First time visiting this place. Very happy with the service. We ordered as an entree Pechuga al Maduro, which was delicious, and beef steak with bifongo. Was incredibly good I never tasted the bifongo before here en United States, the combination of sweet and green plantains was delicious. I'm going back!!
Chimi Spot is amazing! Hubby had El Chimi El Retro (burger) + Tostones. Wifey had the Arroz y Habichuela (rice and beans) + Trifongo. Both of us enjoyed a fresh juice, limonada + morir soñando. Yum yum yum. 5 stars. Pleasant staff and prompt service.
This place was great, the food was delicious the service was great. I speak very little Spanish and my wife doesn't speak any so I was worried when we walked in and were greeted in Spanish. Luckily I know enough to figure out the staff were asking if we wanted the food for To-go or dine in. Once I explained that I only know a little Spanish, the waitress very kindly said " ok I speak English" . Everything was as close to perfect as it could have been from there. Great food, great location, great prices. 10/10 would recommend.
This was our 1st time eating in and everything was delicious. Our waitress was Ariana, she was attentive and took good care of us. We had their slider for an appetizer & perfectly cooked churrasco & shrimp mofongo as our entree. We ordered on Uber before and had to come in and try at the restaurant. Will be back!
Authentic food, amazing service, and cultural atmosphere. This place give every local a taste of "el Patio." For those that have never been to Dominican Republic this location brings all the flavors of my native land. It definitely makes you feel like your back home . FYI they also offer Hooka in their outdoor seating. The mixed meat Yaro is gully's loaded with chicken, cheese, French fries, sweet plantain and sauces is filling, juicy, and delicious. The shrimp mini mofonguitos are a definite go to. The cream garlic alajillo is the my favorite. This is a must go when in the Orlando area.
Nice spot, first time visiting, food presentation great, not too big, not too small, flavors were perfect, food was hot as made to order, I which my mofongo had a side of chicken stock, or melted butter with garlic to not be dry, mind you it was not super dry, but I'm so used to very place where I have eaten mofongo to include a small portion of liquid for it, otherwise everything was great, would definetly come back!!!
My friend is from the Dominican and he suggested that I try some of his local food. This was the first time that I tried this type of food. He and I talked about what to get and you can see by the pictures they gave us more than we could eat. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant if you like Dominican food. I was full and happy. The staff there are great and helpful. He had the picadera and a chimi. The picadera was great and presentation was superb. I had the shrimp mofongo for the first time and enjoyed every bite. I also tried the picadera and it was great. You owe it to yourself to try this place out for some different style of food. You will not be disappointed or go away hungry.
i love the food all plates come out like the picture and it taste really good if you want dominican food this is the place the best place
Great little place with great food. We found it on Google. We were celebrating our granddaughters 6th birthday and they were nice enough to bring her the Tres leches cake and sang Happy Birthday to her! Loved it! The waitress Michele was so wonderful and had such a beautiful personality. Everyone, even the cooks were very nice. Everything was so clean. All the food was amazing! We'll be back!💯👌💕
The pollo guisado is the best in Orlando!!! The beef empanada best in Orlando!! Hvnt tried the others yet. Love this place, so far everything has great flavor and everything cooked as if it came homemeade!
The Chimi Spot is now the David spot because I love this place so much. I went for a quick dinner with my wife. The food was amazing! Reasonably priced for the portion size. Laura No Esta was our server and she was delightful and friendly. Her food recommendations were on point! I will be returning here often to try the whole menu!!
Great little spot! I ordered the Yaroa de res with a maduros base. Sooooo yummy 😋 4/12/24 This time I had the Yaroa with pernil and an order of fried yucca w/garlic. 🥰 10/16/24 The best Mofongo I've ever had!!! It's my new favorite 😁

The food was good. Not a long wait time and the service was great 👍
Pollo a la parrilla was delicious! And so was the salad. The mashed cassava was not my favorite- kinda oily and not a lot of flavor.
Me and my boyfriend came in for a good meal and we saw the chimi spot come up so we decided to give it a try. It was absolutely AMAZING, the hours differ than what it’s portrayed online so be aware it stays open LATER. Michelle was so kind and attentive, described new items on the menu and are a MUST try for our next visit.

This was our first stop when visiting Orlando, about 15 minutes from airport. Portions were huge and had the shrimp Mofongo that tasted amazing.

Im not sure what’s going on today but the 1st & 2nd time that I ate at Chimi “in-person” , the food was exceptional. Today, I ordered online and the rice was a “very very small portion, the tostones were not fully cooked nor crispy on the edge, and the Chicharrón seem hard and flavor was different.

Came here because of the reviews to be honest the food is amazing. Had a bit of a hard time ordering, but that's only downside to my visit today. Once the owner came out to assist everything was great .

Wasnt impressed no more, after coming back almost from a year ago, food was better last year ir 1st time trying it, today food was different and no flavor, didnt felt the real Dominican flavor as I did before!!!! Order an empanadilla and a Chimi Burger, no flavor and both dry, I asked for Ketchup and Mayo-Ketchup and still waiting, never got it, I remind the server two time and didnt get it….
I ordered the chicharrón de pollo con tostones. They gave me the chicken burned to such a point that it was completely inedible. I placed the order to go so I did not know until I got home.

The Chimi Spot — 3900 S. Goldenrod Road Closed on Feb. 20 Over 50 rodent droppings found on premises Rodent burrow or nesting materials present, indicated by chewed-through ceiling tiles above water heater Raw beef kept over raw shrimp in cook line cooler. Simply put..these people and this establishment doesn't actively care about those who walk through their door. Or about paying customers health and well being.
Avoid! This place used to be great but they are adding illegal charges. Make sure to get a receipt. Orange County sales tax is 6.5%. My receipt says 20%. This is highly illegal and needs to be addressed by management. And then to charge a 4% card fee and force an 18% service charge? Anticipate paying near double what the menu prices are when ordering. Disgusting levels of greed.
