Love this place, food were great, staffs very nice, affordable prices.
Looking for an old fashioned American diner experience? Look no further, Cafe Perks is the place! Great customer service, delicious food, and joyful atmosphere! The owner Amanda is a true sweet heart, felt like family from the very beginning. She has a special skill to make you feel loved and cared for. Food came out in a timely manner and did not disappoint! Will be back again! Highly recommended!
Everyone enjoyed their breakfast from eggs Benedict to senior omelettes. There’s usually six of us there for Sunday breakfast every week Cathy is the best server in the business. She is thorough, thoughtful and remembers everything. She’s super friendly and knows extinctively what we want/need. Since the new ownership, Amanda has done her best to hire cooks and servers to help her deliver quality food along with great service. Prices are reasonable we definitely recommend!!! Five out of five stars!
Such a positive and loving atmosphere. Amazing servers , they show they care and love everyone that walks through the doors. Ashlee , Cathy , Brenda and Leslie make dinning in there feel like at home . Amanda the owner is as sweet and caring as can be ! amazing cooks! and even the food prep crew comes out and says hi! we love it here. can’t ask for anything better !
I'm an out-of-towner visiting. Let me say, that the ladies who work and serve here are adorable and the epitome of service. I was greeted and served like one of their own. The local camaraderie was pleasant to hear and see. Very warm, local, and small-town diner. The food prices were very affordable.
Amanda and her team are amazing!! They were the only place we found open after Hurricane Milton even when she didn’t have power at her own home she was here taking care of the community!!!!! Great job way to go!!!!!! Place has always felt like eating at mom’s kitchen.
Lots to choose from on the menu. Stopped for breakfast after reading the reviews. The country fried fish was surprisingly tasty, I got the grits, and it comes with eggs. My son got the chicken and waffles. The portions are big, and the food came out pretty quick.
As everyone knows today is the day after Milton. They were open at 10:30 and were hustling and bustling to get us fed. I don't know what the woman's name was, could be Amanda but she was great! The food was incredible and very comforting. left there feelings hope-FULL! THANK YOU!
Found this place on accident, but sooooo glad we did. Absolutely great customer service. From the moment we walked in until we left, everyone was super nice n attentive. The food was Absolutely Delicious!! BEST biscuits and gravy I have had in a long time. My boyfriend got the smothered steak with mashed potatoes n collards and he loved it. Prices are definitely affordable and we will be back. The new owner is wonderful
If you want something cooked, fresh, come up here because they love to treat their customers and treat them like family.I've never seen it like that before
🤠My daughter and my granddaughter just had breakfast here it was delicious. They did not miss a Beat orders were to perfection. And I want to make a note that they use biodegradable straws thank you very much for helping save the planet✌️❤️
Amazing little gem. If you are a Vet, then you need to be here!! Friendly service, great food and great locals. What a fabulous experience in eating at a simple joint like this with great coffee
A delicious small town style dinner width amazing food and friendly staff we eat here once a week it's always perfect
Seriously amazing if you want a nice hometown southern breakfast/lunch. Waitresses are sweet and make you feel at home. A million times better than any franchise diner. Mom &pop places are harder to find these days.
Only had Beakfast, it was great and the prices are much better then most breakfast paces out there.
I will drive back here from Tampa one day to have this breakfast. It’s a simple breakfast but they do it perfectly. The sausage links are the GOOD kind and the eggs were so fluffy. Great prices too. Again, this breakfast and service is worth an hour and a half drive from Tampa.
I always drove by here so I’m like let me stop. It was very nice. The food was great. I like how about hashbrowns were like smashed potatoes. It was very good.
Wow, damn the food is good in this place if u looking for a grate and I mean grate mom and pop dinner to get breakfast and lunch at this is it. It looks a Lil off or hidden but man step in and sit down u about to geat a real treat
I loved the southern hospitality. Pretty good but I already have food. The food was really good. Especially the biscuit and gravy. The pancake was okay. The coffee was great.
Their breakfast skillet is a great way to to start your day! Another update on 2/23/2024. Had the sausage and cheese omelet with home fries. Great breakfast. Don't pass up the pancakes either. Good stuff at Amanda's diner! Update on 12/1/2023. Still one of the best diners in Central Florida. Great breakfast and fantastic service! Love their breakfast skillets. Their pancakes are pretty good too! Stopped in for breakfast and had the breakfast skillet with sausage and onions. Darn good skillet! Full of flavor. The cheese just made it that much better. Service is always good. The prices are good too!
Great place for a diner breakfast and a dose of southern hospitality. The food is good, the staff are friendly, and the regular crowd makes the place feel like a family dining room. Give your breakfast experience at least an hour and do not forget why the food is taking longer. If you want homemade, you are going to have to wait a little longer. It is well worth it
New owners and my first time was fantastic. They keep it simple with paper utensils, i ordered a gyro omlette with all the veggies and a side of sausage gravy and it was cooked perfectly. The veggies were just right and plenty of meat . Homemade gravy also ,i will be back for more especially because after I finished I was so delighted that I ordered a patty melt- which was to die for omg it was so good and was hand pattie not a frozen pattie (I was hungry and it was going to be lunch soon lmao) and yesterday I ate it there after my first meal. The waitresses are awesome 👌 thank you to the cook as well.
Only place open with hot food mere hours after Hurricane Milton. With the owner working when the power at her own house was out. Food and service were incredible despite the situation. Please go support this small business who is committed to our community!
Nicks Diner was good, but this place is just as freakin good! Perfect southern style country breakfasts. Best breakfast in Orlando! Located on OBT between Silver Star and Princeton
Service / Hospitality is great Brenda was AMAZING!! Environment works Prices are reasonable And the food is FANTASTIC!! Full of flavor & cooked right!! Keep up the great job guys!!
Best greasy spoon in town! Local place that loves their vets! If you need a breakfast joint look no further!
Love the food!! The owner and my favorite waitress, along with the cook They are awesome!! The best environment and service..
Heather & Justin. (The Owners) Are Super Sweet. They Definitely Give The Cafe A Homey Vibe. Great Food & Great Service. Quick, Cheap & Made With Love!

