The food and atmosphere were top notch except for this screaming child who was seated near us.. our waitress Emma went above and beyond even though we are both very indecisive individuals. Food came out extremely fast for being a rush hour on a Friday night.
Another excellent meal here. They have a great bar here for sure. You know how you always say the drinks are better at home? Not here. Always the best drinks, the best steaks and the best service. I love this place!!
I just want to start by saying don't let the bad reviews push you away I almost let it stop me from going. We had reservations on New Year's Eve , it was pretty busy and we still got seated instantly. Our waitress Jessica was pleasant and attentive the entire time ! Food was great, we started with the French onion soup and we also got a New York strip and the four cheese Mac. Salad was awesome as well . We got the shrimp linguine as well. it was fine, I will say if you're not a fan of a lemon I wouldn't order. Other than that great experience!
This place is the best my first time and it's great service excellent food excellent I give it 5 stars.
We came here last Saturday for my sisters birthday dinner. We wanted something close since our grandparents would be coming as well. Everything tasted amazing and the staff was great. We ordered 4 appetizers for our large group of 9 which was plenty for everyone to try something. The fried mushrooms and onions were huge. The potato skins and the sauce for the mozzarella sticks was delicious. The French onion soup is one of my favorites. We all got a variety of entrees such as the house special, prime rib, roast beef, chicken fingers, NY strip and the steak house burger. Steaks and burgers were cooked to the perfect temperature. None of us were disappointed. I wish we could’ve gotten a picture of my grandmas face when they brought out her meal. She was not expecting the portion size at all. It was priceless. I feel that for it being a steak house pricing for everything was very reasonable, even lower than other places I’ve been. We came around 5:30 and it was the perfect time for our group size before the dinner rush. The attached photo has mushrooms added to the top of the steak. The amount was perfect for me to share with a relative who forgot to add some to their steak. We had a great time and will be back again.
Prime rib is amazing. They give you popcorn too! 😀
They have the best steaks!! We enjoyed our dinner here! The server was so very nice and answered any questions we had! So worth the money!
Went to celebrate my husbands bday. Our waitress Taylor was awesome…as well as the young lady that helped her during service. I saw that people said the prices were high but I don’t agree..our bill for my family of 5 was very reasonable..and it was a total of 8 of us. My husband loved his steak..I looooooved my French onion soup and the Tiffany salad which by the way is huuuge lol. We all enjoyed our dinner. I gave a 4 star for atmosphere only because of the flies that bothered us. Over all I’d suggest going if you love steak, French onion soup and or salad..again for the price that salad was beyond huge..I’m STILL eating it 2 days later. Lol! The price was worth it..the food did NOT disappoint.
We went there to celebrate our 29th anniversary and every single dish was delicious and our server (Dana) was excellent. Our appetizers and entrees had to have been brought out as soon as they were plated as they were very hot. Our steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We were too full to get dessert while we were there, but we did get carry out to enjoy tomorrow :) Thank you Cousino's for a perfect anniversary dinner!
Had a wonderful evening with the hubby. Dinner and appetizers were amazing as well as the drinks. Definitely recommend
We unknowingly arrived 20 minutes before close. Our waitress was lovely and not once rushed us. The food was amazing. We left at 9 which was when we realized they had closed at 8. Highly recommend
Visited the toledo zoo and decided to try a new restaurant. This one didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and our waitress Sherri was wonderful.
This was just one of the best steakhouses I've been to in a long time not part of a chain the waitresses and staff were very attentive but not to the point where it was intrusive. So many steaks to choose from I want with the porterhouse next time I will try the New York both Untold are equally fantastic but as for the porterhouse I can attest to just how yummy it was!!
Wife and I preferordered the chicken piccatta and the chicken parmesan. Both were excellent. Service was great atmosphere vintage and tasteful. One small gripe, portions feel a little small for the cost. But quality is top tier so still 5 stars
Bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly, best first to last bites I've ever had. Portion sizes were good. Only cons were that the potato cassarole had an inedible baked crust on top, but maybe thats how it's made. Basically everything was delicious. 176$ for two peoples steaks and two appetizers, a little pricey but I was aware going in and we'd have gone to taco bell if price was our big concern. Staff was great, our waitress was amazing and other staff were also friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great, lots of neat little touches like the big ship model etc. i wanted to take my nephew to a nice restaurant for the experience and we both really loved the food and honestly each got two meals out of it with the leftovers we brought home.
