Very unique vibe with good food and drinks. Has a very fun way to enter the speakeasy. We surprised our friend on her birthday with it which was super cute!

What an amazing experience! I highly recommend you reserve in advance cause the place can be busy at some hours, we went on a Saturday evening and we loved every single thing our serve Tay recommended. The quality of the service and the food is something to return back for sure. Personally I enjoyed every single drink I had, and also the entrance when you are in a couple, so unique!

We had an incredible time at Roka Hula. I initially chose this venue after seeing some social media posts talking about the cool atmosphere, but was pleasantly surprised to discover absolutely amazing drinks and eats (and potentially the best bao buns in Orlando, imo - although it’ll cost you). We had an assortment of cocktails, 2 sushi rolls (the smoked tuna was especially great), the pork belly rice (pork belly in general here was some of the best I’ve ever had), and tried 3/4 bao bun options with our group. Everything delivered! Only docking a star for service because we were seated 30 minutes late, and our serve was attentive but not overly knowledgeable at explaining the different options or menu proactively (we had to ask a lot of questions)

My wife and I ended our day of anniversay celebration with drinks & apps at this beautiful hidden gem. Loved the unique entrance and the quality of everything; from the friendly & helpful staff, to the delicious food & extraordinary atmosphere. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town & recommend trying their Tuna Crispy Rice when you visit - it's amazing! They also have one of, if not, the best espresso martinis around. The cute "Happy Anniversary" card at the table was a nice touch & very appreciated [add the note to the reservation]. 10/10 Absolutely recommend.

I eat A LOT sushi and these were the best 2 rolls I’ve ever had. The Unagi Royale roll was so good! With Jamaly recommendation we had the Maine Lobster roll and that was amazing! Vibes were up, service was perfect, food & drinks were even better!!!

My wife and I went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted something different than our usual steakhouse dinner. Very cool place and experience.

Outstanding food, cocktails, and service! The drinks deviate from the standard tiki fare, with many incorporating bourbon, gin, vodka, and tequila. That said, there's plenty for rum lovers to enjoy as well. The quality of food and beverage more than makes up for the hefty price tags. Standouts included the wagyu omakase, king salmon roll, and the multi-rum banana old fashioned. As a tiki enthusiast, I felt a bit put off by the South Beach club vibe, including the music and the serious looking managers in suits, whispering to staff in front of customers to push sales of a monthly membership. Selfishly, I hope they make some adjustments to present a bit more friendly/escapist and a little less velvet rope. Overall, a strong recommend!

We visited the Roka Hula after having dinner at the Voodoo Bayou. The bartenders were amazing, as were the cocktails. We loved the names of the tiki drinks! The syrups for the drinks were made fresh and were not premixed overly sweet concoctions. I highly recommend the Banana Old Fashioned and the Freaky Franky. We look forward to a future trip to try some of the food, which looked delicious. Great atmosphere and overall vibe...did not disappoint.

Just Wow. Super different experience, at least for the Orlando norm. Put this spot on your list to get to ASAP. I don't even know where to begin, but let's start with the vibes. Nola/Voodoo Lounge/Asian/Speakeasy/Great Spot. Service was great from the hostess, to the server, to the food runner, to the floor manager. Now the food and drinks. Got the Freaky Franky, which is set on fire at presentation. It's a rum based drink and really really good. Also got the Demon Lover, which for the old heads will take you back with the pop rocks touch. It's a tequila based drink and was amazing. We ordered the Pork Gyoza and Thai Chili Pork Belly Baos. Cooked perfectly, busting with distinct flavors in every bite. For our mains we got the Main Lobster, Unagi Royale, and the Branzino rolls. The lobster roll is toped with shrimp and Lobster and just great. The Unagi which is BBQ Eel and wow. The Branzino which was our server's recommendation was the perfect combo of ingredients, but was the herbs hot oil is what set the roll over the top. Highly highly highly recommend visiting Roka Hula!

