Some of the best pizza I've had in a while bring me back like I'm in New york if your in the area, give it a try
Always friendly staff that makes great pizza. My favorite is the white pizza. These guys are always kind and are doing their part keeping the restaurant clean and moving efficiently. Definitely worth visiting for lunch!
Therir food is plenty and flavorful. Staff is friendly and attentive. I always do pick up but they also deliver. They're conveniently located to East Orlando residents. Really good Italian food not frozen. Freshly made not thawed then heated.
We have ordered pizza from their pizzeria multiple times and they have never disappointed us. Their garlic knots are fantastic as well. They also sell calzone's and I would say their cheese calzone is a little plain on the outside and needs some salt or seasoning (to me, obviously everyone has their own opinions and tastes).
Best pizza in northeast orlando. Period! My family has lived in the area since ‘98 and we’ve been ordering pizza from her for literally over two decades. The pizza has gotten better and better over the years. Whenever I come back to town to hang with my parents we always order a pizza from here. Soooo good!
Everything we had was excellent. Salad and garlic knots to start were delivered quickly. Pizzas were very good, and the ravioli de Antonio was amazing. Seasonal pumpkin cannoli was a nice twist on the classic dessert. The young lady taking care of guests inside was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
We've gotten from this place several times & it's all good. Pasta dishes, soup, bread, gyro is all fantastic! Pizza is so so but everything else is great!
This is the closest place with pizza that tastes like New York pizza! My preferred Pizza restaurant.
Best pizza in town PERIOD! Great service. On Friday I ordered 9 boxes of pizzas to be delivered for my daughter's 4th birthday party that was on Saturday. Not only they delivered it exactly in time. Literally everyone of our guests complimented the pizza. Every slice gone! Thank you Papa Gio's for make my daughter's birthday a success!
These guys are a class act. There was an issue with our food and it was resolved before we even knew about it and the good part of the damaged pizza was brought to us at no charge, to eat while we waited for another pizza to come out. Felipe served us and was very kind. Will definitely be back!
Pizza came hot delicious like always people don't need to change. Nothing not a darn thing. It's the best place I ever ordered from.
Great pizza 🍕. We always order pick up. Delivery times are difficult. This restaurant is busy and Delivery times are backed up. Not the restaurants fault. Staff works hard to get the food out. Be kind and leave honest feedback, or don't leave any at all. Go elsewhere. It's your free choice. We love Papa Gio!!
They have closed down and apparently changed their owners. I have not been back since
We loved ordering Papa Gio's when they were in our town. We had to take the drive but it was worth it for this location as well. Really delicious and fresh pizza.
Who would have thought a primarily take-out restaurant would have food this good? Lasagna delicious and well, balanced. Not acidic, flavorful, Good quality meat. Garlic knots set a high standard unmatched in the best tablecloth restaurants.. Killer good. Update July 2023 Last time was so good, I hesitated to write this review. Gnocci was overcooked into mush, prosciutto and asparagus were missing.
Been ordering food from this location for several years. usually about once a month or so. Always tasty, Always convenient. Staff has always been professional and courteous. The driver tonight evidently forgot to pick up up a portion of my order. When pointed out, he immediately got on the phone to figure out how to make it right. Not getting an answer(most likely because of how busy they were) he drove back to the store, grabbed the remainder of my order and had it delivered back with in minutes. He was apologetic and courteous. Bottom line, he went out of his way to make things right! I wish I got his name....Great customer service! Papa Gios will always have my business as long as they have employees like the driver tonight, and the attention he gave to getting my order right. People... sometimes businesses will make mistakes. What's important is how they handle and correct those mistakes. Good customer service is measured more after the sale than before. Well done Papa Gios tonight for your outstanding customer service after the sale!
Everything we ate from this place was great. I'm placing an order right now. Tiramisu delicious. Cheesecake fresh. Papa Gios pizza is really good too. I had their Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Great too. Hubby had their chocolate cake and love it. Hubby had their hamburger and it was good too. Cheese ravioli are good too.
Very lovely place I’ve been going to for several years. My family usually gets the Papa Gio’s pizza that comes with everything on top. I’ve also tried the pepperoni, cheese, and meat lovers pizzas and they’re all spectacular! Would highly recommend dining in as well, as the servers are especially kind. Selena is super hard working and attentive, she always had a bright smile as she helped out other times I came in.
Too bad its been replaced by Tomascinos......that place is no good.....one of the reasons I went to Papa Gios.....it felt like an actual pizza parlor
fire pizza. good ingredients. authentic people. Ceo is someone I can stand behind 🤞🏽🙏🏽🔥
I’m from Philly. We moved to Wedgefield and stopped in for a slice. I’m so happy to have found a great pizza! We ate in and we had it delivered tonight. Happy with both experiences. Will be ordering pizza and wings for the superbowl.
Papa Gio's is our go-to for pizza, we usually order and pick up but today we dined in for the first time. Food was great, hot and fresh. But the BEST part of our experience was our server, Kayla!! She was so sweet, attentive, and made sure everything was PERFECT! I'll definitely be dining in again and requesting her!!