Food was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We were seated immediately.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cousino's Steakhouse has a truly charming space with classic appeal. The ambiance takes you back in time with its nostalgic decor and warm atmosphere. This visit, I indulged in the prime rib (end cut), which was cooked to perfection. It paired beautifully with their house potato casserole and a house salad topped with their homemade French dressing. This place never disappoints, but today was my favorite visit so far. Can't wait to come back!
This was our first time visiting Cousino’s. The bruschetta was delicious, and the Ribeye steak was amazing. Our service was spot on, and the carrot cake was the finishing touch to a memorable evening out. We will definitely be back.
Great place to eat! Only gripe is the food is pricey. Very good! But too expensive.
A wonderful and historic restaurant that proves why they have been around so long!!! The prime rib was the best I've had in Ohio! The service was amazing and the rolls were absolutely delicious!!! I will definitely be coming back!
Was in town for the hot rod power tour and needed to eat. Saw this place has been around since the 40’s and had great reviews. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Top notch quality, food, service, atmosphere. Will be back next time I am in Toledo.
Steak was in very juicy and cooked perfectly. The chocolate martini was great. Service is excellent.
Dana is single handedly keeping this place together. Came in with a massive event group and for a while she was the only waitress and still managed to handle all of us. She better get a massive cut of the pie for the work she put in tonight.
Great place, could tell it was a local gem, we stopped passing through on a trip. Food was delicious the House special steak was especially better than most chain steak restaurants, service was excellent, cozy local atmosphere, we will stop again in the future.
I just wanted to Thank Aileen and her wonderful team in helping me and my family celebrate my mother's 80 th Birthday on the 27th. Special thanks to Cory the chef who was so accommodating in adding last minute selections for the event and Charlie and Maggie who were our phenomenal servers. Food was delish and a great time was had by all.
I had the strip steak with asparagus and wife had the bone in Ribeye. Cooked perfect and both were outstanding. Drinks were a dirty Martini and old fashioned... both were very good. We had not been back in over 15 years so we were not sure what to expect! Our waitress Lori was outstanding and made this dinner off the charts. We will be back.
The food was good. The mushrooms and onions were a little salty. The French onion soup was the highlight of the meal. The steak was overcooked a little bit. The shrimp were great. The server was a little on the unattentive side at the end. The prices are a little bit higher than most places. The smothered chicken was a little dry. The onion rings were top notch.
Went the entire way with appetizer, entree, and dessert. Bruschetta with a cup of French Onion, the $51 Filet Med Rare with rice and wierd-topping potato, and finally blueberry cheesecake and unsatisfactorily non-cracking cremé brulee. Aside from feeling like we were constantly in the path of the heater 90% of the meal was as expected. Appetizers were amazing and the steak was a great treat for the price. The attached mystery cream from the potato was too weird to explain, and the cremé brulee was more cream than crack. Service was beyond pleasant.
Had a great meal at Cousino's Steakhouse today. This restaurant has been at this location since 1945 and they still deliver/serve a great time and meal. This is the third generation of the Cousino family owning/operating this restaurant at this location. They are known for their steaks, but they also offer seafood and other dishes(roast beef dinner, chicken parmasan-which is quite delicious, there's a full menu to choose from). Had a strip steak, salad and casserole potatoe, this is one of Cousino's staple meals. This meal, as with all their dishes, are never disappointing and Cousino's is just a great restaurant. There's also a full bar menu(drinks-beer and liquor and also a great wine offering). Their staff is very friendly and helpful and will try to make your night-out /meal very rewarding for your group whether there's 2 or more guests. I've been eating at Cousino's for over 60 years and have yet to be disappointed
Ok the pros. The food was amazing. From the appetizer to desert. Our waitress was super friendly. Ordered the Jumbo shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were huge. The bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly. Lots of options for desert and I got the chocolate turtle cheesecake. It was probably the best cheesecake that I've ever had. My wife and the French onion soup and she loved it. The place was clean and they did their best to make it look like fancy restaurant. Now the cons. Way OVERPRICED, $16 for 4 Jumbo shrimp is ridiculous. As good as the steak was it wasn't worth $50. Plus it's $4 each for sautéed onion and mushrooms. Deserts were actually reasonably priced. Drinks were expensive. They give you 3 rolls for 2 people, really? Now the worst part was, they seated a group of 8 with 2 noisy kids. Kinda ruined the experience. There was a separate area that they could have seated them in more suitable for kids. With all that said the food was a 9 out of 10. Unfortunately I will probably will not go back. I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and my bill would have been at least $100 cheaper. And it would be a more acceptable place for ignorant parents that like to bring their kids to a restaurant.
