Asian Chao at Orlando Airport receives mixed reviews. Many customers praise the excellent and friendly service, specifically mentioning Clari, Christian, Victor, Noemi and Mariam. However, some customers complain about dry or old food, and rude service.
Tip: If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal at the airport, Asian Chao can be a good option, especially if you're craving orange chicken. Be aware that freshness can vary.
I enjoyed Bourbon Chicken and Orange Chicken served with a portion of Fried Rice, accompanied by a bottle of water, all for a reasonable airport meal price of £18.30. The meal was tasty and cooked to perfection, and it will definitely keep me satisfied for most of the day. The staff were professional and friendly, and I found a table right in front of the eatery to enjoy my meal. I will definitely stop by again the next time I’m in the area.
Christian, Victor, Noemi, and Clari were incredibly kind and attentive. Their excellent service truly made the experience special. I highly recommend this place thanks to their professionalism and warm hospitality. The food was great and at an accessible price.
Great service and good! Lovely staff, and very speedy service. Generous portions, fresh homemade food! Would recommend.

Great tasty food, Zulay was very helpful and wonderful, I was undecided on what to get and she helped me choose, she is very friendly as well, she made the experience worth it, will definitely recommended you guys to my friends and family.
Carymar and Karylin were very nice and the food was great
Liza and Maria are the best. Great customer service. Thank you.
This is the best restaurant to eat at by far. The bourbon chicken was amazing as well as the orange chicken. The chow mein had the perfect amount of crunch and great flavor. The green beans are a little undercooked but still delicious. My favorite restaurant ever!
Maria was very kind and helpful and the food was great!
Polite and quick service. Food smells great.
Very good food Service was quick and employees had much patience with my austistic kid Will definitely grab a bite again on my flight back home…….
Great airport experience! Fast and easy food!
Good food. Nice girls behind the counter!
Very kind and friendly Service Thank you guys
Service was fast food was great!
Cashier very helpful and nice to customers will recommend
Maybe it’s the hunger that built waiting on a gate for 40 minutes after landing, but this place fully hit my expectations and hopes. Currently full of orange chicken, Thai spicy chicken, and rice and I got no complaints.
Love it here ! Always a great serviced
Surprised at the ratings: the best airport lunch I have eaten in a very long time! Sweet & sour chicken, mushroom chicken and noodles were very good. At $14 for a 2-meat combination, is almost enough for two people. Airport food is always expensive and low quality, this was the exception.
I’ve had a great experience with Clari’s customer service. She was professional, and genuinely helpful. I love her energy and how excited she was!!
Always a friendly group, especially for an airport. I’m a regular and my hands are usually full. They always help me out and are far more attentive than a lot of the surrounding eateries. I definitely recommend when passing through MCO in the 100-129 gates.
Victor was super nice and patient while I was making my order highly recommend them
Great service and friendly staff. The food was super tasty
I love the way that Karen take care of me, because I didn’t know what to get and she offer me a good option
Suani, carymar and Maria were very nice and the food was amazing thank you for their 5 star service
Entire line crew was great! Positive attitude, always smiling, Liza went above and beyond with ensuring my large order was correct.
Yummy food and quick service! The girls at the counter were friendly and energetic
Noemí is the best at this location! Always a smile, always great costumer service!!!
Food was really good. One of the better options at the Orlando Airport.
Quick service. Friendly people. Food was amazing
Awesome service always. Especially clarisely and Maria are the best
The service was great. They were super nice and the food is wayyy better then Panda express. The fried rice is twice as good and even the orange chicken is better.
The owner was amazing, great portion sizes, so affordable for the airport. 10/10!
Victor was so awesome! Great food.
Incredibly tasty! I had the orange chicken and black pepper chicken. Both were full of flavor and piping hot/fresh. I’m a Panda Express loyalist but actually found Chao to be a notch above in quality, quantity and flavor (especially their lo mein).
Excellent services from the girls, great food and customer service
Great service! And clean as well food was great
Yesterday I got to the Orlando airport after a 3 hour flight and a 4 hour delay, I was exhausted and hungry. First place I saw super clean and with a fast moving line was Asian Chao. I’m not a huge Asian food fanatic but I was hungry so I went to order, I was helped by a very sweet and polite lady named Suani. I was not sure what my options were when it came to ordering but she explained me how I could order my food and even gave me some suggestions based on her favorite items from the menu. I decided that I should try whatever she said was best and OMG I am so grateful I put my trust on her, I wish I could’ve taken some pictures of the food but I was so hungry that I completely forgot. The food was hot, delicious, well seasoned, fresh and delightful. Also need to mention that the cashier Ana look very happy to help me out it she was also very kind. Every fast food restaurant needs a Suani and an Ana they really gave me a joyful experience in the middle of my chaos and that really makes the difference. Shout out to the rest of the crew that was actively cleaning, stocking and making sure that the food was up to standard and available. I would definitely recommend this place and me personally I would go back next time i travel!!!!
