I live downtown and in all my 3 years of living in Orlando this is the best Chinese food I have had . I have been to many and this one has the best flavour . I am a professional chef so yes I approve .
Pulled in to try out for lunch today. They are #8 out of 100 and I can see why. The restaurant is very clean. The service was fast and courteous, and that is just the start. When I say the food is delicious, I am not exaggerating. I have had Chinese food from all over the country, and when I say that the dumplings are the best I have ever had, it's not a joke. Fresh, hot, crispy (I ordered fried not steamed) and totally delicious! The Mongolian Beef was excellent as well! Just the right amount of seasoning. This place may be small, but the food and service is mighty! Don't believe me?!? Stop in and try it yourself. You will not be disappointed.
I've been going here for almost 10 years and each time the experience is very positive. The food is delicious and fresh and they give you a good amount. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean. The $8 lunch special is a great deal for a cheap but good lunch. I only wish that they would bring back the lunch buffet - that was a great deal.
One of the best Chinese food places I've ever ordered from. The lunch specials are surprisingly generous, I think they put even more food in them than the dinner combos. They have always been very accommodating and accurate with small special requests. Delivery is always fast. But the dumplings. Oh man, those dumplings. Less than 5 bucks and they're SO FAT and saucy and meaty. I wouldn't even care if the excellent customer service and food were worse, because THOSE DUMPLINGS. I would put them in the top 3 best Chinese food I've had in Orlando, and I've been here 34 years. Just consistently fantastic.
No frills type of restaurant. Went in for the lunch specials and for the price you pay you get a lot of food and it was delicious. Reminds me of back home in NY. Definitely will be returning.
This place was incredibly clean and fresh. I’ve been to a ton of Chinese takeout places in the past but this one had really great service, incredible selection and a very affordable lunch special. My boyfriend is vegan and they additionally had crispy tofu in sesame sauce or general tso sauce varieties and made his friend rice vegan at no charge, which I’d never seen a Chinese place do before. Would 100% recommend this for takeout especially if you’re downtown. I didn’t experience any of what some of the negative reviews on here claim. Order you won’t be disappointed!
I moved to Orlando last February from the NJ/NY area. The search for really good Chinese food and pizza was endless until I found this place. Hands down, truly the best Chinese food I've had in the area!
Someone said this place reminded them of takeout in NYC, they were right💯 Really good and the portions is worth the money. We will be back
It's a good Chinese place in a great location for Downtown Campus students! Lunch prices are great, its made and served fast enough for a biker on a 45 minute break, and they have plenty of options! It's a better value than some Chinese places close to UCF main campus, which is shocking to me. Otherwise, its your typical Chinese take-out fare. I personally like their curry!
I love this place. Been living in Orlando for 2 years and they are my favorite Chinese delivery by far. My food comes piping hot and fresh. The staff is also super friendly! I am moving cities soon, so I will not be able to continue to come back. But I highly recommend.
Had a takeout order for sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. Everything was very good and a great amount of food for less than $25.
The lun h special is fire if you are on a budget, the food is really good!
No exaggeration I order here at least 2/3 times a week. I order religiously (*General Tso Tofu, extra spicy w/ fried rice*) either the lunch special (7.50 includes drink) or the combo for dinner ($10 includes eggroll). They never disappoint. I whole heartedly believe this is the best Chinese food downtown. It’s always fresh and the workers are always nice. I haven’t had their meat options as I’m a pescatarian but Tofu *and especially spicy* lovers please try the General Tso.
Lived near Downtown Orlando for over 10 years. Never tried this place. That was my loss. Great tasting, big portions, and incredibly reasonably priced (Egg Foo Young, Beef Chop Suey, and Moo Goo Gai Pan). Fast delivery with their own employee - which means no jacked-up prices like the major food-delivery apps do. 3 bucks to deliver - arrived in 35 minutes (ordered at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Simple as that.
I order from here often, I am a vegetarian that does not eat eggs and this place is perfect. The food is really really good and the people are respectful. They make the food very quick, if you want a no fuss, simple good tasting Chinese experience. This is the place to go.
One of the BEST local Chinese food I've ever gone to! Prices are still fair & the flavor is REALLY GOOD!! Quick service. Good customer service. Very yummy food! Thank you for being in business ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This an amazing experience. The food is amazing and the service is great and the place is very clean. I tried their chicken specialty, fried rice and egg rolls and everything was amazing. I travel a lot and visited several Chinese restaurants in USA and so far they are on the top, even above food chains and classy Chinese restaurants. If you are in Downtown Orlando you must have to eat there. 10/10.
The food was good and the young boy who took our order was very friendly. We order chicken wings and fries, Generals Tso’s chicken, shrimp in lobster sauce, beef and broccoli and shrimp egg rolls. The young guy told us 10 minutes but we waited about 30 minutes for our takeout order. Once we got the food it was really good and fresh. It’s far from my home, but if I’m in the area I would definitely go here again.
