As far as diners go this one is great to go to, as soon as you walk in the manager is very friendly, you're at a booth or table asap. It's all smiles and the waiters/waitresses are friendly as well. There's no rush here and the dishes I've had have all been delicious. The diner is very clean and bright as well...Great place!!

Amazing food! Got a delicious egg white omelet mixed with my favorite veggies. They were very accommodating and friendly. Also loved the Halloween decor! Definitely coming back again soon!

Restaurant is very clean we were 3 people we were seated at the exact time we were told we would be there was a 15 minute wait time no biggie my server was an older lovely woman she was was very accommodating very nice and her service was spot on food was delicious and the portions are enormous . I went to Westbury Diner with a friend from out-of State to have breakfast. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our Server came over and greeted us within minutes and took our order. He was exceptionally friendly and the food was great. We enjoyed the ambiance of the place while reminiscing about the good old times while eating our meal. Everything was delicious. Will definitely 💯 be back.

In celebration of the end of Passion Week, our church members gathered here for breakfast fellowship. They prepared a table of 21 and was able to seat us right away. Despite the table being ginormous, the staff were incredibly nice and had so much energy, they were very attentive and our glasses were always full! I was fortunate enough to order their waffles (Waffle Deluxe) which I loved and loved! We waited about good 20-25 minutes, but the kitchen was amazing, we all enjoyed hot dishes of breakfast at the same time (which is very hard to do for some restaurants) and we very much appreciate the fact that they went the extra mile to make this happen. The staff are so amazing and I believe Google and Yelp is quite underrated. We'll definitely be back!

Old Westbury Diner is a classic! The food is consistently delicious, and the portions are generous. From breakfast to late-night cravings, they’ve got something for everyone. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere make it even better!

It's a dinner that offers the usual menu. I enjoy the brightness, cleanliness and the clientele is not loud. You can enjoy a good cup of coffee and a good conversation with the family or friends and a good meal. If something is not of your liking all you need is mention it they keep the customer happy. They keep it clean, the service is good and they will accommodate your needs. Last time I enjoyed the french toast stuffed with cream cheese and blueberries. I bring with me my own fresh maple syrup, I need to ask next time if they serve it. Will let you know:-)

Huge selection of food for any meal. Have not had a bad meal yet! Conveniently location, I meet a family member here who lives an hr away. We each drive about 35 min and have a meal and visit. Pleasant staff.

Stopped in for a quick Breakfast while waiting for a relative. The "Classic".....2 Eggs, scrambled with Bacon and Homefries. Quite tasty and reasonably priced with a Coffee to wash it down. Fast, efficient service. Served hot and by an attentive waiter. Clean environment. Recommended!

Place is huge, plenty of parking and very good staff. You can't go wrong with a home-made dinner burger but my goto is the reuben. They make it right, not a sauerkraut sandwich. If you need a meeting place 20 mins from the cross island, away from the mall and a mile from 2 highways, this is the spot

Always a great Diner, there salads are great burgers are cooked well and the people are always friendly and i love there coffee its actually very strong which is a plus for me. Ill go here when i have no idea what i want for dinner because i cant get a great mix of items. Like the other night i got a chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese with a side salad and it was perfect! Get this, bonus surprise i got coleslaw and pickle with out even knowing and it was very good! Highly recommend this dinner. FYI they have outdoor searing if you want and they renovated the dinner so all the booths are extra high and it feels very private, it was really nice!

My kid and I frequent here often. They help me put together a graduation/birthday for my kid. My servers were awesome and patient with my family. Gia went above and beyond for us. The food was great..came out hot and tasty. Thank you OWD!!

In town for husband's high school reunion and stopped here after six hours on the road, before checking into our hotel. Clean, large dining room. Decorated for Halloween. Typical overly large diner menu, I get a bit overwhelmed with so many choices. Everything looked great. Decided to keep it simple and just get a cheeseburger and fries. It was really delicious, beefy tasting and juicy. I liked that it had cheese on top AND on the bottom. Service was attentive and quick. If we lived nearby I'm sure I'd be a regular. Hoping I get chance to return and try them for breakfast before the weekend is out.

Five stars go to the Westbury Diner! From the minute you walk in, the manager greets you like an old friend offering you a choice dining table. The service is excellent, as is the food. The little touches like pickle bowl and coleslaw are tasty and fresh. The cheeseburgers are juicy and flavorful. The French fries are crisp and soft on the inside. The staff is attentive and welcoming. Well worth repeat visits!

It's a treat when we go to Long Island to visit iconic diners. This place has all of the trappings of a well attended food establishment! The several page menu is oversized and laminated, with a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The main offerings are Greek cuisine. I ordered a grilled chicken and Greek salad wrap. The entree was about as big as my head and included potato salad and cole slaw. We will visit this diner again!