Stopped by today and was surprised at the service, food and portions. This little diner is a great staple for this area and probably often overlooked. It’s under new management and they are doing a fantastic job with it. We will be back. The Fish is amazing!

Love the food!! The owner and my favorite waitress, along with the cook They are awesome!! The best environment and service..
Well-priced and delicious food with friendly and speedy service! I ordered the French toast, eggs, and home fries, and my husband ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with hash browns. Both our meals were absolutely fantastic. We’ll be back soon, thank you!
Diner food at its best! Omelets to die for. Service beyond compare. Great hristian atmosphere.
Place had a real chill vibe. Food was great. I had the country omelette with home fries it was delicious.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I come to Café Perks on a pretty regular basis, and every time I walk in, it’s like stepping into Mom’s kitchen. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of that down-home comfort you don’t find just anywhere. Amanda and her staff are incredible — they bring a personal touch that truly makes you feel like family. I’ve tried many different items on the menu and haven’t been let down once. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or something sweet, everything is made with care and served with a smile. If you’re looking for great food and an atmosphere that feels like home, Café Perks is the place. Thank you, Amanda and team — y’all are amazing! – Cleve

The portions were massive, the service was warm and friendly. The waitress even gave us directions to the nearest grocery store. Really sweet little place, all I suggest is a little freshening up of the decor. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience dining here.
The good the bad and the ugly . First thought- I would eat here again. The food was like mom would make. No frills, nothing you are amazed at, but tasty and filling with good portions for your dollar. Coffee has free refills and is very good. The staff is warm, attentive, and professional. We were greeted on walking in like you might be when coming home. Seat yourself with ample seats available. The front greets veterans with a nice window mural which is nice for us vets. (Young people- serve your country- freedom isn’t free or a guarantee). The inside is a trip back to 1964. The booths and seats are likely the originals with holes in many of the vinyl seats. The paint may have been redone in the 90s. Tears, chips, hand prints on the walls make it look dirty. The tables are clean and the utensils though very old and cheap are clean and sealed on the table. Our waitress tells us the new owner has only had the place just over a year and they struggled due to road closures. I hope she rewards her employees with a living wage for their loyalty during hard times and puts some money into the decor as this place is likely to become more popular. Come try this old gem in the rough. It won’t break the bank, you’ll leave full, and you’ll help support a non chain jewel.