First of all the lunch special pricing and portions are fantastic. The fried rice is light and fluffy and pairs well with the entree you get. I have had the beef lol mein and the Mongolian beef (pictured) both of these were just what the doctor ordered. I could care less for the ambience but the food is top notch. I will say the fried wonton in the garlic sauce was the real winner here. The wontons are homemade and the garlic sauce isa little spicy and a little garlicky and just all around awesome. The parking is not the best but I take late lunch around 1:15 so it's a little bit more reasonable. 10/10 would recommend
Absolutely loved! Lunch special you pay $8 and you get rice and three sides. Food tasted delicious and looked freshly made, location was clean, and service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be stopping in again soon.
Really tasty!! Wonton soup, fried wontons and general tso chicken combo... the chicken was cooked perfectly and had great spice and crunch! Delivery guy was so nice! Great experience! Thank you!!
The food is superb and at a very good price. If you love new York style Chinese food and have been desperately searching for it, you will find it here. The staff is kind and friendly, and the humble little shop is visually appealing
Chicken garlic sauce with hot and sour soup! Lady is sweet food is faaaaantastic Don’t forget to tip!
12/28/24 I have been going to this Restarunt for about maybe a year or 2 years so far. A Great wrestling friend of mine told me about this Restaurant and i decided to go with him to take a gander at this Chinese Restaurant. New York Style Cusine is the best in my book so far. The Prices are great and affordable that i can manage to purchase 2 lunch specials under $15 - 16 with taxes Included. You can also get a option of Soda and IF you want bottle water you ask IF you don't want the soda. Lunch Special Prices are around $7 - $8 a most, and Portion is in Rectangle plates which means more food :D. I order most times Chicken n Brocolli with White Rice and Boneless Spare Rib Tips with White Rice Lunch Special. I haven't order the Chicken Wings before... however my friend did and they are HUGE!!! Lots of rice and Huge Wings = HUGE Bonus!!! This store is amazing and serve the best Chinese Food in Downtown Orlando!!! Rating: 100000000000000 Star Rating!!!!!!!!!!

Food was hot fresh and quick!! Definitely worth the money and your taste buds 😋
Pull up on my E bike out front, had a couple friends standing out there. A few of them asked for some money. Went inside look to be a one-man army. The cook was taking an order while I came up to the counter to pick up my food. I got some sweet-and-sour chicken. I asked if they added egg to the rice I requested egg in the pork fried rice the sweet-and-sour chicken and rice was amazing but the eggroll was a little bit disappointing not so much on the exterior but more on the interior. I highly recommend this place. The food was very hot and fresh sweet-and-sour was nice and crispy even after being in the container, definitely hitting it up again. I couldn’t stop eating the rice.
I love coming here to unwind and enjoy Chinese cuisine. Staff are fun and friendly. Great family place to dine or take out.
Iconic little food spot in downtown orlando. As someone who lives DT this really is a great place for good chinese food.

Ordered shrimp egg fu yung and not only was it delicious, it came with rice and a generous portion of gravy; both of which really make the dish complete. No extra charge, as I'm accustomed to paying, and ready on time. Plus the guy that took and handed me my order was super nice -AND- the price is super reasonable! Wow! 2 thumbs up!
I love this place, it's convenient to my job on those days I forget to bring my lunch. The employees aren't super polite but they're not rude either...I've never had an issue with them. The typically deliver the order before the estimated delivery time has lapsed and the driver is always polite. They definitely have heavy accents, but I've never ordered from a Chinese place where the employees didn't have an accent. It's not difficult to understand them :) definitely my go to for delivery when I'm in a jam.
Wonton soup great! Pork, fried rice, awesome and chicken with broccoli delicious!
I ordered large egg drop soup, which which is delicious two egg rolls shrimp rolls which were really really good beef and broccoli which broccoli was good but beef was horrible with fried rice, which was OK. I definitely think they should remodel the place. The people working here are really nice
Most of the food was delicious but they shouldn't have served this shrimp toast so 3 stars for me. Hopefully have a better experience next time.
It's a little spot downtown Orlando, I bought the general Taos chicken combo the egg roll was awesome. The service left a little to be desired while taking my order they stopped twice to answer the phone and take their order. The other thing was they didn't give me a wait time but they gave other customers. All in all its averaged out to be a 2.5 star.

Only came here for the shrimp toast. It had a freest flavor but they were burnt to a crisp. Couldn’t even finish them all. Huge portions of everything else like the egg foo young with great flavor.
