I recently had the chance to take menu photos at MORA in Oak Park, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was super chill—relaxed yet stylish, with beautiful art pieces all around that made the space feel warm and inviting. I arrived around 2 PM, a quieter time, and the staff immediately made me feel welcome. I was running on low energy, so I asked for a tea. The waiter didn’t just bring me a tea—he crafted me an absolutely incredible blend that woke me right up and had me ready for the shoot. That small gesture set the tone for the whole visit. Service was spot on—friendly, attentive, and fast. The food came out surprisingly quickly without compromising on presentation or quality. Every plate looked like a piece of art, which made photographing them a joy. And the flavors? Amazing. From the sushi rolls to the hot dishes, everything was fresh, balanced, and beautifully plated. The vibrant garnishes (including fresh flowers!) added a touch of elegance. Overall, MORA isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a spot to enjoy a full experience. Great food, great people, and a vibe that makes you want to stay a while. Highly recommended whether you’re coming in for a casual lunch, a special dinner, or, like me, a creative project.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Our server was doing it all. Bussing, serving, hosting! Amazing guy. Also the guy n lady in the kitchen were so on it! We went yesterday and it was truly amazing experience
What can I say. This place is a gem. Their food is amazing. We ordered kamayan, different kinds of sushi on a boat, salmon and veggies and banana wonton topped with ube cream. They are all delicious and presented well! Staff is also amazing and very accommodating. Shout out to Tony Santos for his excellent customer service and for being awesome!!! We came here for early dinner to celebrate my niece’ graduation and he made sure our first visit is extra special! Thanks to Tony and to the staff for the experience. We will definitely be back.
I’ve visited this restaurant countless times for pickup, dine-in, and delivery and the food quality has been consistently amazing. I love the atmosphere, and the customer service is always top-tier. On top of that, the place is extremely clean, which makes the experience even better.
I had the pleasure of dining at MORA Oak Park, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was exceptional - the Kamayan platter, which was a feast for the eyes and taste buds. The Dragon and Samurai sushi rolls were also incredibly delicious and fresh. What truly impressed me, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The best part? MORA Oak Park offers Michelin-star quality food at a significantly lower price point than other restaurants of its caliber. It's a rare find, and I feel lucky to have discovered it. Overall, I highly recommend MORA Oak Park to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience without breaking the bank. Five stars, hands down!
We’ve been to Mora a handful of times and each time the food and service have been excellent. The sushi is fresh and they have a variety of Asian dishes. The adobo fried rice is so comforting. They also have some amazing cocktails. Shoutout to Franco at the bar who really took care of us during happy hour. I also really appreciate that they are accommodating and careful with allergies. Great place for anyone who is dairy free.
We celebrating my husband's birthday on 7/13 and not only was the food delicious, but the service was amazing. Mora’s never disappoints. Since Covid we don’t go out to eat onsite that often and order take out. This is another reminder that we need to be present and enjoy the ambiance. Thank you Mora, Franco and Tony!
My co-workers and I popped in for happy hour and we were NOT disappointed!!! The fuji apple sake, mora Mai Tai, ichimi margarita, Jazmin, and Zodiac drinks were GREAT!! Ask to have the Jazmin smoked! Took it to a whole other level. As far as happy hour bites... we ordered gyoza, lumpia, loaded fries (that yum yum sauce, OOOO WHEEEE 😋) crunchy brussels n kale. All were fabulous. We also got the wings, which were meaty, and some jasmine rice. A couple of us ordered the adobo fried rice to go... delicious and reheats well. We also got their 2 dessert offerings to round everything out. Tony, the manager, and our bartender, Caroline were phenomenal!! Make sure to check in with them and tell them the Buzz Cafe crew sent you. You will not be disappointed. We spent about $200 for 5 people. It was worth every penny and then some!!
