For my second day in downtown Orlando for work, my coworkers chose this location. Everybody enjoyed their food. I chose to get the loaded fries with Carne Asada. The flavor was kind of bland for the first little bit. And then I started getting little bits of robust flavor towards the middle. I think they just didn’t toss all of the meat in the season together. But it was quite tasty. If you’re in downtown Orlando, it’s worth a try. Very friendly staff.
After not being able to get tickets for the Billie Eilish concert, we randomly found this place while walking around… and honestly, it turned out to be such a great surprise! - Francisca was amazing. Even when things got a bit busy, she never stopped checking on us to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything else. Super attentive, friendly, and made some really great drinks. She definitely made our night way better!
My server was Gabriel. I ordered the Birrian Ramen and he had it out immediately. He made sure everything was going okay and was extremely respectful! A beautiful, calming atmosphere. Would for sure come again!
My daughter and I visited Birria 1983 yesterday for the first time, while visiting Orlando. I’m from Chile and we were very excited to know there was a restaurant here that served Chilean food. We had empanadas de pino, one completo and mote con huesillo. We also placed an order of empanadas de pino, Barros Luco ( one of our many delicious Chilean sandwiches), mote con huesillo ( typical Chilean drink) and sopaipillas ( deep fried dough made of pumpkin). The food was delicious! The taste was on point! Paloma, the waitress who was also from Chile, was amazing and gave us excellent costumer service. We enjoyed our visit and we will definitely be coming back. ¡Viva Chile! 🇨🇱
Really cute spot with fun decor & art. Loved the food & drinks: we enjoyed different tacos, street corn, and fun drinks. Loved that they had alcohol free options. Great service too!
This was my friend and I’s first time here and Ruby was our server, she was amazing! She was attentive to our table and helped us decide what to get. Would love to come back soon ❤️
We love the place, the food is very tasty and varied, the attention is very personalized, I definitely recommend it!
I've been living in FL for about 4 years as a professional chef, and I can tell you with educated certainty that this is one of the best meals you will have here without a doubt. The margaritas were spectacular, the chips and salsa were perfect, but the birria chimmichanga stole the show. I would give this place a higher rating if I could.
Went to try this place because of the Chilean menu for my dad’s bday. (We’re from Chile) and we were not disappointed at all. We had a Pino Empanada and a queso Empanada. Both delicious especially the pino. Then we had the churrasco sandwiches and they were CRAZY GOOD! And they even have Chilean beer Kunstmann!!!:)) Our server Mercedes was awesome too, great personality and great service! Highly recommend especially to all those Chileans that don’t really have many options in central Florida. Will be back soon!! VIVA CHILE 🇨🇱🙏🏼 :)))
The food was extremely well prepared. It was delicious to the last bite. The Berea bowl was full of flavor and filling. The burrito tacos are as good as I’ve ever had. The tostanos were delicious. is a great spot to grab a bite before a concert at the Kia Center

I Had an amazing experience. Victoria was outstanding!!! Very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I tried the Birria Ramen, and it was absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and perfectly balanced. I also had the Asada Steak Taco, and the freshness of the corn tortilla really stood out. Every bite was packed with authentic, mouthwatering flavors. Highly recommend this spot, and I’ll definitely be back for more.
Colorful and friendly restaurant with great service! Our food was brought out fast and every Thing was delicious! From the fresh guacamole, carne asada bowl, carne asada fajitas and chicken chimichanga. The churros were the best dessert, filled with crema and we almost didn’t need to use the Nutella or dulce de leche. Highly recommend! We will be back.

Best Mexican spot in downtown Orlando!!! Our server Juan answered our questions in a rap song & gave us an excellent service!!! We ordered the Chilean sandwiches and the pastries are to die for. Highly recommend 😄

Stopped in for a margaritas right before closing. The service was top notch, the aromas were amazing. Wish I could have ate. Nonetheless, had a tasty margaritas made fresh to my liking. Will definitely be returning for them tacos. 😋
Absolutely, yes! For the last few weeks I’ve been wanting to try Birra ramen because why not?! I just ate this dish and I’m convinced I will be dreaming of it every day until I have it again. There was so much flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I did a take out order, the young man that helped me was quick, friendly and hospitable. The dish was so good. So good! The restaurant was colorful, fun and seemed like the perfect spot for some great food and great vibes.
