their door. Jackie and Jackie are amazing at taking care of customers as well. Extremely attentive! Whether you live in the area or not, make this a mandatory stop the next time you're in the area.
Food is great and the staff is friendly. The only gripe I have is that it's a small place, so coming in with a group larger than 4 is difficult.
Everything here is homemade, including the soup. The food is delicious. It is on Niagara Falls Blvd across from the airport. It is almost impossible to find. Extremely small. The service is wonderful. There are specials every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a children's menu. I would definitely recommend visiting for a meal in a city, which basically is extremely touristy. There is complimentary parking.
Excellent choice for breakfast. Since we were not from the area. We wanted to try a local spot!! Glad we came here!
Small, clean, friendly, good food. No complaints. If and when I come back to this area, I'm definitely without a doubt WILL BE EATING HERE. LOVED IT. Thank you Salisa's and staff.
The food is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. It's a family favorite of ours.
Just ate here with my pops and it is such a great breakfast, one of the best I ever had. Definitely loved it, it's tiny but a great place. Definitely recommend it. Lots of history here.
This was my first time at this diner, we found it from Google while searching for a breakfast place. The service here is exceptional, the entire staff was friendly and accomodating to our large group of 16. The food took a little bit of time to be made but that was expected with our large group, and for the quality of the food that was served the wait was definitely not an issue. I highly recommend this diner for breakfasts, if I wasn't on vacation and had the time to stop by to try dinner I definitely would!
Isn't a better diner experience. Owners treat you like family. Customers get to know each other. It's like going home for dinner. Food can't be beat. They even ask "Do you want your regular today?
Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly service. We love going here.
This is how I imagine a Diner! The service was absolutely kind and the food was freakin‘ good! You feel very welcome and it felt familiar. Don't miss it, worth a visit.
Went here for the first time, on a whim. Variety is the spice of life, right? It was delicious, the club sammy was large and well cooked. Give it a try if you haven't already, great value and quality 👍
Good food, fast paced diner. My breakfast cooked the way I wanted it. In & out and on with life. Will visit again for sure.
Great little cafe with great food and service at a reasonable price. You'll love their sausage links, which are especially tasty. They have lots of options on the menu and they are quick to get your meal.
Wonderful small place. A diamond in the rough. Absolutely loved the food. Very beautiful blonde worked the front taking orders. A must go to restaurant!!!!!
Great food, lovely small family run experience!
The food is always excellent and the staff friendly!
While small on the inside, the quality of our meal was off the scale. I’ve never had a more enjoyable breakfast! Service was fast and the overall experience was fantastic!
I had a BLT. Our waitress was very sweet with a happy smile on her face. It isn't a big place, but food is good and people are friendly.
Jackie and the team make you feel right at home. Friendly place with excellent service and really good food at fair prices! My favorite place to go for a great home-cooked meal!
Very small and dated dining room, but the cheerful staff more than compensates for that. The food was hot & delicious and the service exceptional!
Small diner, but don't be discouraged. The food was excellent. My son never eats his whole breakfast but he devoured the plate of blueberry pancakes.
Always friendly, food is good!
First time visiting and I guarantee I'll be back again and again. Coffee was divine. Fresh, hot and fill of flavor. The place was impeccably clean. Service was fast and friendly. And while you may not get a $2.99 breakfast special, you're going to walk away full and satisfied and with some change in your wallet. It's sure to become one of my new, go-to breakfast joints. I didn't look much at the lunch and dinner menus since I was focused on breakfast. But I don't feel like they have much for vegetarian options which is fine. But I would bet of you went for a burger , it would be delectable.
Happened upon this place while camping and had breakfast here. We live in the netherlands and it was just great, a little diner with great atmosphere, good food and really nice service!! Way better than some chain restaurants. Would definitely recommend!
I went there with my whole family and everyone loved it we will definitely come back !
I haven't been here in years, stopped in, for a delicious meal, made fresh. Staff has always been very welcoming. I was shocked that the waitress still remembered me. It was nice to get the update on her children. Another reason to send your business to small local businesses, at Salisa's they're always willing to put in the extra effort.
