One of my favorite sushi places! Can't beat their prices for the quality! Their lunch specials are where it's at!!! Great service. Small parking lot and even smaller place. There's only like 2 or 3 tables in the whole thing. Ive always managed to find parking in the afternoon though.

This place is great! I went there last night with my friend. We loved the service, everyone is really sweet and awesome. The food is great! I'm a really picky person when it comes to sushi but this place is amazing. The place is small but really welcoming not too crazy, perfect for an intimate date night. Try it out !

I read reviews and decided to try take out. WOW is all I can say! So many option to choose from had me ordering a ton of food. I made two separate orders. Since it was a friend's birthday who is a vegetarian terrian and there were so many options I decided to yeah decided to order her food and drop it as a surprise. Economically and full of choices the lunch and dinner specials are amazing especially for the price and the amount of food Sonny puts in it. Let me talk about my order specifically I had a lunch special with sesame chicken Shrimp tempura that comes with vegetables. And deep fried calamari. Pros I can tell you the food and the amount of food was well worth Is $10 change Lunch special price. 2 critiques are are the tempora was a bit undercooked and doey is endowi still very tasty but I would have preferred it crispier is it crispier so that the flavor of the vegetable was a little more pronounced. The sesame chicken was amazing as well as the calamari. And again the portions on the food were amazing a especially when you consider the low price. The other items that come with it is a miso soup and a salad you can put that aside and save it for later Both were great. I also ordered a seaweed cucumber salad that was literally out of this world very tasty very fresh again very generous portion. I also ordered a cucumber avocado roll. Hand made Is fresh and tasty. Is olinol the food lasted 2 days. Although I did sample everything that same day. The only other criticism I would have is the dips there was not nearly enough it's not nearly enough or proper sized portions to cover all the food. Equally so my friends thank you came with a question how did you find that place the food was wonderful. Of course in her bag of food I I included a menu so she can be a new patron of this location in the future. Though it is a bit of a distance from home it's well worth the 16 minute drive. I highly highly recommend. Also the owner Sunny is always there helping prepare your food very friendly don't forget to say Hi. I will also add that there were a couple of negative reviews that had opinions about wait time I'm sure these are exceptions to the rule I came prepared with patience to wait but all of that food was made in record time they do stay busy. Sunnies takes credit cards and cash. I highly suggest if you do not like the add on 3.95 Charge to a credit card bring cash. But his prices are so low the add on is quite fair.

My husband and I eat here all the time because we live in walking distance. But even if we had to drive here, we'd be here just as much. All the wait staff are so nice and Sunny is as well. The sushi is amazing! And I've been eating sushi my whole life, this is the best!!! BEST!

This place is small but has excellent staff, quick service, very good food and veru affortable prices. I highly recommend this place if you wish to fill up on good Asian cuisine food and pay affordable prices. The place is not the most luxurious restaunt but is clean and cute with a lovely fish tank in the corner.

This little hidden gem is awesome. I came here shortly after pandemic, while i was driving through the neighborhood, lookin for a quick bite and was so impressed with the food & service. So this review is a little late but I remembered them tonight so placed my order on postmates :) Grace

Been coming here for years. Love their variety of rolls, always fresh! Pyramid roll and Dynamite roll are my favorite! Always very friendly.

Best sushi I have found in the valley! The service is absolutely wonderful, and the prices are competitive. It can be hard to find a parking spot, but quite the place if you can!

UPD. Sushi are really good for the price. The one thing that missing is great customer service. They never ask how are you and overall the attitude is not the best I would rate this place 5 stars. Even tho I tried better sushi. But let me tell you - dragon roll aka sunset roll that tastes really good for $11.99? Shut up and take my money Beef udon was also pretty good. The place itself looks old but its clean. Waiter was friendly and service was super fast. I would like to visit this place again. Good job!

So naturally when he opened his own restaurant I had to try it. I love the food here, great sushi, excellent prices, and of course Sunny is awesome. I try to come back whenever I can no matter how far the drive is. Sunny's Sushi is definitely 5 stars for so many reasons

I have ordered from Sunnys before on ubereats but never been to the actual location. It seemed like a constant rush of people coming in for orders. The prices are AMAZING. I got the shrimp tempura and philly rolls. 10/10 cant wait to return back to Sunnys!

This little hidden gem is in the same plaza as the 7 eleven, so it's really easy to miss. It is tiny with about 6 indoor tables and 2 outdoor two-tops. The service is fantastic and they have a really extensive menu with several inexpensive combo choices.

This place got me into sushi after being lukewarm on it my whole life…and it’s priced competitively with supermarket sushi! So good!