This diner is huge, there’s plenty of seating and the atmosphere is wonderful. Very clean and the food was great. Pretty big portions and it was tasty. The corned beef hash was perfect and the eggs by itself was very delicious. Will be adding this to our breakfast rotation.

I ordered something pretty basic on the menu which was the "Cheeseburger Deluxe" medium temperature, and you know something it was absofreakinlutly delicious cooked to perfection Char-Broil flavor the lettuce and tomato and the onion ring and the pickle all fresh... The coleslaw was extremely disappointing very bland they use white cabbage which had no flavor whatsoever... I make coleslaw for a living and I use green cabbage always... I will go there again and again to go get a wonderful meal..🍔

I have been to many and found that each Long Island diner is remarkably similar as all the others. This one is just as good as any other, but not really any better. No diner is great. The desserts looked phenomenal, but I didn't indulge. Good experience. Wait staff was excellent. Overall a good meal and experience, but not exceptional.

Terrible service. Went for a late breakfast our server didn't take our order for a considerable amount of time. Then no one brought coffee and we had to get up and wave someone down to get the check.

Food was good but the Greek salad I ordered was supposed to come with anchovies. They weren't on the salad. Also there was barely any feta cheese on my salad... The lettuce was not great... I ordered grilled chicken but that was chopped up and cold... Decent but could have been much better...

They get 4 stars for having gluten-free options. It makes getting a diner meal so much easier for us! The food is diner food. Nothing exceptional and nothing horrible. Good omelette, good burgers, good sandwiches. Waitstaff are always friendly and nice. Wish they had more salad options.

First time here. My son and I ordered takeout and the food was good. It held up well from here to Hempstead. My son ordered a cheeseburger with fries. He liked the hamburger, they forgot the cheese. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. We ordered chicken strips and fries for his mom and she really liked it. I got potato skins and I liked them. We also got a brownie for me and his mom and he got a blueberry muffin. We liked those as well. Everything was great portion sizes too. When I'm ready to dine in again this will definitely be one of the first places we come to.

Been going here for 30 years. Great food nice staff. Renovations make the place bigger and better. Easy to see right off of Glen Cove Road. Close to the Northern State Parkway and Old Country Road in Westbury. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Plenty of parking. Reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.

Nice staff, clean as one would expect, food was fine - had a turkey panini - came out with french fries which were just warm enough not to complain but were clearly sitting for a few minutes before being served, and the bacon was pretty rare so good if you like it that way - I don't. Not packed when we arrived but a very steady stream of people coming and going

Met friends for lunch and ordered pancakes deluxe. It’s a generous portion and very good. The waiters and servers are always very nice and attentive. They always keep your coffee cup full and check up on you to see if you need anything.

We have been coming here for well over 10 years. The food is always spot-on delicious! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. If you are someone who needs to follow a gluten-free diet regimen then this can be your place. My wife has celiac and has had no issues with cross-contamination in the last 10 years here. They have gluten-free bread items and as time has gone on the items have gotten better and better in quality and taste just like in the gluten-free industry itself. And I stated already the staff is very attentive especially to her special dietary needs. The one downside of this location is its proximity to the intersection of Glen cove Road and Jericho turnpike. The traffic many times can be challenging trying to get in and out of the parking lot. But once in the parking lot there is plenty of parking for all to be had. So take a shot and go on over and try them out. I think you will not be disappointed.

Food was good. The burger was better than other restaurants. Its amazing how other places can screw up a simple burger or breakfast in the diner business. Owner not particularly friendly and staff at night was inattentive and not too swift. It is a shame because they remodeled recently and the place looks great.

A beautiful Long Island diner that seemingly spends all it's money on the decor and not on their kitchen staff. I honestly can say this is the nicest looking diner I probably ever stepped foot in. I came here with my family and we were impressed by how nice it looked. It was a Friday at 5pm, so it was right before any dinner rush. We got 3 burgers and 1 plate of chicken fingers. Every burger ordered was over cooked to well done, when we asked for medium rare, and there didn't seem to be a pinch of seasoning on any of the food either. Sadly we didn't have enough time to send the burgers back to give the kitchen a second chance. We might give the diner a second chance the next time we are going to Westbury Gardens though.

This diner has changed . Totally remodeled. I believe it must be under new ownership. The breakfast was good. French toast ,eggs and bacon. Cinnamon French toast with fruit was also good. The prices however were high. $42 for the 2 French toast is higher than other diners . Plus tip. I was not fond of the remodeling. Austere rows of booths. I don't see how they can accommodate a very large group. I will not put this diner on my must do list. Handicap parking is good. So is the entry.

