This gets 5 stars from me because I've NEVER had a bad experience in this hole-in-the-wall! EVER! Much to be said for karaoke on MONDAYS! The crowd is so down-to-earth.

At the Bullet Bar, we have many types of events for many types of people. The bar has a long history and has gone by several names, including the Hanged Man, the Signal, and for awhile it was a strict uniform club called the Officers Club, and in that incarnation, you weren't allowed in the club in street clothes at all. As time has progressed over the last 18 years, the Bullet has become more and more popular with many segments of our ever growing and changing community, and while it holds its standing as one of the only leather bars in Los Angeles County, it also stands as a place where many other parts of our community can mix and hold important fundraisers for various causes that are important for the continuation and heathy living we all want to prosper. Groups like, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Payasos, Bears LA, all hold parties and fundraisers here. Also, Bullet bar is the home bar for several groups such as the Leather Foundation (LA Branch), and is the home bar for the pup community of Los Angeles County. Because of the multitudes of groups and regular patrons that come to Bullet Bar frequently, what you wear to the Bullet is necessarily under any requirements, but for certain events it is encouraged. The underlying atmosphere definitely calls out that this bar has leather roots, and celebrates individuality, and compassion in all types of people. It is d finitely important to note that this bar has two leather title contests that bear the name and insignia of the Bullet. Mr Bullet Leather, which has been going strong since 2001, and recently we held the very first Ms. Bullet Leather contest, in the hopes to continue to strengthen the community by creating equal attention to all LGBTQ people living in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. On a personal note, the owner of the Bullet, Michael Lara, has gone above and beyond in helping me realize my dreams, . After winning Mr Bullet in 2014, he has single handedly helped me strengthen the pup community by leaps and bounds in Los Angeles. The Bullet Bar held our first Los Angeles Pup contest last November, which held scores of pups from different generations in our area.

Happy Hours, Drag Bingo (Saturdays w/ Roxy or Spike... sometime Vi), Leather Nights, Kink Demos, Karaoke (twice a week w/ Don Mike or KJ Jeremy) Large Events (Glow Me, Chewi's Kennel, Shell Shock w/ Volta Charge, etc), Fundraising #SupportOthers, Non Profit support (LGBTQ+ center, Bienestar, + more) and all inclusive in the best way. The Bullet celebrates diversity regardless of race, gender identity, orientation or body type with some very amazing body positive nights (Bear Happy Hour, Underbear, and more). Drinks are powerful, good selection of drafts or tap (including bottled cider and hard seltzers) + some house wine. They don't serve food with the exceptions of Sunday BBQ (complimentary) and holidays where they cater in food to support locals both near and far. This is a no attitude, gay, neighborhood, dive bar which has had a resurgence lately. Cheap but strong drinks, and an exceptional staff, this place has been around for a minute, and is one of the oldest gay bars in LA. They have a number of event nights which can be off the hook and packed to capacity. Many of the nights cater to specific fetishes, like puppy nights, or diaper nights, so check the calendar online, but even if a specific fetish idnt your bag, go. Nothing will be pushed on you and you'll still have fun. Besides fetishes, the have underwear nights, bathhouse nights, viewing parties for everything from AHS to RuPaul's Drag Race, they even have a Drag show once a month. Happy hour usually has a good crowd and is a lot fun, Max the bartender is awesome!!! There is plenty of street parking, but I suggest parking on a side street. Burbank Blvd is crowded and I've seen some hit and runs happen there. There's also a cool straight bar, The Other Door, just down the street that has a mixed clientele

My very first time here. First off, the crowd is amazing. Everyone was so friendly and upbeat and on believable. Everyone seems to be friendly and say hi and overall wants to get to know each other.a nice diverse age range and you automatically feel welcome when you walk in. Drinks were made very well in the staff makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Tip. Get there early and stay till close it is well worth it.

This bar features strong and pretty cheap drinks. I like the fire pit outside on the patio. Don't mind the porn playing on the tv monitors. I generally just come here just for drinks.

A small town gay bar in the Valley. Booze is cheap and its a good place to get away when you need a break from most gay scenes.

I had high expectations for this place but it was a let down. Yeah its a bar. But if your looking for better music and atmosphere find another place.

Their parties, like Steam and Sock, used to be fantastic, but the dynamics have recently changed, and they’re no longer what they once were. I hope they find a way to bring them back, as these events were a unique and defining feature of the venue.

The ambience was good. My girl ordered a midori sour and instantly made her throw up. I tried it to make sure it wasnt our new hang out spot and it made me sick too

I have not had a chance to check out the place yet.

Bartenders were not friendly especially to a new face.. even gave a 3.00 tip for a 6.00 drink.. no thanks was given.. very click bar

Signed up for a song only waited for a few hours while his clicks gone twice to sing The worst karaoke kj. Racist, rude, unprofessional and only bring his clicks on stage. Sad reality.

This situation was on June 9, I was not allowed into the bar! I, as a regular guest of your bar who wastes my time and money, I don’t understand why I couldn’t come in that day! The situation was that I abruptly threw my iPhone at the bar (I didn’t do it on purpose), the bartender of Asian descent (I won’t wake up and don’t know the name) didn’t like it - or it wasn’t a dislike for me! no one gives him the right to allow guests to be served or not!