Food is always great and Selena was an awesome server. Very pleasant, kind and attentive. Her kindness and attention to detail really made the experience top notch. I give her 10 out of 5 stars. The world could really use more positive people like Selena.
Been here twice , both times I was impressed. I'm Italian, food means a lot to my family and good food is greatly appreciated. I have so many good things to say, this might take a while. Actually I just want to say that Pisanos is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever experienced. I hope my Noni doesn't seed this.
Excellent food!!! Totally worth the wait!! We have ordered from them several times and the food is always excellent. We have had a variety of appetizers, pizzas (different toppings each time), dinners and several deserts. I know the chains deliver faster but it is so worth the wait. The food is night and day different from chain pizza. No comparison. Hands down, the best!!! The food that is supposed to be hot is always hot and what is supposed to be cold, is cold. One time, the soda was not ice cold but that's okay because that's how I drink it. Delivery driver is always great and respects our contact-free delivery. He puts the food on the chair on our front porch, knocks and goes back to his car. He then calls us to make sure we know the food is there. Definitely give this place a try. Forewarning though, you have to like NY-style pizza. It is different from the chains.
Not sure about the negative reviews here? Must be one worker having a hard time lately, but the quality of this place is amazing! Fair prices for high quality pastas, pizzas, chicken and more. Never no cheap BS with greasy ahh cheese like I get at so many other places. This place doesn't miss with any part of the menu! The service is also incredible, quickly being done with great quality, with very patient staff. And for a little hole in the wall, the atmosphere is great. Great Italian place ran by Italians, in a somewhat rural area where good food like this is a little difficult for a good price. Will continue to order from here and dine in! 5 stars.
La mejor pizza de todo Orlando Fl. Siempre la misma receta salsa con sabor, queso derretido y masa cocida a la perfección. Recomendada 100%
La mejor pizza y altas que me é comido en USA. Muchas gracias. 😋
OMG..exquisito..me encanto..
Súper deliciosa un servicio excelente
DELICIOUSO!
First time trying this place. The food is really good and they people are friendly. It doesn’t look like it from the outside but there is plenty of seating inside. We had a pizza and an appetizer this visit and we enjoyed them both. They have a full menu of so many choices. From a great Italian dish, soups, salads, to even a hamburger. They even have gluten free options.
Wow! Tuesday special, large for only $9.99 with no sacrifice on taste! Pizza was really good and their garlic knots with cheese. From the service to the food overall really good and right in thru neighborhood.
Foods decent. Service is subpar. Never try to call in an order or you'll be on hold for 20 mins because they refuse to hire decent staff. Updated 7/23/19. Revising review from 2 to 4 stars. Food is still really good, service has improved immensely though I recommend take out vs delivery. I’d give them 5 stars but they often miss little things on the order and we have to go back in to get our sauces or gyro meat on the gyro salad. Wings are amazing.
I Ordered for the first time and the food was delicious. Loved the Pizza! But I am giving it a 4 star because once I went in to make my order in person they weren't really friendly. Feels very depressing going in to that restaurant. No one smiles which it's strange. If it wasn't for that I would of giving it a 5 star. I ordered Pizza, wings and Garlic knots and it all tasted delicious. But I won't be dinning in for sure.
Overrated. Not sure if it's because it's one of the few places that deliver in my area or what, but their food is average at best, mediocre often. Last time they delivered the wrong order, had to call twice to find out they were making me a replacement meal (they delivered mine to the wrong customer). When I finally got it over 45 minutes later the chicken was raw. Update: I've ordered pizza a few times from them in the past couple months and they seemed to have improved quite a bit. Hopefully the consistency continues.
Visited for lunch. Had a gyro which was huge in size and tasted fine. Meat was a bit crunchy and the lettuce was not as fresh as I like. The pitta bread was toasty. Had the gyro before and it was great, not sure if they had different cook. Decent portion of good fries. Will visit again, services is great and their pizza and garlic nuts are great. I guess I will go to a Greek place for a Gyro next time.
Used to be my favorite pizza place in the east side. However, three times is a charm. Not getting the order on their system, having to wait additional time to get it. No discount, no free small drink. Then the pizza is not the same quality as before. I’m disappointed.
Ordered take out and timing was fast the 2 pizzas were good nice crust robust flavor and the gluten free crust was a hit. The bruschetta was a bit disappointing with thick slices of French bread that appeared dried out and not toasted in any fashion.
Service is slow & not caring enough to a customer who is ready to order but has to wait without any sales education. Pizza is ok BUT A LARGE is not a large it's a small at best a medium not worth the money but ok .
Food is good but every time we order something is wrong. Last chance was my sister ordered gnocchi and she didn’t even get a full portion , it looked like someone used a spoon and scooped once and put it in the aluminum tray. Won’t be ordering anymore.
