This place is great! I appreciate the vegan options (and GF)!! The quality of ingredients is fantastic. Cute outdoor-only seating. Not great for large groups.

Tacos Oscar is such a cool little spot — laid-back vibe, friendly staff, and seriously good tacos. Everything tastes super fresh, with creative toppings and bold flavors. It’s the kind of place you stop by for a quick bite and end up hanging out longer than you planned. Simple, tasty, and totally worth it.

The tacos were amazing! I had the chicken, pork, and broccoli which were all amazing! The tortillas are home-made and phenomenal! The broccoli taco was all of our favorite and it had amazing peanut chile oil! We brought our friend’s dog Oscar and the staff brought him a cookie. 10/10 will be back!

Alfred is amazing. I tried to call in a pick up order but I couldn’t get through to anyone, so I made a doordash pick up order, and Alfred ended up calling me back and apologizing for being too busy to answer at the time. And when I got there to pick up my order he went above and beyond for me and I even got a treat I wasn’t expecting. Amazing customer service 10/10!

This is pick-up from not for food from the restaurant Homeroom, which makes multiple versions of mac and cheese. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants and I will make up any reason to order - oh, I’m babysitting my nephew, guess I better pick up dinner, getting lab work in the area, ok I’m swinging by, etc 😂 My favorite is the Gilroy Garlic Mac and Cheese with Bacon, although the Garden Pesto Mac and Cheese is a close second. Just go for it! I used to love the brownies, but it tastes like the recipe changed, so I don’t get those anymore. Adding a side or splitting a whole Caesar salad is a great way to round out the meal.

Homeroom To Go is amazing (I actually prefer the mac and cheese to go). I've been coming here for 4 years now, they provide outstanding customer service and delicious food. It's my favorite thing to bring to potlucks or parties. Everyone should get their mac and cheese from here.

It was my first time visiting Homeroom, and I stopped by their take-out location on a whim. I was warmly greeted by a host named Sam, who truly turned out to be an angel in disguise. I ordered the Truffle Mac & Cheese and the Vegan BBQ Mac, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding; comforting, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I wish I had taken a picture of the vegan mac because it was that good! What made the experience even more memorable was the genuine kindness and warmth of the staff. Because it’s the Halloween season, they even treated us to one of their filled pumpkin cookies, such a sweet and thoughtful touch. I’ll definitely be coming back, not just for the delicious food, but also in hopes of seeing this newly discovered gem and my new friend, Sam.

Amazing place! Different mac and cheese flavor options, we did the buffalo Mac and the elote mac. We got them half baked so we could take it home and eat it fresh there. It was excellent! Service was so welcoming and easy going, will return soon!

Visited Homeroom To Go for a quick Mac and Cheese craving on a Friday night . Order was ready on time , hot and delicious . Greeted by Alfred , a friendly , polite and a great person with excellent customer service skills. I saw a tray of just baked Jalapeño cheese biscuits and Alfred offered me a sample . The biscuit was good and thanks to Alfred now I have a new favorite. Great customer service! Thank you .

Leilani was the most incredible server I've ever had. Homeroom as always is in a league of its own and when you've had it you can't stop going back. I live 4 hours away and never fail to stop when I'm even vaguely close by. That being said after coming to homeroom for over a decade Leilani was the most memorable and inviting person who I've met at homeroom and I hope you guys promote her. Made my day thank you!

Best Mac n cheese place! They do have a seasonal menu, which is exciting at times! Wished the Hawaiian Mac was a main staple! Their pizza Mac, chicken pot pie Mac, and so on are all great! Hope to see more creative macs soon because I keep seeing almost the same Mac each season without anything new🥺but still they're all great!

Got one of their seasonal flavors truffle Mac and cheese apparently this place rotates new flavors every 4 months , but more on the pricey side but food portion is big and well worth the add ons would love to come back to try other things

Some very good custom Mac and cheese. Although extremely good and quite large portions, the total price of the mac and cheese was quite expensive. I think ended up paying $30 for the custom Mac itself plus a lemonade