I went to this place last night and i ordered to go. I got the chicken quesatacos. They were delicious, i really enjoy their corn masa. They order is 3 tacos for $17 but it was worth it. They had a lot of meat and comes with rice and beans. Their salsas are so good!! I’m definitely coming back to this place. Too bad their are far from me. The service was very attentive and polite.
Food was delicious, especially the recommended surf n turf fajitas! The staff were all amazing!
Super attentive waiters. They always checked on us making sure everything was ok! Definitely a cute spot to hang out.
Perfect !! If you’re in Orlando for a trip don’t hesitate to have a meal here the cooking and the restaurant’s atmosphere are soooo good
Knowledgeable server with great recommendations near a historic train station with wonderful food and drinks, what more do you want? Also, the women painting the winter decorations on the windows were lovely.
Such great service!! Ruby our server is amazing!! Lunch menu was very nice and portions were great! Free chips and salsa!!
Food and atmosphere was great, Andres our server did a great job! Will definitely be back.
Had a great time. Grateful for Yoki, our server. Delicious quesotacos.
Juan was our server he was professional and courteous. The food was delicious, will definitely be back.
Great food and nice people! Would enjoy coming back, and would recommend
Birria 1983 is a must-visit! The tacos are juicy and flavorful, with rich consommé that takes them to the next level. Great portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service make it the perfect spot for authentic birria lovers.
Really good Mexican spot in the heart of downtown Orlando! If you come ask for Andres he’s the best! Took very good care of us! Definitely would recommend trying this spot out.
Camilo was our Server and he was so kind and considerate and patient about our order. And the atmosphere is so nice and clean the food is good! Would love to come back again!
Quick dinner before an Orlando Magic game, found this little pearl close to the arena. Cosy interior, friendly staff, attentive waiter and above all - great food! Everything was fresh and home made, from the complimentary nachos and salsa starter to the excellent quesadillas I chose from the menu. My boyfriend had tacos, and he was also very satisfied. Will definitely be back next time we are up for some delicous mexican food. Thanks!
Tomas is amazing he not only made me feel like I was important but I also watched how he greeted and took care of other customers and we haven't even gotten to how amazing the food is Birria 1983 is definitely one of the best Taco places in Orlando and somewhere I'll be recommending to all my friends and family
Loved it the food is great and Luciano is such a professional and friendly server. He goes above and beyond. Food 10/10 would lick it off the floor.

Very Great food and a chill nice environment.. I really enjoyed myself.. Definitely a spot to try out.. Ask for Paloma 😎
Found this gem looking for pregame food downtown. Service was friendly, attentive and fast. Birria tacos were delicious. This is in the rotation!
Service was very quick and attentive. Gabriel was our server and provided great recommendations. Food and drinks were delicious! We got mojitos and the parilla, definitely recommend!
Francisca was awesome! Great service and very nice. Birria Tacos were SO GOOD!!!!! One of, if not the best ones I’ve had ever. Place was super chill too with a cool vibe inside. 10/10
First, a shout out to Ruby! She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun. The food (TikTok Wrap & Tacos) hit the spot with deep flavors and a pleasing balance of textures. Great place to come for a bite on your way to/from the Kia Center. Let’s get Church Street going again.

Luciano was an incredible server. food is delicious you can’t go wrong. arguably the best mexican food i’ve had in florida ever. they make all of their chair sour cream and guac in house. must try the birria tacos. i will be back for more.
Amazing waiter!! Came over and reminded us they didn’t have a liquor license yet (fine by us!) and offered us full menu. So many good offerings. Immediate salsa and chips. Kind and efficient service! We were between shows at SAK and this was the perfect stop. So happy we discovered this place! Thomas was an amazing waiter and we will be back specifically because of his service!
