Opinions de La Verguenza Puertorrican Chinchorro Orlando
Delicious PR food very close to the mall. The restaurant is nicely decorated and painted with PR Coqui, Old San Juan and vejigante mask. Service was great and very patient with our 3 yr toddler. I had a parcha mojito that was great and refreshing. The portions are good and prices too. Ambience was typical PR vibe with tropical/latin music and they put the baseball game for the people sitting next to us. Plenty of parking available and clean bathrooms.
Omg everything was amazing from the beers to the dessert flavors were amazing excelente COMIDA BORICUA. Appetizers bacalaitos, mini alcapurias y el queso frito amazing.El servicio super amazing Cristina she was amazing. Definitely will be back here when in the Orlando area. Coffee was also GREAT….👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥰🥰🥰
The food was good and the drinks were good. I had the chicken tacos, and it was good. The only problem I had with the chicken tacos is the price. You paid $15 for two regular size tacos. They could lower some of the prices on certain food they are over price for the portion of food you get. But that all depends on what you order. The bartenders are great making the drinks.
My coworker said she saw this restaurant on TikTok and suggested we should try it. We went during lunch and we were not disappointed. The were greeted and seated quickly. They have so many food options. The lunch specials were limited but a great deal at $9.99. We tried a few appetizers. The surrullo's and bacalaitos were my favorite. The morcilla was good. However, it is an aquired taste. The carne frita was delicious and not overcooked. It came with white rice and pink beans. The beans had a few nice chunks of pumpkin in the broth I liked. Our waitress Yelitza was super attentive and accommodating. I will be back to try the mofongo and pasteles.
La Vergüenza Puertorrican Chinchorro is a fantastic spot that truly captures the essence of Puerto Rican cuisine. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was lively, the staff was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The attention to detail and the friendliness of the team made the experience even better. Now, let’s talk about the food....absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold, authentic, and well balanced. The mofongo was on another level, easily one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly mashed, full of garlicky goodness, and paired beautifully with the protein. Every bite was packed with flavor, making it a standout dish. One small recommendation: be mindful when seasoning the chicken bites for kids. They were slightly over seasoned, but they still had great flavor. A little adjustment there, and they’d be perfect! Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone craving amazing Puerto Rican food. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!
Amazing experience! We found parking right in front, we were seated as soon as we walked in. The aesthetic transports you back to PR. We had a sample that wasnt on the menu which came with sanwichitos de mezcla. The bacalaitos were my favorite. The Verguenza coloda was so good and strong. Our table also ordered the cuajito, chuleta can can and mofongo relleno de mahi mahi. Everything was DELICIOUS. Naisha was our waitress and she was super sweet, nice and helpful! Our food came right away and she made sure to check in with us often. 100/10 highly recommend.
Heard about this on the radio and decided to try it and it didn't disappoint. We went earliy enough to catch their lunch special. Food was sooo flavorful and delicious as one expects from Puerto Rican food and a great value for the price. Mango mojito was on point. The parcha juice was good too but was expecting natural juice which I dont think it was. Overall, we will be back to try more things from the menu.
Went with my husband to La Verguenza PR in Orlando and have to say the atmosphere was relaxing our waiter Johanna was amazing! I ordered Arroz con gandules and chuleta frita con maduros my husband arroz con habichuela y pollo empanado. Have to say when my food came out I could smell the seasoning on my rice that took me back to PR since the arroz con gandules is my favorite I enjoyed it with the delicious pork chops. My husband also enjoyed his food said it was tasty and perfectly seasoned! Yes we will be back the manager Irán was also friendly!! The Chef hands down 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Dios te bendiga tus manos 🙏🏼 Highly recommend!!
Good atmosphere. Good food and our server Alexandra was really kind and attentive with us. We really enjoyed the food and the place. We definitely recommended. Si extrañas la comida de PR es un buen lugar para darte un gustito.
The atmosphere, the food, everything was delicious. Maria, our waitress, was very friendly and helpful. The bartender, without even being asked, noticed that I was telling my partner that I would have liked a little more alcohol in my piña colada, and Maria brought me a shot to add to it. The service is truly top-notch. I felt like I was in Puerto Rico, my beautiful island, which I miss so much. We will definitely be back.
Great experience and incredible service. I have visted over 790 restaurants and this one has it all. For it being so new they have a solid grip of the business. Great quality food and great taste. Ever since they replaced the manager it got even better! Truly represent their brand!
