We visited for the first time in July 2025. The pickle dip was great. The beef wick was great. The bblt was great. The Cuban was very good. Staff deemed very friendly to us.
Cute place right across of Lake Ivanhoe. Sandwiches were nice. A few other options too. Nice selection of beers. Waffle fries were crispy and fresh. GREAT service! Have a small patio in the front facing the lake and dog friendly. Will be back!
Swung in looking for a local sandwich shop. Nice setup and venue. Had alot of tv's on for college football which was great. Sat at the bar, bar tender was very personable and attentive. Ordered a few drinks and 2 sandwiches from the menu. The Cuban and brisket cheesesteak. Both were really good, only flaw for me was that the brisket could have used some sort of sauce. It was a bit dry. Overall great place.
Stumbled across this spot while working in area. Very unique interesting venue. Dined alone and was forgotten but after apology went smoothly. Watermelon Nachos were amazing along with the brisket cheese steak melt. Bar set up and how loud it was can lead to people being missed.
Great place to eat with a lot of variety! Very friendly staff and cute atmosphere.
What a View!! Good vibe, drinks and food! Loved the Chicken confit club!!
We had a great time, stopped to get lunch and had the Bulgogi sandwich and Caesar salad. Both was so delicious and the sandwich was the best thing ever. I love the sourdough that they use and kimchi fits so well inside, the fries were so crispy and yummyyy. Alex took care of us and he was great!!
Incredible food. The rating shows that, but I really can’t say enough about the sandwich I had… top five all time- some roast beef and kimchi thing. In freaking credible. Pretzel was bangin- 10/10
Great spot for lunch. They have clearly labeled vegan options and several ones that can be modified as well. They have vegan chicken available for the sandwiches or salad. I had Biggie’s Bomb-Mi made vegan and it was so good and incredibly messy in all the right ways. Staff was super friendly. We will be back!

Very cute place. The food was a little different, which is what we were looking for. The dishes were a little on the pricey side. The main food did not come with a side. The sides are extra. Great service. Very clean and very friendly. Fast service as well. We got the pretzels for an appetizer, tacos, and chicken sandwich. I was pretty hungry and forgot to get photos of the food. Highly recommend.
First time visitor. We were greeted immediately. All the staff were really cool and made sure we were good. The atmosphere and food were great. I loved the waffle fries! I decided to get a BLT but with cheddar. The pickles are amazing. I really enjoyed everything and highly recommend to check out this spot. Great view, service, food, and overall service. I think it's cool everyone helps everyone so you don't have to feel awkward grabbing someone to get you something.
Omg! First they had a seasonal cheery Cranberry Cider that just seemed right before we went to see holiday lights. I ordered the Cuban. Yum yum yum. The bread was amazing, the amount of meat was just right. Everything about it was great. My friend got the Coysin Sammi which he adored as well. Just the right amount of dressing on it so it wasn't soggy. We'll be back.
Great for a quick bite or hanging out for some beers. The service was fantastic. Food was even better than expected. I had a My Cousin Sammy and my partner had the Beefwrecked sub, both were delicious and unique. They have some great selections for beers on tap (and canned or bottled). For atmosphere, they played early 2000s rock which I simply loved. Would give more stars if I could, will definitely be back!
I was on a work trip to Orlando and I stopped by here with a good friend of mine. Fantastic people and a wonderful spot for a beer and some great food. Miss Julie is a fantastic person and employee a true warm soul! We will be back we loved the place!
This place is great! I pass it every week when I run and finally found time to stop by for lunch. All the food was insanely good. Everything fried felt super light and wasn’t drenched in grease. I really liked the bar fries it’s hard to find fries with toppings that don’t get soggy and these held up fantastic! They had a holiday shot with rumchata and fire ball that was killer we had a bunch. Sandwiches and tacos were also insanely good not greasy it’s bar food that you don’t feel like crap after eating. Also props for keeping a super clean environment with great energy. As far as pricing goes me and my wife got 5 drinks 2 apps 2 entrees and 5 shots for like $140 this place is such a great value for the area I definitely will be coming here a lot more regularly. Thank you Gnarly Barley
Good was incredible. Service was the best. We ordered and mentioned sharing sandwiches and when the food came each person had their own 1/2. When I mentioned how great that was, the manager said that they will actually mix and match if you order different things. Incredible guest service when normally that would be considered an imposition. Beer selection also awesome!
I've really enjoyed every sandwich I've tried here, all delicious, been many times. Last had the chicken philly which was delicious. Pricing always feels super fair which is a great bonus these days. Love being able to see the magic on TV here too without such a noisy environment either compared to other places. Going to keep coming back!

