I moved away to texas, but always make it a priority to stop here everytime I visit. The Best Orange chicken ever! Fried rice and hot n sour soup is delicious!

Delicious every time it's the best place I've been for Chinese in ball of northern CA. We try to go here every few months and it's sooo good . War wonton soup .the best . Chicken fried rice the best . Sweet and sour chicken the best ....and sizzling beef the best . Recommend everything it's so so good and prices are still great .

Only one other table full when we went there at 8pm. My friends ordered the combination dinners & I ordered vegetarian soup & string beans. The food was delicious and the servings enormous. Plenty for a second meal at home with the leftovers. The waitress seemed to be new but she was very good and answered all of our questions when we were ordering. She also shared tidbits of information about Oakdale. (My friends were from San Francisco and I recently moved to Modesto.)

Always a great place for real Chinese food!

I have eaten here many times in the past and their food is Great! I like their War Wanton, Egg Flour and Hot & Sour soups. The hot braised chicken is also very good. Unfortunately I just tried their Pot Stickers and I’m not impressed. They were made from a thick wrap that was much like a flour tortilla and not the typical wrap like I’ve gotten at other Chinese food restaurants. I wouldn’t order them again but everything else is good!

We really had a great experience we call a little close to closing time which I know could be a hassle and they were totally fine with it, when we got our order everything was nice and hot the food was absolutely spectacular they two young boys working upfront are very respectful and very nice. This is definitely my family’s new spot

Always love the food here. Great place for a family dinner and amazing Chinese food. Great customer service experience they also are quick with service and I like that when I'm super hungry lol. But overall I would rate this 6 stars if I could. Would definitely recommend all my friends to go there.

I found my new favorite local Chinese restaurant. These pot stickers are thick, fresh and delicious. The vinegar sauce they serve with it is just as delicious. I loved the fresh hot tea that was perfect while watching the rain and traffic go by outside. Now….this fully packed with fresh vegetables and meat War Won Ton soup was exactly what my bone marrow needed! What a delicious meal and great flavor! These guys got it down and especially with their customer service being as welcoming and friendly! Come on in, there is plenty of safe parking. They have ADA parking and inside seating as well. I was able to speak with a few of the other locals and they have repeatedly be returning faithfully over the years and I think I will be as well!

I was really amazed that you found a restaurant that serves fresh bao buns, They were steaming hot, fresh and just a delight from the normal Asian fair foods you would normally find. I really appreciate it my conversation with the gentleman up front he was very helpful and suggested a few dishes with one being the cashew chicken that I chose. The food was hot, fresh and worth the wait. If you are a person who's in a rush my suggestion to you would be either to dine in or order ahead as they are fast but orders come in fast and furious. This is a restaurant that's definitely worth additional visits in the future and I'm happy that I took a suggestion from the locals. Pro tip If you are there doing lunch hours, check out the lunch menu as they have great deals on so many different items.

My wife and I love stopping for lunch at the China House. The staff are always friendly and the food is great. Exceptional value for the dollar and it is very popular as a take-out as well.

We ordered a take out from here online. Went to pick up the food when we received a message that the food was ready but unfortunately it was not ready yet. Waited for atleast 10 minutes to get the food. Food was good. The chow mein and general chicken were good. Would recommend this place for a quick food break.

The food is really good. Exactly what you ask for and tastes amazing. Depending on the day and time you go will determine how long you will wait for food. The wait is always worth it but if your not patient don't go to this place.

Good food. Reasonably priced. Their fried zucchini is phenomenal. They use the thick noodles for their chow mein, delicious! Added bonus they are open on Mondays! My only complaint is that some of their items are very heavily salted, like a finishing salt. But you can knock it off pretty easily.

We ate dinner here on New Year's Day and really enjoyed it. The food is basic Chinese American, with old fashioned favorites suited to traditional Western tastes such as chop suey, spare ribs, egg foo yong, salt and pepper fish, etc. Portions are huge - plenty to share or to take home. The service was notably good -- our server had thorough knowledge of the menu and preparations including detailed understanding of gluten sensitivity. We had Peking spare ribs a la carte and a braised chicken dinner combination plate as well as a "small" hot and sour soup. Everything was of good quality with the soup and the chicken particularly tasty. We had leftovers of everything, which kept well. The place was bustling, warm, and friendly on a cold winter evening, and the prices were very reasonable . We will certainly return when we pass through Oakdale in future.