We went as a family. My husband, myself, and 3 kids. The staff are sweet and friendly and attentively vigilant. The food is almost as good as getting made from home, and the quality is worth the price. Those who end up going there to eat as well are friendly and kind as well. Everyone was enjoying my 1¼year old daughter smiling and playing with them.
I’ve never been here so not sure what to expect. We were greeted and seated right away. Good service and the food was delicious. I got the steak medallions and it was flavorful.
Prices are a little tad expensive now for what you get. The food is always good, however it took them 2x to get me a medium steak.
To be honest this place is all show and that’s it! The prime rib is very un delightful, their special sirloin is nothing special. When u ask for a little Cajun they smother it in n it’s not edible. I can cook a steak hella better. I rather waste $60 at the grocery store for a steak to cook myself.
Food was good, service was awful. We were there for over an hour and a half, and by the time our food finally came, we had to hurry up and eat because we had a concert we were going to. We both ran out of drinks while we were eating our meals and never got refills. There was a huge wait between our appetizers and our salads, so long that I almost threw some money on the table to cover our drinks and appetizers so we could leave. I just feel that if you’re going to charge those kinds of prices for food, you ought to have outstanding service.
Service was very slow , considering the restaurant was not busy, there were little fly's buzzing around our table and in our faces while we sat waiting and while we're eating ,I ordered the 10 oz prime rib , medium rare , it had no pink , it was more like well done , the flavor was , just Ok. The potato casserole was just plain gross , it looked like the left over potatoes from the night before , mashed up , slopped in a cup with some kind of cold dill sauce poured over the top . The presentation of my dinner was very poor. The prices you people charge are ridiculous for the service and food that we received. Never again will we eat at this restaurant .
What can I say...it was edible. Oh, and way over priced. i had Cory's fried chicken. The chicken tasted like flour( I use a flour, salt and pepper for my homemade fried chicken and it's amazing so no excuses). The gravy was definitely jarred or powdered and only got a little bit of gravy on top of the chicken on top of the mountain of mashed potatos. So it was soaked up in the perfectly oval piece of flour chicken. Bland ,bland, floury bland. My husband had the english roast beef( the better dish of the 2) bland gravy but all in all not too bad but not worth $30. We tried the signature potato casserole and sorry but gag me with a spoon! Service was exceptional, atmosphere was great if only the highly over priced food compared! Sorry 😔
I ordered 2 cousino burgers via door dash and received two orders of some kind of garlic pasta . I called the restaurant and was told they didn't make a mistake and door dash did.
Took almost an hour to place an order after seated. Chicken Marsala looked like thin ground chicken patties.
Used to love coming here. 2 of us both steaks asked for medium rare came out rare asked for the other medium well came out medium rare. The bread rolls are old its freezing inside just totally not worth it anymore. Will not return... very expensive for what it is
I was in there the other night with my family. The experience started off badly as the host did not even ask if I wanted a high chair for the 1 year old I was holding. He basically just threw the menus on the table and walked away. And then, I was absolutely stunned by the increase in the prices. I hadn't been in a few years and the prices literally doubled. I paid $28 for a 12 oz steak. I went to Texas Roadhouse the other day and got a 20 oz bone in ribeye for $30! The bone in ribeye at Cousino's was $68! The steak was cooked okay and tasted okay, but I'll tell you right now that the steak I had at Texas Roadhouse was far superior in every way. Lastly, they used to offer a kids sirloin steak that they for some reason got rid of and now want you to buy your 10 year old a ridiculously expensive steak off of the adult menu. No kids steak on the menu in a steak house. I used to be a huge fan of the place, but I won't be back. The waitress was good.
Food : Steak was done to my preference, but my mashed potatoes tasted like they had garlic powder poured into them, inedible. Service : Waited 20 minutes for refills (on water), we were a table of 10, and were told we needed to order quickly because if not it would be waiting 45+ minutes after the other before they could start on our food. (we had reservations, not like we just popped in) Also the onions tasted like the chef cannot pull out onion skin. Inedible. Atmosphere : Nice on the inside, super dated though. Looks like a classic 80's steakhouse. Men's bathroom was gross. The manager pointed at our table telling the waitress that if we didn't order quickly they wouldn't serve us for 45 minutes. While she was standing next to our table. Which blows my mind if you accept a reservation and then do that. Also for a party of 6+ they add 20% gratuity. I always tip well for good food and service, but after getting a strip steak for $50+ with the problems and being told to hurry up, I won't be back again. It's like the manager and waitress didn't care about our table because they knew they were going to tack on that 20%. Ontop of that its a 3% (OF YOUR TOTAL BILL) fee for credit cards. This place has gone bad, very bad prices, service bad, and manager bad. Avoid!