A small but amazing little restaurant. Quiet and friendly atmosphere, with great staff. The food was filling and tasted oh so good. I recommend.
I love this restaurant and stuffs. Food was amazing & delicious. BUT!!! They took like a life time to serve the food!!! We waited 1h after order!!! Other than this they are super lovely. Want to go there again!!!
Went for breakfast. The food was good, the service was friendly and prompt. Will be visiting again.
Everyone here was so kind from the employees to the other guests. The coffee was great and food was too!
Hostess / counter / server! She did it all! She was amazing! I got breakfast for lunch and everything was made to perfection. Exceptional diner! Would bring all of my family here is we lived in Niagara Falls. Delightful visit. Will be returning.
Salisa’s has a great mom and pop feel. You enter and you can see the locals that have become regulars. The food is well worth a stop in! We ordered pancakes and they were HUGE! I’ve you’ve got a big appetite this is the place for you! Plus, they have a tasty mimosa that isn’t too expensive. 10/10 recommended !
Fantastic breakfast! A little hard to notice from the road (both times we've gone, we've had to turn back). Quaint little dining area with tables and a coffee bar. Coffee was hot, and the breakfast delicious. We've come back several times and they're incredibly friendly too, they remember you.
I love Salisa’s! My grandpa and I go there very often, and we are always satisfied when we leave. All the people are very friendly. I love making friends with the owners, waiters and waitresses, and the other regulars that go there. I highly recommend this place, and I appreciate everybody that runs it!
My mom , husband and I were in Niagara Falls for a funeral. We stopped in to have breakfast and the whole experience was wonderful . The food was very good , the prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. I've been in the restaurant business for 30 years so I'm very critical when it comes to servers but Jackie and Jackie made our visit very enjoyable. We will go back !!
Can’t say enough about this restaurant the food is incredible the fish fry the best .Been patronizing that little restaurant since it was called my place in the mid-70s I just had the turkey lunch special absolutely delicious . One hard working and talented girl on her own took care of everybody a hustler that makes it look easy . I would go there if the food was terrible just to watch her work like a Swiss watch
This place is a jewel! Mom and Pop type of shop. Great for breakfast after a long flight. Atmosphere is great as if frozen in time. Service unparalleled and honest, they treat you as if you went there every day. Most customers are locals that indeed go every day. Don't miss it if you are visiting the area. Come often if you live around.
The breakfast was great! We enjoyed a vegetarian dish (blueberry French toast + scrambled egg wrap) and the "Best Breakfast in Town". Service was very good, friendly and attentive. We definitely would eat there again.
A hidden gem. My favorite breakfast is closed one a day a week so I tried this one out while I was visiting back home in NF. This place is fantastic. We all ordered omelets and they were all packed with lots of delicious goodies! Definitely will go back and highly recommend!!!!
This place is GREAT in so many ways! The food is absolutely delicious! The owners are such good people who really care about the customers and the food they cook! The servers are friendly. All around great place!!!
A very small, quaint surprisingly delightful diner. The service was friendly - they even brought coloring books and crayons for my two kids, 5 and 8. They had covered cups for the kids as well (I always love touches like that). There was a big tv at the front, which helped you keep track of the morning/daily news. The breakfast was delicious. There seemed to be quite a few "regulars" there who all greeted and said goodbye to eachother by name.
After visiting Salisa's, I can say that it is my favorite place to eat breakfast. The food is amazing and pretty cheap, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and all of the staff take the time to learn about the regulars, and are incredibly friendly. I would give Salisa's a 10/5 if I could. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast, but they also have good dinner and fish fry on Fridays as well.
First trip here! Immediately loved the small and cozy atmosphere of this teensy diner. Whenever I first get to a diner for the first time I always order the combination plate, 2-2-2, or whatever the equivalent is; it did not disappoint! I'll be back to try the rest soon.
Was the corned beef hash made with mashed potatoes or were the potatoes cut so small that I thought they were? I'm not sure but it worked. They were great The pancakes were large, soft and fluffy.
This is a small, local breakfast and lunch spot. The food was fantastic. We had a delicious breakfast that was perfectly cooked. The portions were plentiful. The people were very friendly and welcoming. We found this place while on a road trip, and were greeted like old friends. Glad we ate there!
