Came in here for the first time during my lunch break and loved every bite! The service was prompt from taking my order to get my food. Also, never had a robot bring my meal to me before. That was an interesting experience

They serve dumplings and potstickers, as well as a curry rice bowl. This place is fresh, delicious, and uses quality ingredients. You can taste it in the food. Huang Cheng is located in Swanson's Market (historical building, food hall) in Downtown Oakland. They have a full service restaurant in the same building. If you just want dumplings, potstickers, or a curry chicken rice bowl for a quick bite this is the place. You can get it to go, or stay and eat it there. The menue is simple. They make everything in-house including the chili oil. Huang Chengs Dumplings is new, opened about 3 months ago, but I just found them. I like them a lot. Easy access and quick. There are other restaurants in the same food hall if you have a large group with different tastes. Dumplings and potstickers come in orders of 18. They offer pork and cabbage, or shrimp and cabbage dumplings/potstickers. The difference between their potstickers and dumplings is cooking method. If you are in downtown Oakland during the week, or on a Saturday, Swanson's Market is a great food hall to visit. They have many great casual dining options in one location with ample seating. Huang Cheng Potsticker is a great addition to Swanson's Market Food Hall.

Had the steamed shrimp dumplings with spicy sauce! Really good.