Kind of blah…the burger was okay but over cooked for us and the chicken fingers flavor tasted good but they were dry, chewy, and most likely overcooked also. Waited for check but waiter never came back from the time he put the luncheon plates on the table. The reason no check was because there’s no waiter, MIA I guess. We flagged someone down got the check and paid at register. Owner/Manager was made aware of this situation and said he would look into it. I will return and get the same order I had. Hopefully the lunch will be better and not some sub par frozen chicken tenders next time.

Burger ordered medium came out well done. Fries cold on all our plates. Greek gyro and chicken souvlaki served dry with no peppers and onions. Staff lackluster no smiles or energy. Would try the carle place diner next time. Beautiful decor though. Very clean.

Food was ok. Had clam strips appetizer was mostly tiny nuggets. Patty melt was very good. Spicy steak sandwich was not great. Only Spicy part was pepper jack cheese. ..the major malfunction was .. please don't mop with the fabuloso while people are still eating. It was nauseating. Overpowering smell was so harsh we had to leave. Awful, un bearable. I understand if it's closing time and you want to get home. But don't seat us then. It was so brutal. Basic common sense please. Don't feed people in your chemical facility.

Lots of parking, with a very warm welcome offered to us upon entering. The friendly gentleman gave us a choice of booth or table, and we were seated comfortably in an uncrowded room, with lots of workers on the floor. And there we sat for 10 minutes until our server took our order, then left without a word. Another 5 minutes until she put our coffee on the table, then quickly went to the table behind us to warmly greet a few regular patrons. She didn’t seem to like my wife or I very much. No smile or thank you or how are you. Not for us, anyway. Oh well. Our sandwiches finally arrived, wrapped in paper for some reason. The BLT was fine. The tuna salad was dry. The coleslaw and half of a pickle served were tasty. After too long of a wait we got our check. Very peculiar vibe from that server. ♿️

1st time there. Waited almost 45 minutes to get our food. And I ordered something to go, which took almost another 1/2 to receive. They were definitely short staff in the kitchen and wait staff. For a diner service was not great.

There was plenty of parking available. The diner was clean and the staff was helpful. However, the food was not particularly good at this diner. We had different types of Burgers and Fries because there were no good specials or Sautee dishes available. The menu is quite anemic.

I ordered breakfast to go. Home fries and bacon. The home fries should have been called cooked sliced potatoes. They were highly bland no salt, onions or pepper. I just wished they had included salt and pepper. I’m glad I ordered bacon as I was able to chop it up in the home fries for flavor.

Except for the fact that they had gluten free fries (dedicated fryer), and they were decent fries, I have nothing good to write. Burgers were thin and dry, and the buns substandard. Tap water had a weird taste. Service was quick and decent, but tipping was possible only at predetermined tiers.

Open question: Are diners overpriced? The food was fine, pretty standard for a diner. I went with friends and had a good time, though - and that's maybe where diners shine! Its a fairly casual atmosphere. Would I go here again? Not of my own volition. Would I go if a bunch of my friends were going and invited me to catch up? Yes, I haven't seen them for 3 years and this place is as fine as any. It won't break your bank, you won't be hungry after, the and banter is top notch with friends like these.

Burger was burnt when asked medium well. Messed up order twice. 2 stars since manager was willing to make it correctly.

The servers were very nice and efficient. The people working here are not the problem. The atmosphere feels like a hospital cafeteria. Theres a pungent odor that overwhelms you as you enter. Don't worry though, the disgust you feel will soon be replaced with disappointment when your food comes. I had the cornbeef and hash. It's about 85% percent "hash" and 15% beef with way too much salt on it. It's served with a side of "home fries". I put it in quotes because they are not home fries by any definition. It's two potatoes that they smashed, threw on the flattop, and subsequently forgot about until its almost burned. To contrast your overly salty corn beef and trash the home fries are flavorless. I also had the "stuffed" banana french toast. By stuffed they mean a couple slices of banana between two soggy pieces of bread. No cinnamon, no powederd sugar, no kind of special sauce or cream, no love, just disappointment. More than anyone else I feel bad for the cooks that have to work here. It's clear to me that whoever owns this restaurant cares far more about profit margins than actually making edible food. I will not be returning and I urge anyone reading this to look elsewhere for their next meal.

We came here for Father’s Day breakfast. The service was ok but the food wasn’t very good. I had the blandest pancakes I have ever eaten out and they were on the dry side. They were also yellow, which if I’ve had yellow pancakes in the past, it meant there was butter, but there was no butter. The bacon wasn’t very good either and the sausage too. The eggs were a little runny for scrambled. Probably won’t be back.

$25 for steak and eggs over easy, eggs were over hard and looked like they've been cooked in dirt, home fries completely raw. I wouldn't even feed this to my dog. First and last time customer!!!!