I ordered a mushroom and sausage on a gluten free crust. I was very disappointed. The sausage was like lunch meat not good Italian sausage and the crust was undercooked and very soggy. They also forgot to cut it .still looking for a good Italian pizza place e near me
Great food. Looks nice! Its like having day after pizza delivered to you. We ordered here despite the warning of 1 hour wait time. And 2 hours later we got it. Wouldn't have mind if it seemed like it was just cooked, but after feeling the food it seems liked the food was made in about 30 minutes left in a "hot" hold unit for an hour and delivered on the 4th stop. If you order from here wait an hour then pre heat your oven and get some ice for your drink
Good family place and pizza is good as well. On the other hand, the delivery is horrible. You have to wait more than an hour and half to receive your pizza. Not acceptable at all. Next time will call Pizza Hut which is right next door to them and I will get it in 30 min at a cheaper price. I want to support local businesses but I also expect them to try to get better. I have been a client of Pappa Gio's for over 8 years but I am really frustrated!!!
Moved to the area recently, ordered two "new to me" items from the website, chicken parm pizza and stuffed shrimp. Walked in gave my name, "Oh yeah the chicken parm pizza here you go, all set!" "I had stuffed shrimp too." "Oh yeah we don't have that so I refunded $5 back to you, I'm not really sure how much it costs." "Yeah I forget too but it was definitely more.." "Okay well here's a phone number you can use to call the app service." I mentioned i hadn't used an app, their official site was was told something along the lines of it's a 3rd party provider for that section of the website, but they should be able to help me out. I'd literally moved in across the street the previous day and didn't even bother trying to get my missing $8 back after I had to actually put salt on the chicken parm pizza to make it palatable. I've worked in a pizza shop before, and ordered from many super small spots closer to downtown, it's a really easy solution for a missing item: one quick phone call or text to the customer and say "hey we don't have that side, pick something else similarly priced" (that wouldn't affect the billing so they don't have to do acrobatics with that stuff, as apparently they don't "run that part of the site")...or you know, know your own menu OR check it real fast and refund the proper amount. By the way, 10 days later and the refund never actually happened for any amount, the side was $13. So essentially $30 for a small pizza that was wildly bland, to pick up myself, with a missing major item.
Terribly disgusting food. There is more flavor at a little Cesar's. Way too much cheese, presumably to make up for the lack of flavor and high prices. It was like a nasty goo mess in my calzone. All I can taste is thick nasty cheese. No flavor. I'm still hungry I had to stop eating the large calzone it was beyond nasty. Had some sort of nasty pasta, that was gross too. Everyone had to stop eating their food, it was gross. We went to zaxby's after. Picture of food going In trash barely touched ( so gross)
I ordered through Google which is actually through Slice. I ordered 10 wings and a stromboli at 4:15 and my eta was 5:45. Delivery was on time and the man was polite. My first issue was more of a personal pet peeve - putting the cold blue cheese in the same bag as the hot wings. Second issue, wings were bland and covered in feather stems. I know it’s normal for one or two but there were so many and they didn’t taste good enough to overlook them. It came with two pieces of celery, also warm, and rotten with a strange smell. The Stromboli was okay - just tasted like meat, no other seasoning - and the bottom was soggy. Ordering pizza at 4pm on a Wednesday should not take 90 minutes to arrive.
Not exactly happy with picking this restaurant this evening. Ordered online but decided to go there to pickup. Got to the restaurant but food wasn’t ready when approximately time was given so decided to add 3 cannolis to the order and enjoy a glass of wine while waiting. When we went back to get the order to go I asked for the parmigiana cheese. Before I was done using the parmigiana cheese the front cashier/staff took it back so I spoke up and said “I wasn’t done “ he of course handed it back but I felt like (you paid already now go)! So we took our order and left. Felt completely rushed and staff was not exactly friendly. When we got home (30 minutes away) I told my son to open the bag because the cannolis were in there… to find nothing but a salad. When I called back to get a refund the girl who answered the phone said the manager was very busy and can’t take the call… Ummm… no. I ordered something you didn’t give me and I want to have him refund me. After 8 minutes of waiting she gets him on the phone, he says what can I help you with? I explained what happened and he says sorry we are just busy. first off, you weren’t busy… we were the only people there at that time. Both people in the front weren’t helping anyone, you forgot something to my order that I wanted to surprise my son with and I felt the staff wasn’t friendly but tried rushing us out the door. The food is average if that and not great service by any means but the way I felt after that call means I won’t be going back and ticked me off to write the review for you. Word of advice… when you screw up you fix it and a courtesy to make people happy isn’t just refunding that item. 15.95 plus tax. You are new owners is what I was told so maybe you need to reevaluate your staff representatives or say “hey the next time you come In A dessert is on us” or something. I drove out of my way to give you a try. I ran a small business for 11 years and trust that I know how to keep a happy customer to come back. Lots of Italian restaurants to compete with locally and tonight was either not your night or just bad staffing including the manager but Covid isn’t an excuse you had a full staff and no one was inside waiting but us and a few people at the bar. NO EXCUSE
I ordered this for delivery last night, and even though it arrived quicker than expected, my food was not good at all. They forgot my 2 liter and still charged us for it, and I asked for two sides of cheese and they only gave us one side of pizza sauce. One pizza was cooked too much so it was hard to chew, and the other one was undercooked and doughy. Extremely disappointed and will not order again.
