Mostly takeout, delicious food! We enjoy eating there, we enjoy talking with the owner, who is an artist and displays a lot of his work on the walls and a lot more variety of his work that you can see in a digital picture frame.

Hands down best food in Oceanside! Always consistent, great prices, large portions, clean, and authentic. The owner is so nice and personable. If I order delivery late night I know it will still be fresh and the owner delivers it to me on his way home and refuses tip or gives it to his employees. Go there a few times and you will be treated like family.

The food here is amazing! The owner, Nestor, is almost always around — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does. I recommend Gyro Bar to everyone I know! On top of that, Nestor is a talented artist, and all the artwork you see inside the restaurant is his own 😍 🇬🇷

Ordered here today for lunch for our meeting at work. The food came fresh and at the exact time we needed. The gyros were very filling and definitely worth the price. The French fries were delicious . They gave us extra ketchup, white sauce and utensils will definitely order from here again.

Nestor and the Gyro Bar team deserve 10 stars! We always enjoy their authentic, delicious Greek specialties and recently, they outdid themselves with a PTA Staff Appreciation Lunch at Oceanside Middle School. The food was outstanding and the school staff were super appreciative of the variety of choices. Plus, it was so nice to hear the staff talk about how they love the Gyro Bar just as much as we do. With generous portions and reasonable prices, Gyro Bar is our #1 choice for tasty Greek cuisine!

Let me begin by saying the food here is excellent, I will continue to order and enjoy their food. However this is the second time i decided to place an order on line and have encountered a small problem. Ordered 2 gyros 1 with extra meat again no marking as to which had the extra meat also ordered heavy everything unfortunately nobody read the order - not only didn't get the extra items requested I didn't get any sautéed onions and only had 1 piece of tomato and no extra tzatziki sauce My suggestion is to call to follow up and also when ordering extra meat only chicken is listed make sure to make the change to the meat you want in the notes

This place is absolutely delicious. Best gyro on the Island, the chicken is always fresh and juicy. The lemon potato's are to die for. The side salad is always jam packed with the freshest veggies and an abundance of feta. If you are ever in Oceanside, or if this is available to you on any of the delivery apps you'd be a fool not to at the very least give them a try to see what you have been missing out on.

The gyros are fantastic and I love the spinach pie lunch, which comes with Greek salad and a pita for like 12 bucks! The grape leaves are tasty and the soup is pretty good.

Initially I was not happy with my food. The first thing I tasted was the falafel, which although were very tasty inside, they were fried so hard on the outside. The outer crust was just thick and hard. Like they were re-fried too many times. Falafel is what I usually use at all Mediterranean restaurants to measure the rating of the food. But the adjoining hummus was creamy and delicious. And I also got a pita with pork souvlaki which was so good! The pork cooked perfectly and the portion of lettuce, tomato, tzatziki and meat was generous and perfectly balanced. I can’t really judge the atmosphere since I did take out, but it looked like a nice place to eat in. The staff was friendly.

Lamb/beef gyro sandwich was great. 5/5. But their parking lot is a disaster. Crushed my car on those potholes. Have to fix that, before I ever come back. Unreal.

I ordered takeout an we got a couple gyros, grilled chicken wrap and a chicken souvlaki platter. The gyros were delicious and came with a generous amount of lamb, a little too much actually had to take some out in order to close my pita and eat (not a bad thing). The grilled chicken wrap came with fried and was huge my 12yr old son only ate half and was filled but he did complain that it was very very dry. The platter was a large serving as well it came with some pitas and salad and was fair for the cost of $18. Overall the gyros were the best and the service on the phone when ordering was direct not rude but not so friendly and warm and inviting which sets other places apart. The atmosphere inside always reflects on the workers. It was a little down the place looked nice and comfortable for eating but you can always feel an inviting atmosphere from the joy and friendliness of the staff, this place could use more of that and business will be better for sure.