If you’re looking for the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy incredible cocktails, and be treated like royalty—this is the place. I’ve been coming here regularly, and every single visit reminds me why I keep returning. The staff? Exceptional. Always warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. There’s a genuine sense of care in how they treat you, and it really elevates the whole experience. Ask for Franco when you go—he’s hands down the best. Friendly, professional, and he just gets it. He knows the menu inside out and always has the best recommendations. Now, let’s talk cocktails. They’re not just good—they’re outstanding. Creative, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. You can tell the bartenders take pride in their craft, and it shows in every sip. The ambiance? Spot on. The music sets the perfect tone—never too loud, never too dull. It creates just the right vibe whether you’re out for a relaxed evening or something a bit more upbeat. Cleanliness is another thing they absolutely nail. Every corner is spotless, and it makes the whole environment feel fresh and welcoming. From start to finish, this place is flawless. It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything right—service, drinks, atmosphere, and vibe. But this one does. Trust me, it’s worth every visit.
Delicious food , great atmosphere. We had a simple meal for lunch Adobe rice with pork belly (extremely flavorful), wings, and sushi. We felt the hot/small plates were more than enough for two. Parking on the street. They had outdoor seating with umbrellas, which is always nice in the summer. I will return.
Delicious sushi in a warm atmosphere with attentive service. I enjoyed the Let it Rain roll and some unagi nigiri, while my partner was very happy with the orange ginger chicken skewers and smoked salmon sashimi. I'd love to go back sometime as there were other intriguing house rolls on the menu! Thanks to Sophia for making sure we had a great experience.
Fresh sushi and friendly staff! I enjoy their sake selection and Japanese whiskeys.
Husband and I needed a date night, so we tried this place out. Wow! Everything was super good! The Land and Sea roll was interesting, but way better than we expected. Everything we had was really good and we can't wait to try other things on the menu. Can't wait to come back!
Love the vibe of this restaurant! I went with a party of 6 and we all loved our sushi rolls. Sweet potato tempura is my go-to and this one did not disappoint! Our server, Tony, took care of us so well. We even got a free dessert for a friends birthday and the team sang to her. Highly recommend the ube ice cream. Looking forward to returning to this neighborhood favorite.
Awesome experience very fresh fish for the sushi and the drinks were delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone who loves sushi and a relaxed dimly lit atmosphere!
Went here with my son and husband for a spot of lunch before going to the Michelangelo Exhibit. Open floor plan with an airy atmosphere. Great food with tender meat, fresh ingredients, delicious flavour. They have vegan dishes as well. The Halo-Halo dessert with purple yam is one of my favourites. I have to come back to try the other dishes. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and my husband liked their top shelf gin.
Mora Sushi in Oak Park is such a gem! The ambience is cozy and aesthetically pleasing, the food is always delicious, and the service is fantastic. It’s perfect for a first date or a meal with friends — every visit is a great experience!
Mora in Oak Park is my favorite spot! The food is fresh and flavorful (this chicken dish was amazing), and the cocktails are as beautiful as they are delicious. Great service and atmosphere every time.
Wanted to try out some Filipino food that’s close by and found MORA in Oak Park. I’ve had the dragon sushi roll and shanghai lumpia, it was delicious! The service was excellent! We’ve eaten at the open patio by their parking area. Our server was nice, polite, and was willing to talk to us besides how the food was.
Been coming to MORA Oak Park for a few years and have never disappointed with the quality, portion or staff. Came for dinner to try out their Kamayan feast platter. Tasty, well made and enough for 4-5 people to share Filipino style. The board is presented to sample and enjoy the Philippines tradition hands-on; Grilled Adobo Pork Belly, Sinigang Salmon, Tiger Shrimp, Roasted Green Beans, Pancit, Lumpia on top of Jasmine Rice. Kids added orders of the orange chicken skewers along with robata asparagus beef, salmon and unagi nigiri to finish off our meal. Try pairing entrees with a Red Horse or San Miguel beer for a real delightful meal. Tame your sweet tooth with the coconut cream cake or the flour less chocolate cake. Recommend reservations on weekends or stop into MORA from 4-6 to enjoy the happy hour specials at the bar.
Great meal, fantastic atmosphere, the ube icecream was so delicious and our waiter Gabi was very attentive.
Prices were as expected for the Chicagoland area. Drinks were delicious and the food was very, very good and fresh. Has a few vegan options.
Noel and Tony took very good care of us. The sushi was very good, liked the Spicy Tuna and Poke tower for sure. We also really enjoyed the Filipino dishes, including the Lumpia, Pancet with pork belly. And get this they had some delicious Ube ice cream! The great service really made this a special dinner.