The food and service has been declining. The takeout food is all thrown together. Everything is a mess in the container. They use alot of butter to cook with the food is drenched and leaking butter out of the container. The Philly cheese steak sub has no flavor and very little filling put inside the sub. The help is not friendly with customers. Been going to them over 3 years just sad that the food and service has been declining. I don't know if we will be going back. We spend $60 to $80 on takeout would like it to be better.
Ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza and received a plain Alfredo pizza. Then the manager Carlos wanted to argue and be disrespectful to their customer so i will never buy from this place again after using them for years. Hope the Owner reads this and fixes his employee dysfunctions
We have been eating delivery from here for 3 years. We used to really enjoy it and the 1 hour wait was always worth it (we lived in Chuluota at that time) We now live across the street, it has gone down hill to say the least. And hour and a half to 2 hours for delivery, the pizza is always cold or burnt, we ordered Dinners a couple weeks ago and the chicken tasted like gum, was full of fat a veins (which should be cut off) the food tasted the same and was completely flavorless. The amount of times I've been hung up on while being placed on hold is ridiculous on top of it they get so busy it's hard to get through (gets frustrating) We kept ordering again because we thought the food/pizza would go back to the way it was, and maybe they were just short staffed. But, when you repeatedly order, spend the amount of money we do, and for it to FINALLY get here, and it tastes terrible it's just not worth it anymore! I give them 2 Stars because at least the Garlic Knots are good. I'm sorry Papa Gio, you've lost our business. Btw.. I'm not the only one saying these things.
ordered a 20 inch pie got a 3 inch crust. this place fell off
This place is to be described as an unfortunate failure. They should easily be offering the best pizza in an area that only has domino's to really compete with. The food gets worse year to year as well as the service. The pizza is mid at best and is expensive. The calamari is a joke and is most likely aged in the freezer. The gyro are a health hazard. No joke dont waste your time! If they don't care to be better than close already.
Second star is only because the people were very nice. One star for the food though. I went in and ordered, they told me 20 minutes went to my truck came in and grabbed the stuff and took off. It was almost cold by the time I got home. I should have waited inside. The food was not at all what I expected. Calamari was alarmingly salty. No way those meatballs weren't made and Frozen 2 weeks ago. Probably the lasagna too. I'm sure all that stuff was awesome when it was fresh. Like I said I hate to give a bad review but it just wasn't good.
Was very disappointed in my order last night. I ordered ravioli with meat sauce not baked with mozzarella cheese and guess what completely wrong. Had cheese. Plus less ravioli then last time. I ordered veal parmigiana with spaghetti and so little spaghetti then last time. Takes so long to get here and I'm only 6 miles away, plus it's barely warm. I order from goodfellas, which is 3 times the distance and there food Is very warm when it gets here. They were very good when they first open, but they are going down hill fast. Food is sloppy. Just very disappointed.
Never in a million years would I ever say this but they have teenagers and young people who work here who are VERY NICE. However, during the daytime they had a very rude woman working- she was sick and coughing on my food. The service was slow and she had no sense of urgency. When dealing with raw food like tomato salads, please make sure that your team is engaging in sanitary practices. I pay and tip well...I believe that the woman (Tanya I believe) was either in a bad mood or treating me poorly because I'm a person of color. Either way the service was horrible and I don't appreciate my food being coughed on especially when I'm spending almost $30
Always our favorite place to order, but this time we ordered a pepperoni calzone with extra ricotta, and an order of garlic knots. Long story short, I think they put extra mozzarella instead of ricotta, and there was so much mozzarella my son choked on it… then the garlic knots were amazing up until I bit into one that was so greasy it shot all over my husband.. this is the first time we’ve ever had a bad experience here.
Decided to give this Papa Gio’s a chance because we were big fans of the Avalon location and was extremely disappointed. I put in an order for pickup at 7 walked in at 7:15 for the girl working the front to say that she didn’t even realize an online order had come in on the tablet and just then print the order. After waiting 45 minutes for my pizza I opened the box at my home to it being undercooked, my wings were sitting in oil and my garlic knots were frozen. I called back and the only option was to bring back all the food and she could remake it. I was already home after driving 20 minutes and offering to make my food a second time when I’m hungry and irritated is not a solution. I would appreciate it if the manager could contact me ASAP to rectify this situation before I dispute it with my credit card company.
Called and order a pizza, waited 30 mins to go pick it up. Went to pick it up and the young girl who took the order remembered the call, took my payment, went to get the pizza to just come back to tell me they haven’t even made it yet, because they forgot. Waited there just to be handed an undercooked pizza, that I had to put in my own oven for an additional 20 mins. No apology, nothing to rectify the situation. If you’re going to only have children running your establishment at least make sure they remember how to put the pizza in the oven.