The real star in my opinion was our server, Jamaly. She was so knowledgeable and patient. She was able to offer food suggestions for my husband (a non-seafood person) and myself (a huge seafood person). She was constantly stopping by to check on us, offer refills, suggestions. It was an amazing experience and environment. I love the speakeasy concept. Will be returning next time we are in Orlando

Kelsey gave amazing service, very patient and gave all our entire meal recommendations from Start to Finish and got recommendations that didn’t miss, every course another taste was met. Band was outstanding and took requests, will definately return. My favorite was cornbread and shrimp in a Cajun sauce appetizer

The restaurant was absolutely stunning with its secret entrance being a highlight. However, the food and drinks were quite expensive, but the memorable experience made up for it. The food was delicious and bursting with flavor. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and hospitality. They even kept our water glasses full, which was a nice touch. While we were there, a drunken man invited himself to our table and bought us drinks. Despite his intoxication, he was polite and engaging. However, we politely declined his offer to pay for our dinner and he became slightly upset. Thankfully, the restaurant staff were alert and made us feel safe and protected. As we left, we noticed the man waiting for us outside, but the staff quickly stepped in and escorted us to our car. We are grateful for the excellent service and protection provided by the staff. Thank you for everything.

Awesome! It’s a word I don’t think I’ve used in more than 1000 reviews, but Roka Hula exceeds all expectations. Visiting on their second night of business we encountered near perfection. I had assumed this would be an experience aimed at the tourist and convention business, like its associated restaurant Voodo Bayou (you check in at their reception desk), which is good, but not earthshaking. But Roka Hula is not just an experience, but also an amazing cocktail/tiki bar and a superb sushi restaurant. The first thing you notice, as with any Tiki bar, is the ambiance. From the creative entry (I won’t spoil the experience) to the overall decor and vibe, this is a great space–calming, mysterious, and exciting all at once. The cocktail menu is expansive, and the three drinks I tried were all home runs. The gin and ginger Psycho Starlett and the complex and tart Saigon Suzy both went well with the sushi. And the Banana Old Fashioned (a complex mix of rums and a brulee’d banana syrup) is possibly my favorite cocktail of all time, a great way to end the meal. As expected with a Tiki bar, the wine list is very limited, but contains four interesting selections. The other star here is the sushi. I wasn’t expecting much, because food at a tiki bar is usually an afterthought, or cliched. But this place is serving some of the best quality fish in town, and some of the most creative sushi. The Hamachi Tiradito and Salmon Sashimi were both excellent starters. While not inexpensive, the portions and quality justified the cost. Smoky Spicy Tuna Roll was one of the most creative sushi dishes I’ve had. Sure, we’ve all had dishes served under a smoked dome, but the hickory and apple smoke here was a whole other level. The Buffalo Beef on Weck Roll was also really creative, with tenderloin wrapped in carpaccio and coated in caraway seeds. Service provided by Thyas and the accompanying staff was perfect. I am not often this surprised by a restaurant, especially in a tourist area, but Roak Hula blew me away.

Wow wow wow! What an experience. Figured it’s in tourist area so didn’t think much of it but glad we made a reservation and came!!! It is inside of voodoo bayou, check in at the counter and then they will ‘bring you’ into the room. Won’t say much more, very cool. It’s not a big room but it’s dark, decorated really cool! We were seated to our table. And our waitress Tay was wonderful! She explained everyone and suggested we start off with the tea experience. It was very cool, get your camera ready! Drink is a little sweet to my liking but over you just have to do it once! We got the following: - hamachi tiradito, delicious 9/10 - lobster roll 9/10 - buffalo beef roll, 3/10 didn’t really care for this roll, a couple of them was kinda chewy and had fat in it - cucumber salad 10/10 so good! Tofu croutons! Refreshing - unagi roll 10/10 love this flavor - Vietnamese baos 9/10, soft, excellent flavors - Vietnamese coffee affogato 10/10 so fun and so good!! We also got the freaky Frankie and psycho Starlette for drinks! Both very good. They will add 18% automatic service charge to check. Overall it’s so fun and drinks and food are both excellent!! Can’t wait to go back! Parking, if you go earlier there will be some parking, but they do have valet.

We came at the last minute to end the evening celebrating a friends birthday. The ambiance was perfect, the service was exceptional and the drinks were amazing! We had the lobster roll and it was super tasty and very well cooked. This is a speakeasy that I will most definitely visit again.