Hidden gem! I was passing though on a cross country trip and it was amazing. Sat at the bar. The server was great, food came out quick as was fantastic. The home fries were especially good!
Great little family owned diner! Traditional diner fare done very well at a good price. Very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. I would definitely go back.
Not for everyone , but if you like a good meal that tastes home cooked . At a small family run dinner this can't be beat. Only serves breakfasts and lunches . Good food , generous portions , friendly staff at a fair price. What is there not to like about this hidden gem ?
My friends and I go in on Thursdays for the turkey dinner. Absolutely delicious. The owners are so nice. Highly recommend.
The coffee was amazing the portions were filling and the extras like a side of bacon and a pancake were less than $8. For two. The bill was $26. I’m going back. You should too You’ll love the staff too
I can't say enough about this place, warm inviting, and great hosting. Angie and Jackie were so sweet and down to earth. We enjoyed the company and oh the food was great. All in all a wonderful experience. My family has not been able to stop boasting about the food or company. They also have a lot of regulars who they all know by name and have a great relationship with. My only complaint is I can Only give 5 stars
Love small mom and pop breakfast establishments i know breakfast is a standard thing usually bacon and eggs but let me tell you this place knocks it out of the park you can tell that it was farm fresh eggs the bacon was not salty like most places the home fries were fresh cut well done and seasoned the toast seemed fresh like it was from a local bakery just amazing my kid had the pancakes and omg amazing so fluffy and tasty I started with one bite to try and then another lol the server was amazing friendly very attentive to my our needs highly recommended this local establishment as we walked in i guess a regular did as well love it when staff know the customers on a personal basis i truly fell in love with this place and you don't even feel bloated after eating that's how you know it's quality food try this
We had the best food at this little diner! It has an old world American charm. They gave us great service. They were great with my son. The kids chocolate chip pancakes my son ordered were super thick! My son wanted everyone to know he rates their pancakes 1,000 out of 10, the best he's ever had. I loved the stuffed acorn squash, a super rare menu item, but they rocked it! We came by on off hours, so they weren't busy at all, it was great!
Ok, this is the FIRST place I've eaten at in the United States of America in years of living overseas working for the military and I don't think I could have picked a more unsuspecting delicious surprise. My friends and I were blown away at the portions on our plates, the delicious adorned carbs, and the super friendly staff. Lovely ladies!
August 2018 I'm back!! ...and for good reason! I stand by everything said below! I love that I don't have to explain in great detail how an over, med-well egg is supposed to be! The ham reminds me of a Christmas ham, mmmmmm!!! Love, love, love Salisa's!!! Also added a picture of the food. Well, not really. Guess you're just going to have to go see for yourself!❤❤❤ July 2017 Best coffee in town! Food and service were great! Home fries were cooked perfect- a bit crispy, just like I like them. I ordered eggs over med-well and they were perfect. No runny whites with yolk liquid. The owner came in and before getting to work, she made a point to say good morning to everyone. I'm in town for work from Texas and went back on Monday for more of the greatness... unfortunately, they were closed 😢 The place is small and cozy but well worth it. Plus they have beer and wine!
I'm almost hesitant to review this place as I want to keep it all to myself, but that would be unfair to the wonderful staff at Salisa's. We've been coming every Saturday morning for about 2 months now, and every time the coffee is hot, the breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly. If you're in search of a small neighborhood diner, this is the one!
Such a delightful place to eat in! We wanted to stay all day. We had breakfast which was huge and delicious! Made to order. The waitress, I think she was the owner was so funny and nice!
The beer batter fish is excellent. We also had the French Onion Soup very well made.and delicious. Reuben sandwich was great. Service was excellent. Can’t go wrong with food here. Highly recommended
Usually when places offer all day breakfast, the quality takes a hit. Went about an hour before close, eggs were perfect and coffee was hot. This place hits.
Perfect small diner. Awesome service from our waitress! Definitely coming back! Rather support a small diner than a big corporate restaurant
Great breakfast and service. Restaurant was busy but no wait, food service was excellent. It's very clean too. I'll be going back to try their lunch and dinner food.
