The food is delicious and service is great!

My husband and daughter went to Mimis in Northridge for lunch. We had a wonderful time the food was great and Liz our server provided us with excellent service. She was very attentive and we wanted for nothing 😁

We always come here to eat with my mom and enjoy it every single time. Liz was our wonderful waiter and was very attentive and helpful. She made the experience very enjoyable per usual and made the start of my day great. Thank you Liz for your wonderful service.

A going away place as Mimi's Cafe locations in the City los Angeles are closing. The food is a nice blend of classic American cuisine with a nice touch of southern taste. Make sure to try the pot pie and when available the Jambalaya. Great choices for kids to enjoy. They always serve you lots of fresh baked bread. Enjoy

I had never been here before, but I was in the area and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. I enjoyed the variety of items on their menu. Service was very friendly and efficient. I didn't have to wait for a table, even though the place was fairly crowded. The restaurant was clean, and although a bit dated, the decor fit to the theme with the menu being new orleans inspired. My breakfast arrived hot and well cooked. I had a malted waffle with eggs and corned beef hash and everything was well seasoned and the portion was a good value for the price. Qualify was also better than average, with the corned beef hash being an excellent choice with nice crispy edges and not overly salty. Overall, I enjoyed this, except maybe the coffee, which was a little too strong and maybe bitter for my liking.(but that's just personal preference I think)

Ordered the savory breakfast bowl less the garlic. This was one of, if not the best breakfasts I have ever had! The restaurant and restroom were super clean. Margarita was my server and she was wonderful.

I just got a Holiday Feast for Thanksgiving the Turkey & Ham with all the sides. I was so impressed everything was delicious the Turkey was nice and moist it was a Perfect Thanksgiving Dinner. Dined in for Mother's day..I had the salmon omelette that was very tasty. We arrived early so we got a table right away.. however, our server didn't really impress us with the service. Our drinks needed refills and though she was just at our table taking our order, she didn't offer to get us a refill and as we tried to ask her for one she walked off. 8 might have been too early but even though, we still left her a big tip. Other than that..my table of 8 enjoyed our meal and just being able to dine in.

The food was amazing I had the cinnamon roll French toast with eggs and turkey bacon and roasted potatoes. I has the catch a flight and told the server we needed to leave by a certain time. The staff was receptive and made sure to get us taken care of in a timely manner. We didn't have to ask for refills they were all over us. Great place for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Definitely gets super busy on Sunday mornings. Dinner is a more quiet experience which is nice. Came for brunch and got a table right away. It was hard to decide on what to order, as everything looks so good! We got the cinnamon roll french toast, the egg white omelette, the stuffed French toast with fresh berries, and the mimosa flight. The mimosa flight was 3 full sized champagne flutes, for $15, which is a heck of a deal!! Liz is an amazing waitress and we can't wait to come back!

Great customer service, even when the waiter finished his shift he introduced us to who would be taking over. We do not eat egg so desserts were limited but the waiter and manager went out their way to source us an eggless dessert. Hot chocolate was out of this world. Very clean and tidy place. Thursday October 5th, 2023 Good food and a nice time with friends and family. Waiters were very nice and helpful.

Very nice place for a morning breakfast. That being said, quite expensive for the quality, the music doesn't match with the atmosphere of the restaurant (too loud and too modern/rythmy). Latte was too cold for a "HOT" latte. Egg and bacon very simple and not tasty, potatoes very blend. +$3 for onions and peppers!? Too expensive for the quality.

Great customer service, food was very fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back I love how their menu has a variety of everything.

This franchise is usually very busy and the place is touting a French bistro theme. The staff were courteous and our server was very friendly. Their signature dish is a Pain Perdu which is nice for breakfast or maybe a dessert. I ordered the Smoke Salmon Benedict. My special request was with no English Muffin and no potatoes. I did get a blueberry muffin as a replacement so I took that home. My smoked salmon and beautifully poached eggs tasted so good especially with those “melt in your mouth” poached easy eggs. Rice was a tad dry. I’ll bet this would have been good with a mimosa accompaniment. On Saturday and Sunday they have $6 mimosas.

