Bill's Restaurant & Bar - Nottingham

We went on a rainy Sunday... Had to queue a little bit outside before getting in. It was extremely busy and almost all tables were taken. A lovely lady greeted us upon arrival and found a table to sit. The place is family orientated, a lot of kiddies :) lovely design. Homie industrial i would say :))) food was amazing! Huge portions and fair price. We waited around 10-15 minutes for food to be served. Asked for extra maple syrup for our pancakes! One of us ordered a full english breakfast and another one pancakes. We asked not adding a black pudding to the order and the waitress offered something extra adding instead. The coffee was good, but not amazing :) they had no caramel syrup for it :)) only vanilla. :) on the whole it was great experience with very tasty food ❤️ would definitely visit again. Good for the price. We paid around £30 for 2 huge plates and 2 coffees! ❤️

A warm welcome by the staff. Great menu, food was served quick and was excellent quality and taste. Lovely pleasant surroundings and fortunately no need to book midweek. Highly recommend, will visit again.

We were on a daytrip to Nottingham and went directly to Bills because it has been recommended to us. And it did not disappoint, we had Bill's Classic Burger and korean loaded fries, which were very delicious and some Biscoff pancakes which I can also absolutely recommend (and they were able to make it even though it was past brunch time!). My friend had the fish pie which she also enjoyed very much. Overall a lovely experience - and the service has also been great. When in Nottingham, I would always come back to Bills.

Popped in on Friday morning for breakfast on our way to the Test Match. It was bustling with customers, but the staff were quick to seat us and serve us, and were very polite and attentive. We ordered drinks which quickly arrived, and two Bill's Big Brunches and two Traditional Breakfasts, which again arrived quickly and were all excellent

Great atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff ❤️ went out for my friends birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was brilliant I couldn't fault it at all. Very wide range of vegan options was delicious 😋 will definitely be coming back here again!

Great location, charming atmosphere, good music. Responsive and attentive workers. Ordered an English breakfast at Cappuccino, it was a very tasty breakfast, which was served very quickly. Charged with energy for the whole day and left with a good mood.

When we arrived we were given a table instantly, even though it was busy. The food was really nice and tasty for the price. We didn’t realise that a 12.5% charge was added for a service charge. This can be taken off if you ask your waiter. The staff were really friendly and our food came really quick. Will be coming back again.

We came in for an early lunch around 12:30pm, and immediately saw they did bottomless pancakes. However, the menu said that they were only served from 3pm-5pm. Our waiter Lee offered to speak to the manager to see if we could get them, and they said yes! The pancakes came so quickly and tasted amazing! Lee was so helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. We definitely recommend coming here!

As it was Mother’s Day, I decided to book a special breakfast for myself and my daughter. We arrived slightly early, but the friendly welcoming staff allowed us to be seated at our table straight away. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. The staff made us feel very welcome and to top it off I was given a free glass of Prosecco for Mother’s Day! Thank you for helping to start my Mother’s Day and make it special!

We visited Bills for my “leaving lunch” at work. It was very busy but we were seated within 10 minutes and didn’t need to book. I was very impressed with the menu and even though they’d stopped serving brunch, they let me customise my order which was lovely of them. I had a Smoked Salmon, smashed Avocado and Feta Benedict with some calamari to share. Great food, atmosphere and service.

I had organised work christmas dinner and Bills made it easy for 18 of us to enjoy. The food was delicious and service was well thought about. Instead of calling out the food order, everyone's name was called which made it so much for not to stress about what dish was ordered by whom.

Really nice restaurant, food was delicious and our server Michael was really attentive and nice. I have gluten intolerance and the staff were very good and with allergen information. The gluten free burger was really good

Went for dinner on a Saturday in December and luckily we'd booked! Had a nice table tucked away in the corner, service was friendly, quick, and reassuring for allergy sufferers I found. Food was good, portions plentiful, im only sorry we had a show to make and didn't have time for dessert!

Had breakfast. Staff were lovely, food was good. A little more fruit and a little less porridge would have it perfect 👌 but we really enjoyed eating there.

We went for our Christmas meal yesterday. I cant rate this place enough the food was just amazing. The starter was beautiful the main a Was stunning and the pudding was beautiful too. The service was exceptional just brilliant. 100% would recommend going. We are going as a family next weekend just for a normal meal. Thank you guys for a fantastic night

I was a little nervous about organising the Alstom party at Bill’s, BUT having just held our our annual Christmas celebration there, I can honestly say it was outstanding. The staff were fantastic and the service was second to none. John and his team made all 28 of us feel truly special. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend giving it a try! Thank you Team ! Had a fantastic visit to Bill’s Restaurant. The food was delicious, full of flavour, and really good quality. The prices were great for what you get, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming feel. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience enjoyable. Overall, a brilliant meal from start to finish. Highly recommend Bill’s — I’ll definitely be returning!

Had a lovely family dinner here, and a very pleasant time at this Bill’s. The food was great, and plenty of varied options too, alongside lovely specials (Christmas themed for this meal). All food came was delicious, and had 0 problems with anything for a group of 7. Service was also impeccable throughout, and nothing at all can be faulted. Great place to go, highly recommend

Went 4 Christmas dinner. No thrills at 35 per head. However what we got was tasty and fair. Mostly though congrats to the managers for hiring really positive staff. It made for the best Christmas dining experience I've had in ages.

Lovely place reasonable price for breakfast . Staff are really nice and friendly, definitely come back. Food was amazing specially the English breakfast.