Great food, service, and friendly atmosphere :)
Love this place very personal. You feel like you’re welcomed.
No frills amazing food! Not a lot of seating so get there early!!!
A cute little diner with some delicious fare. I was delightfully surprised because the outside looks super unassuming but this will be added to our regular rotation of breakfast/lunch venues. The biscuits and gravy were fantastic, the home fries with the perfect crunch, and I had a BLT that was toasted to perfection.
The minestrone soup was amazing, the pancakes were enormous and fluffy, and the creative omelette was exquisitely made. High-quality ingredients for sure!
I loved Salisa's! They advertise home cooked food like grandma would make & honestly it was even better. I came for breakfast and got a classic eggs, bacon, homefries, and toast. Coffee is included with the combo. The bacon was a generous portion perfectly cooked and the homefries were fantastic - super flavorful and just the right balance between soft and crispy. Eggs were cooked to order and can't go wrong with Italian toast. The coffee was good and the whole meal came to only $15. I can't wait to go back to try more from the menu! 100% recommend for fast, friendly service and delicious homestyle food.
First time going there food and service was fantastic all homemade, very friendly staff, will definitely be going back soon.
My wife (lunch) and I had (breakfast) both were top quality, took home a quart of chicken and it was as good as when my grandmother had made it decades ago
IT WAS SO CUTE IN HERE!!! SO QUAINT!! they gave us a free pancake with extra better they had :) Absolute gem of a restaurant
Great atmosphere and enjoyed the food. I love the small-town diner feel and this place definitely had it. Saw several regulars come in, so I knew it had to be a good place to eat.
I went to Salisa’s for breakfast and everything was so good. The waitress was kind, the food was tasty, I had a fruitppetizer. Definitely going back!
One of our favorite breakfast stops, the owner and staff are always so friendly, the food is good and affordable, it's understandable how they're so busy so often.
Great little find food was great and the waitress Sarah It’s great that’s her smiling taking a picture of us together with her Her dad cooked our dinner. Great dinner. Great family owned business Let’s go Niagara Falls and Western New York let’s support our own. Local Business George and Cathy Hoage 😀
The food was good, the coffee was good, the prices were low, and the service was friendly and quick. Salisa's is a little hidden gem that's worth the drive across town if you're visiting Niagara Falls.
Breakfast was delicious. Blueberry pancakes are nice and fluffy and big with lots of blueberries. The best Breakfast in town has eggs, homefries, meat and toast. Homefries are the best in town and bacon is very tasty. Servers are very good and friendly. The owners are great. Will definitely be a regular spot.
My daughter and I traveled to Buffalo for the AFC playoffs and came across this place because it was close to the hotel the day of the game. As soon as we walked in in our Bengals gear they booed us. But there were smiles behind those boos and simple competitiveness between our teams. We ordered breakfast and it was delicious. When we went to pay, our breakfast was paid for by the Bills mafia! I would highly recommend visiting this little gem.
Divey little roadside diner that offers up genius portions of tasty homemade comfort food. We stopped in and sampled the turkey plate lunch along with the chicken and biscuits specials. While the turkey plate was good. The stuffing was homemade with lots of soft breading and chunks of veggies; just like your grandma would make. The green beans were perfectly seasoned and strongly reminded me of my grandmas canned beans; my favorite. The turkey, and potatoes were good, needed just a touch of s&p Now to get down to the star of the show. Those chicken & biscuits. Imagine deliciously rich pot pie filling with a generous amount of shredded chicken mixed in, sitting on top of homemade biscuits. A deconstructed pot pie with tender veggies and packed with flavor. Service was quick and friendly. It's the type of establishment your grandparents frequent for dinner, and everyone seems to know each other. Portions are enough to share. Highly suggest giving this hole in the wall a try!
We happened upon this little gem on a random road trip and will be back for sure! The food was great very fresh and delicious, generous servings. The curly fries were crispy and tasty! Our waitress was very attentive but not excessive whenever we needed something she was right there to get it but it never felt like she was hovering. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very welcoming and felt like it was a real community! I would recommend this place to anyone and am excited to go back when I'm in town again!