Great service. Employees treated me nicely and served my food with care. Would recommend everyone to eat here. And the food is delicious!!!
Customer service is amazing here! I wish I got the names of the individuals working this evening (6:00 pm @ 12/11) they really deserve some recognition
I got fried rice chow men, Bourbon chicken and orange chicken for & $13.80 after tax, I was kinda surprised how good it was from some bad reviews. I guess I wen to 7pm dinner rush, and it was some line and probably that’s why food was fresh? Bourbon chicken taste awesome as well as orange chicken. Fried rice has flavor and chow men was also good. I liked it a lot and I’m Asian so I’m picky about it but my experience was positive. Probably avoid week day or not busy time so I assume food might not be fresh.
Wow! I really enjoyed their food and they were SO kind. Great service, no complaints!
Thank you to Momei and Victor at Asian Chao! Two pleasant faces on Christmas night after a long day of travel. Their smiles and pleasant demeanors are much appreciated. And the food is delicious! The Bourbon Chicken is really good. Fresh veggies, classic eggroll. Highly recommend this option in the food hall near gates 120s.
The food was amazing. Such an amazing place to grab some quick asian cuisine while you wait for your flight. I want to give a huge thank you to Maria for an amazing service. Would 100 percent recommend!!!
The airport Asian Chao (next to southwest) is the best restaurant in the airport. Clairey was the best. She was friendly and helped me choice the best food on the menu. Ill definitely be back to get another plate.

I need a quick dinner when I have a flight change at the Orlando International Airport with only 20 minutes before my next flight boarding. Asian Chao is one of the best choices there. They don’t have long line at the time. I got my dinner in five minutes. I ordered orange chicken and ribs with noodles. The food is yummy but a little too salty. The service is fast. I saw the shared dining area is clean and comfortable even though I don’t have time to enjoy my meal there.
Not fresh Asian food at 8am? Sure thing at Asian Chao! We enjoyed the low mein, orange chicken along with spring rolls. Hot and fresh. This meal really hit the spot, and we will eat here again. Highly recommend.
Got there 5 minutes before it opened. Waited until 8am. Worth it. Staff was just okay. Food was so hot, when I moved the box it left water steam marks. The chow mein was just okay, it was dry. But nothing was really greasy!! Orange chicken to die for. Spring rolls were not warm. Water cups taste like sulfur, get get an ice cup and use the free water dispensers by bathrooms. I like they had chopsticks available as well as other utensils and sauces. No napkins though, boo. Prices were good, considering other airport foods. About right.

Very sweet and great service all around!
The food was warm and tasted pretty good. Service was pretty quick and friendly. Not the best I've ever had but not near as bad as the other reviews made it out to be.
Always have a meal while waiting to board. So much more filling and fulfilling for the long journey ahead
I arrived at the airport coming from San Juan PR on March 2 around 2:00 pm. So we were looking around at the food court area in what they had. We decided to have the Chinese because it would’ve been the healthier option. When we ordered the combo, I had the half rice and noodles with beef and broccoli. I may want to point out that the food was good and as for the beef I ate it was genuine and it’s not like other fast food court beef you’ll find at the mall. One thing I may want to add which was a disappointment is that when we ordered the drink it came separate from the combo, in other places it may not be like that
Classic American-style Chinese. Everything is quite sweet and tangy. The stir-fried green beans were the best part. Avoid the white rice as it was way too hard, but the fried rice is okay. All in all, it’s edible and an acceptable option if you're looking for a quick bite at the airport.

Chicken bourbon and pork ribs are too sweet (than a birthday cake) please reduce sugar if possible
The food at Asian Chao is just okay. The beef was dry and overcooked, which made the meal less enjoyable. It’s an average experience overall, and there’s room for improvement, especially with the meat quality.
Ok so the service was nice. The bourbon chicken was amazing. It didn’t have too much sauce. The fried rice wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t spectacular. The freaking bourbon chicken tho. I could’ve kept eating it. Best freaking bourbon chicken I’ve ever had. GET THE FREAKING BOURBON CHICKEN. that’s the only thing I can say I recommend, but next time I’m in the airport that’ll be my first choice to eat.