We had a great experience at Last Vergüenza, and a big part of that was our waiter, Agueda. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we sat down. She knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and checked in on us just the right amount. Her positive attitude really added to the overall experience. Excellent service—thank you, Agueda!
Great experience! The atmosphere was very welcoming. Our server, Luis, was excellent — super friendly, attentive, and fast. He made sure we had everything we needed and gave great service from start to finish. The food was delicious, portions were fair, and the prices are what you’d expect for the area. They also have a full bar. Definitely planning to return, especially thanks to the outstanding service from Luis.
Oustanding menu with an even better service, (Ask for Johana). Very fast service even for a large group of fourteen (ours); we didn't have to wait too long. Johana was very patience, proficient and helpful. We had a great time. We gave them 10 chocolatitos.
I had the Mofongo with Carne Frita and it was the best! Great prices and wonderful service, I would recommend to anyone! Real taste of Puerto Rico.
Food was delicious! Our server was professional and took care of our party of 16 people with ease. Also loved the salsa and bachata they played. Will definitely be back!
Alexandra served us and she was very patient and food was perfect! Everything we ordered came as we ask for. She is great server and place its great! Thanks
Didn’t know this place was here in Orlando.. I had it in Puerto Rico and it was amazing. I was invited after church and let me tell you one of the best Puerto Rican spots here in Orlando. The stuffed chicken breast is to die for.. Highly recommend
Everything was amazing!!! The food was super delicious, fresh and good quantity for the price. The mofongo, gandules and chimichurri steak was awesome!!! Even better than the one I tried in another restaurant in Puerto Rico. If I would known before, I wouldn’t have gone too far for authentic mofonfo dish.
The restaurants decor and atmosphere were delightful! The service was spot on and the food was delicious. The portions were significant especially for the price point. Will definitely return!
Gregory was my waiter . So sweet and was knowledgeable about the menu . This place reminds me of childhood in Puerto Rico visiting family . The octopus salad was the best thing I’ve ever tasted . I’m visiting from up north but when I come back to Orlando I’m bringing my mom who’s from Puerto Rico here for the pulpo.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly and fast server. Food was great. We had the mini alcapurrias, monfongo with fried pork, and the skirt steak. Everything tasted great. Portions were fair. A little pricey, but expected in this area. They have a full bar as well. Will return to try other dishes and drinks.
Great family oriented restaurant. Food is delicious. Great music. Good prices. I recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
What a fun place! Good drinks and delicious food. They play great music and have a huge TV for the sport lovers. They have a full bar and an extensive menu. Tuesday night is karaoke and 2x1 Margaritas, which I love. The people are welcoming and the atmosphere is super chill. Definitely go check it out. Ask them for them for their home made hot sauce 😋
Wonderful experience. I brought a friend who has never tried Puertorrican food and she loved it.
Is a good puertorican restaurant the people and the atmosphere is really nice. The food quality is phenomenal everything is cooked well and everything comes hot.
Good food! Very loud DJ but we went outside so it wasn't too bad. The steak was amazing! Mofongo 4/5. Very friendly staff who made sure we were taken care of. Recommended for sure. Plenty of Parking on road and area.

Loved it here!! This place is super nice and the service is excellent! Good drinks and good vibes!! Gregory & Steven are the best!!
First time at this restaurant and highly recommend. Food was delicious we shared the Carne frita with arroz con gandules. The rice was so on point taste like grandma made it. The fried pork was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside was perfect. Also had a side of mofongo which taste so good had real chicharrón pieces in it and the garlic flavor was just the right amount. The mofongo was soft and juicy not dry like other places I have tried . The morcilla was also delicious. Portions were good and our server was Johanna she was pleasant attentive and kind. Wish we would have taken pictures to show it was so yummy we ate and thought about the pictures later obviously too late lol Will be back soon.
The food was incredible — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. The mofongo was rich and savory, the arroz con gandules was cooked to perfection, and the pernil was tender and juicy with the perfect crispy edges. Every bite tasted homemade and made with love. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in their food. If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine that feels like home, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!
If you want real Puerto Rican flavor without the tourist nonsense, this is the spot. La Vergüenza feels like a true chinchorro, loud, lively, and full of soul. The food tastes homemade, not rushed, not watered down, just straight-up comfort food that reminds you of the island. Everything came out fresh and hot, portions were generous, and the flavors were on point. The drinks were strong, the music set the vibe, and the energy was exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually enjoy yourself instead of eating in silence. Service was friendly and welcoming, like you’re family, not just another table. This place is perfect for hanging out, grabbing a few drinks, and eating food that actually tastes like Puerto Rico. Definitely coming back. This is the kind of place you gatekeep but also secretly want everyone to know about.