This evening, we placed an order for two pizzas: one plain cheese, one cheese with added tomato and basil, along with two slices of Sicilian pizza topped with banana peppers. Unfortunately, the pizza with tomato and basil arrived with no sauce and appeared to be a Margherita pizza, for which we were incorrectly charged. In addition, the two Sicilian slices were very disappointing—one was burnt and the other was undercooked and doughy on the bottom. I called to address these concerns, but the staff seemed unsure of how to respond. When I eventually spoke with the manager, Devon, he was dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than offering a solution or an apology, he insisted that we return the pizzas we were already throwing away before considering a replacement or a credit. I spent nearly $50 on this order, and my family was ultimately left with food we could not eat. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the food and the lack of customer service. I hope this issue will be addressed appropriately.
35 bucks(with delivery charges) for a pizza with no sauce. I ordered a pizza from Papa Gio's using the online store order site. I ordered a margherita pizza with all its default selection toppings as seen in the picture attachment. Despite Red Sauce being a default topping my pizza came without sauce. I contacted the store and spoke with an associate and also a manager. Both explained to me that the pizza comes without sauce. I profusely explained that I wanted the pizza with sauce as it is a default option when ordering online and instead of having the pizza re-made as it is advertised I was directed to call Menufy. I am not happy with this at all. What is the point of ordering online if I cant have what I pay for the way I ask for it? And to make it worse when I question it I get kicked around? Now I'm left with a pizza I and my family do not want to eat. I understand that margherita pizza is made differently from place to place but this is not one of those cases. It specifically says online that it is an included option. I'm not being a Karen about it. This is ridiculous and disappointing. I just want what I asked and paid for, not having a headache over this on an empty stomach.
I'm not sure what's happened to this place recently. This time we ordered delivery and one of the meals never turned up at all! The items they did deliver had parts of the meal missing. No sauce with the wings and none of the promised tomato sauce with the sausage, pepper and onion sub. It looked nothing like the images on the site, the bread was barely filled. Also, no sign of the promised "topped with tomato sauce" at all. It's a real shame because I loved this place. Not sure who they have working there tonight, but they absolutely shouldn't be.
Convinced the family to try a new pizza resturant over Pizza Hut or Domino's. We where optimistic and happy to help a local restaurant over a chain. It is a decision I regret doing. We spent around $70 on getting the following items and listed from worse to mediocre. Gyro, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, tortellini D'Amico, and garlic bread. The gyro bread was cold and split as if it was a corn tortilla. This is the worse gyro I've ever had. Pizza was dry and not a lot of sauce. Overall it was okay, I would prefer any other pizza chain Lil Ceasers, Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's. Pasta was better but not by much, and the garlic bread which included was the best part of this experience. I did call back just to let them in hopes they fix the concerns for future customers. They offered to remake the order but we didnt have a desire to experience a disappointing dish. FYI they won't do refunds on dishes that have been tasted/eaten.....
This was my go to spot. I don't know what's going on there now but the food is Awful now. Order was a hour late on top of that they took it to the wrong address when it clearly said the Is correct address the food was gross the wings were hard as a rock like they had been sitting around for hours. Never ordering from here again.
Terrible experience. Ordered food at 6, showed up at 8. Not only was it cold when it got to us, but our pizza looked like it was thrown in the box before delivery. Out first time ordering from here. Probably won’t order again. Super disappointing ——————————————— Edit: -1 star for food quality - tough pizza dough, pizza was alright nothing to write home about. - garlic knots were heavy, doughy, undercooked... nothing special - chicken wings were chewy as old leather, like they were double fried or something because once you got past the overwhelming garlic sauce, the meat itself was dry - like really REALLY dry This is embarrassing guys...I’m embarrassed for you honestly.
I ordered some pizza for my family and got an ETA of 45-75minutes. At 1.5 hours I called to ask where my order was. The answer was "They left already so it should be soon". No reason for being late or apology given. Over 2 hours after I ordered, delivery showed up, dropped my soda, he didn't say anything about that. So I refused to accept the cold pizza and exploding soda. They have been 30 minutes late on 2 other occasions. I tried to support them instead of big chains, but I will never get food from there again and will tell everyone that mentions them about their terrible service.
I have ordered from here a few times. Lately the last three times I have ordered my food they have totally messed up horribly. My wings have been a different flavor than what I ordered and they even missed flavors I had requested. I Love their pizza in house but I don't think I will be ordering any more take out from there. Such a disappointment.
Only ONE star or else I couldn't comment at All. Multiple times ordered Alfredo Pizza which was undercooked. There was a side salad with another order that NEVER made it to us. We love the food when it's Good but it's hit or miss with this place. Complain and they reek of attitude. AND we're ALWAYS the big tippers for the drivers. Whoever's MANAGING this East Orlando restaurant needs to be a bit more careful. Lot's of people, including my entire block are now LEARY.