Quite impressed with their fish pie and fries. Deep in flavour, no need for salt or pepper The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Actually at the time I went today it was rather unsettling outside with quite a few dodgy people. So it was good to feel a sense of safety after going inside the restaurant 👍

Birthday meal and what a place. Food was amazing, fantastic atmosphere. Really loved it highly recommend and will definitely go again. My only criticism is the price of soft drinks, £3.50 for a coke which was delivered to the table in its can. That's a huge mark up.

We went to Bill’s for dinner and sat outside to save ourselves from a long wait to eat inside. The service was a little slow but there seemed to be quite a few tables so we didn’t mind. My vegan burger was good but there was so much rosemary on my fries/crisps that I couldn’t eat them. We had to ask a few times to get water. Overall, we had a fine time, we probably wouldn’t come back.

We had a nice meal here on a Saturday. The service was great and the Bill’s own (I’m assuming it was their own) cider was better than most you’d get from a supermarket. The food was reasonably priced and, whilst it wasn’t the best meal we’ve ever had, was enjoyable on a Saturday afternoon.

Had breakfast here after a night out, great staff who were able to deal with our very large table of guests, some of whom had dietary requirements and preferences. Really good Eggs Benedict which my wife had, I had a standard fry up which was great. The hot chocolate I had was one of the best I've drank, so thick you could almost chew on it 😁

we recently had a great meal out with my family and our dog! The team were super accommodating, even without a reservation. Special shoutout to Malachi and Sarah for being so friendly and efficient. The food was great, and the drinks were spot on. Plus, the cleanliness and atmosphere made for a really enjoyable experience—definitely would recommend, and Blue Light discounts too.

Nice Bills. Food was lovely. Tables a little close together in areas so did feel a little squashed on. Servers were nice but didnfoget about us a bit. Cocktail menu really good!

We had a lovely meal here. Paddy our waiter was a nice guy, attentive and all went well. We ate too much, as you do when you're eating good food. It was pretty busy but the wait for food wasn't too bad with sides and drinks kept flowing. Nice.

Good gluten free options. Veggie sharer plate was lovely especially the corn ribs and the hummus. Harissa chicken burger was lovely; sea bass slightly disappointing - avocado overpowered the fish, though the ancient grains were lovely. Biggest disappointment was not being offered tap water, despite it being available, so we paid for mineral water. Service charge of 12.5% was excessive, especially as only 3 staff serving, and a table near us remained uncleaned due to the lack of staff. Staff were all very busy in a nearly full restaurant.

Beautiful place to dine with a lovely, relaxing atmosphere, it’s just a shame the food didn’t live up to the same standard. The customer service was excellent, but unfortunately our food was slightly undercooked and lukewarm. The mac and cheese was watery, and our vegan burgers arrived cold. We were too embarrassed to complain at the time, so we paid and left, but it did put us off returning. It’s not just the food either, the current menu isn’t very appealing. We dined here last year and I would have given a 5-star review then (even though we were mistakenly told our offer code was invalid, only to find out later it was still valid — which would have saved us £10 on our £60 bill). Back then, the vegan options were much better. Most of our favourites have now been removed, and the replacements just don’t match the same quality or flavour. It’s also hard to justify the price for what is essentially mushrooms, naan, and salad. Bring back the vegan chicken shawarma and we might consider returning… just maybe not on the day that particular chef is in the kitchen.

We went here for breakfast. Interior is decorated nicely, and the staff were nice. And if you are seated near the window, it's lovely to people-watch early morning. But sadly, breakfast options are very average. I ordered a stack of pancakes, and I found them pretty dry, didn't have enough syrup and found it hard to finish.

Not as impressed as I used to be. The atmosphere and setting is as lovely as always however the quality of the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be and with fish pie priced at £12.95 with no vegetables or sides whatsoever you would expect it to be delicious and it wasn’t. I ordered a side portion of broccoli for £3.75 and after eating my almost £17 meal I was still hungry. It wasn’t terrible just not as good as it has been (I had the same meal pre-pandemic) and I wouldn’t chose to return.

Good Christmas set list. All flavours really thought through. Will update review when feeling a bit better BUT Please be careful having the sea bass fish....or the chocolate tart. Suffering with food poisoning symptoms at present - not been anywhere else today (22nd Nov) Real shame as all tasted fantastic

Food quality has dropped recently used to be one of my favourite restaurants. The evenings are cramped and chaotic and the bottomless pancakes taste awful now! Sour and lacking flavour! This is the first time we’ve refused to go back for seconds. They have upstairs seating available but don’t open it up when it gets very busy downstairs. Also noticed how tiny food portions are now

Went for lunch on Sun 22 Feb. Management extremely rude - the woman on the door and woman managing the floor. Also disappointed with the food - avocado smash - unseasoned. Mushrooms on brunch plate - horrible texture and unseasoned. I will not be visiting again.

Didn’t even get a chance to eat! Me and my partner came in with a 12:30pm reservation for bottomless pancakes and got there to them saying they had ran out and they were unable to make more due to not having any gas, I understand unexpected things happen but I got no email, no message and no phone call prior to the reservation to let me know, so my time and petrol was wasted!

I went to bills with a group of friends for my birthday, I was very disappointed… This was on Sunday the 1st of Feb at lunch time, the manager who seated us was extremely rude and unpleasant, two of the plates of food were cold and had to be sent back, they took a long time to be returned when I asked the manager she was rude once again. The waiter serving us was lovely and made a great effort but the quality of r good and service we received from the manager were appalling. All in all a bad experience, wouldn’t recommend. Although we had a severe allergen at the table and this was dealt with well.