Food was okay, not great or even that good. It was right during lunchtime and everything was only mildly warm. I didn’t want to take any leftovers with me. Also, they charge extra for beef and broccoli, and it’s mostly broccoli... Employees seemed grumpy.
Mariam was awesome with customer service—really friendly and helpful. The food itself just felt a little off in execution. The bourbon chicken was dry, the orange chicken wasn’t very crispy, the rice was dry, and the noodles leaned sweeter than I expected. The flavors were familiar, just didn’t quite come together this time.

Service took too long, food was warm (at room temperature) and there was only one person at the food station while the other person was at the register. Needs more people at the food station so they can get the line cut quickly.
The black pepper chicken was so tasteless I tossed most of it. Of course they wanted a tip to scoop the mush into my Styrofoam tray.
The employee's could have been a little nicer and polite. The food was very overcooked dry and barely hot. The taste of the food was good. The portions for the price and quality are horrible. A little overpriced. The only good thing I can say is the taste of the food.
Food had no flavor
Seriously. We own a business- we slacked during COVID because we had ZERO choice. They have one now. No excuse. They had zero veggies. Zero taste. Zero service. Not everyone wants to hear “we only have rice and noodles because we are closing”. Listed hours are 9pm (it was 6:52pm). They literally get the extra star for slightly extra service- because they offered some “extra” sauce. Southwest Airlines should demand better. What many people do not realize is the airlines have the ability to drive this. Demand better. $6.00 for chicken not a horrible deal. Hence 2 ⭐️
The fried rice tasted burnt! DRY! And I had a chunk of uncooked rice. The pork was okay, as well as the orange chicken. I would say this is over priced, crappy Chinese food.
Very old food, bourbon chicken tasted like sweet rubber and the lo mein like frozen P.F. Chang’s . Genuinely the worst asian food I’ve ever had with cold food and little to no options.
Go hungry at least then you won’t be throwing you money in the trash. Disgusting, old food hardly any seasoning. When we were asking about food ingredients the server just started adding food to the box. Cashier walked away while I was getting money out, Sever had to get her attention so we could even pay for the food.
This is another example of lower you in with a piece of their sweet meat when you’re hungry, and then the abortions are kind of small the food is overpriced that people are kind of rude behind the counter. It’s halfway through the food court is a little bit down past where they Mimic the same type of food I would avoid this altogether.
Got their food at 9 o'clock this morning one bite I could tell it was from yesterday the chicken was hard as a rock noodles were cold they should not have opened what a shame
I asked if the noodles are EGGs noodles and the girl said yes just so she can sell me their food even though it wasn’t!!! I don’t eat wheat made me throw it. Plus the food wasn’t good next time better go eat at McDonald’s next time them.

Customer service is awful! The “ladies” attending were very very very rude. They rush you, they don’t explain well, they don’t even smile to welcome you. Black Pepper chicken was dry. Company do need to invest time training the employees.
Worst fried rice I’ve ever had. Some of the rice was undercooked. The Brocoli beef was very overcooked to the point of being dry and chewy—and it cost 1.99 extra. The bourbon chicken was not bad. I would have returned it for a refund if I wasn’t in such a hurry.
Service was terrible. Employees cared more about their personal conversations than listening to customers orders. Had to interrupt their personal conversations to employee from putting wrong food in my container. Only comment from cashier was that I had a lot cash in my wallet. Then forgot to give me a bottle of water. Finally done with the counter and the food was all room temperature. Not one bite from two meals was hot. Very disappointing. Eat elsewhere.
I am at the Orlando Airport location. Admittedly, when I get off a plane my ears are so plugged I cannot hear well and as such my voice may be louder than usual. However, when I ordered at 6:30 pm, they had no fried rice and scrapped the bottom of the tray of lo Mein for my wife. I asked how long for fried rice and lo mein to be replenished because I said I would wait. Both counter people were unresponsive to my question so I repeated it. Even after me saying again I could not hear they softly said it would be 30min. I was shocked at the general restaurant mismanagement and unfortunately my tone reflected that. What really passed me off was that 5 minutes after I aquissed to plain white rice, paid, and sat and ate, fresh full trays of both fried rice and lo mein appeared meaning they blatantly lied to my face. The store manager is a poor reflection on the company unless this is who they are. Stay away as there are other choices in Orlando airport.
I ordered vegetable lo mein only (no meat). Upon sitting down to eat, I discovered it was cold and bland, but I was hungry, so I still attempted to eat it. After about 5 forkfuls, I had to stop, and hurried to the nearest restroom. I flew home light-headed, with fingers crossed that I wouldn't need to use the barf bag on the plane. Spare yourself. Do. Not. Eat. Here.