I ordered a cheeseburger on a gluten-free bun, I expected a real hamburger not a frozen patty that tasted just like Burger King. The gluten-free bun fell apart. The hash browns do not come without green peppers, part of the ceiling was falling apart. And the service was awful

Not happy with the food, and less happier with the bill. The coffee was terrible. My son's spaghetti was undercooked. The home fries were not that. They were frozen shredded potatoes that were bland. My wife's omlettes with broccoli and cheese has a funky, frozen food taste to it. And to top it all the bill was a whopping $75 for 3 adults and one child meal. We will not be visiting this place again.

Came in today with 2 autistic adults and a man being treated for cancer. Discreetly explained the circumstances and why a booth would be helpful in keeping our party comfortable. Despite the diner being empty, which should have told us something about the food, they were completely unreasonable about giving us a booth in the back with one extra chair. This would not have blocked anyone, and the booth next to us- like all the others- remained empty the entire time. Wait staff had major attitude, manager was uncaring, and the food was baaaad. Will not be back.

I just visited this diner for the first time in years. The chicken noodle soup was like weak dish water and the fruit salad was the worst I've ever had. Totally inedible..I returned it , the way I received it..Nothing was even close to ripe.. I'd imagine artificial fruit would taste better..there was no adjustment to the bill.. The entire family got very sick after eating here despite how sterile the place felt inside. Highly recommend a different location for a meal. Male manager in his 50s was very rude to others near us, but we noticed.

I was very disappointed by what I was served today in the form of a turkey burger. Usually I give this place good reviews, and I wish I took a photo of the serving as you might even laugh. I was so taken aback that I didn't think of doing that and I didn't complain to the waitress. The staff is always nice. I'm sure she would have taken it back. The burger was served open face on a role. No lettuce. Nothing added to give flavor. No taste and dry as a bone. Flat as a pancake. I have never had a turkey burger that bad and with such awful presentation. The person I was with had a nice salad, so I used some of that to make the " burger " somewhat palatable, along with ketchup. I wonder if the owner would eat something like that.

Food was absolutely horrible. The Reuben was soggy and the beef was cut too thick to even be on a sandwich. Then it’s thrown on the plate. My girlfriend’s burger was a greasy mess. And both our fries were ice cold. It was almost like the waiter knew the food looked horrible. He was really nice and the only good thing about this place. When I went to pay they did not care at all after saying I won’t be coming back and that the food was terrible. Absolute waste of money. $14 for a sandwich? Just because you renovated doesn’t mean your customers need to pay for it. My girlfriend and I have been going there since we started dating 5 years ago. Since the renovation we have been back two times. The last time was so so. This time was the last time we will be there. So the place looks nicer but the food is terrible. Do not eat here, save your money and go somewhere else. Management clearly doesn’t care. I’m hoping they will see this, however, I doubt it and they probably still won’t care. How there is good reviews about this place is beyond me. Did these people stop in, look around and not eat the food? This place does not deserve any of the 5 star reviews (which are more than likely fake).

The most disgusting food I've ever had! The tahini sauce was spoiled. When I told the waiter he just looked at me, no response! There were ANTS on the table!!!! Yes, ANTS! Disgusting! Nauseous from the entire experience! They even charged for HOT WATER! Avoid this disgusting diner! Horrible food, ants, waiters that just stare when you tell them there is a problem! Just unacceptable in every way!

Unbelievable how you see the place crowded but the food is not good at all. Please do not get the Calamari, I beg of you. I bought this to go, and they breaded way to much, it tasted mushy not slightly crispy how it suppose to be... Buffalo wings was just regular fried wings, no sauce. The eggs benedict was not good at all... sad! Wrote thus review on the spot before I got up from the table... 1 star was for the decor of the place! Looks nice inside.

Once upon a Diner. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews, more so, to our community business but I just couldn’t let it pass. On our way home from the hospital made a stop here for a takeout- soups and one steak panini. The panini meat was tick and tough, over seasoned with a sort of chimichurri or else, soaked in mayonnaise- please mind an unlisted ingredient- total inedible. Useless. Chicken soap was okay. The service was definitely on the slow side for two orders of soup and one panini but we stood there graciously waiting for our food to come out while the eyeglasses waitress was giving us a disconcerting stare. I guess it was her lunch break giving her plenty of time for minding around. I also noticed that the restroom was dirty. There’s an abundance of way better Diners in the area to choose from where you’ll get to enjoy what you have ordered. I don’t get people being unpleasant and unkind to others when you make your money in tips for God’s sake.

There's a sticky lump in my coffee. The waiter said I dropped the paper when I put the sugar in. I said I don't take sugar in my coffee, he insisted that it was the paper, without any other explanation or apology. It's a terrible experience.