I went to this place for the first time with my fiancé we came in a little late. Our server was terrible and treated us differently from her other table that was right behind us. When I ordered a glass of wine she was puzzled asked for my ID and examined it under the light above our heads !!! And then mistakenly told me the lobster tail was 45 dollars after 30 minutes she comes out and tells me it’s 70 I order a filet medium rare after that and it was the most rare steak I’ve ever seen in my life like it was pulled out the freezer. She then checked on the table behind us asking if everything is tasting well and if the steak is too rare offered them a refill on their margaritas and not once did she ask me and my fiancé any of these questions I still tipped well and didn’t make a scene to speak to a manager because it was 9. Absolutely worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life.
Did not deliver house Salad just the dressing and it was wrong. Cousino's did not deliver Casserole Potato either. The sirloin steak burger was over cooked, I ordered med rare. It was burnt. They sent a rotten (black) stinky dry baked potato. No silverware napkins condiments for burger. Nothing. Such a terrible meal. Every nurse here couldn't believe you Cousiinos stooped so low.
Bad experience i asked them to give salad and I said them 2 times i only need veg no meat even though they gave me bacon which im not allowed to eat and I dont even like Salad they gave me a big piece of Lattues and had fungus in it not worthy
I ordered a porter house which was medium it was served well done with no flavor or seasoning honestly the worst steak I’ve ever tasted and my fiancé ordered a 16 oz prime rib which was more than half fat and again no flavor.. mind you we each only took one bite of our food before we were able to tell we needed to have our food sent back.. I brought the manager over and she said that is an Adequate piece of meat I’m not doing anything for that. I then said I would like to send the prime rib back and she said no. I said well certainly you will help me out in someway you didn’t meet my expectations. She said ok we will call the police. I asked to speak to another manager and she corrected herself she was the OWNER!! She called the police and had me criminal trespassed over extremely bad service. Food that honestly was of no quality of expectation. My bank said they will dispute the charge for me and I will likely get it back with photos I provided of the food being scandalous. I would strongly recommend Outback or Texas Roadhouse before coming here!! I threw $150 in the trash literally!
:( Was excited to try this place for a celebration for my husband, but when speaking to the owner (older lady for what it sounded like), she told me "it's better to come during the weekdays because it [Pittsburgh style] smokes up the kitchen too much". What?! Disappointed.
$28 for a chopped sirloin? It's literally just a big hamburger with gravy and onions. Come here if you enjoy mediocre extremely expensive food. Not worth it at all.
I've been coming here for the last 13 years and it usually gets worse and worse each time, today I was sick and tried to order Togo food and the bartender who was working today was the most disgusting human I've ever dealt with from the second I called, to walking in and waiting for the order. She continued to talk crap to me and trying to make fun of me for "forgetting" to add on a kid meal. When I called I waited over 5 minutes just to place the order then the second she got back on the phone was rushing me off it saying okay. Next, next, next before I could even say a word, so I thought maybe shes just busy and excused the rudness of her behavior. So I called right back 30 seconds later and said I want to add on something to the order and she was so rude about it and said how do you forget your kids food. I said we'll because she wanted something else from somewhere else and then changed her mind and wanted a burger.(not that I should have to explain myself to a stranger!)Then when I went inside and she kept trying to be rude about it and said again, "yeah the order where you forgot your kids meal". I asked her if she thought she was a comedian and told her I don't want to deal with her, I want to deal with someone else to cash me out and she said there are no managers she is the manager and continued to escalate the situation and told me to leave. So happy I got to save my money and not spend it on a place that associates themselves with this kind of treatment and behavior, I don't recommend dealing with these disgusting people ever!
We had a great night but the lady manager was extremely rude We ran in our friends there and they were getting a table and we asked if we could just push the tables 2 together and she told us No we don’t do that Very rude. As I was in town for a couple night . Couldn’t even catch up with them next time we will not Be eating there while in town As well as my brother in laws food the roast beef was hard and dry The waitress went above and beyond as she took it back to show the cook and manager she insisted it got taken off the bill as it was uneaten and couldn’t .. my food was fantastic and so was my sisters