M
Mary Margaret Porcher (Maggie)

A little pricey but you get what you pay for, the sushi had quality ingredients and the bartender, a tall gentleman with brown hair, glasses, and a beard, who’s name I didn’t catch, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and able to suggest some great pairings. The main lobster roll was especially worth it. Perfect place to visit if you’re from out of town like I was and want to eat somewhere cool and memorable.

Roka Hula is truly one of Orlando’s best hidden gems. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve been transported somewhere else the ambiance is moody, stylish, and intimate, with dim lighting, jungle-inspired decor, and a speakeasy vibe that makes it feel exclusive and exciting. We started with cocktails, and every single one was creative and well-balanced. The Freaky Franky was smoky and bold, the Cherry Blossom Negroni had a beautiful floral twist, El Narco packed a spicy punch, and Tiki Time was tropical and fun. The presentation of each drink was thoughtful and elevated the whole experience. As for the food, it completely exceeded our expectations. The crispy rice was perfectly crunchy on the outside with a spicy tuna topping that melted in your mouth. The smoked spicy tuna was rich and flavorful, and the Korean short rib bao buns were tender and juicy with a slightly sweet glaze. The pork tonkotsu soup dumplings had a deep umami flavor, and the black cod was buttery, flaky, and probably my favorite dish of the night. The staff was also a highlight super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. They guided us through the menu and made great recommendations. Overall, Roka Hula is not just dinner it’s an experience. Perfect for date night or a special night out with friends. Highly recommend!

We happened upon Roka Hula while staying in Orlando and we were very surprised at the fine dining options here. Every dish was absolutely fantastic, and the staff were just as fantastic! Amazing food and such a unique vibe. Everything about Roka Hula is very aesthetic and it makes for a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend the fried rice and the gyoza too. And the drinks coming in one of a kind cups was definitely an added experience as well. I can’t wait to go back again one day!

An amazing speakeasy experience! Forget your theme park bars - this place is next level! A unique spinning wall opens to reveal a highly themed, intimate bar with craft cocktails and excellent bites. This place was amazing! I absolutely recommend making a reservation if you plan to go. It's a little hard to find but it's actually a speakeasy inside of Voodoo Bayou. Upon walking in you tell them you have a reservation for Roka Hula and the host/hostess show you how to get in. (I won't ruin the suprise). Once you get in you are immediately met by your waitress who shows you to your table. The food and drinks were delicious but the vibe puts this place over the top. It's definitely a great date night for you and your significant other.

This place was amazing! The drinks were incredible and the food was delicious. It was a bit on the pricey side but still a great experience. The atmosphere was amazing and beautifully decorated. There is a surprise (that I won’t spoil) for entering this speakeasy. But if you go up to the host stand they tell you how to get in. Of the drinks we had, the dead-lee and freaky Franky were our favorites. But every drink was great! Of the food, the ginger tuna crispy rice was our favorite. But again, everything was amazing!! The service was great. Our server Corey was amazing and gave us great recommendations. The only downside of the whole experience was when they lit a cocktail on fire, they used a butane torch and it left a butane taste. Using a match or a toothpick lit on fire would fix that.

This review is long overdue! I had dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a fun experience! I absolutely loved the rotating wall; it is so incredibly extra in the best way. I couldn’t resist taking a couple of pics before disappearing into the restaurant. The restaurant’s decor is a bold, upscale twist on a tiki lounge. It’s vibrant, immersive, and feels like a hidden (and forbidden) tropical escape. The cocktails were just as extra as the decor! The Go-Go Devil, Dead-Lee and Freaky Frank came in the cutest mugs. The server did a little fire show off of Freaky Frank’s head that was fun to watch! Our Smoked Tuna Roll came out in a cloud of smoke which added to the presentation and the taste. We ordered the Pork Belly Fried Rice, Roka Hula Rainbow Roll, the Korean Pork Belly Bao, and the Balls of Glory Donuts. The food was great, the vibes were good, and memories were made. It was the perfect way to celebrate another trip around the sun!

This experience is an event! If you're on a budget, hold off until you can splurge. You'll start with a photo op seating area that turns your life around (literally) and brings you into a speak easy world of enchantment. Order a specialty drink, many come in special glassware to enhance the experience. Monkey business was delightful, this rum old fashion has a well balanced tasty banana flavored version of one of my favorite cocktails & was truly a delight. The Roka hula roll was delicious as well as the kimchi edamame. The fries were impressive and brought some flavorful heat. The pork belly friend rice was bursting with flavor and a delight to all senses. Our server Joyce was amazing!