My family and I were looking for a nice patio to enjoy some outdoor seating. And this place was great , food was amazing and Caleb’s service was exceptional. Will definitely be returning soon!
I recently moved into the area and have visited Mora more than any other restaurant due to their amazing food, atmosphere and fantastic service! Each time I go I have sat at the bar and Franco makes my visit fantastic with his friendliness and service ensuring I’m always taken care of. I knew Mora would be a favorite after a single visit!
Tony was our server and gave us incredible service for a special night! He was extremely accommodating and thoughtful. The entire staff was so sweet!
Visiting here is always a pleasure. The food is great (spicy tuna + fuego are the best rolls). The hosts and servers are super nice and funny! Shoutout to Tony! He is a gem!
The sushi rolls and lumpia that we had were great! Service was also top tier. Atmosphere was pretty good as well. We had a reservation for 5:45, which actually wasn't needed. However, once we left, around 7pm, the crowd definitely piled in. So I'd actually recommend getting a reservation for the late evening. Our reservation was for 2 people, and originally we were seated a table with stools. There was nowhere to hang coats/purses. Not trying to nit pick, but it seemed to be the only table in the establishment that was uncomfortable and an inconvenience lol eventually we were accommodated and moved. Thanks for that!
Great food my daughter's favorite sushi 🍣 place. Good atmosphere!l and service. Very attentive staff took orders quickly. Priced well. Definitely recommend. Easy access.
This evening my mom and I decided to go to Mora’s for Happy Hour, along with my dog lol. They were super accommodating for all of us. We asked our server, Gaby, about the Happy Hour special, without reading that it was for the bar only. However, Gaby was able to get us the menu and we really enjoyed our meal especially the loaded fries. Gaby’s customer service was awesome. Very attentive and pleasant. Will definitely be back!
Sat down for dinner with my wife and 2 year old daughter on a Friday night. Restaurant was quite busy, but service throughout was some of the most attentive I've ever seen - It was incredible! Not only was the service incredible, but the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this place, and we will be back again!
Mora Oak Park was outstanding! Gilbert was our server and was knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. He had a great sense of humor and was present and focused on us, even on an extremely busy Friday night. The fabled Korean wings lived up to the hype, the Brussels sprout dish was amazing, as were the cocktails, and flourless chocolate cake. We’ll be back soon!
We had the green beans, gyoza, and Geisha rolls. All were delicious. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Atmosphere was calming.
Mora in Oak Park is such a gem! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully plated, and full of interesting flavors. The atmosphere was lively, with families, couples, and even people dining with their dogs outside, which made it feel very welcoming. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the kitchen in action—everyone was working so hard and you could see the care going into each dish. A fantastic spot all around! Shoutout to our server, Billy! He was so attentive and friendly!
Food was amazing and so was our server Gabi! very attentive and friendly. the fire sushi has great flavors and the truffle salmon melts on the tongue. delicious all around
Been passing this place since we moved to Oak Park, and decided to come for our anniversary dinner. Food is great, fish is really fresh and the sushi is the best we had around. As someone who do not like too embellished sushi their Fresco is perfect, fresh and light. Especially thanks to Nat for her service and to Tony for always receiving us so well.
Great waiter (Billy) , we came for the happy hour menu. All the dishes were big portion sizes and the food taste fresh and great! Great ambiance too
Probably the best dining experience I’ve ever had was at Mora. Not only were the food and cocktails creative and delicious, the staff made the us feel so welcome from start to finish. Dianna our server was genuine and knowledgeable giving us great recommendations, Tony the manager was so friendly and took time to check in with us, and Multiple other staff members were beyond attentive, helping make the experience truly something special. We are so grateful we found this gem. We live 50 minutes away but will make it a point to visit again soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
What sets the place apart aside from its cozy corner venue, is the service Tony gave me. It was my first encounter via phone and we had to order quick and get back to work in 2 hours, and he did it. When we arrived, all food was just on time. I am proud to finally have a wonderful place to dine within my work and home spots. I am in awe of the Adobo Pork rice, Pork belly, and the Inihaw Salad. Not to mention that Ube ice cream for dessert and the multiple mochi served wonderfully. The washrooms are coed but individual use and decently clean. There is a separate and more private dining area when you prefer to have a quieter time with loveones. I am simply loving my experience and thought would share them to you… the wonderful and unique Philippine-Japan-Vietnam Asian fusion! Thank God we have one closeby. Food. Service. Ambience. All worthy of an excellent time to experience.
