The best mexican cuisine in the village, Palisades, Tahoe. Service was amazing and food was delicious! Hit this place up after riding the mountains for a happy tummy and heart. Check out the pictures!
This is one of the best if not the best food option in the village! Very busy but the food and drinks are amazing! The best tortilla soup I've ever had. Perfect after a ski day!The service not so attentive understandably due how busy it can get.
Great authentic Mexican! I ordered off the bar menu and was delighted with the fish tacos and Chile relleno! Hands down the best free chips and salsa I’ve ever gotten at a Mexican restaurant. Clearly homemade with love. This place is awesome - the service is great! 10/10 recommend.
Pretty good Mexican food and solid portion sizes, especially the fajitas. Bit expensive. For vegetarians, there is a plant based meat alternative (soyrizo), but it’s not always available. Depends on the day.
Good, fresh food. Sizeable portions. Friendly waiter. Carne asada was tender, well seasoned. My wife tried to eat the nachos, but it's a Huge plate of food! As others have said, the chips and salsa are quite good. Plan on $20-$25 per person for most entrees. Drinks more...
Actually some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. Very friendly service. Greeted immediately upon entering. Checked on several times while seated. We ordered the carnitas plate and carne burrito both of which were really good! Food came out quick. Large portions. Each plate was enough for 2 meals. Would def come back!

My favorite restaurant and bar in the village! The margaritas are excellent, and the outdoor patio views of both mountains are beautiful 😍 The indoor seating is great with booths, and super nice people working there!

Ordered take out dinner online. Food was ready on time and received very friendly service when picking up. We ordered fajitas and they were excellent! They did forget some of the tortillas so check for that when you pick up. Highly recommend this place.
Always one of the best Mexican restaurants around. Food is always very good and well made—even compared to Bay Area restaurants. Servers and bartenders are super friendly with good selection of tequilas. But it is about 40-60 min wait if you arrive betw 5-7p and no reservations allowed. But nearby is a market and ice cream shop with several fire pits on the patio to wait. For hungry people: go for the Molcajete. It comes in a cool piping hot lava rock bowl (used for grinding spices/avocado normally) and has a ton of sliced steak, chicken, shrimp, Oaxacan-style cheese and traditional Nopales (cooked cactus). It’s a cool experience for hungry teenagers or just to try for the table. Plenty of good kids options too.

I stayed in The Village for a recent work trip and didn't book dinner for our last night since we hadn't made up our minds on where to eat. Tremigo ended up being the only spot a few of us hadn't tried yet and since we had gluten-free teammates, Mexican food felt like a solid option. We were a group of 16 and really wanted to sit together, so getting a same-day reservation for a private group felt like a long shot. But I decided to swing by Tremigo anyway to ask. They asked me to fill out their online form, and within minutes, I got a call from the owner, Rachel, who helped sort everything out quickly and seamlessly. When we arrived, the outdoor setup was beautiful -- we had our own private space and a special group menu. Most of us ordered the fajitas and they were a huge hit! Everyone kept commenting on how good the food was and how tasty the drinks were. The team had an awesome time, and I really appreciated how accommodating Rachel and the staff were on such short notice. Would absolutely come back again. Thank you Rachel and team for making our last night in so memorable!
We had lunch at Tremigo recently and it was great! Everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos. My only disappointment was that they had substitute fish that day. The tacos were still great. We also had the margarita tree. Absolutely delicious. The prickly pear was my favorite, but all four flavors were excellent!
Tremigo Mexican Kitchen has quite a large interior, featuring a large bar and numerous tables, even some around the corner in the back of the restaurant. The menu features all your classic dishes you’d expect to find at a Mexican restaurant. However, coming from Southern California, I don’t think the quality is quite as good. Everything felt pretty “standard” and nothing stood out as noteworthy. Even the mixed drinks were quite weak.

The street tacos were great but the Chile Relleno and Arroz con Pollo were just not tasty. Beans and rice were just OK. Overpriced for the quality of food.. Service great and Margaritas were good. Stick with the tacos or no sause plates here. Sitting out side in the summer is nice but kinda loud inside. I must be getting old... best part was seeing a cool dump truck outside.
Ok, let’s wait. That’s what I did. I waited for my food for a decent amount of time. It was not absurd, but one of the people I was eating with got his food and finished it before I got mine. I feel like that’s not normal right? Is it? Maybe I’m overreacting. I definitely am over reacting. The food was great. I got this burrito bowl. It was amazing. The flavors blended well together. It felt fresh and flavorful. The fattiness of the meat played well into the fresh vegetables and rice. I also got toquitos, not sure how to spell that. They were good but one of the people I was eating with said that they were bigger. I’m not complaining I’m just wishing they were bigger than they were now. Let me be clear, they were normal sized toquitos. But I saw a photo of bigger sized toquitos. I’m being over dramatic. Also, unrelated but the person I was planning on asking to prom might be going with one of my best friend. Not sure how I feel about that and it’s been messing with my mental space so don’t take this review too seriously. Anyways, would highly recommend this spot compared to other places around that area.
Absolutely loved the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. Lots of plants, something that I wish more joints would bring in, succulents and cacti all over. Great large window with a beautiful view of the village. They had the game playing, big bonus! Onto the food, they were pretty proud of being ranked number one in 2021, and don't get me wrong, the presentation of the food was absolutely incredible, however, being someone from southern Arizona, I was a little disappointed with how bland the flavors were, especially for the price, but in a ski village, I'm sure a lot of that was the tourist tax. Ordered the taco salad and the Molcajéte, and the corn tortillas were very disappointing. They did however kill it with the chips and salsa, I would come here for those alone!

