Great guys, great food. We ordered some some jerk chicken and his ox tail sauce made waves. Very personable and kind. Will be back as soon as possible. Highly recommended
If you are checking out a show at Level 13 and feel your stomach growlin’ at you for not eating all day before the big show, then stop here!! I had such a good experience at this cute little food truck. I got the fish fry special! I said see you later vegetarian ways I’m eating deep fried fish from a food truck in Orlando! WOW! The tilapia was incredible! The batter was seasoned perfectly! A nice blend of flavors. It also came with these things called “festivals” it’s like a deep fried dough. Incredible!! Also, side note, the head chef has a secret spicy sauce. Ask him about it!!! Definitely worth a stop. Super happy to have made it. Shout out to the wonderful people in the truck making magic happen. They also cater events if you are looking!!
The food here is AMAZING... Authentic Jamaican cuisine & fast service. The owners are extremely pleasant and customer service is great. Went two days in a row lol. I had the curry chicken and cabbage one day (forgive the picture quality; it was a snapshot from a video) and oxtail/mac & cheese the next. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. The cheese patties are also really good. If you're looking for great food and fast, pleasant service then stop by Island Kitchen & Grill. They will not disappoint!! 🍴😋🇯🇲🔥
Large portions great food! Nice owner! Update: this my second time in two days! Got fried chicken and asked Chef Moma to sauce them up! Man this place really shines! I’m putting on everyone in Orlando on this place!
Ordered fried chicken and rice and peas it was pretty good. Probably the best I've had from a food truck setting. I would order her again.
We ordered the curry and the jerk chicken with white rice and mac and cheese. It came out really good. Definitely would recommend stopping here

Very tasty jerk chicken! Peas and rice cooked perfectly! I don’t like light skin plantain (you know what I mean) and theirs is cooked perfectly once again. First time I’ve ever seen corn and carrots in stew cabbage. My parents never added them but I’m not complaining. I foresee left overs just sonI can drag on the flavor on a hungry stomach.

I buy a Philly cheese steak sandwich, it was the best sandwich I ever tasted, and the customer service was great. My husband love food he tried everything, curry chicken, jerk chicken, fried fish. I recommend this Jamaican food truck to anyone who wants some good Jamaican food.

Food was good, I visited last week! Ordered for a few people...hot wings, fried shrimp & fries, oxtails, side of Mac & cheese, rice & peas (which were really good!) I ordered a beef patty but they forgot to put it in there! Lol my mouth was watering for it. But, besides that, the food was good and they have reasonable prices. I’d visit again!

I just ordered from DoorDash. The portion was good… but the chicken was so dry I couldn’t even eat any of it. Also the cabbage was really mushy like it was overcooked. Best thing was the rice with the oxtail gravy…
Not so good, maybe I didn't order the right thing, but the fried whole fish was so petrified from being so overcooked, I wasn't able to get any meat off of it. The mac and cheese had this off flavor to it, maybe they're using smoked cheese? Not sure. And the steamed cabbage was very mushy as a previous reviewer stated. Not fresh, not for me.
I was really hoping this place would become my new favorite Jamaican food stop. The chicken was as tough and dry as beef jerky, and had a bit of an off taste. The cabbage was just mushy. If I had to guess, I'd say it was made several days ago and reheated and refrigerated several times. Food might have been great when it was fresh, but it was not.

A Deeply Disappointing Experience at Island Kitchen & Grill I truly wanted to enjoy Island Kitchen & Grill—especially given how seamless and convenient the ordering process was. I had every intention of becoming a repeat customer. Sadly, what I received fell drastically short of expectations and left me with serious concerns about the kitchen’s standards and overall food quality. To begin with, I waited over an hour for my order to be prepared, only to receive food that I ultimately couldn’t even eat. The rice was significantly undercooked—far too firm and dry to be palatable. It lacked both flavor and texture, making it difficult to enjoy even as a base. I had paid an additional $4.00 for a large plate, which was supposed to include a third side item: a festival. Unfortunately, that item was never provided, and no explanation or acknowledgment was given at the time of pickup. I had specifically requested oxtail gravy to be served over the entire meal, as this was clearly presented as an option during the ordering process. However, what I received was a disappointingly sparse drizzle—so minimal it seemed almost deliberate. It felt as though the kitchen was rationing it with extreme reluctance, which severely diminished the richness and cohesion of the dish. The steamed cabbage, which should have added a fresh and comforting contrast, was borderline inedible. Its taste was so off-putting that I genuinely questioned whether it had spoiled—it emitted a bitterness and odor that rendered it entirely unappetizing. As for the fried chicken, it was perhaps the most concerning aspect of the meal. It had a stale flavor, almost as if it had been previously cooked, left to sit, and then hastily re-fried upon ordering. Yet despite this, it still arrived undercooked—a perplexing and frankly alarming oversight. Undercooked poultry is not only unpleasant but a serious health risk. I generally make it a point to support local establishments, especially those offering culturally inspired cuisine. However, this experience left me not just disappointed but genuinely uneasy. After waiting over an hour, to not even be able to eat the meal was incredibly frustrating. There’s a clear need for improvement in food preparation, quality control, and customer value. Until then, I simply cannot recommend this establishment.
Worse Jamaican food I’ve ever had in my LIFE! Plantain was burnt. Jerk chicken had mustard drizzled over it. Cabbage was unidentifiable and rice was crunchy and not fully cooked. If I could give zero stars I would
I paid 20 dollars for five oxtails, y’all gave me more mac&cheese then oxtails. Wasted my money, money don’t grow on trees to be wasting. The MAC & cheese is nasty and looked old, y’all should be ashamed of y’all self for serving this trash………….she did not tell me it was going to be small why would i waste my money for five oxtails
Slow took 30mins for my order took longer than what was said food did not look appealing

Today was the first time I ordered from this location. I ordered the oxtails, and was NOT impressed at all, they looked burned and tasted as if they were leftovers from the day before, and there were exactly 5 pieces all of which were very small pieces with barely any meat on them. I would NOT recommend this place or even go back, almost feel like I cheated on my usual spot for no reason... Never again.
This is the worst jamaican food I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t even bother to waste your time coming here. I got oxtail with rice and peas, and a side of cabbage. After waiting 1.5 hours for my food I thought it was going to be very good. They must’ve paid people to put decent reviews on here. I ordered a large meal only to be largely disappointed. The cabbage was mushy as hell and inedible. The oxtail tasted like something that wasn’t fresh although it was claimed to be just made. The rice was mushy and undercooked at the same time, where they do that at? Anyways Chile, moral of the story… don’t bother. Best part of the meal was my soda.
TRASH AVOID AT ALL COST....I tried to support this business. I ordered jerk chicken I got no chicken and no peas in the rice. The food was OLD NOT FRESH. VERY DISAPPOINTING THEY GIVE ME SCRAPS.