Everything was absolutely delicious. The unagi was probable the best I’ve ever had. Great service, so gracious and quick. Try this restaurant!
I went here with friends for a girls' night, and we had a great time. A few of us had dietary restrictions, but there was plenty on the menu to make everyone happy. I got the mush-mush roll, and it was delightful. The atmosphere was chill, and the staff were all very kind.
I’ve been going to Mora for several years now, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing, and the service is always top-notch. Our go-to dishes are the Brussels sprouts, the Crunchy 8, and the belly pork rice, all of which I highly recommend. This time, we tried the basil chicken for the first time and wow, it was just as incredible as everything else on the menu. Mora is one of those places that works for every occasion. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and sometimes we just stop by because we’re hungry and craving something delicious. It’s truly a gem.
My husband and I totally enjoyed our entire experience at Mora. The interior is lovely; we had made reservations and were seated immediately. Tony was our server and he was fabulous— he was very patient with our many questions. Our starter was the crunchy Brussels sprouts and kale; I am famous in our family for how picky I am and kale is absolutely off the menu for me. I had no idea how delicious it could be!! I would return just for this dish — that’s how tasty it was! Also ordered the Dragon rolls. I even enjoyed two of them and I REALLY don’t like fish. Our last dish was the Banh Pho Xao, which I enjoyed more than husband. The portions were very generous too. On our next visit we will try the Crispy Rice with lobster for sure along with the adobo fried rice because they sound delicious also. Who knows what else. Thanks Tony!
you can come in solo and sit at the bar. it’s very slow in the midday afternoon. cocktail menu is nice, although a little pricey for the location. the gyoza come from frozen and are deep fried. their most popular roll has 3 or 4 types of fish on it, and it’s tasty but could use something crunchy (like cucumber or something) to help the texture. the service staff were friendly.
Great service and small selection of vegan options. Edamame and asparagus was very delicious. Basil tofu was great. Would ask for less.tofu next time. Asked for it sauteed but it's still too much for me. Their mushroom medley was my favorite in this dish!!
I couldn't find the happy hour menu or times on their website or on Google. I couldn't find the price of their regular items on the menu. The place was overly cold for the weather of the day 80°. There were no customers and service was a bit slow. Also you can only enjoy the happy hour specials in the bar area not the dining room. The food tasted good
I enjoy Mora Oak Park so much that my family and I came in to celebrate my son's graduation 🎉🎓. I requested the backroom upon reservation and did not get it (disappointed)however Tony our server took great care of us. I think with the large parties the staff was overwhelmed but I will continue to patronize this establishment! Great food and drinks. We had a nice time! Great neighborhood eatery.
Order the Samauri roll and Kizami Wasabi on the side. Youll thank me later! I also ordered the Dynamite Roll, but I think they gave me something else because it had guacamole/avocado on top, which was not what I ordered, but it was okay. Great service!
We were sat pretty quickly and our order was taken even quicker. The food came in a nice timely manner. We dove into the sushi and it was delicious. Everything was so good I wouldn't mind checking it out again. The Adobe rice is sooooo good. Must try. No refills had to pay extra for another soft drink which I didn't know I had to but I did anyways no choice. Besides the drink everything was great.
Had lunch here today (10/26/19). I have had Asian and I have had Tapas. However, I have never had Asian Tapas . Looked at the Yelp page and saw some beautiful works of delicious art. I was excited. Even after arriving I was double excited by the lone beautiful server, Liz. I took a friend, and since she had never had this type of food, it was game on from the time of arrival. I ordered the wings, Sumurai (the rolls in the pictures with lobster in them), Phillipino Adobo Rice, Lemongrass beef skewers and orange chicken skewers (not seen). As pretty as this food appeared it lacked any POP, any FLAVOR beyond the item itself. I was deeply disappointed. Pretty attractive food that was, at best, ok! Smh. 3 stars for the presentation and attractive service person. You can get better flavor elsewhere. I highly recommend doing that unless you like "just ok"!