This place is a really nice hole in the wall joint. Lots of different options and all of the food was great. The only downside is that it's in a kind of lackluster spot of town, and they have very minimal seating. That being said, both times I've went there hasn't really been anybody there. So I imagine they do a lot of takeout. Fantastic place worth trying though.

Great lunch & dinner combos. Add a special roll for a big dinner. Tiny place, but friendly and fun. The fish is fresh, the other dishes are great. I had the roll with shrimp tempura and albacore. Tasty combo, well presented. All in all a great Japanese find in North Hollywood!

This is literally a hole in the wall. If you drive too fast you'll definitely miss it. So you better turn around and go back! This place is amazing! The sushi is delicious! The staff is polite and service is quick. I will say if you have more than three people, call ahead to reserve a spot. They have limited seating.

Would have been a 5 star if I didn’t have to wait 75 minutes for a to go order. Showed up an hour after ordering (even called the restaurant to see what time it would be ready as when I placed the order in Uber eats it said 30-45 min) and had to sit there for 15 minutes while they made my food. Too bad. I live super close and thought I’d found my new go to for sushi.

Customer service is not that great. Doesn't really want to take time and answer questions. Although our order was fresh but I will think twice about going back. I understand the order taker/cashier was trying his best to do the distancing, but at one point I thought maybe we are not welcome... only our money is allowed inside the restaurant.

Past two times we’ve ordered they have started hassling for tips. The driver was not even wearing a mask when he asked last time. Begging for tips is not a good business practice. I don’t think I’m ordering from this place again even though they are close and deliver. This time I ordered it to be arriving at my house at 5:30PM because I work until that time and wanted my food to be fresh, and they showed up at my house at 4:50PM and showed me my receipt with the correct delivery time on it. Customer service here is absolutely terrible. Food is decent, but only if you want to get your food at incorrect times, and have them beg for tips at your door without masks on.

We had enjoyed their combination salmon and teriyaki meals several times. The first time was excellent, but then we picked up a couple of orders with soggy tempura. Tempura should be eaten immediately, but they gave us a longer wait time than was necessary, I think, and the food sat there too long. Tonight’s meal was missing the tempura sauce and the employee’s attitude was basically, “Oops, I forgot to include it!” Call me fussy, but tempura without the sauce is not enjoyable. Guess they just lost a customer.

First time ordering a beef bowl and they gave me nothing but fat and rice , beyond horrible , the sushi is okay but twice they gave me bad tuna so no I do not recommend. Not worth it

Great food but the last 2 times left me with a really bad experience, first time I was not allowed to sit even tho there was tables available, and the 2nd time I was told they were busy but the moment I left they welcome another group. Almost feels personal

It's a shame that after reading such good reviews and wanting some good sushi, that I left my house an hour ahead of time before an acting class to try this place. Upon entering I made a clear that I was going to be sitting and dining and indicated a table, and asked to use the restroom, since I had just driven 45 minutes. However, I was told that I could not use the restroom and after saying that it is against the law to have customers and not have a restroom for them, another gentleman from the kitchen said "Oh you're going to eat here, well sit down first and order and then you can use the restroom." I walked out. That's unacceptable. Do better.

I wish I didn’t have to leave any stars. My husband and I just walked out of this place, Won (he said that was his name) approached me and asked me if I was eating there or picking up, I said eating here. He told me “just so you know it’s very busy and it will take long” I said “it’s ok” my husband comes in and he approached us again and said “just so you know it will take about 40 minutes for your food it’s very busy are you sure you want to waiting?” I did not know how to respond so I told him “you asked me already and I said we don’t mind but we feel unwelcome so I guess we will leave” he said “ok” wow. A group of 6 gentlemen had sat down minutes before me and my husband, not ones did he ask them if it was ok for them to wait, yet he asked us twice and allowed us to leave. My husband and I felt so embarrassed and disrespected, all this in front of the party of 6. Wow, shame on you Sunny’s sushi hut, for having someone in your establishment service ones who bring business to you”

I searched this place to order food, looked at the Google prices and they were great and I ordered the gentleman taking my order didn't tell me the price over the phone just told me it will be ready in 35 minutes, so I went there i asked if I can pay and he said yes sure. I asked him how much it was and he responded by saying it will say on the receipt. I saw the receipt and it looked way too much for what I ordered. I told him this isn't the correct amount and he said the google prices and these prices are not the same i said okay how is that my problem. I canceled my order for FASLE advertisement for one. What pushed me over was that I looked over and NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WERE WEARING MASKS/GLOVES. I don't usually get digested but that was just nasty.

Update: I got nauseous and my husband vomited that night after eating here. The rolls that contain spicy tuna were like a dry, hard paste with no color , no flavor. When I called to complain, they denied everything. But guess what? I have pictures ! Horrible experience. Never Again!