First time here and I have so many amazing things to say. Great atmosphere, great service from our server Mel and even better food. The chef at this place deserves recognition because all this food was absolutely amazing. Extremely authentic and flavorful. Best birria and carne asada. The cocktails were just as delicious!!! This place is definitely worth checking out. You will not be disappointed
Great artistic atmosphere. Our waiter was Paloma she was very nice, she recommended the “Tiktok wrap” and it was delicious. Highly recommend I will come back here
I cannot rave enough about our experience here. My fiancé and I decided, on a whim, to come here before a Solar Bears game. We sat at the bar and were served by Fran. Let me tell you, she made the BEST mojito and margarita for us. I got the Birria quesataco and my fiancé got the Birria chimichanga. Did NOT disappoint. Highly recommend!! We’ll be back for sure.
Mercedes was absolutely delightful and attentive. Would highly recommend her. Atmosphere was cute, service was quick, food was good. Heartbreak feels good in a place like this.
Andres was amazing the food was amazing , they even brought a bowl of water for my service animal and were very accommodating to us while we dined. We never felt like a second thought and the server was very attentive.
The food was amazing and the wait staff was even better! Everyone was so nice and friendly and very cheery even though they were about to close. The view sitting outside was just a plus to everything else. Would definitely come back here if visiting again!
Birria1983 is one of my favorite spots for taco Tuesdays - you get 3 delicious tacos plus chips and salsa for less than $10 - sweet deal. I know lots of other places have deals but this spot has flavor galore. The quesadilla is also a great choice if you want to try something off of the regular menu. Ask for Thomas!
Andres was great. Very accommodating and made us feel welcome. The food was great and so were the drinks. One of Orlando’s best since the food truck days.
Great food and service, came for the empanadas and they were amazing. Had Mercedes as our waitress and she was amazing as well! Would definitely recommend and come back again
Birria 1983 in downtown Orlando is a great spot. The place feels warm and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. The birria tacos are incredible crispy, cheesy, and perfect with the consommé. I also tried the birria ramen, and it was just as good. Everything feels fresh and full of flavor. The people working there really make the experience better. They’re kind, helpful, and make you feel at home. If you’re looking for a chill spot with delicious food downtown Orlando, Birria 1983 is worth a visit. Simple, good, and just right.
I love everything about Birria! The service by Andres and Ruby was outstanding. The hostess was so friendly and sweet. I loved the Birria ramen and their homemade desserts when available are like no other!! Definitely check out the Chilean menu.
🌮🤍 We absolutely loved our visit to Birria1983. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful—you can truly taste the quality. Mercedes was such a joy—kind, attentive, and so welcoming. She explained how their handmade, imported taco shells stay so fresh, and she graciously accommodated my request for extra mayo on the street corn.
Out of this world amazing. One of the best experiences in a restaurant Ive experienced in a very very long time. If your in Downtown Orlando make this one of your stops. Relaxing ambience music playing outside live and Latin music Inside. The service and food are above a 5star restaurant that I promise. Enjoy!!!
Amazing food and great service. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. Our server, Gabriel, was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. He made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!
Had a wonderful post Valentine's day dinner. Hubbie had 3 taco burgers and I had shrimp sandwich. We shared a torta amor for dessert. Food was tasty and fresh. Service by Camilo D was warm friendly very nice young man. Atmosphere was relaxing. Music playing but easy to conversate. Good job!
Francisca provided phenomenal customer service. She was very attentive with our need. All of our food was delivered at the same time plus freshly off the heat. Very friendly environment and lively. The drinks here are amazing! You have to stony by here if you are on the downtown area in Orlando. ❤️
Great artistic atmosphere. Our waiter was Paloma she was very nice, she recommended the “Tiktok wrap” and it was delicious. Highly recommend I will come back here

Walked in everyone was nice and the atmosphere was nice. Was a little chaotic as they didn't have our reservation for 6. It was ok as they were able to accommodate us right away. Our server was a little unorganized but he was very cheerful and definitely attentive to the table. As for the food it was good. The birria tacos were very flavorful and fork tender. My black beans and rice were cold but they got that heated for me. Everyone at the table was truly satisfied. The drinks were very yummy. I'd go back to try some of their other dishes.