This place is horrible. Delivery always takes 1.5 hours so your food arrives cold. The last time we ordered they forgot the salads, the time before that they forgot our order so it arrived in 3.5 hours. Their pizza is one step higher than a frozen one. Save your money and get a frozen pizza from the grocery store. It will be warm and it will take less time. Horrible pizza and horrible service
My first time, I asked for one mushroom slice and one pepperoni. I felt like I was chewing on cardboard. They gave me two old & extremely dull and dry slices when they had two fresh pies made. The second time I asked for a pepperoni slice and along with a mushroom slice and I was given a slice with three small pieces of pepperoni and the other had very little amount of mushroom slices. I asked them about the pepperoni slice and they stated that's all the pepperoni slices get. I kindly left the slices and did not buy it after their horrible service reminded me of the first time I was there. I kindly appreciate and tip everywhere I go but I couldn't stay and eat there. I just couldnt unfortunately. I would rather travel and go to GoodFellas Pizzeria. Their service is awesome.
Horrible customer service! Ordered over $50 worth of food online and you don't get what you ordered. Apparently the online ordering service is not in-sync with their regular menu. Then I call to see what's going on and immediately after explaining the situation got a snobby attitude from the cashier telling me I was wrong. If your menu online doesn't match up to your current specials, I shouldn't be the one at fault. I should receive exactly what I ordered either way. Finally spoke to the shift manager and got it sorted out. Customer service skills do not entail yelling at a customer!
Im very disappointed with my food. I got garlic knots that were burned and hard as rocks. The gyro i ordered and asked for it plain, was far from plain. Got all the way back home just to find out i wasted my time and money going here. The gyro looked like someone threw it in the box. I wont ever go back here again!! And definitely wont recommend this place to any of my family, friends or neighbors.
I placed an order through door dash for a small pizza but I received a calzone. When I called the store the man told me right away “no I have you the right order” he obviously didn’t so when I asked if I could get my correct order he said “if you want come to our store we’ll switch it out for you” that’s the dumbest solution to a problem that is an employees fault I’ve ever heard. The Avalon park location is much better, service is always so friendly there.
If you’re a Celiac stay away from this place!!! I’m intolerant to gluten and I ordered 2 Gluten-free pizzas in different occasions, the first one they messed up the order and gave me a regular pizza which I ate trusting it was GF, because I hadn’t eat any gluten before I didn’t have a bad reaction, just mild and I thought maybe I had eaten something in between that gave me the mild effects. Then we ordered a GF pizza again, making sure this time it was Gluten Free, as soon as I finish eating it I was hit with bloating, diarrea, stomach pain and fatigue, I’m sure it doesn’t have wheat because I don’t have the rash yet but I can tell you I won’t be ordering more “GLUTEN FREE” pizza from this place.
My family and I have orders from Papa Gios once a week for over a year. We recently had a mishap where a order was put in on accident and had no clue till they called us. When my wife called back to see if there was any chance of a refund the manager was completely ignorant to my wife and called her a liar about not knowing the order was placed. When I called back to speak to the same manager from being mad she was talked to that way he hung up on me. I will never use this place again and am highly disappointed we will have to find a new Pizzia place because of mismanagement.
Hate to say this will be our last time ordering from here after being loyal customers for years! The pizza was hard and dry. Almost like next day pizza that was thrown in the toaster oven. To top it off the manager I spoke to was down right rude! I will say a new one was delivered which was significantly better but after the manager we sill find a new go to
Ordered via GrubHub. After an hour and a half had to call about my order. Was told “Uhhh… GrubHub is messed up you’ll have to cancel the order.” GrubHub says store delivers the food. Incompetent. And honestly, last time I ordered, really stingy on toppings. Clearly a poorly run restaurant. Take your money anywhere else.
Got my pizza order wrong twice said they would replace it then they switch up and say 10% off.. pizzas trash so is customer service they will have you waiting for 30 mins for a medium pizza it’s ridiculous
Well been wanting to try this place out for a while now finally tried a calzone when I cut into it the dough was raw in the inside and the cheese was not completely melted definitely not worth the money not the worst experience but pretty bad
Very disappointed in the food. I saw the flyer and decided to take a chance and try this new place and I surely wish I had not. Ordered Garlic knots, Chicken and eggplant parmigiana, calamari, and every thing was drenched in oil. So much so after 3 bites I just could not stomach it anymore. I threw the food away. Waste of money. In these times of Pandemic we rely on businesses producing top quality food made the old way with love. However, I will not patronize this business again. I was embarrassed for them. The lumps of cheese on the parmigiana was more cheese than chicken and eggplant. There was no authentic seasonings, the olive oil tasted like Canola, and the side sauces were watery with no true kick. The noodles were not Angel hair or spaghetti if it was it was seriously over cooked and drenched with oil. To the point where the food slide from one side of the container to the other side like Roger rabbit. Come on get it together your food is suppose to be as inviting as your advertising. Once a customer decides to spend their hard earn money to order from your establishment, it suppose to be an enjoyable experience and not a regret.
The manager has no idea what she’s doing. Waiting 2 hrs for a delivery and she placed it as pick up. No call no concern!!!! Had to give 1 star in order to place this review. No star on my end.
