A great local spot for AYCE Korean BBQ with high-quality, not frozen meats which makes all the difference. We especially loved the pork belly wrapped enoki mushrooms and the cucumber kimchi from the generous spread of sides. Our server was fantastic (she had a flower in her hair wish I remembered her name!) and struck the perfect balance between attentive and chill. Drinks stayed full, grills stayed hot. Bonus: it’s right next to 85°C Bakery, so you can grab a sweet treat on your way out. We’ll definitely be back.

I had never been to an American Korean BBQ place before this, and only can compare it to ones in Japan but I thought the service was fast and friendly, meats were of good taste and quality and the place was generally clean. $44.72 for a %10 (first timer discount) premium meal with a 5$ tip and 7$ surcharge. Would go again but if I were to go for my first time I would elect for the cheaper package cause there is already so much to choose from. I was told it gets super busy so the best time to go is right when they open from my experience.

Feel like you’ve traveled to South Korea for two hours! This energetic and savory experience seems like it belongs in LA or downtown SD but it’s in the middle of Oceanside! Incredibly attentive service, healthy tasty food and a fun dining experience will give you a night to remember! Cook under your own hood and eat all you can in two hours for a fixed price: Kobe beef, shrimp, salmon and about 20 other main dishes and 20 sides to choose from.

I love Korean BBQ, they are one my go-to restaurant. This was the first time going to Sonus BBQ and me and my friend had an awesome time. We had to wait a couple of hours because we didn’t know about the reservations and when we got there, there was a lot of people on the waitlist, but I can tell you it was worth the wait. Everything about it was really nice. And the food was even great. I recommend to try out the macaroons ice-cream they have, it is delicious.

We had some skepticism about this place but it was very nicely decorated with large tables. The meat was fantastic and you can get 4 plates at a time. We got the premium option for that American Kobe. Pretty nice knowing there is a good local KBBQ place. Soda is from a can, not fountain but that's to be expected. Get your meat on!

We come at least once a month. It’s a must! Wait times are always reasonable and I love that we can add our party to the waitlist ahead of time. 10/10 best customers service from New Years and Jocelyn always have a smile at every moment! The place is always clean and the entire staff is very attentive! This is why we always choose Sonu over any other Korean BBQ!

We always get the premium menu as there are selections that we like that are not on the regular menu. Our 2 servers yesterday were David and Nuyear, I hope I spelled her name correctly, they were extremely attentive to our needs, both courteous and friendly. But with that being said we have always had great service at SONU. If you do choose to try SONU, you will not regret it. ENJOY!!

Fun place to celebrate a birthday. Went recently with friends for their son’s 11th birthday. The kids enjoyed being able to cook their meat and the servers all made it a pleasant experience. Short rib was the best meat we ordered.

Decent meat, but not all was good. I'd say it was ranging from okay to good. Good pricing though and delicious appetizers, would go again. The waitlist seemed odd, as we put our names in the system in person but people kept being added ahead of us. Weird with the yelp waitlists, I don't think they should do that.

Not many kids that age eat $15 worth of food. At least get them some good, free ice cream. They also charge extra for uneaten food (which usually isn't a problem for our group). So it's really good if you don't have any kids but for families with small kids, it's disheartening.