I ordered gizzards and fries which are on the specialty portion of the menu...when order came, no gizzards. I called and was told they didn't have them. Why wasn't I told when I ordered?? I'm stuck with a 5$ order of fries. We order all the time but this time, not happy!!!!
Decent Chinese spot with fair prices. However, I was a bit taken aback when I went to place an order (around 12:40 PM) and was told they are not offering ANY "lunch specials" for a non-disclosed reason. Moreover, they neglected to even tell me this when I ordered. I was asked if I wanted a pork roll or egg roll, and I said "I didn't know either came with the lunch special." It was only then that I was told they are not offering lunch specials. It's one thing to not offer them, but to not tell someone that and then charge their card more than expected is absurd. HIGHLY disappointed with Empire.
Service is okay but when I visited they forgot a combo I ordered but had rectified the issue with haste although unfortunately the food was not very good at all and it takes a lot for me to write a review but after visiting my preferred place at the end of enjoying my meal I just felt obligated at the point due to the immense jump in quality. 2 individual orders of general tso from Empire Szechuan and both were of same poor quality, Chicken was rough as though it were old and fried rice had absolutely no flavor or color to it as though it were old too. Within one of the egg rolls included with every combo was what’s expected in a pork egg roll but in mine the food had black specs on it not like it’s molded or anything but instead burn specs almost as if the food was slightly burnt and was not scrapped and instead still used. I wanted to give them a chance and there is potential but they need better quality control

Warning warning stay away !!! Don't waste your money. The first time I tried this place my food was undercooked second time that I tried it, it was burnt I gave them one last try and the food was worse than it was the first two times never again. These people definitely do not know how to cook I'm sorry but if I'm paying for food I'll be damned if I want it burnt or undercooked. Maybe it mishap the first time second time maybe but the third time no excuse this place should not be in business and the food tastes like it was old. I'm going to find another Chinese place.
Overpriced and undercooked.. Found small blue rubberbands in my food, waste of money because I couldn't eat it
Food was ladened in grease and inedible. We called the store to complain, but they argued with us. Ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce. It came in a soup container and it was filled with liquid with six shrimp. It was more of a soup than an entrée. This is my go to at any Chinese restaurant and I have never seen it served in this manner. We ordered crab Rangoon and fried wontons, and it was apparent that the oil had not been changed and probably over a week. Our recommendation is to stay clear of this place.
Gave me the wrong. The phone number on the receipt wasn’t even mine. Then when I called and explain I can’t make it back till 9pm as I was on my lunch break at 2. They kept insisting I bring the meal back instead of focusing on resolving the error. I never order pork fried rice n don’t eat pork at all so it was insulting they were more focused on ensuring a customer didn’t get free rice because of their incompetence error. When I don’t even pork. And I don’t order their rice as it’s made with too much water. Very insulting being that I go there numerous times a week n have never order pork or even had an issue so to be more focused on Pennie’s than to correcting ur error is comical won’t be back plenty of other places to eat downtown that won’t mess up ur Oder and then add insult to it
The staff here are so rude!!!! All they do is talk over you!! And when you ask about delivery they say it’s a minimum of 15$ okay that’s fine then proceed to tell me YOU HAVE TO TIP - so rude! I would too of course but not after you telling me I have to!!! Then the delivery man shows up with the wrong order I just ordered the same thing 2 days ago and I asked if he could please bring me the correct order and he said NO and walked away so fast! Then I called and spoke with the woman that always answers the phone and she wouldn’t let me talk, just kept talking over me and kept telling me that’s the price for that portion when I literally ordered the same thing 2 days ago and it was a larger portion. Also the other day I picked up my food and I get home and I had pork rolls instead of shrimp rolls I ordered, they were kind enough to bring me the right shrimp rolls but then asked me for the pork rolls back!!! Omg what?! Your going to sell these to someone else or something? I found that so weird and gross. I hope they didn’t. These people are greedy, money hungry and rude! I would never recommend this place to anyone! Poor service and food isn’t even that good!
My order tonight took over a hour and the old lady that does delivery stands in the road instead of coming to the door .She is not the regular driver And won't be ordering there no more.
Always pay using your credit card or debit card and GET A RECEIPT because when a business does NOT give you what you PAID FOR simply call the credit card company or your bank they will reverse charges and investigate the problem, this service is available to everyone ! If you pay for something that is NOT EDIBLE OR THE WRONG ORDER that is on them ! It is NOT okay for them to steal from you that is criminal ! You do NOT have to have a conversation with them and allow them to talk disrespectful or over you ! Your credit card company or bank will NOT allow them to talk like that to them either and the credit card company and your bank is in control not this pathetic business ! This business is under the illusion they are in control obviously they are NOT ! People that behave poorly to others are not happy in their life financially or personally. At very least we should be kind & respectful to each other NO EXCEPTIONS ! But there is a wonderful thing called KARMA and YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