I miss Puerto Rican food. I had the carne frita and my partner ate the mofongo. I also ordered a side of pigeon peas w/ rice and tostones. Delicious! The meat was tender/ the skin crispy. Their mofongo was more flavorful than others I've tried. Theirs was garlic forward - we really enjoyed it. Tostones are perfect.
Excellent ambiance from the second I walked in with my husband … super humble, happy environment, clean areas including rest rooms and overall the staff treated us and others attentively: the food is delicious including the appetizers and mixed drinks. The owner is very friendly and cares for his customers. Best restaurant I’ve been too since visiting Orlando Florida., A+ service & definitely a 5 star ⭐️ well deserved!

1st time at this Puerto Rican restaurant. The place is nice, the customer service was good, I ordered the passion fruit juice and the mini alcapurrias, that they are more masa with a little bit of meat but they were good! My daughter ordered chicharrón de pollo, and they served fried breaded thighs pieces, and that's not what we called chicharrón de pollo, me and my partner ordered the mofongo with carne frita and I received more grasa than carne frita and he said that his was ok, but he likes the grasita, the mofongo were good!
Taste of the food is amazing, ( churrasco + majado vianda) been twice already, but head up for big party groups, servers would tell you they would split the ticket, they won’t do it at the end, even the manager on Friday 6th doesn’t want to help. The girls on the bar take time to help my rookie waitress and help us. Was bad experience when you have non-Spanish guest on your group. For that reason I don’t give them the 5 star.
Food and service was great. The bathroom wasn't clean but they took care of it as soon as I notified them.
First time trying this place. Place is very nice, comfortable. Waitress was very attentive and food was good but I found it a bit pricy for 2 ppl $123, the appetizers tray $34, we also ordered a jumbo shrimp in tomato sauce and for the side my husband chose the mofongo come to find out they charged me $2 extra for the tomato sauce and 2 extra for the mofongo, I shared here menu item and my receipt. Before ordering ask for prices or extra charge.

I've been here twice and have not been disappointed. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and when I walk in here is like walking into a restaurant back home. Savory tasting food, great vibe, great drinks (especially the house sangria) and GOOD portions. To be fair before I forget we went a little late and it's also a bar and hang out place. That being said the music was little loud but not unbearable just to the point where you have to speak louder and pay close attention to the other person to understand each other. Also at times the lyrics weren't family friendly but most of the songs were. Prices are more than fair. There servers at least both of my experiences were EXCELLENT. Will definitely come back but hope they keep music selection at least PG-16.
I was very excited to try mofongo here, I got a plate of stewed beef with mofongo and plantain, the only good one is the plantain. Beef and mofongo is extremely dry, I had to drink water and chew at the same time to be able to swallow it. Not sure why the rating is so high.
When we saw the name we want to try it. We went for lunch around 1:00 pm, not busy only 2 tables with 2 persons in each. After 30 min more people enter. Restaurant clean, the employees respectful and proper however, no one of the attendees were puertorricans. I asked for a cola champagne and they don't have it, asked for a chicken soup don't have it either. 😞 I ordered a mofongo with pork chunks, the mofongo was good the meat very salty and dry. My husband ordered mofongo with chicken al ajillo, same, mofongo good, chicken not impress with flavor. My niece asked for pechuga a la plancha with salad, her food was good. We ordered a cheese flan was ok. We order for drink one Medalla, one Malta India. Total with tip 100.00 dollars. Not impress with the food and very pricey.
This restaurant was a total disappointment. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the bartender but there were only three people working. The place wasn't very busy, however we had to wait a while in order to get our order taken. We started with an appetizer of queso frito and our drinks. Our main courses were the mofongo and the pechuga rellena. The food took a while to come out so therefore it wasn't hot when it got to us. My wife's dish was over seasoned with pepper. Honestly everything was overpriced for what you actually get. This place is definitely a shame. I wouldn't recommend going here. If you're in the mood for authentic Puerto Rican food I would recommend going down the street to El Cillantrillo.
Food overpriced and not good. The first burger was burnt the other was raw. Everything we ordered besides something the server recommended was actually 4/10 if not less of a rating.