Best tacos, rudest cashier (consistent with some of the other reviews). This is based on eating there 11 times in 2025. Came back in 2026 and still the same rude behavior. Shout out to the woman that hands me my take out order with a big smile every single time.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE!!!! We were shorted ~$10.00 of our order! NOT. HAPPY. ABOUT. THAT!!! Didn't know until the next day, and then it was too late to do anything about it! So "buyer beware": OPEN THE STAPLED BAG BEFORE LEAVING THE PREMISES, because once you're GONE, it's TOO LATE to resolve later-discovered missing items!!! If my review were JUST on the taste/quality of the food, I'd give 5 stars. Sadly, it's not! We needed a quick, hot, nourishing, and tasty meal to quickly feed a hungry group at the last minute, on a cold & rainy New Year's Eve, near where our group was located! NOT the easiest of tasks, mind you, so after a bit of research we decided that "Homeroom To Go" was a good choice. Happily ordered platters for most of our items: Garlicky bacon mac & cheese with a side of BBQ pulled pork; green beans; Caesar salad; 2 orders of 1/2 dozen brownies (12 total); 5 orders of the "holiday mint" giant Oreo cookies (10 TOTAL). With tax, OVER $200.00 and that's BEFORE any potential tip! WAY overpriced - shoot, we probably could have had a much fancier steak dinner for that kind of money - but did I mention this was New Year's EVE, at the LAST MINUTE?!?!? Yeah, sometimes you overpay for pasta, salad, veggies, and dessert! I doubt I would pay that high a price for staples again, even if flavorful! Being the aforementioned rainy NYE, the place was hopping busy upon arrival! The texts kept me informed of my order & ready-for-pick-up status. With no place to easily park, I double parked to get my items, and everything was neatly packed in a box for me to carry out. However, the hot & cold items were all packed & stacked together, the dressing and BBQ sauce were in their own containers (I thought they'd be mixed in to their respective items as ordered), & there was NO serving utensils in the box until I ASKED for them. I found the serving staff was rushed and not all that friendly, seemingly inconvenienced at my repeated requests for ENOUGH plates, napkins, & serving ware to meet our groups' needs. NOT "rude" in any way; just not real friendly either, maybe due to the incredibly busy night? NYE. benefit of the doubt! So I repacked the items into the respective insulated "hot" and "cold" bags I'd brought in with me, rearranged them inside the provided box, grabbed my bag-o-goodies, and left with hands full! Upon arrival to my destination & a busy event, I unpacked the mains', salad, & SOME of the desserts: specifically, 6 of the brownies and *5* of the Oreos. I did NOT look in the bag to COUNT the rest, but "knew" we still had 6 more brownies and 5 Oreos for later, if needed. NO ONE ELSE EVER TOUCHED THE BAG OR EVEN KNEW WHERE IT WAS! At the end of the evening, 1 of the 5 set out Oreos were consumed, 1 went back into the bag with the remaining brownies and Oreos, and 3 were left behind. OR SO WE THOUGHT!!! Once home, leftovers went into the fridge and the dessert bag sat on the counter for the night. THE. NEXT. DAY: While unpacking the bag, AFTER removing the remaining brownies, we DISCOVERED ONLY 1 OREO COOKIE WAS IN THE BAG!!!! WE SHOULD HAVE HAD 4 MORE, THAT WERE NEVER PACKAGED!! My RECIEPT order showed the 5 orders correctly, as did my credit card charge for the FULL PAYMENT of such! But 4 NEVER WERE CORRECTLY PACKAGED in the order, and now - New Year's Day - LONG after I'd picked up the order - I was JUST DISCOVERING WE DIDN'T GET EVERYTHING WE PAID FOR! & HAD NO WAY TO RESOLVE IT! So, word to the wise: EVEN when rainy, busy, and rushed - maybe ESPECIALLY when rainy, busy, and rushed - ALWAYS OPEN THE STAPLED BAG AND ENSURE YOU'RE GETTING WHAT YOU PAID FOR! WE DIDN'T! And that's $10.00 of our hard earned resources that we can't recover. LESSON. LEARNED!!!

Really appreciate this place for generally having a variety of tasty vegetarian tacos on the menu, a nice interior, and commitment to a "dining for justice" charge to support houseless neighbors. But my food last night was a real disappointment. Mushroom and broccoli tacos were one note and left huge puddles of oil as I ate. The pumpkin on the tostada was cooked to mush and extremely salty. I think I'll take a break for a while, and hope they can make some adjustments.

The dishes were flavourful, but could be unbalanced. For example, in the Charred Broccoli Taco, the taste of the peanuts dominated all other ingredients. The Fermented Habanero Hot Sauce was disappointing. It was just raw spiciness with none of the usual smokey and fruity complexity of habanero.

I’ve visited this restaurant three times. During my first visit, the cashier’s attitude was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which negatively affected what could have been an otherwise great experience. While the food was excellent, the interaction made it difficult to fully enjoy the visit. My second and third visits were more neutral, but the service still felt underwhelming. This place has the potential to be one of my favorite spots—the quality of the food is genuinely outstanding. However, consistent and welcoming customer service is just as important in creating a great dining experience. As someone who works in customer service, I understand how much atmosphere and attitude matter, especially for a restaurant that has received Michelin recognition. The product is there, but the service needs improvement. I truly hope this is something that can be addressed for future guests.

Super trendy (i.e wait in line) taco spot. At lunchtime they only have "brunch" tacos which skew very breakfasty(eggs, potatoes, no meat tacos). Extremely un kid friendly (no high chairs, bean and cheese tacos had a lot of spicy sauce). Tacos were good but tortillas were a little chewy.

The cashier was extremely rude and openly irritated when I asked a simple question, acting as if customers were an inconvenience. The tacos were good, but the burrito was very bland and disappointing. With service like this and uneven food quality, I honestly don’t understand the hype around this place.

6 dollar cold cheese biscuit, and 15$ "elote" mac n cheese hardly had any cojita cheese and chili... do yourself a favor and make it yourself at home these guys don't even give you the option to add more. Their limeade wasn't that sweet either, no additional sugar or sweetener offered. They leave the door open so flies get all over the water cups. This place seems to be run by teenagers who don't care about bugs flying all over the lobby.