Quick cheap breakfast was just fine had to send eggs back but new ones came right and quick. A bit rundown inside weird table with knick knacks shouldn't be in the way. Cute cup logo.
Listen ya’ll. This is an amazing whole in the wall find- Great black coffee. Old diner style place. It is not your fancy latte joint with all the coordinated decor. But if you seek the old mom and pop joint this is your spot! They are Veteran friendly and the food was good! I do have one complaint. And I will not air it here. I want to give the company an opportunity to fix- Please reach out so I can help you create and offer a better experience to your customers. Both local and otherwise. (It’s a safety concern.)
I had the country egg Benedict with the seasoned potatoes. The egg Benedict was delicious. However the potatoes tasted like they were about to turn. Lisa, our waitress was great. The staff is welcoming but they need to work on serving freshly made potatoes

Amazing food amazing service, breakfast prices great and the people are nice. I hope this place stays open!! Update 09/21/2025 So this morning, I brought my family to enjoy Perks which has been a mainstay of mine for almost ten years. I've always loved the food, reasonable prices...even when they had to use Styrofoam cups for 18 months due a drain field issue. But today will be my final visit. The food was the worst I've ever had at a restaurant and all but 2 of the nine people I brought didn't like theirs either. The service was good and amazing as always. No one went thirsty. This criticism is directly soley at the cook(s): All of the fried food was burnt and gross. The country fried steak and fried home fries tasted like bad oil and were burned. Fried charcoal taste permeated those dishes. The fried biscuit tasted rubbery. My nieces and nephews didn't eat/like their food. Most just pecked at the fries. We did overwhelm the cook with 9 orders, which we waited about 20-35 minutes for, but given the time, and the fact the food was nearly not edible....there's just no excuse. Again the oil in fryers is old and needs to be changed out. I've worked in food service and its clearly bad. 3 of us became ill afterwards, including myself. Tossed our cookies type sick. So....this is the end of an era. The prices are obviously not what they were, but we spent well over $100 and a box store though pricier wouldn't have made these basic culinary mistakes. It shows no one cares. And the German roach at the table as we left sealed the deal. Would not recommend. Needs new cook, cleaning, and new furniture. The booth seating is uncomfortable.
Greasy spoon diner. We must’ve stopped on an “off day.” Presented as kind of run down, uncared for, and dirty, service was slow, and the food was mediocre (that’s being kind) at best. The hollandaise was inedible, and my “skillet” was a bowl just like the other bowls. I’d always driven by and wondered, but that question was answered. Room for improvement on the operator’s end. I think that money could be better spent somewhere else in this town filled with delicious places to eat.
I visit Perks Cafe today July 13th for breakfast everything was cold I asked the host to warm my food up she wouldn't do it I've been in a lot of times with the worst and bacon was burnt to a to a crisp they need to hire I better cook
Ordered waffles and wasn’t the biggest fan of the taste, and it was a little burnt. I took two bites and left it to the side. Asked the waitress if it could be taken off the bill(especially since I didn’t eat any of it). Was responded by the cook saying they wouldn’t because “There was nothing wrong with it”.
830 I stop in to eat - this small sign says open at 9, Waitresses are inside and everything just sitting down laughing at people coming! Every since the new owner took over the time frame is whenever they feel like it! This place is going downhill. I don’t think they know you can report them to the Better Business Bureau if they don’t go by that time frame they post they advertise all over their buildings in online. A lot of people left ! This is so sad - we come to this place for 2 years !
Way over priced.my girlfriend and I got a grilled cheese sandwich each I also got a bowl of soup and 2 drinks bill came to 25.50.omg
I went in today ordered my food got half my order. Never got a refill on my drink. And a waitress was extremely rude.
first time ordering from this place. ordered grits, 2 scrambled eggs and pork chop with a sweet tea. consistency of the grits were good, i ordered 2 scrambled eggs but the portion size was only 1. doesn’t match up with the amount of grits you get. the pork chops did not taste like they were cooked all the way through. very bland taste. the sweet tea was the best part. very disappointed.