Even tho it was only an hour or so into normal lunch hrs (12:48pm), the food was only room-temp warm. Veg rice, black pepper chicken, & bourbon chicken tasted like it was more than a day old..food was not good at all. Should have read the previous reviews before trying this place.
Food presentation was good but missing flavor. Employees talked the whole time while serving people and pretty much was there to slap food on the tray and move the line. Maybe that’s why the food tasted the same as their service...bland.
My first time trying this place. Will also be my last time! I feel completely robbed of my money. Hands down the smallest portions I've ever received at this style Chinese Fast Food. Was given about five little chunks of orange chicken, that were drier than the Mojave Desert. The fried rice was horrible. I can honestly say I've never tasted fried rice that bad before. I did not even know that you can ruin fried rice. Chow mein was pretty standard, nothing to brag about. Definitely not worth going back for more. As far as the black pepper chicken goes... It had a good flavor and unfortunately the chicken was cooked to the point of being like pulled pork. I knew that I should have just told him I didn't want it once I saw the small portions they were putting inside. I and most likely I'm going to have to get another meal. I wish I could have given this place minus five stars! Save your time and money!
The service was good. The food sucked though. Fried rice was stale. Lo mein had no flavor. Just tasted like bread. The orange chicken and black pepper chicken were okay.
Rice is like eating fake food just yuck! Chicken will be taste like old and sat along time even in a rush and busy time. No one knows if food is made with white meat or not. Sad to say McDonald’s was better than this place but just get in line to Jersey Mike’s !!!!!
The worst place ever. I got a horrible case of food poisoning and was sick for 3 days Never willi ever eat here again
Lo mein was way too salty as well as the other entrees that I got. I had eaten barely a bite so I asked for a refund and they obliged. I put my card in the machine and everything for the refund, it's been 5 days and I still have not received my refund.
Had the lo Mein noodles with pepper steak. Terrible, old dried up noodles and bits of steak, mostly mushrooms and mushy pepper steak. Awful! Fountain Sprite was carbonated water, nobody thought to refill with soda.
i Highly recommend making sure food is fresh my chicken was spoiled had a horrible smell but i took my food to go and didnt know till later on after leaving and horrible smell !!
Food was fine. Ordered a two item with steamed/chow mein. Didn’t have steamed rice and asked if fried was ok. I said sure. The filled the large section with fried rice and a small section with chow mein. Proceeded to order my two items, and told the cashier I only ordered two. She nodded yes but proceeded to try to charge me for a side item anyway. I lightly protested and the employees (in unison) scolded me, saying that the chow mein was an item, against how things work for fast food Chinese literally everywhere else. I handed back the “extra item” and paid for the “two” items. 3-star food served via 1-star condescending idiocy.
I ordered rice, bourbon chicken and baked potatoes. Everything smelled and tasted EXPIRED. I don't recommend eating here. I threw my entire plate away. Waste of money...
What can I say about this place. Over 3 years they've had wonton soup on there menu. Do they have it NO! Have i asked for it every time I've been there yes. Does anyone who works there care NO!
Should be ashamed. Is the lo main noodles were not real lo main and was mushy...even the fresh batch they brought out. Price gouge by forcing you buy 2 item with the starch and not 1 item as a cheaper alternative if you don't want that much food. I fly here every 6-8 weeks for work...I will not be eating here again.
The food was old It tasted a day old The bourbon chicken was tough the spicy chicken was tough overcooked it was yucky The food was from previous day Leftover from the day before will not Good will not go back
I threw the whole plate in the trash after a few bites of cold undercooked rice, hard chicken and mushrooms and soggy orange chicken . 18.00 including a drink. What a waste of money and taste buds. First and last time there.
I genuinely can’t believe this. This food was actually abysmal. This was an insult to my tastebuds. How could you do this to me? The food had the taste and texture of room temperature play-doh. The shrimp had 0 taste and felt like they grabbed it off the floor. Absolutely unacceptable. Do better!!!!
They get one star for the okay orange chicken. Stick to what you know folks, the chipotle line next door is long for a good reason. This food was bad all around
This has to be the absolute worst Asian food I've ever bought. They didn't have all the food labeled. Pork ribs in black bean sauce nasty, lomein was dry and generic, bourbon chicken was chicken the server but sauce on. The orange chicken was dry and nasty.
Stopped for a quick bite with the husband. Both meals were horrible all six items were dried out, luke warm and dreadful for taste.
Even though there was no one in line, the staff was rushing me to choose, they were unfriendly, and the food tasted burnt with a bad taste. This is the worts Asian restaurant in my whole life.
