Not an exaggeration but this is the best taco spot in Lamorinda by a country mile. I’m so grateful to not have to make the trek to Oakland or SF for good tacos. The highlights are the birria tacos, pastor and soyrizo (for vegetarians). The consome is on point too. Super friendly staff too. Ideal location in downtown Orinda with plenty of parking. 10/10

A side of fries- piping hot, fluffy inside, so fresh, crispy around all the edges- these are the best fries ever, and I don't say that lightly! Vegan Soy Chorizo tacos were top notch and truly the best I have had. Even my meat loving friend enjoys them. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. There are only a couple tables indoors but several outdoors in a nice plaza setting. A great side dish to round out your meal is the rice and beans. Without cheese they are vegan and are hot and delicious. I order without cheese to make them lower in salt and fat.

Best soy chorizo tacos ever. Reasonable priced and pretty quick to order and recieve food. Have some outside tables and inside. Staff are always kind and efficent. You usually get some chips and salsa with an order over a certain amount. My only little complaint is the freebies aren't always consistent even when i order the same thing everytime. Sometimes I get chips and salsa and a cookie, sometimes just chips, sometimes just a cookie, sometimes nothing.

Birria torta was BOMB. Hot, huge, and the bread itself was delicious too. Birria was rich and full of flavor. 14.50 for a torta (06/08/23) that comes with fries and pickled veggies. Comes with a cup of consome which was great. You can ask to customize your order and the guys who fix the food are super nice. Try the ube horchata, pretty damn good with free refills on all the fountain drinks.

Authentic, fresh, delicious tacos! Wow! Friendly service, fair prices.. They also gave me a free cookie with my takeout order.

The food & service was Great, I never expected to get a Smash Burger at a Mexican restaurant. I skipped the Jalapeno sauce. It was a large cheeseburger with a generous portion of fries for under $10. The inside seating area is very small, but the staff was friendly and helpful, as this was my first time visit, but will be going back for the Burrito. Dano

I’ve been eating here since they opened. Tacos are my favorite here, especially Al pastor, they even throw a slice of pineapple on each taco. Always consistent and always legit street tacos, served with delicious salsa and spicy jalapeños/carrot mix. They have added other new items to their menu (smash burger) but I’ve only tried their delicious tacos. Trust! These tacos won’t disappoint! Service at times could be hit or miss. There’s a new guy at the register who recently gave my friend and I rude vibes. He was definitely new. The old crew is way sweeter and always gracious. Thanks Camelones for making most delicious tacos on this side of the Bay!

Great addition to Orinda. The pastor tacos and burritos are outstanding, as are the quesabirria. Consume is legit. Come visit these guys - you won't be disappointed! And chicken tacos are a hit with my kids.

The food here is so delicious! The al pastor and carnitas are my personal favorite protein choices. The portions are generous, and the staff is always so friendly. I also really like the agua fresca drinks! Try the ube horchata if it is available.

The food was amazing. Service took a while mainly because it had a lot of pickup orders and it is one of the most popular restaurants in Downtown Orinda. They serve up a lot of good dishes including tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. They also got a new ordering kiosk lately and people love it!

The portion of salsa verde is tiny, which didn't matter because it had zero flavor. The tortilla chips tasted like Asian fried wontons, still tasted good, but definitely not expecting that. They really put a high priority on phone orders over walk-in customers, so you might be waiting a bit while they're on the phone. Yes, I would eat here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here

First experience rating. Salmon Tacos. Good portion&price. It was good. I waited 25minutes for 3salmon tacos. And it was not very busy. The cook was doing his best but I was only on a 45min break&more than half the time was spent on waiting here. I’ve been to many and busy taquerias, this has never happened. Im not exaggerating. Edit: had to add another star. Those were good tacos.

I went here and was very disappointed when my request to get sour cream on the side was denied. It makes no sense when every other restaurant can accommodate your needs, but this one refused to put sour cream on the side. It made no sense as the reasoning I received was that we make sour cream is already made? It made no sense to me, as all that needed to be done was, instead of pouring sour cream on my taco, you just put that small amount on the side of my plate. The staff was also very rude when I questioned why. I agree the tacos were good, but certain requests should be considered. There's no need to be money hungry for something that could be easily done, especially since I am paying for the ingredients in the taco.