Good food, just not very much for the price. Our waitress was awesome. Gave us free chips. Appreciate the good service.
Refused happy hour prices because “they were busy with weddings on Saturday” ??? We came here on a Sunday for happy hour after a hike on the mountain. We sat outside, the margs were lovely, the sun was shining, everything was great until our bill came. With no happy hour prices applied to our bill, I mentioned to our server that I thought there was an error on the bill. She said “we are not doing happy hour.” I pointed to the plethora of signs marketing daily happy hour from 2-4 (see below). The manager on staff proceeded to explain to me that they won’t apply happy hour prices because “it was a busy Saturday. There were a lot of weddings.” When I asked how that impacted Sundays happy hour, she then said “well I didn’t give happy hour to anyone today so I can’t give it to you.” I then asked her if she might honor the marketing she became visibly flustered and essentially told me to screw off. It was a complete bait and switch!! Watch out!! I used to love this place, and I still love the dubliner, but I’m beyond disappointed. It would be lovely to see some leadership that owns up to their mistakes rather than forcing it upon the customer. Until then, I won’t be back.
Came for happy hour to get 50% off street tacos and $10 margs. Got charged full price. Waitress said they don’t do happy hour on the weekends anymore even though there were multiple signs at the establishment claiming that it happens DAILY from 2-4pm. Won’t be going back.
Outside they have a big board saying happy hour everyday 2-4. And at 2.21 they charged us $10 per beer claiming we do happy hour only if it’s not busy. Bizarre place! Bad service!
I think I can easily say this was my worst experience during my honeymoon in lake Tahoe. The customer service is just downright bad if you don't look like you're going to give them a very generous tip. They clearly do not care about you. I remember we eventually sat down. Waited over 20 minutes and had to eventually flag a regular waiter down to even take our order They didn't seem like she wanted to take her order. She ended up just walking away and getting somebody else. I explained to them. I did not want beans in my nachos and sure enough there were beans all over the nachos which we got maybe 30 minutes later. Meanwhile, we saw people that came in after us have full service, got their food before us and were finished before us because they look like they came from a conference of some sort. When we got the food the nachos were honestly burnt and almost felt like it was just thrown at us like dog slop I cannot stress enough. Do not go here even when we complained their apology. Didn't seem sincere like they cared we didn't even finish the food we paid and left. I would not come here again
False Advertising, Disgusting Food, and Shady Business Practices – Avoid at All Costs! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Nothing about this restaurant is honest or sanitary. First, they falsely advertise a happy hour on their website that doesn’t actually exist. I came in expecting the advertised specials, only to be told by my server, Eliot, that there was no happy hour at all. No explanation, no effort to honor what was advertised—just “we don’t do that.” Then came my meal, which I specifically ordered without dairy—yet when it arrived, it was covered in sour cream and cheese. I was frustrated but willing to scrape it off myself, until I discovered a hair buried in my food. Disgusting. When I brought this to Eliot’s attention, he acted completely inconvenienced by my concerns.with just an annoyed attitude like I was the problem. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable eating the rest of my meal, especially since I had ordered shrimp, and this whole experience made me seriously question the cleanliness and food safety standards of this restaurant. As if all that wasn’t bad enough, I decided not to leave a tip due to the awful service. Then I checked my credit card statement and saw that Eliot had fraudulently added a tip for himself after I had already signed the receipt. That is flat-out theft. This restaurant lies about its promotions, serves unsanitary food, employs rude staff, and engages in fraudulent business practices. Stay far, far away.

Service was horrible. It wasn't busy at all and our waitress Sonja was to busy just hanging out and talking to coworkers drinking whatever she had in he paper cup instead of working. Once again not busy open seats we waited 20 min to be greeted and seated while we were in plain site. Took 15 min to be waited on and we received water. Food came fast from another waiter. Food was good. They forgot chips and salsa I had to ask twice for them. Waitress Sonja walked by twice during meal never asked if we needed anything. Ran out of drinks never asked for refills. Had to flag her down to get a check.Sonja took forever to bring check .
Came in with a group of 7. Bartender insisted that we have one group tab as it would take too long too charge us individually( bar was not busy- it’s a Wednesday night). But Ok fine. Bill comes and the bartender has applied a group gratuity rate applied to groups of 6 or more. Food was ridiculously priced too. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bartender was the short man with a black mustache.