I ordered the Kung Pao linchpin combo plate. It wasn't the best I've had. It was more of a Thai than Chinese recipe. The fried rice gets an A+ The Chow Mein I'd only rate a B-. It was OK, but there was something missing. The egg drop soup only rated a C-. It was hot, but there was absolutely no taste. Overall I give the service and A and the food quality a C.

Last week on the way back from Yosemite late evening, we're hungry and wanted to have dinner before getting home late. We searched on the map and we found this restaurant in Oakdale. It's in a huge parking lot that is easy to find a space, it was a Friday and quite a few people in the restaurant, good sign. This seems to be a family owned restaurant, the 2 brothers seem to take care of everything from busting the table to serving. They're both quite pleasant and attentive. Looking at the menu, the prices are quite reasonable, every dish is under $18. We're hungry and tired so we ordered the wor wonton soup to start, our favorite Chinese soup, we got the medium but quite large for both of us since we wanted to order something else. The soup is quite tasty although the color of the soup isn't as clear as other restaurant, the wontons are over cooked and the skin are falling off the meat, everything else is good. Mu Shu pork: it came with 5 chinese tortilla, quite large, a little thick but eatable, the stir fried ingredients are quite flavorful. It's also huge, I think it's intended for 5 people as appetizer. Beef Chow Fun (dry) which we like, came out very good and the portion is also big. It looks like we're going to take a whole bunch home. The Sizzling combo plate is quite sizzling and very tasty, but we could only try a few bites because we're full. This restaurant is quite amazing for the area. We're glad we found this place, everything is inexpensive and quite excellent. Next time if we go to Yosemite, we may stop by.

I believe the new owners have taken over as they transitioned. We’ve been eating here over 20 yrs. Honey walnut shrimp was wonderful as usual. Everything else was marginal. Pork buns were dry. Very disappointing. Hope they can step up their game as they grow their business. Good luck to them. 👍🏻

Their sweet and sour chicken is very tasty. But, their pot stickers were awful, they were in a puffy dough which had no flavor the filling was okay.

This restaurant is good, but not great. They give you quite a bit of food and the service is excellent. However I've been here several times and each time it seems to me that some of the meat is not cooked up fresh but most likely cooked earlier in the day and then heat it up when people come in. If you're hungry it's worth it to go but if you're looking for good fresh Chinese food, you might want to look elsewhere.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, however all of a sudden something was different. I usually order the sweet and sour shrimp. The shrimp was different, smaller. In general food was ok, not as good as it used to be. Customer service was excellent.

We stopped for lunch on the way back from Napa Valley to Mountain View. They have lot of options to choose, the service was very quick. But, the food taste is modified to suit American pallet, not authentic Chinese.

Poor service Staff was friendly but the waitress was the only one doing anything. One of the owners was sitting on his phone while the waitress was taking an offer the phone order. All of this while my food was waiting to be served. Food quality I ordered the braised chicken which was alright nothing to brag about, but the meal came with an egg roll. Said egg roll was inedible. The smell alone was that of old nasty used oil. The inside was cabbage and meat but the cabbage was brown and wilted. I could not even eat a single bite that was drowned in sweet and sour I will not be returning. With ample Asian restaurants in the oakdale area, this should be a last consideration.

Gross garbage... Should have taken a hint when I went in the restaurant and the place smelt of burning food. I have been to a lot of Chinese resturants. Good and bad. Even the worst of them the food is usually edible. The honey walnut shrimp was fine, the hot and sour soup was good.. (best thing in the order) the broccoli beef was edible, Not good, pretty bland but edible. However the orange chicken was tough / chewy, bland and tasted like fish for some reason. The spicy garlic chicken was chewy, burnt, bland, NOT spicy, and.... Tasted Like Fish. Seriously don't fry your chicken in the same pan as your Tilapia. It was very clear that the food we got was old and reheated... Most likely multiple times. And yet way overly expensive. We spent $80 on the worst meal we have had in a long time. We ate the walnut shrimp, hot and sour soup and some of the broccoli beef. Threw away the other half of the broccoli beef, all of the spicy garlic chicken and the orange chicken. Could have gone to Panda Express. Paid half the money for more food and actually been able to eat all of of it. Most of the Chinese resturants I have been to cost less and provide a far better experience.

I received cold food and i didn’t say anything. I went a second time and brought it to the Server’s Attention and I still received cold food and the white folks next to got hot smoking food!…Huhhhh???