2/6/2024 - Mimi's Café is an American restaurant chain and offers fresh hand-prepared comfort food and bistro classicis. Currently, the chain has 45 restaurants located in 12 states. The French Onions soup is 5 stars, which is much better than the ones on the NCL Bliss cruise ship. The Ribeye steak was pretty good (4 stars).  Cappuccino or latte is 3 star only.

04/12/2023: I don’t want to remove all the stars because we’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. But we just celebrated Easter brunch there and for 4 people was $165. I have never ever paid this much for this restaurant. I mean the food is good but not for that price . I understand inflation but I will not pay almost $40 per person for pancakes and eggs. I love the staff and the homey feel but I have never paid more than $75. Unfortunately I will not be coming back unless it’s a special occasion. 4 stars for the staff though. All the staff is always so friendly. Luis my server was very attentive and the service was quick. Thank you for always being a great place to have a meal.

Stopped by on a Saturday morning, 10 mnts to 9. There were plenty open tables and no waiting. We had four dishes between my wife and I, including, Mardi Gras and egg white omelette, Pain Perdu French toast and a stack of four pancakes. It took a good 15 minutes before we were served. Food was nicely warmed and delicous with reasonable portions, enough to satisfy the morning crave. In addition, we had a mimosa to complimented breakfast and our morning. Although, the first look at the bill, it shows the mimosa is charged twice, however, turns out you pay under the beer/wine section. Love the french deco atmosphere and french/New Orleans music playing on the background. Only draw back, our Quiche Florentine was overly nuked, not oven warm, and made the crust impossible to cut with the table knife. It was eventually removed from our bill. Customer service was good, Jaqueline was attemeptive. Overalll, aside from the quiche, food was fresh and toothsome, prices are in line with portions and overall experience, to say it beats eating at ihop in all brekafast aspects of eating out. Defenitely coming back here.

Came here for a private event and was excited because I've never actually dined at Mimi's Cafe before. Up until this point, I had no idea it was a French-themed restaurant. The decor was cute with little touches of France all-around. FOOD - Corn Chowder: creamier than I expected but in a very good way. Not too much potato and definitely served at a decently hot temperature - French Pot Roast: perfect portion, not too salty, and tender meat that did not require a knife. The carrots were the perfect firmness and the mushrooms were divine - Bread Pudding: quite a miss if you’re a huge bread pudding fan. You can tell they baked this in a huge pan but at least the portion size is massive! The whiskey sauce was a nice twist. Overall, I found that the restaurant was just alright. Given the ambiance and price range, the quality is definitely there. It's a very homey, comfortable vibe and one you'd definitely take your family to after church.

One of my Family’s favorite places to go, except lately we have had a waitress that no matter if busy or slow she provides the worst service! The restaurant has also become cheap. If you order potatoes with your breakfast, onions and peppers are not added and if you want, it is an extra cost… how cheap. Please just charge me the higher price, but don’t be cheap to add! We had their appetizer artichoke dip with bread, which was a little too hard for my taste. Then I had their meatloaf with mashed potatoes and garlic spinach, the meatloaf was a little salty but still good, their garlic spinach was that bad either. Mom had some type of chicken meal, she liked it as well. Drinks, both of us had their triple berry lemonade, also too sweet had to stir and let the ice melt to some degree.

This place is not what it used to be. Table area was dirty and poorly maintained. Food was not nearly as good as it looked on the menu and they got my egg order wrong. We have not been to Mimi’s in 20 years and we will not be coming back.

wow i grew up going here and decided randomly the other day to eat here (I thought it was shut down for years) It was hard to decide what to order because every dish was around $20 and we saw several dishes containing 300-500 calories. who’s gonna get full off of 300 calories? We ended up ordering the highest caloric food we found on the menu which was a breakfast burrito that said it was 1500 calories. I also ordered a coffee which i didn’t drink because it tasted really bad. not just watery, it tasted moldy or fermented. then we finally got our burrito and it was tiny, definitely not 1500 cals and it wasn’t anything as described? it had so many ingredients listed like eggs, bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, etc… my burrito was literally just 70% avocado, 20% beef? and 10% egg. it had no salt, no pepper, definitely no jalapeños. no melted cheese inside with the eggs. we finish our food and my bf asks me if i even felt like i ate which i barely did. our waiter also didn’t check on us the whole time so by the time i was able to tell her about the coffee and she wanted to replace it but we were already done eating and ready to go so i just asked for it to be refunded. I don’t think we will be back.