Awesome little tiki-like bar off the side of Voodoo. Sushi is great, and cocktails are diverse enough to please almost everyone. A cool bar located in Voodoo Bayou. It does get packed and there is limited open bar seating. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and the craft cocktails were good. The menu differs from Voodoo.

Great experience! What the whole experience! Went with a couple of friends and we tried a couple of things. For food, we did the edamame, 2 rolled (branzino, rainbow) and tuna tartare. For the edamame, for dairy free - remove parm and ask for it to be cooked without the butter (wish they had signs on their menus...). The Branzino roll was decent, a bit more on the fishy side for me but it was fresh and light. The rainbow roll was also decent, I was the menu was a little more descriptive.. I also got a couple of the cocktails cause that's what they are known for right?! I got the colada and also the freaky franky and they were both on the sweeter sides but still very tasty and has the experience to it. I also tried the Tea-Ki time which was also an experience! The tea concoction had a bunch of stuff but it was tasty tea. Environment This has a secret entrance, reservations recommended. This was VERY VERY VERY thoroughly decorated! A lot of thoughts put into this. Very themed. There quite a number of seats inside. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff to do the experiences, knowing people would want to take photos etc. Also since everything is tapas style, they took orders and brought orders as you order. Dollar IT WAS EXPENSIVE. For me, this is not a regular casual outing spot, it is more of a special occasion outing for me. The range for drinks are near 20$ for the cocktails and a roll was also in the 20s. Yes I would but not a frequent place

The place is eye-catching, with vibrant and modern décor that feels completely immersive. The rotating wall is such a fun, entertaining touch—it really makes you feel like you’re stepping into a secret spot. Overall, we had a great dinner out with friends at Roka Hola!

Super cool experience. Love the way you get into the speak easy. My shrimp rolls were tasty and that sauce is perfect spicy. Our server was so sweet. The decor was amazing. The only reason it’s 4 out of 5 stars is because most of their drinks are all ice and they are not cheap but the little you get is tasty. We enjoyed the tea one (no ice lol). I recommend going here but make reservations!

Overall, I had a really nice time at Roka Hula. It is a small area hidden inside of the Voodoo Bayou restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant, the food was delicious, the service was superb, and the drinks were interesting. The themed cocktails were a highlight, and the ambiance really made for a fun night out. A unique and fun experience. The only downside was that many patrons didn’t follow the dress code, (Business casual as stated on OpenTable) which took away from the upscale vibe the establishment is clearly aiming for. On the Voodoo Bayou side, it felt a bit slummy in there. It would be nice if the staff enforced it more to maintain the classy and stylish environment.

Roka Hula is located inside Voodoo Bayou. The decor is fabulous! When I visited they had a live band, great entertainment. We sat at the bar, and had the most delicious drinks. They have a variety of themed drinks, it’s very cool. And the food is good too, although I only tried appetizers. I will return to try the food.

This place doesn't feel like a tiki speakeasy. The music isn't tiki themed and theres little I'm the way of atmosphere to pull you into the make-believe. It is an acceptable Asian fusion restaurant. Ramen was a bit on the salt heavy side.

Me and my friends came to visit from Miami and would rate Roka Hula a 6/10. Finding the plaza was simple, and the restaurant itself is tucked inside Voodoo Bayou, which makes the experience feel unique. To enter the speakeasy, you sit on a chair that spins you around into the hidden bar—such a fun and creative touch! At first, we were really excited, but things went downhill when our drink order was mixed up, and the udon noodles were served cold. Even the plate wasn’t warm, which was disappointing. The service also felt very impersonal and out of touch. I know the manager came to assist, but overall it was very touch and go. On the bright side, the short rib gyoza and the crab fried rice were excellent like literally both items were packed with flavor and exactly what we were hoping for. The Hamachi was fresh with a beautiful presentation, but it definitely needed a sauce to bring out the flavor. Btw the espresso martini is AMAZING! Overall, a creative and stylish spot with some standout dishes, but the execution and service need more consistency

We went into Roka Hula for a couple more drinks after having a great time at Voodoo Bayou, but even though the atmosphere was also charming, it didn’t live up to the expectations. The cocktails weren’t as enjoyable, to a point that we sent one back and almost refused a second. They also seemed a bit pricey for the amount of ice per volume of substance. Overall, the service wasn’t bad but, the staff weren’t as welcoming either.