What happened? I used to come here years ago, the counter person would acknowledge you, they would walk the food to your table on actual plates, what happened? The food went down the drain, the service down the drain, like what happened? Do we not care anymore? I’m sorry, I’m not coming back ever again.
I ordered a calzone .now anytime I order I get the same thing a calzone with hame and bell peppers ..this is the 2nd time in a few months that it is not cooked where the middle of it is still doughy.. I just don't understand how the cook doesn't notice it is not cooked all the way before sending it out to the customer
Very unhappy with the service we received tonight. We order from here often, without issue typically. If they do make a mistake they always fix the problem. Well, that didnt happen tonight. The dish delivered was wrong, and rather than have my son wait another hour for a replacement, I told him to eat it and I would call and have them do a credit, replacement, or whatever they saw fit.... Instead, the manager told me that they would NOT fix their mistake because my son had eaten the dish. That in order for them to replace the dish it must be returned (as if they were going to give it to a different unfortunate family). As a result of this, we will no longer be ordering from Papa Gios of East Orlando.
Very disappointed. Ordered a calzone that I waited 45 minutes for, my calzone that was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes. They lost my order and then told me it would be ready in another 10 minutes. After waiting the true amount of time, my ice cream and groceries melted in my car. They gave no refund. No discount. You lost a customer…
I was so excited to try this place out for the first time, but I was let down completely. I ordered my pizza at 7:05, the estimate time for delivery was 8:22. We called them at 8:30 and again at 9:30 to ask where our pizza was. The person on the phone deflected our request for compensation both times as they told us it was a busy night and deliveries had been estimated at 2 hours. At 9:45 when the pizza was delivered, the delivery person also refused to see our side and tried to walk away without giving us our change. They had to go back to their car to get change. On top of all this, the pizza was cold. There are much better places out there to get good pizza and that is where I’m taking my future business.
I had ordered wings and as soon as I opened the lid, all the wings were full of feather’s especially with this one wing on the top. It’s like they made sure the one with the most feathers was on top. It’s the fact that the employee had the audacity to cook the wings with the feathers on, not just that BUT CLOSING THE LID AND SERVING ME THE WINGS JUST LIKE THAT ! I went back and asked to speak to the manager, and I had asked him would he eat that and his response was “I eat them everyday”.
Pizza is good, but everything else is overcooked. Wings are overpriced, extremely dry, and can’t chew them. Can not believe they cost $20 and you can’t even eat them. Gabby is also extremely rude. Called me “sweetie,” at the end of every single sentence while placing an order over the phone. I have no idea why, but it was very off-putting. There are tons of pizza places, my family and I will be ordering from others.
This is the second time I have ordered from here, the first time they delivered to the wrong address. This time I ordered the large 1 topping pizza and a 2 liter deal. On the website they have Mr pibb listed as on option for soda. I select that, then after placing my order they call to tell me they don't have Pibb would I like root beer. I tell her no I don't drink root beer change it to a sprite. She says okay. Order shows up and the driver hands me root beer! I tell him no this is supposed to be a sprite, he says well the receipt says root beer so have a nice day and leaves. I call to say something and am told she will have the driver come out and bring me a sprite. Almost 30 minutes later no one shows. So I call again and met with yes Adriana I'm sorry we had another delivery come through so he is going to do that then bring you your sprite! Both times I ordered with this place and both times I had issues. I will never order pizza from here again.
Ate at this restaurant on 3/15. I ordered the mediterranean pizza which was barely warm and missing olives . There was only one other customer finishing up, so nit busy at all. The pizza seemed liked it was old and they added a sliced tomato and some red onions then warmed it. Usually when you get a freshly made pizza the cheese is so hot it slides off, instead the crest was just soggy. I ate 1 and a half slice. My husband ordered the lasagna which was a kids menu size and the center was cold. While we were waiting I observed the 3 young men just playing around. Touching their face, necklace wiping hands in clothes, picking croutons i think from a plastic container with a red lid over the salad station. One of them put on a glove on his right Hand to make a salad the used same on the mouse at the register and went back . We'll that pizza has me so sick. I'm the only one that ate the pizza and am the only one that had sharp pains, threw up , and have had diarrhea up until last night. This is the first time I did not read reviews before eating at a restaurant. Old cold food!!!!
They delivered me an old pizza and a flat coke. It was absolutely disgusting. When I called and asked them to make it right they offered me 10% off and gave me an attitude. I will never eat here again. Not only is the food disgusting but the people who run the place are equally horrible. Stay far away. These people don’t deserve to be in business honestly. I rarely write a bad review but in this case I was forced to. Was it really worth it to lose a customer over simply remaking the pizza and pouring a new drink? It seemed to me like their pride was more important than doing the right thing. I would rather write a good review than a bad one but I take reviews seriously and am only being honest.