We decided to stop for a bite to eat on our way back to the car after the Magic game. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and we were seated promptly. Within minutes, we received complimentary water and chips with salsa. We also added guacamole and grilled street corn as starters. The waiter helped me decide on the Birria taco combo without cheese, which included three tacos, rice, and beans. Unfortunately, the food was not as flavorful or tasty as I had hoped, given my experiences at similar restaurants. However, it was still palatable and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The waiter asked for feedback on our experience, and we offered a few suggestions regarding the items we ordered. I would consider giving it another try.

We stopped in after the Magic game for an appetizer and cocktails(however they don’t have their liquor license yet being a new establishment, couple weeks). The hostess was very friendly and efficient in quick seating. Our waitress, Karin was prompt w/ our waters and service. She was personable as well. We ordered the nachos added carne asada w/ an up charge of only $3, well worth it. The beef was tender, flavorful and delicious.
The Birria 1983 Mexican Bar and Grill downtown Orlando Church Street location was convenient for us to catch a bite of Mexican food after the Magic game. They were a bit busy but seemed to handle the crowd nicely. We were seated and served rather quickly. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable helping our German guests with the menu. Orlando has so much to offer and we will plan on visiting Birria 1983 when we return!
So we were trying this place for the first time. Got it ordered to the house and it came on time and it tastes okay however… If you’re getting avocado or sour cream or literally anything extra on the side, don’t bother. The portions for avocado, for example, are three tiny slivers for $2.50 and the churros are $6 for four pieces but they only gave us six tiny pieces. Other than that I thought the churros were great.
Food was excellent, very very good. Served salsa in a cute Terra Cotta Pot and tasted very fresh. Water was at the table in a glass bottle. Service had no real wow factor. The server took our order brought our food and checked us out. Nothing more, nothing less. The walk down the long dark hallway to the bathroom was kinda creepy. Beautiful decor in the main room, nice painted mural and a neon sign that was pretty cute.
The food was good. I’ve had better consume, but that doesn’t mean this one was bad. The only thing is that for the price and the tacos being food truck style, I would’ve wanted a shorter wait. I’ll come back, but I’ll have to make sure I factor in the wait time with my expectations for that day.
Ok fajitas, definitely nothing special. Barely any sour cream! Staff more focused on mopping the floor inside the bar area (I ate at the bar). Server unable to figure out how to turn on the TV’s…
After the magic game last night, we decided to grab a bite to eat at this place. They informed us before we sat down that they didn't have a liquor license, but our hunger made us overlook that detail. The restaurant had a charming photo op backdrop that caught our attention. I opted for the chicken tacos, but unfortunately, they overcooked the chicken. However, the saving grace of the meal was definitely the flavorful beans and rice.
Tried the birria tostones and birria burrito. The plantains with the tostones tasted a bit stale and very hard which I didn’t enjoy. I did like the birria meat and salsa which were flavorful. It’s an average Mexican place.
Food had no taste. Worst street corn i ever had and I like food trucks. Do not come here if you are looking for authentic tasting Mexican food. Way to pricey for tacos too. 3 taco meal over 20 dollars.

Birria very good. Margaritas not so much. I ordered two different kinds. Something is off. They taste weird.
This is my first time going back since they’ve opened up a dine in spot. When they served previously out the truck the food was 10x better. I ordered a barria bowl in the past and it used to have a white cream sauce on it? But no one knows what I am talking about… I got the same bowl this time and the barria is dry. Not the best tbh. Upset I spent $25 on it. I tried to eat some of it but It’s not appealing to the taste at all. Sadly won’t be returning.
Was seated for 30 minutes with being offered water! Asked for a waited twice and some poor kid eventually showed. Terrible service and on top of that the food was cold. Never coming back.
Where to even begin. Upon entering, we waited 15 minutes to get a table even though there were 5 open tables. Once we sat down, it was another 15 minutes until a server came over to us. We placed a drink order, which then took almost 20 minutes to get. We finally got to order our food. Since the time we placed our order, 2 other tables, a party of 6 and a party of 3 were sat in our area. Both tables received their food before we, a party of 3 did. Aggrivated, I asked our server why we were still waiting to receive our order. After it took him 12-15 to get back to me, the man informed me and my wife that our order had accidentally been deleted. I paid for our drinks and left. Do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid this place at all costs unless you have a few hours to wait and get annoyed. The staff we dealt with offered no apologies for the mishap and didn't seem to care either. This is an embarrassing example of an Orlando restaurant.
