Came in here for the first time during my lunch break and loved every bite! The service was prompt from taking my order to get my food. Also, never had a robot bring my meal to me before. That was an interesting experience

Huang Cheng is located in Swanson's Market (historical building, food hall) in Downtown Oakland. They have a full service restaurant in the same building. If you just want dumplings, potstickers, or a curry chicken rice bowl for a quick bite this is the place. You can get it to go, or stay and eat it there. The menue is simple. They make everything in-house including the chili oil. Huang Chengs Dumplings is new, opened about 3 months ago, but I just found them. I like them a lot. Easy access and quick. There are other restaurants in the same food hall if you have a large group with different tastes. Dumplings and potstickers come in orders of 18. They offer pork and cabbage, or shrimp and cabbage dumplings/potstickers. The difference between their potstickers and dumplings is cooking method. If you are in downtown Oakland during the week, or on a Saturday, Swanson's Market is a great food hall to visit. They have many great casual dining options in one location with ample seating. Huang Cheng Potsticker is a great addition to Swanson's Market Food Hall.

Oh my, this is a great choice for a lunch stop in downtown Oakland! The pot stickers and dumplings are delicious and the atmosphere in the housewive's market is totally chill. Bonus - they are right across from Cupcakin' Bake Shop so dessert is a given!

Food was amazing and the dipping sauce was good ! The pan fried Potstickers were crispy and juicy which was perfect. There was no soy sauce / vinegar / chili oil at the tables, just chopsticks. However, food was amazing, and worth the price. Like others note, its just venmo/cash. This was good and I would definitely come back again.