I have ordered many times over the past 10+ years and usually pick up as their delivery time is slow. Quality of the food has gone down and we have started getting our pizza from another place however they dont deliver. We had company tonight so decided to try papa gios delivery again...huge mistake. After waiting 30.minutes past the delivery time we called and they said its on the way then hung up on us. Had to reach out multiple times for updates since over an hour had passed. Driver finally arrived and said he was in an accident. 2.5 hours from the time we placed the order and they gave us a 10% discount. If they cared about their customers it would have been best to have actually called and let us know. The food was cold and the quality has not improved since we last ordered. Sad to say we will not be ordering from here again in the future.
I really wanted to write a 5 star review but I can't, service was bad and the pizza was even worse. My husband wanted to try the siciliana and ordered a slice with pepperoni which they charged and didn't add, the slice was burnt and the cheese pizza was warm and it was supposed to be "freshly" made, it was a meh pizza. Very disappointed, will not go back.
Ordered many times over the last several yrs, got a bad batch of wings that you couldn't even chew, called and talked to gabby , she said no problem we will make a note and replace them next time you order. Nope there was no note made , wouldn't replace them, so I lost 20 dollars in wings they lost hundreds, that's how you loose business
Ordered for delivery and was told 30 minutes to an hour. An hour and 20 minutes later, I called and the associate indicated the driver was already on their way. Almost two hours went by so called again and asked to speak to the manager. She got on and apologized and assured me the driver should be here any minute and the food would still be hot! Well, he did arrive 2 minutes after I hung up but food was cold as could be. Sorry Papa Gios, you lost a customer. Would have rather be told it was going to be 2 hours so I could come get it myself and would still be eating hot food.
We placed our order online with Papa Gios, East Orlando with no issues. Our issue is regarding Papa Gios employees. They called to let us know one of the items was not available. When asked about a refund, they stated we would need to contact Chuluota? No details given and they were very short with us. When we picked up the order my husband asked about the refund. He had to request details to contact Menufy. When requested, Tanya one of the employees, was not very nice and other employees also came up and came across as intimidating. No one was willing to assist with a resolution and put it all on us to try and figure it out. When my husband asked Tanya for her name to make a note she let out a big sigh. The employees are not very friendly or professional. The food was not great. We ordered the lasagna with a side salad and a couple of meatballs. The meatballs weren't bad but didn't have a lot of flavor. The lasagna was just a big cheese ball and the noodles were falling apart. And not a lot of flavor either. The lettuce in the salad was brown and wilted. This was our first and last time trying this place. Do not suggest going there.
I can't even to begin on how disappointing this place was first off dine in the kid took our order we got wings to start this kid did not remember who they belong to walked our wings all over store asking tables skipping ours then I tell hubby I think those wings was ours when we asked he like oh yeah 10 mins later we got em then was told 45 mins for rest of our order it was just a pizza 45 mins for dine in I really could have ordered had delivered if I'm waiting that long in restaurant for food and not having to worry about my wings walking around to each table but mine this kid had no help till we was done with pizza and it started to get busy in restaurant unacceptable guys do better train him better he was everywhere come out and help or hire another person gees like really I've been in food and bev business over 35 years and gees this really sucked I was very disappointed 😞
Ordered and paid for 1 pizza, 10 wings , knots, and 2 liter at 4:57 pm. Called at 6:40pm to enquire when order would arrive to be told it hadn't been made yet! Order arrived at 730 pm. Not sure what else needs to be said! The real part that is disappointing is, what if I would not have called to enquire? The truth is I understand mistakes happen, but the girl on the phone was more interested in letting me know the order was placed prior to her shift starting. 2.5 hours to get dinner with a 20% tip included. Dominos it is from now on! Thanks
I had a terrible experience at Papa Gio’s Italian Restaurant. I ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza with ham and what they brought out was absolutely unacceptable. One slice was soggy and wet, like it hadn’t even been cooked properly, and the other was just a plain cheese slice with cold ham thrown on top after the fact. It looked and tasted disgusting. On top of that, the service was just as bad as the food—slow, careless, and with zero attention to the order. Definitely not worth the money or the time. The only person who was nice and attentive was and older man, he offer water while I was waiting and apologized for the delay. Other than that horrible.
The pizza after 30 min says it was done and ready to pick up, when I got there to pick up the pizza was not ready, after they made the second pizza I saw the guy that charge people and apparently do everything in the pizza shop wipe his seat with his hands and then grab basil with his bare hands and put it in to my pizza, of course I cancel the order, apparently this place was sold and the new owners don’t care of who they have working for them, at once the guy put his hand in his mouth, this was unacceptable. I definitely don’t recommend this place to no one anymore. Be careful where you buy your food from!
Placed an order for pizza and salad at 4:45 on a Monday to be delivered. By 6:30 when we still didn’t have a pizza I called and the same girl who took my order was surprised that we still did not have our order. She went to check on my order and came back to say she was sorry that they had not made my order and was just sorry. I had them cancel the order. My husband called back to talk to the manager and she said we was doing her best but had no real excuse for such bad customer service. Sounds like they need to hire some people who know how to run that place. We use to love their pizza but we will not be ordering from there for a long time.