Great food! Had the burgers. Better than any of the chains out there. Flavorful. Great atmosphere. Able to eat out at the bar over looking the lake. Julie and staff did a great job staying attentive to our needs. We will be back again at this awesome neighborhood spot.
Gnarly Barley --- ✅ Highlights - Great selection of craft beers, including local and seasonal brews. - Vibrant, laid-back atmosphere perfect for casual hangouts. - Friendly, knowledgeable staff who make good recommendations. - Good bar snacks and occasional food trucks onsite. --- 👎 Considerations - Can get crowded during weekends and events. - Limited seating at times. --- 🎯 Overall Gnarly Barley is a solid choice for beer lovers looking for a relaxed spot with a great tap list and friendly vibe. Ideal for casual drinks with friends. Rating: 4 / 5

During my busy travels, I have a little ritual: I like to find a local bar and indulge in their cheeseburger and fries. Recently, I stumbled upon Gnarly Barley, a charming spot known for its impressive sandwiches, but my main focus was the burger. Let me tell you, this burger is a delight--it's messy, which I love! I'm a big fan of pickles, so I always ask for extra on my burger, adding an extra layer of flavor. The weather was perfect that day, so I decided to sit outside at the bar, enjoying the view of the street. The atmosphere was lively, with multiple TV screens showcasing Orlando's teams, making it a great spot for sports fans. Overall, I'd say Gnarly Barley has nailed the classic burger experience, and I can't wait to return!

The menu looked absolutely amazing. The cubano sandwich was excellent, the jalapeños were a great touch, however it was a little light on fillings. The cheese sandwich and roast beef with mac n cheese sandwich got good feedback, though I didn't try it. The buffalo chicken dip was a big miss for me. I love buffalo chicken dip when done right. This came out refrigerator cold, intentionally, which I thought was an odd choice. Also, there was near zero buffalo sauce flavor. Cold chicken on a tortilla chip was not the buffalo flavor explosion I was hoping for. A proper buffalo dip and fatter sandwich would be an easy 5 star. Service was excellent, the staff is especially friendly. I would recommend this place and would return to try more of the menu.
I want to give this place 5 stars because I really do like it. The service is great, the beer list is amazing and they have a great happy hour. The food sounds amazing but it always falls a bit short. I got the bulgogi melt once and it was far too salty and just generally the flavors didn't really mesh and this last time, thinking to stick to something simpler, opted for the chicken sammi. The breading was admirable, but due to the cut or the position when it was fried it was in a strange arch nearly a semicircle and left a large gap in the sandwich. The flavor wasn't quite there: the seasoning on the breading was light and the sauce had just a few dots on the top. The pickles, though seemingly made in house, were more just a texture and lacked any strong flavor. The pickle spear served on the side made up for it but the overall effect was just a slightly more greasy (mostly because of the thigh meat) version of a standard chicken sandwich. My wife got a caesar salad and the odd choice had been made to have three massive croutons with the seasoning added to the middle of each which had the effect of making them soggy and, because they weren't bite sized, forcing the customer to cut each up into smaller quarters. Nothing has been truly bad, but the somewhat bizzare execution of the dishes keep fumbling, what is otherwise, a great concept. Hopefully, the next time I go I can add that last star.
Tasty food, great beer selection, and friendly staff. If you're a craft beer fan and appreciate food being prepared we'll above typical, give this place a try. Brisket tacos and Bulgogi beef sandwich are both great options.

Fun atmosphere. Interesting that they don’t have one server per table but instead they all serve everyone. Seems like a nice idea in theory but then also easy for tables to fall through the cracks and not get checked on at all as in our case. Food was average at best and the drinks were ridiculously strong. Probably good if you just want to get drink and hang out and then the subpar food wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But we weren’t impressed and won’t be back.
ambiance - great \nService - good\nFood - is it even Greek? It's bland and boring. The meat was roughly chopped instead of thinly sliced, the sauce was watered down, the pita was stale, and the fri…
While the food and restaurant aesthetic are nice, the service felt non-attentive and a bit off-putting. The food itself was okay but the chicken was cut very thick.
The saganaki and hummus were good but the lamb was tough and overcooked. Great service but the food was really only average

Had a similar experience to others here. When I walked in, there was no host and no signage explaining whether to seat yourself. After looking around for a moment, I just chose a table. For about five minutes, I watched a worker serving customers at the bar while no one acknowledged I was there. Eventually, another employee came behind the bar, noticed I was waiting, and finally approached me. To their credit, once I was acknowledged, the order was taken quickly and the food came out fast. The fries were the highlight of the meal, they were great. Unfortunately, the brisket sandwich was the opposite. It was dry, the cheese was nearly dried out, and there were noticeable chunks of fat throughout the sandwich. For the price, about $15 for the sandwich, plus $4 for fries and $3 for a drink , it didn’t feel worth it. Everything is à la carte, so the cost adds up quickly. I’m not here to tear down a business, but based on this visit, the brisket sandwich just missed the mark for me.

Ordered DD to Advent Hospital on the same street (Princeton Ave). “Food” arrived, if you can call it that, cold and missing everything. Grilled cheese sandwich was ice cold and chewy. No chips. Cold fries. My beef sandwich HAD NO BEEF ON IT, NO HORSERADISH SAUCE, NO AU JUS DIPPING SAUCE. NO CHIPS. All that for only $45! How on earth do you send out a beef sandwich with zero beef. Will NEVER order again. I recommend you don’t either. Reply: After a very long day at the hospital and a second surgery in 10 days for my GF we were excited to order some good looking food from your business. We had to eat and I had to find something else so I didn't bother calling the restaurant to try and correct it. You see evidence of "beef juice?" I'm not making this up. But thanks for making jokes. Good luck with that attitude as a business owner. SMH