Our 5:15 PM reservation at Roku Hula started on a sour note. Despite arriving a mere ten minutes early at 5:05 PM, we weren't seated until a full fifteen minutes past our scheduled time, at 5:30 PM. For a bill that topped $100 for just four drinks and one appetizer, the expectation of being seated promptly at the reservation time isn't unreasonable – it's practically a given. This initial disappointment definitely set a negative tone for the evening. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. My wife's visit to the women's restroom painted a truly unpleasant picture: toilet paper strewn across the floor, grimy sinks, a sticky floor that made you think twice about where you stepped, and to top it all off, no toilet paper in the stalls. Seriously? This level of neglect is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one commanding these prices. My wife actually had to seek out a manager just to get toilet paper – a situation that felt more like a scene from a sitcom gone wrong than a relaxing night out. While the drinks themselves were admittedly fun and well-crafted, and our bartender and waitress provided excellent service, the significant shortcomings in the front-of-house management and the appalling state of the restroom completely overshadowed any positives. Honestly, with the plethora of other tiki-themed bars in the Orlando area, I can't recommend Roku Hula. The lack of respect for reservation times and the shockingly unhygienic restroom conditions are major red flags. Save your money and your evening for a place that values both your time and basic cleanliness. There are definitely better tiki escapes to be found elsewhere.

We love that place because the food was so good. So I reserved it to go there on our anniversary and then a week before they canceled because they had some corporate party Buy out the entire restaurant. So I guess it doesn't matter if you're just an individual couple, You get bumped so they can make more money. Very sad.

Horrible service. I had family come in town for my birthday dinner which I booked my reservation weeks in advance for them to call me a day before and cancel because someone had bought out the restaurant and only offer us ONE free appetizer to go to their side location which decor isn’t as nice as theirs or food does not look as pleasing. Don’t book here for important events unless you want to be disappointed. Totally ruined my entire birthday.

Never thought I would have going back for the second time, just because my partner wanna try it out. Been there for the opening month, it was busy and pretty much everything just about fine. And Food and drink is overpriced compare to lots bars in orlando, both food and drink just fine, nothing really crazy about it. That’s why when this second time back see that wasn’t busy I can see why! Poor of the management service, we have couple drinks, everything went go pretty normal, until we have find an hair on the food. Server took the food back, few moments later a manager guy come, just check and said: how’s everything? That’s it! Not apology, thinking might be us to put the hair on it. Which we did order the most expensive item on the food. The a5 wagyu sushi. But I can tell you this, this can’t be the a5 wagyu from Japan. Another moment later, the server came, ask if they can replace a dessert for that hair issue. We weren’t asking for the replace of whole plate, but we asked for the replace of that piece, not a replacement of a desserts. Not one admit the mistake, kind of blame on the customer! Horrible experience! ! If you in the area, go somewhere else, really nothing crazy about this place! Go social, vines, Rocco’s, any where is better than this place!

I was extremely disappointed with this experience, especially considering how highly rated this place is on TikTok and Yelp. We came in when no one else was there, so we expected fresh food and attentive service. Unfortunately, neither happened. The ribs were served cold, and when we politely mentioned it, the woman we spoke to did not acknowledge the issue or offer any solution. We also did not like the waygu sushi roll you might think we are being picky but genuinely it tasted like butane from the torch and it gave more Publix sliced beef than waygu and was not worth the 34 dollars a roll. Honestly the crispy tuna rice appetizer was amazing the sauce carried the Thai glazed bao bun was mid at best and the pork belly fried rice was definitely not a hit either. On top of that, the service was poor. Our waitress was not attentive at all, and we never even got her name. Overall, the food and service did not come close to matching the hype, and the experience left a lot to be desired. PLEASE LISTEN to the TikTok comments it’s not worth the money and I’m on bodybuilding prep and this was not worth my free meal and that speaks volumes