I wish I could leave a more positive review but based on my experience I can’t. Mimi’s Cafe is a French based restaurant known for serving breakfast all day. I went at dinner time and ordered the Florentine Eggs Benedict which was marked as one of their specials. My partner for the corn beef hash with eggs and both are meals were a flop. For starters, my eggs benedict came with a side of roasted potatoes. Not only were they bland but they were cold. The waitress brought me a new side of them which were better. I could tell the other ones had been sitting for a while. When I made it to the benedict version of my meal, the egg was not runny overall. Definitely overcooked and the told was hard inside (see photos). The meal was just not enjoyable at all. The other meal my partner had also had issues with his eggs not being cooked correctly. For a place that serves breakfast all day, I expected better.

Ordered catering from this Mimi’s for a client lunch and had the worst experience. Ordered a sandwich platter to feed 20, a salad with grilled chicken, seasonal fruit salad, and baked goods. Requested a delivery window between 11:45am-12pm, food didn’t arrive until 1:03. Thank goodness there were only 8 of us eating because there were barely enough sandwiches. The salad with grilled chicken (that I paid an extra $40 for) never arrived. And my personal favorite part was that the “seasonal fruit salad” was just a bowl of pineapple. To make the experience worse, I was never able to get through to talk to someone on the number listed on their website and the catering order form. Absolutely do not recommend for catering.

We are celebrating Mother’s Day . The wait time to place our order was terrible considering it was a limited Mother’s day brunch. The food was cold when we received it an hour later. My husband went to complain. The manager stated, “ Sorry we’re busy if you want to leave we can give you the drinks for free .” How’s that for customer service? No reduction in bill, nothing. We frequent this establishment regularly and we (family of 9) will sincerely never return. The staff needs customer service retraining. Definitely.

** 05/11/25 Re-post from Open Table ** So first off, I understand that we came on Mother's Day and expected it to be busy, but this was beyond busy. I don't believe the management did anything to prepare for the rush. It's almost as though it was treated like any other day, but it's not. First complaint, it took 20 minutes to get seated. Okay, that wasn't bad. I expected it to take time. But it seemed very chaotic and disorganized at the host booth. We were seated before a table that had an earlier reservation, and I didn't really understand their reasoning. But okay. We got to sit down. Second complaint, it took an hour and a half to get salads and appetizers. We had a diabetic person in our party, so it was a bit difficult to navigate that. And remember that party that had an earlier reservation? Well, they finished eating and left around the time we received our food. And my last complaint, there were no managers at all walking the floor talking to guests and trying to smooth things over. If you're not going to modify the staff numbers or workflow, then at least show your face. So the moral of the story? We will not be coming back for Mother's Day or any other holiday. This location is slow on normal days, so it's even slower during major rushes. To the frontline workers, I know you tried your best, and this poor planning and execution is on the management. ** UPDATE 07/07/25 ** I emailed the company on May 13th at the email they listed in their response to my review and have yet to receive a response. I always wondered whether companies really want reviewers to email them or if it's just for show... I guess I found out.

Went today with family who was visiting from out of town and they served my husband when the rest of the party was near done with their meal. My meal was a chicken pot pie and I was served a pie crust with grilled chicken and no sauce whatsoever. I asked for sauce added and they replied they had run out for the day. I received my plate well after my husband and it made for a terrible dining experience. At that point I was the only person eating. However, when I asked for the check that was provided immediately. Service was extremely lacking. Likely will not come back.

This food is absolutely disgusting , I got turkey sausage from here and I wouldn’t even feed to my worst enemies dog, that disgusting taste will forever be engraved in my mind , the eggs were terrible 80 percent milk and the was egg , they was literally grey and had no seasoning . The only thing decent on my plate was my French toast
