Un total descubrimiento!!! Tuvimos la suerte de llamar por casualidad y nos dijeron que tenian mesa y menos mal! Tienen una carta extensa con muchos platos de la zona. Nos pedimos las patatas de Olot y los canelones que nos recomendó Joel, el camarero, y un acierto total!! Hemos comido EXCEPCIONAL y el servicio increible y super amable. Nos dieron un chupito de ratafia para terminar y no nos pudimos ir más contentas. Definitivamenre volveremos!!

Buen restaurante de cocina tradicional catalana, sin excesivas pretensiones pero con mucha calidad y a buen precio. Todo estaba delicioso y, sin duda, volveremos a repetir.

Fui con 2 amigas y nos pedimos cada una un menú del día, ya que fue lunes. Mis dos amigas son vegetarianas y como no tenían opciones (y todo llevaba algo de pescado o carne) preguntamos y nos adaptaron el menú para que pudiéramos comer todas. Los platos muy ricos y abundantes. Los postres geniales. Sin embargo lo mejor fue el servicio! Super amables todo el tiempo y cercanos, además de rápidos! Estuvimos agustísimo, muy recomendable si andas por la zona.

Buscábamos una masia catalana para comer en la zona y hemos escogido Hostal de Pagès. La comida está muy rica la verdad, hemos comido muy bien y muy agusto, muy buena atención, y ambiente como toca en un restaurante catalán. Lo que más hemos destacado han sigo las croquetas de calçots, estaban tremendas! Muy recomendable.

Fui a comer con mi pareja y tanto el trato como la calidad de la comida fue increíble, con productos de la zona y postres caseros. Nos pusieron un plato que no estaba en el menú del día dentro del menú por el mismo precio (que fue de 17,50 entre semana) y además el que parecía el dueño nos dió un platito con algo de jamón recién cortado sin siquiera pedirlo! Además está en una urbanización tranquila y se puede aparcar fácilmente en la calle. Muy recomendado y si alguna vez volvemos por Olot de seguro que vendremos aquí.

We don’t usually eat at the same place two days in a row while traveling… but this place completely blew our minds. We came here during our trip for my husband’s birthday and ended up coming back the very next day — that’s how special it was. This is a family-owned Catalan restaurant, and you can truly feel the heart behind it. The son is the last of his family continuing the restaurant, and he is incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell how much love and pride goes into everything they do. The first day, thank goodness I made a reservation because the place was packed. The second day, we were coming back from the mountains in snowy, rainy weather and called last minute. David, the owner, went out of his way to accommodate us and seated us right next to the fireplace so we could warm up — such a thoughtful touch. The food is outstanding. My husband says the canalones are the best he’s ever had (and he does not say that lightly). For me, the red peppers stuffed with cheese were unforgettable. The onion soup is out of this world. We also loved the secreto pork with mushrooms, beef, grilled squid and shrimp, and pork cheeks — every dish perfectly seasoned, never overly salty. The desserts were recommended by David and did not disappoint: tarta de Santiago with a shot of ratafia, and mató with honey. Not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. The staff is amazing. Maria, our waitress, introduced us to their piraña, and after seeing how fascinated I was, she even offered me some raw pork to feed it — such a fun and unexpected moment. I’m originally from LA, where we’re spoiled with great food, and this place truly stands out even by those standards. I’ve already saved it with a heart on my Google Maps and will make it a must-visit every single time I’m in this area. Highly, highly recommend. ❤️

Excellent food (weekend menu €31.50), and even better service from our waiter Joel, who was very attentive, explaining everything and even offering us a complimentary shot at the end. The bartender was also very friendly and seated us quickly and efficiently. They are very organized and served us very fast. Traditional Catalan cuisine. We will definitely return when we are in the area and highly recommend it. Parking is easy.

We ate there and everything was great. The staff was super friendly, and the typical Catalan food was delicious! 😋 I highly recommend it. If you visit Olot, don't miss it! I recommend the Olot potatoes, the oxtail, the gratin macaroni, and the Catalan cream. 🙈

When it comes to food, I don't like planning. I'm the type of person who goes to the supermarket at 8pm to eat at 9 with no idea of what I'm gonna buy. 🤷‍♂️ I don't like booking a restaurant in advance either. Who knows if I'm gonna want to eat sushi or pizza? But it seems that improvising isn't always the best idea... 😅 A few months ago, after a short week-end at La Garrotxa, a volcanic area not too far from BCN, we had to head back to the city and, when we woke up, we decided to have brunch before leaving. We just forgot that we were not in a big city and that not everything was open on Sundays there... and what was open was also packed. 😔 We went to several places where they couldn't accept us and, after a few tries, it was already time for lunch. Change of plan: where can we go for lunch? We tried a few places and the last one we tried before giving up and heading back home on an empty stomach, Hostel de Pagès, was not opened yet. But they still welcome us. Hooray! Not only did they accept us but they immediately served us a small plate of white beans and sausage... that we loved so much that we ordered a big one! We also had a charcuterie board, croquetes and we tried the "potatoes from Olot" (the restaurant is in Olot) which are fritters mainly made of potato and sausage... That was already a lot of food for the 3 of us but we still found room for desserts, one of which was a xuxo. It's a specialty from Girona, a few km away from Olot. Yet this xuxo was better than all the ones I've had in Girona so far. We really enjoyed everything: the food, the service (super nice, attentive, proactive) and even the price: we paid €20 each (no wine). No wonder why so many people were queuing when we left! See, improvising IS the best! Quality & taste: 10/10 Quantities: 10/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Originality: 7/10 Ratio price / quality: 10/10 Service: 10/10 How I felt afterwards: 10/10

If you don't know where to eat, this is your place, homemade food, they use local products for prepare the food. Canalons and the pork cheek piece also too (carrillera). The owners and the staff are very friendly and u feel like u are at home.