Great little diner. Great prices. Great service. It's a family run business and there seems to be a lot of regulars, but even if you're visiting for the first time you're treated with very friendly service.
Good food and friendly service. I've only had breakfast but my only complaint would be the oversized dry pancakes. Everything else is eggcelent
Smallish seating area with counter service. Relaxed atmosphere. Food and coffee good. Had omelet which was served w/o any extras (comes with toast which I cannot eat due to dietary restrictions). The omelet was very tasty. It was apparent there are regulars here who are well known to the staff.
Small diner with real home-cooked food. Prices are reasonable and they have daily specials. The lone waitress was very efficient and friendly, seemingly knowing all of her customers by name. A very comfortable dining experience.
A cozy little spot by the Niagara Falls Airport. It has a mom & pop feel and a home cooking menu at reasonable prices.
Decent food, but very small. Service, although friendly, was a bit slower than expected. Good for 2 to 4 people for breakfast or lunch if you're not in a hurry.
Been coming to Salisa for many many years. Today, wasn’t the best. The older waitress was rude, fake and concerned with her regulars. (Who seemed to be upset that we were sitting at their booth) Waited for food and it was 11am. The roast beef special was swimming in water. Not sure how I spent $50 for two lunches and one was a special. Going down hill👎
I’m giving this 3 stars just because the price and quality of food don't match. But....it's a small quiet environment decorated with classic cars and the service was good. Everyone was polite and we felt welcomed.
I was there for a fish fry. It was ok. The fish was great. All the sides were like having a teaspoon of this and that and not very tasteful. Service on the other hand was horrid. The waitress was rude --never asked for refills on our drinks or if we would even want another drink. Never came back to us to ask us how the food was. I went up to the counter to get butter and tarter and asked for our bread and butter. She replied you do not get bread and butter. Oh I said it says on the menu we did. As far as the restaurant it was neat but could use some updating. I'm starting to think this restaurant has changed hands. It was never like this .
The older woman there today was completely rude and ignorant. She was racist because my boyfriend was black and treated us terrible. I will never go there again. She embarrassed my family and I am very upset. She should not have a job there .
Racist! In all possible ways you can explain it. First off me and my brother are Hispanics and active duty marine corps. We have a big family, and we took a family trip up to Niagara Falls. I chose Salisa’s as the reviews were good. Upon being seated the older waitress was very rude, but my mom kept telling me to hold my tongue and be kind. We occupied approximately 4 tables in the small establishment. When an older Caucasian customer walked in the older waitress looked at them and said “good luck dealing with this mess” and rolled her eyes towards my family. Disgusted by the treatment and being rushed to order I hardly touched my food. When I walked out of the restaurant and “STILL LEFT A TIP”. The waitress comes over and says “my dog wouldn’t even leave a plate like this.” It took everything in my power not to cause a scene that day. My dad said “god doesn’t like ugly and we left.” The pancakes were also extremely dry and she wondered why I didn’t eat two the size of the plate. If you are anything besides Caucasian I suggest eating elsewhere.
Should have checked comments before I went in. Sad to see I’m not the only colored person that went to this restaurant and felt mistreated. Food is average and the treatment to my family by the waiting staff was awful. Would go to another table and sound really pleasant, but would come with a face rushing us when it was time to order. Then the waitress was surprised when my husband was waiting for his $50 of change for a bill that wasn’t much.
The restaurant was very cute and cozy. We were greeted with a plate of fruit, which was awesome. Once we got our food, this is when it went downhill. We got the wrong toast, and we’re missing a plate of bacon. Waited forever for a refill on the coffee. The waitress never stopped by to ask us how our meal was even though we were sitting at the counter and she kept walking by us. So I was never able to let her know that I got the wrong toast or I didn’t get my bacon. Also, I asked for hot sauce and we got the most disgusting bottle ever, the bottle was greasy and the label was dirty. The bottle was missing its cap and it had dried crusty old hot sauce stuck to the top of it. Disgusting and dirty. We ordered orange juice and got some weird orange juice fruit blend in a bottle I found it to be poor service and a bit pricey for what you got. We probably would never go back to this place. There are much better options in the area.