Terrible experience. Except for the wall paintings, there’s nothing nice about this place. The dinning area has dirty floors and is not well maintained. The bar stools are uncomfortable, and half of them don’t match with the others. The bar top was dirty and the menus were sticky. The area behind the bar is crowded with a large stack of dishwasher glass-racks, a big bulky-looking dishwasher, and a bunch of other large items. The bartender attended us with a bad attitude after we asked them to please wipe the counter in front of us. One of the servers accidentally spilled a bit of water on one of the customers and didn’t even have the courtesy to apologize. The entire staff looked totally disorganized. At the bar, we ordered one of their signature cocktails, but they couldn’t make it because they ran out of one of the main ingredients (prosecco… like what bar runs out of sparkling wine on a Saturday afternoon?!!). Since they specialize in Margaritas, we also ordered their “top shelf” margarita, which they served in a short rocks glass and without a rim! When we were ready to pay, the bartender asked us to just give him our credit card number so he could enter it in their pos system… we just laughed and asked him to bring us the itemized check with the pos, and we paid with Apple Pay to avoid what seemed like something strange. I won’t be back and I don’t recommend this place at all to anyone!
Salty salty saltyyyyyyy I’m Puerto Rican we usually find food bland. This place has the salt sizzling on my tongue bought a birria pizza and highly disappointed to spent $50 on 8 slices that are thin wasn’t prepped with cilantro and onion had to peel the pizza open to add The bottom was soggy by the time I got home. The sauce wasn’t on it at all so I didn’t mind dipping it and that was really good But the meat was gross. Finished my Saturday night eating uncrustables ! :( Go to food trucks for this plate won’t regret it there k promise !!!!!!
Waited almost 45 minutes for drinks. Almost an hour for food… every table around us was complaining and asking to talk to a manager. Food was mediocre. Not worth the prices at all. It was obvious tip was already included in the bill because the waiter didn’t come back once. Never coming back.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Don’t make the error of coming here just because it’s conveniently located, like I did. Instead, go support a business that cares about its customers. Our server messed up our original order and had us wait another 30-40 minutes for the entree order that he forgot to place. At first, we were very understanding, as mistakes happen to all of us. After we politely waited, we asked him for the status of our order and he responded with “If you want, I can just cancel it”. He didn’t care that we had waited 30-40 minutes due to his error, and a member of our party didn’t get to have his dinner with us. No apologies or empathy whatsoever. We asked for a manager, waited another 10-15 minutes, and a woman (who I thought was the manager) came out and apologized on his behalf. She offered us the final entree to go, free of charge, and we accepted and waited another 20 minutes. We thought her apology was kind and acceptable. She returns with the entree and tells us that management told her that she has to charge us half price for it.. for an entree that by this point, we waited over 90 minutes for. We expressed how disappointed we were, and she just gave us a dirty look and proceeded to clean our table.
If I could give his restaurant a lower score than a one star I would. We went there to grab a bite yesterday before a show at the event center at Kia Center. It was a sold out show you would think that nearby restaurants would be aware as far as what’s going on to prepare ahead of time and keep your restaurants fully staffed. You couldn’t even get a beer poured and this is per the waiter. He even told us he wasn’t sure how long it would take to get a beer poured. The food was not authentic at all. You might as well go to chipotle.
I'm not one to normally leave bad reviews but our server wasn't great we were a party of 6 and 5 of us where done eating by the time the last person got there food. His excuse was the meat was frozen and they wanted to make sure it was fully cooked before It was served they didn't really seem very apologetic didn't offer to do anything for the lack of waiting. We kept having to ask for refills and just basic things. Then we paid the checks and he didn't tell us there was gratuity and the price of the food wasn't worth the service and quality of food. Safe to say we won't come back.
